It must be so sad and depressing to be CSW... He has benefited so much from Bitcoin, he has so much money he can do anything he wants, and yet he is consumed by hatred, envy and bitterness, suing anyone and everyone who opposes his absurd claims, wasting time and energy supporting BSV and other pointless projects that will soon be forgotten.

He must be a deeply unhappy and unlikable person. I'd rather be a beggar on the street than be him.

So sad. Just goes to show that money =/= happiness.

Miami Uploads Bitcoin White Paper to Municipal Website

Mayor Suarez once again pledged to turn Miami into a "hub for crypto innovation."

CSW lawsuit incoming?

Will also need to sue US rep mchenry.house.gov/bitcoin.pdf and a couple of countries

Edit: On a side note has anyone heard of Aave coin? Well it has higher market cap than BSv which slid to #16 on CMC. I bet BSv holders are happy to have Faketoshi

WoW, Gamestop was the most traded equity on the planet today.

Reddit army just killed one hedge fund and bailed out by their Wallstreet friends instantly.

Wall Street billionaires lost $8b in one day.

Elon musk shilling GME.

lol. Cool

Isn't colluding to pump/dump a stock, market manipulation by definition? This is not bitcoin, SEC can go after them

Of course the MSM has been dead silent about this. Gotta push those expensive vaccines.

The vaccines cost a few dollars per shot.

This is a false (fraudulent?) economy. There are many downsides to vaccines and those costs are externalised ... in fact big pharma makes sure of that by getting governments to sign water-tight liability waivers. dyodd.

There are many downsides to getting fucking COVID, too.

... those costs are on the Chinese Commie Lab that leaked it out ... if you're counting.

Yeah there are downsides to everything, there's a calculable chance of you getting hit by a lightning, or getting killed by your fridge right now, or for every single one of your atoms to spontaneously transfer behind a wall. I believe that's why most of us are here, we're able to do a cost/benefit analysis. Amongst others, the ultimate downsides of COVID is death, now everyone needs to consider the chances of dying from the vaccine vs COVID. Of course there are tons of additional unknown risks that should be considered, but those exists on both sides (and are highly speculative until we have more data). Calculations are not the same for everyone and highly personalized, if you're 90 short term consequences should be of much higher concern vs say if you're 18yrs old

If i was asked to say the most anti Satoshi thing i could think of i'd be hard pressed to think of something better that this

...I will burn Cryptocurrency to non existence and have the US government collect the ashes...

In any case, expecting mass carpet lawsuits against every dev next, hope they're ready and coordination is being prepped. Short term contingency plans for anonymous contributions behind tor, etc would also be nice. Bastards can easily finance it by Ayre shorting the market by front running  the "announcement" too.

for sure this guy have serious mental problems. I cant explain why someone whiling to burn his money so easy. There is not a single court in this world that can win a case like this.
Maybe he gambling that ppl will step down after the threats and the cases will never get to the court but if i was a dev and get a threat like this i will never have step down.
This guy not only will loose every trial but he had in the end to pay and the trial fees.

The point of these lawsuits is not to win but cause as much financial and personal losses as possible. Easy to say that you'd never step down when you're behind a keyboard, but when you're served, fighting it means you're guaranteed huge financial and personal losses which can drag out for years (look at Kleiman), and your best case outcome is you're back to where you were before the lawsuit started. Devs should be left to code and not litigate. Since foundation is no more, hoping something is being organized to coordinate/fund raise once every contribute to git is served, at this point i'd be disappointed in faketoshi if this DIDN'T happen.

i think in this space especially devs have the money to not afraid lawsuits.

That's just not true, devs are not traders or investors (or lawyers). Time is money, and they're already committing a lot of their time to the project, they're the ultimate "i'm in it for the tech" people. I'm sure some that had spare resources are well off, but many like Andreas A. who despite writing one of the first books on it, never held a huge stash. I'm going to guess you never been dragged through the courts, constant lawyer fees, endless emergency motions, never ending meeting etc etc etc... are no fun, now when it drags for years it becomes a real issue (and that's the point). Devs don't mind compromising on what they perceive as semantics, just to be left alone and continue working on the tech (exactly what we see happening here). Expecting devs to jump on the grenade not for their personal work, but to defend communities' ability to rightfully use the term bitcoin is ridiculous. The consequence of such (non tech) decisions should be analyzed by lawyers, funded by investors (who have the most to loose). Luckily as we see Fidelity (and coinbase?) hosting the whitepaper they seemed to have picked up on this.

Ha just saw this

That's a nice 1 ton gorilla in our corner, i can imagine ontier's lawyers having a heart attack when seeing this

Edit: Oh you claim to have $5 billion, that's cute, see this guerilla right there it actually has much much more  Grin

File a motion to dismiss, lawsuits with no merit get thrown out easily.

Easy peasy, no coordination needed.

I'm sure CSW already knows this, but his followers don't because they are a special kind of idiot.

Unfortunately frivolous lawsuits are a thing in current reality, putting it together with unregulated currency, makes it a perfect combination for market manipulations.
1-Ayre shorts the market,
2-CSW files couple of hundred lawsuits with the goal of dragging them out for as long as possible. Mass media gets a field day
3-Profit

BSv is totally not a cult, nope not at all

Psychologists who would compare this message to the writings of the actual Satoshi would say that CSW is definitely *not* Satoshi, because Satoshi never ever wrote narcissistic, delusional statements like this.

*thanks g for the warning and thanks also for this great topic...
taking care of that scammer would only be a drain on energy. he will not recover from his ambition to become the richest man in the world with the Bitcoin whitepaper in under his bed. C.W is a jerk as well as bsv.

Questions is whether this would be setting a precedent, and would be harder to challenge later on. Clearly the goal here is not to hide the whitepaper but rather spook investors and once again remind of yourself as an ongoing risk to be considered.

I'm surprised to see that one man (even backed by a billionaire) is able to terrorize everyone. I'm guessing this is not challenged in court due to limited financial resources? Is crowdfunding an option?

Ugh why don't someone create anti Faketoshi legal fund already, and hire full time attorney, i'm sure greyscale/coinbase can spare $1MM/yr . How is he still relevant is beyond me. Bitcoincore devs that decided to bend over in just 2hrs, leaving others to standup by themselves, should be left to coding and removed from any legal decisions.

Before you read it elsewhere.
Fasten your seatbelts guys.

On January 18 Grayscale added 16,244 BTC to their Bitcoin fund!

More than 600,000,000 inflows on a single day.
Highest BTC inflow ever.
Highest USD inflow ever.
More info here, on my GBTC Observer thread.

Any info on others besides GrayScale piling into BTC? I mean what if they decide to 'slack off' and slow down purchases now due to the 'caution' of a pullback

and wait for the pullback to buy again? Is there enough PayPal and other Traditional Investors now in play, to at 'least' keep the price sideways?

Or are we looking at the usual 'Bitcoin you merciless bitch' ..plain old 50% pullback...brief or otherwise?

Thanks, just wondering if the current BTC price is a 1 trick pony with GrayScale hype/FOMO mostly.

Brad

Edit: You 'hang around' WO Bitcointalk Thread enough and info will eventually fall from the sky...anyway...link to some of my questions in article below.

https://medium.com/coinmonks/grayscale-trust-and-the-effect-on-crypto-prices-3bbd49d6fcb7

It's not like GrayScale is buying themselves with their own funds, they're just a vehicle for others to get exposure to BTC. When/if ETF fund will get approved they'll drop hard and their premium will go away, because all of the investors would switch to ETF with lower fees. If investor interest dries up altogether then BTC price will correct accordingly

WRT personal technology, the masses' rationality makes zero sense.

Spending $1000 on a laptop, just to: have the occasional chat, play a game, check the time, and check the weather.
Masses: What a huge waste of your money!

Spending $1000 on a smartphone, just to: have the occasional chat, play a game, check the time, and check the weather.
Masses: This is the way! Great use of your money!

Guys, so if I wanted to be a blockchain developer, where I should start?
i would love to study and why not become a blockchain dev because I know it will help me in the future, but I don't have any good sources where I can start, any help!
 thanks.

Look for a bank or government working on blockchain, not Bitcoin. They love that shit.

Also, you won't have to build a blockchain. Learn Oracle.

you dont need a bank or government to be a blockchain dev tho, you can do that on your own.

thanks, i will use this information.

There is no blockchain, it's an illusion, only bitcoin. If you want to become "blockchain" dev learn SQL. If you want to dev bitcoin start here https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information/technical-resources.html

Where's Lambie?

Tulsi Gabbard was in a local commercial just now and she was looking pretty good.

She'll still look good in 4 years; maybe by then some crazy shit will have happened and she'll be elected as the hottest president ever. We can only hope.

I'd also settle for AOC.

Oh yeah, I said it. It will happen eventually so prepare your retented anuses.

Heard Lambie had an unfortunate accident with erotic asphyxiation at a Nazi party
