Sounds interesting.
What is XP? Experience Points? Is there leveling involved?
Yep, you get small bonuses when you level up. Haven't thought of what exactly. It's to encourage people to keep on playing. There would be different hunting grounds, each hunting ground has a mix of different animals. For example, you'd probably want to bring a ranged weapon to a hunting ground populated with birds.

|
1. Create your character in Stone Age. 2. Deposit bitcoins to buy weapons and armor to hunt. 3. Or gather raw materials to craft weapons and sellon the player based economy. Hunting:Higher risk Bigger XP, coin rewards Chance of hunting a dinosaur Gathering:Lower risk (you won't usually encounter animals to fight) Low XP, raw materials as rewards which can be crafted into weapons CombatEncountered a wild animal? You can choose to fight or flee (doesn't always work). After that, you use your weapon to attack. It's all turn based and you can choose the chance. Eg: One weapon that does 100 damage: 30% chance to do 333 damage 50% chance to do 200 damage 90% chance to do 111 damage Now there's some tactical choices you can make with a bit of gambling What if you die? Well you lose your weapon which is worth something.

"Hey, have you heard of bitcoins?"
"What's bitcoins?"
"Oh it's a digital currency where you mine for them with your computer or graphics card or ASIC."
"How do you mine them?"
"You change a nonce to make the hash of the block have a certain amount of leading zeros as per the difficulty."
"Cool.. Have you seen that video on youtube?"
--- vs ---
"Hey, have you heard of bitcoins?"
"What's bitcoins?"
"Oh it's a digital currency, basically cash but decentralized."
"So what exactly is a bitcoin?"
"It's just a stream of bits that are cryptographically encrypted. You can transfer the bitcoins to people in exchange for goods and services, just like cash."
"So can't I just copy the bits and make more bitcoins?"
"No, because once you spend the bits, you can't spend them again since there is a history called the blockchain!"
"What's the point of bitcoins through?"
"They can be used by anyone in the world, there's low fees, and it's designed to not inflate! So you're expected to get richer holding bitcoins, instead of losing money."
"Sounds interesting, how do I get bitcoins?"
"Here, have a bitcoin! Merry christmas!"

Hmm, this is actually a good point. Lower interest rates than inflation should drive the economy, but we're doing fine in Australia..
|
|
|
Example for Australia: $150,890 million - Individuals Income Tax (includes capital gains)$121,907 million - Social Security and Welfare$21,277 million - Defence1. Remove income tax. 2. Remove social security and welfare. 3. Remove defence (we don't need to be fighting in any wars) 4. Bump up the corporate tax by 1% or so. 5. 6. PROFIT!
|
|
|
From a quick search, I saw interest rates of 0.95% or something. Inflation is nearly 3 times that. That means you're going to be losing money putting it in a bank.
In Australia the interest rates are about 3%-4%, some banks give you 5% as long as you deposit $200 a month and don't withdraw. Sure, inflation + tax takes most of it away, but you're still becoming wealthier. What's different in the US?

|
|
Wow, really? Normally I wouldn't care but you're preying on the unaware who don't know how jailbreaking is just essentially pressing one button..

Not that bothered, just want a quick and easy deal and get some bitcoins, otherwise going to have to withdraw them from things I don't really want to. And I need them pretty quickly.
I can do $15 a coin for 1 BTC.

hello guys
i need to buy $4000 bitcoins weekly. is there anyone in north nj that I can meet in a public place?? (I live in Sussex county)
do a lot of people mail money? or is that not safe. mailing money is kinda the last thing I wanna do but I need to get bitcoins and moneygram and stuff has limits. so meeting someone in person who will take cash is the easiest.
I have a feeling whoever supplies this guy with bitcoins will get raided by the DEA.

Thanks for the info! We have been considering adding the ability to play for BTC without registering for a while, but we just haven't really seen any demand so we've been focusing on other features. Now that I see some real demand for this in the wild, I think we'll prioritize this. Thanks!
https://bitcoinvideopoker.com/ has an interesting take on this. When you go there for the first time, they redirect you to a secret URL which you bookmark. That URL then acts as your credentials - you don't need a username or password. This is exactly the same scheme as is used by https://instawallet.org/. I would say it's a pretty bad one. People are using more and more devices - eg home PC, laptop, iPad, phone. Now of course you can use Chrome Sync or something, but the better way would be to have a guest AND registration option.

I am a simple website admin, I am not here to discuss cryptography or any technical related info. I am a messenger between the person above me and the average user, I reply to emails, help resolve account problems etc etc, anyone with enough braincells to comprehend the concept of internal company hierarchy will understand that no one will pay a chief security expert which works with banks (and we have access to those) 150$ an hour to discuss ciphers with 16 year old teenagers that play Minecraft.
It is clear how much competition and dirty promoting exist on these forums since I was met with sticks and stones.
I mean no disrespect but I would rather trust my money to casino 777 than Satoshi or any other "provably fair" casino which will likely loose it's bitcoins as foolishly as Bitcoinia. Those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. If there are any serious entrepreneurs that are ready to invest I can easily arrange an online chat with an expert.
Got it. Like Tom Smykowski. He deals with the god damn customers, so the engineers don't have to. He has people skills, he is good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people? CasinoBit, you should hire me as a PR manager. Currently, you are doing PR worse than MPOE-PR, and that is really an achievement.

Okay, I think I have some pretty bad luck - sent 0.100001 btc with proper fees, didn't get in the block which came after 5 minutes... And plus the "initial block didn't get in" happened to me too What do you mean "initial block didn't get in"? You mean initial bid? Yes, initial bid I know the game is provably fair, just that I seem to be making up for everyone else winning lol.

I bought an item on ebay that I'm a little short on.
i'm just curious how obtaining a bitcoin helps with that ... do you cash it out to paypal and use that for payment? Ploni seems reputable, but I wonder if he ever heard of a credit card?

Would anyone be interested in a searchable scammer database? Let's say you find a scammer. You enter as much info you know about them as you can. Example: firstname: bob lastname: scamy mobilephone: +61425775238 homephone: null address: 17 fake street photoid: (Uploaded image that would be indexed by Google so you can use reverse image search) email: bob@gmail.comdescription: Bob Scamy has scammed 10 bitcoins out of me by completely ignoring my emails. forumthread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?fdsfdsfsdfsdotc-nick: bobscamy
