741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: July 15, 2023, 05:23:55 AM
Donald Trump had several casinos that went bankrupt but I don't think it was because of players winning too much. A player winning might only be one of several factors that can lead to a casino having financial problems. Casinos have salaries they have to pay employees and they need to give away nice bonuses to attract new customers. Your expenses might become unsustainable if you are not bringing enough revenue to cover those costs. Casinos are legally allowed to ban players if they win too much so it is nearly impossible to go bankrupt solely for this reason.
I seriously didn't know that casinos are legally allowed to ban a player if they are winning a lot of money, I used to think that they can't do anything in that case because it's the luck of the players since most gamblers eventually lose even after winning, so the house eventually gets the money back, it might be one out of hundreds of thousands where a person keeps winning money in a casino without even losing at all which can be a problem for the casino, of course.

If we talk about a casino going bankrupt, I believe they go bankrupt when they don't get enough gamblers and they still have to pay their employees as you said, and marketing campaigns eat most of the revenue of the casinos, I'm not sure about land-based casinos but that is at least the case with online casinos.
742  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a successful Bitcoin investor as a newbies? on: July 14, 2023, 05:12:00 PM
For becoming a successful trader with bitcoin I think one thing is most important and that is the patience's. Also, the things you mentioned are not out of the norm. But it must be patient among bitcoin investors because only if patient can hold for long term and in long term bitcoin definitely brings a good profit. And for those who are not patient, I would say no to Bitcoin Training Mainly.
Patience is important to get good results from any investment. And if you invest in Bitcoin and hold patiently, you can certainly make good profits. But patience and knowledge are also required, if an investor does not have proper knowledge about Bitcoin then that investor will not be able to get good results from the market. Therefore, knowledge is important for all traders, investors, if you make a mistake in the market, the market will not give you another chance. Investors who have made huge gains from Bitcoin know exactly what Bitcoin is and how it works, because they have proper knowledge about Bitcoin.
Patience is definitely one of the most crucial aspects of trading, one cannot become a successful trader until one become too patient that they won't sell very easily no matter how bad market conditions might get sometimes, and this happens a lot of time with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies where you buy them at one point and soon after, you will see that they've dropped below that point and your portfolio is at a loss at that moment.

In such a situation, someone who is patient can control their emotions and won't panic sell by seeing their portfolio being red but they keep holding until the market recovers back which is what it generally does and then they start selling their assets one by one.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 13, 2023, 06:04:24 PM
There's no need to be curious like that, because maybe his performance will still be the same as in the Premier League if he (Kane) manages to move to Bayern Munich next season. However, until now the clarity regarding his move to Bayern Munich is still uncertain because there may not yet be a meeting point for an agreement between the two teams (Tottenham and Bayern Munich). So we'll just have to wait and see how the rumors regarding Kane continue this summer.
Kane is good to play at Bayern Munich or at several other Premier League teams including Manchester United. If Bayern Munich really manages to sign Kane, then the quality of their front line will be even better next season. Despite all that, it seems that Kane will not take any definite steps to move to Bayern Munich considering that Tottenham will not let him leave for under 100 million euros. Bayern Munich are not going to buy if the price is that high, so not much development can be expected from the transfer.
Here I am really pissed of about Tottenham's Chairman mindset because they know Harry Kane is having last season here at this club with next season he could be free agent and Bayern Munich is also increasing their bid as they are desperate to sign him which surely increase their front and also chances for the win of Champions League, but they are missing this opportunity and insisting their £100million big which is surely not going to fill at the end of day.

But many are hoping for the positive end of this war between Tottenham and Bayern Munich because all know Harry Kane is also wanted to leave this club for the better end of his career as he is after spending long time here at Tottenham have no trophy in front of his name which is surely not justice for the player like him.
744  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making a x10 or x100 by short selling on: July 12, 2023, 05:22:10 PM
No one considered that the most you can profit from a short position is 1x of the amount you used for short selling.

To illustrate, if the trader has $1,000 in his account and wanted to use 10x leverage - $10,000 - to short something priced at $100, then the highest amount the trader could take profit is $10,000 IF the coin crashed to zero. The only reason why there's a potential to profit 10x of the original capital is because of leverage, NOT because there's an exponential return.
The OP said that it might be easier to make 10x shorting. well, I think he really hasn't gotten into trading yet. Even when we get 2x profits when short, it is a very good thing. it's not as easy as the OP said. in fact, it takes persistence for it, it's not even easy to get 2x when going short. In addition, many people who target short, get stuck and end up holding on long term because the price of the coin they are buying has dropped drastically. Imagine making $10k, with $1k in a short amount of time. well, I think if it was that easy, nowadays people tend to prefer trading over investing.
One can simply not hold if they are trading in futures, they will either get profit or get liquidated if the market moves in the opposite direction based on what leverage they have selected for their trade, so it's obviously not easy to get 10x in futures trading, even the ones who are experts of the market tend to lose money when it comes to short futures trading because it is very difficult to perfectly time the market in these kind of situations.

Futures trading is basically not for users who have no knowledge or experience at all, newbies need to stay away from futures trading because they will easily lose all their capital in no time if they just get influenced and start trading futures so that they get a lot of profit in a short period of time.
745  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of Farming. on: July 12, 2023, 05:03:50 AM
Real estate is taking the order of the day and been used for commercialization and business purposes but still, there is enough land enough to produce food for all in a country if there is enough equipment and machinery also needed for employee and employer labor
There is obviously enough land for agriculture in every country at present, but these problems of extreme urbanization will occur in the future when the lands that are now used for farming will be used for buildings or factories where people will either live or have their work set up, we have been seeing this happening with forests already where forests are cut down only so that there can be more urbanization and industrialization which is dangerous for the long run.

Humans can't survive without nature but humans are cutting down nature themselves that too in an alarming rate. So, just like the ozone layer is in danger of getting destroyed, we will have farming problems at very extreme levels in the future due to the increasing population of the world.
746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 12, 2023, 02:48:10 AM
PSG itself who has been making mbappe's price becomes non sense price. If PSG would not sign him for about €180m and i do believe if PSG will not be able to sell him with such price. The fact that if PSG was crazily buying player with non sense price was greatly affecting the price of player in the market. All of teams were trying to increase the price of their players as high as possible to make sure the big club will pay more for their players. PSG has been destroying the market since the club was buying mbappe and neymar with non sense price. I can't describe it now but all of prices in the market don't make sense right now. Even rice priced €120 which is so crazy for me to see him.
His performance was average but the small club is now also trying to grab money as much as possible. It looks so crazy how the price of football is going up so high like there was no limitation for that.
I don't sure with Real Madrid want to pay transfer fees for Mbappe on €180m, exactly is most crazy offer from PSG depend on Mbappe contract over next year and he will be free agent. Real Madrid will waiting one year later for signing Mbappe with free transfer without pay above €180m as PSG bid offer. I don't think easy any teams want to accept with PSG bid offer transfer fees because its expensive due Mbappe contract left one year.

Ideal fees transfer around €100m for Mbappe and above this price I don't think any team want to sign him, right now depend on PSG want to sell Mbappe with €100m or keep him become free agent next season due PSG bid offer above €180m its difficult for all teams who interested for signing Mbappe.
Right now no one is surely what is going to happen about this all because as you mention already most chances no one going to pay price like this which is surely correct because we all now after covid still mostly clubs are suffering and have no enough funds to invest amount like this but after contract rejection from Mbappé now most chances PSG will not take any risk for allowing him to go as free agent hopefully things will be clear in coming days with most chances if we have no positive response from the Real Madrid then surely Mbappé will be in English Premier League for few seasons because right now just these clubs can invest amount like this and also have good chance of having player like Mbappé here in England.

Real Madrid president already announces they will not invest this asking amount as they have no funds so with this PSG is surely tried to do all-ways for their own safety with his desire for leaving PSG is also settled, and we have no chance he will stay here.
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is actually a Bitcoin investor on: July 11, 2023, 05:19:40 PM
When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?
Generally, when people call someone a Bitcoin investor, they simply mean that the person has invested money in Bitcoin but is not someone who spends Bitcoins. So, if you have used your fiat money and bought Bitcoin, and haven't sent them anywhere yet, you are a Bitcoin investor, but if you have bought Bitcoin and used them somewhere and don't have any anymore, you won't be considered a Bitcoin investor, if you are trading with your bought Bitcoins, you are also considered an investor.

But I think, if you have used your bought Bitcoins for trading altcoins, then you might be considered an altcoin investor since you won't have any Bitcoins anymore, so all in all, if you have bought Bitcoins and are holding at least some part of it, you are considered to be a Bitcoin investor.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: look, look, what's this on: July 11, 2023, 03:58:34 PM
Tried so much to understand what you are saying but couldn't but all the same for clarity's sake,  you have to know that cryptocurrency can not be traded offline and at that you may have been wrong in that statement.

I advise you to make your way around rearranging your words and sentence as to make an understandable statement that can trigger a discussion regarding the topic.
According to the original cryptocurrency theory, the structure of chains and blocks really cannot be offline.  But this is a brand new technology.  It is not only encrypted, but also offline!
Generally, things that operate offline are less vulnerable to attacks and exploits but I wonder how can transactions and stuff be recorded in real-time if everything is done offline, and how will the chain updates itself with the recent data if everything is offline, and how can people see transactions happening if they are not being uploaded into a server or something? There are a lot of things that need to be considered and answered.

If whatever you are saying is true and there is a technology being created like this, I'm pretty excited to learn more about it and understand how it actually works because I've never thought that it can be possible for a digital currency to work totally offline without the need of the internet.
749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2024 halving less than 1 year away on: July 10, 2023, 05:28:23 PM
Getting closer really makes me feel amazing about the near future. Normally I do not talk about the near future, I talk about how the future may look a bit differently and the long term is great but short term is unknown and so forth. Basically I try to avoid saying that near future would be good, I always say its going to be a gamble and we can't say it will be good, only good things I say is about the long term future and not the near term. However, when we are this close to halving, I have a better feeling about the short term as well, of course my "short term" is within 1 year, which means about summer of next year, or earlier than that, and I feel like we are going to do as well as hoped for.
I think I can agree with that in terms of Bitcoin because we already have a basis if we check its price history and as a result we always have this mindset that the longer we get the better value can get for our Bitcoin investments.

Let's only hope that other things outside Bitcoin are going to do well at least mostly because down times are also normal and let's hope they won't be severe so that we can recover quickly. In between long and short term, I think short term is the one that is more predictable. It's also better if we don't expect too much about the future so don't we won't get disappointed just in case we didn't meet our expectations.
750  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to understood our world economy here is the example on: July 10, 2023, 09:44:26 AM
You're probably wrong on certain points. For one, fiat has only one direction, and it's downward. Shitcoins at least pump and dump. A shitcoin could actually multiply your worth a hundred fold very quickly. It can't happen with fiat. The monetary design is that money should slowly yet continuously lose its purchasing power, although sometimes it accelerates out of control.

You're also probably wrong when you compare crises like the pandemic to be a time for rejection or correction and that the huge financial whales are forced to sell assets. They're actually not like us ordinary mortals. Even in times of crises, their worth are increasing. Let's not be naïve. These rich elites are making money out of pandemics and wars and all kinds of disasters.
Maybe for one or a few person. Like you for example, fiat is like that because you know that it is inflationary but less knowledgeable individuals thinks that their fiat is growing once they save it. Not all shitcoin can pump but most will only dump so I don't think they are better than the fiats.

The pandemic turns out to be a great time for cryptos because they are pumping instead of dumping as what we expected. For other crises, they are the real ones who have a negative impact in the crypto market. People are as well affected including the rich people. Only those who are strategic are the ones who can earn during those times and they are not always rich people.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: July 10, 2023, 06:53:23 AM
It's doesn't matter if circulating supply is high or not even max supply is infinity like ETH, XRP and BNB as long as the project have a good fundamental and big ecosystem on their development it's not make me worry about it which is never invest on altcoin with don't have utility without clear prospect such meme coin. Safe investment your money in the right place and entry at the right time
Actually, it does matter because not every project can gain as much success as the ones you've mentioned, and we have seen what generally happens with tokens or coins that have very high supplies, look at the meme coins which have very high supplies and that is the reason why they struggle to gain significant value even if they get a lot of investments, they only manage to reach a few cents only because of their supplies which are infinite.

So generally, even if the project is good and has a good team and serves some purpose, it will have more chances of getting success and gaining a significant value over time if it has a limited supply just like Bitcoin because supply and demand do play a great role in this.
752  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Not Just Buy BTC? on: July 10, 2023, 04:19:08 AM
The strategy you are thinking of is not bad, in fact, in my opinion, it is a very good and simple plan to implement. Because basically, we as investors in bitcoin or investors in crypto, buy when the price is cheap/down and sell it at an expensive/increasing price. Basically it is like that. So if you buy bitcoin or USD and save it, it will be very potential and very good for your future. Especially to be more precise about storing bitcoin assets. because the potential for bitcoin in the future will be very large.

And it is true that according to the cycle that always occurs in bitcoin, next year there will indeed be a bitcoin halving, which usually occurs once every four years. With this halving, the price of bitcoin usually always experiences a fairly high increase. So buying bitcoins now and saving them for the upcoming halving is definitely a very good idea or strategy to implement.
but also usually with an increase in bitcoin it will be followed by an increase in altcoins, therefore we must be good at managing finances to get bigger profits. However, you have to be careful when choosing an altcoin to invest in, of course there are some decent altcoins to invest in, even though investing in bitcoin alone is a good choice. and of course shitcoin will move wildly, but we have to be more observant in analyzing and observant in managing finances, because it has a very big risk
Not usually but altcoins go up every time when Bitcoin's price goes up, it has always been that way and I don't think that will change even in the future, so when trading altcoins, one should keep in mind that they are not independent and they will only grow if Bitcoin grows, or they will drop if Bitcoin drops. And it is obviously the very first thing to do proper research and analysis before choosing to invest in any altcoin out there because not all of them are worth it.

A good trader will never get greedy and invest in coins or tokens that go up and down wildly only to get more profits because with more rewards comes greater risks, so when you are investing in an altcoin only for the quick profits, you might end up losing your capital in that investment.
753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A opinion on regrets on: July 09, 2023, 06:58:16 PM
Why do many people end up regretting when they don't get into coinmeme? The answer is because they see many people taking advantage of the rapid increase when coinmeme becomes a hype. I am very sure and will say that they will be grateful that they did not enter when they saw the coinmeme that ultimately failed.
Indeed, humans are like that, and I do not deny that sometimes I also feel that way, and that is normal. What should not be done is when we regret we actually do something that should not be done, such as for example when we see them profitable we also do not want to be left behind which we often refer to as FOMO.
You're right, that's how human nature is, we regret when we do something but we also regret if we don't do something sometimes, like if we make an investment and it fails, we regret doing it, but sometimes when we leave an opportunity and it makes other successful, we regret again for not taking the chance. That's how we are and that is how we will always be, some things cannot change and as long as human beings exist, these things will stay with them.

The FOMO part you mentioned is actually a great example, people who get late for getting into something specifically a cryptocurrency investment, and when they see the price going up rapidly, they try and get in very quickly but by the time they enter, the price already has touched the sky and is about to come down again.
754  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall or rise? $30400 the recent price on: July 09, 2023, 06:11:50 PM
Guess its doing alright and there is nothing we could lose at this point if we end up trusting bitcoin. Not that it would make a scene like be over 40k and all, but we gonna stay above 30k if you ask me. There is no way that wr gonna drop at this period. I believe we should definitely be hopeful about the current situation and we cant be losing hope if we want to grow. The price looks as good as it gets at this moment we are all looking like we are doing fine. So we should be having anything thats a negative thought and crus that if we want to. That way we can feel a lot better. Too many people fudding due to price going higher and fear it will crash again, but it will end up going higher for sure.
We can't really be so certain about that, and people barely FUD when the price is going up but they become happy and start buying more, people FUD when the price starts dropping after going up a little bit like what happened just recently where Bitcoin went up to $31.5k and then dropped back to $30.2k later on, such movements are what usually cause FUD in the market, and when there is FUD and panic all around, the price can take no time in dropping.

So even though it hasn't been going below $30k for quite some time, we can't really be sure if it will keep going up from here because it hasn't been showing any signs of that too, the resistance is strong and there isn't too much buying pressure from retail or institutional investors at the moment.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 08, 2023, 05:44:03 PM
Afghanistan are taking revenge of there test loss in ODI series. They won first ODI and surely they will win second ODI also. Afghanistan had a 256 runs partnership between openers but rest of batting wasn't able to capitalise on that. Afghanistan gave a target of 331, they must have given a target of over 350 runs. This is something Afghanistan need to improve. From Bangladesh point of views its not a good sign as ODI world cup is just ahead.
But, I have completely different opinion about Afghanistan, they are not playing for the revenge because they can't blame Bangladesh for this defeat in test with their mostly senior players were not interested to play test match, and they withdraw from this which have negative impact on their performance, and they lost this match badly mostly Afghani players are love to play in white-ball format, so they are giving their best in this format as we have in this series against Bangladesh.

As we have early 35 overs in today match I was expecting 390 to 400 from them but after having big partnership they have collapse and lost quick wickets which hurt their cause for having this target but still they have done good job and won this match by big margin.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security and Privacy in the Crypto Market on: July 08, 2023, 04:08:10 PM
Yes. Indeed, the crypto market has experienced rapid growth, but serious challenges regarding security and user privacy have also emerged. Key challenges include digital security, platform security, fraud, phishing and regulation. To overcome this challenge, the crypto industry can implement measures such as the use of multisignature security, data encryption, cooperation with security service providers, user education, and cooperation with governments for clear regulations. Protecting user security and privacy in the crypto market is a constant endeavor, and with these measures, the crypto industry can continuously improve the security and privacy of their users.
How will the users have any privacy if the cryptocurrencies and projects start cooperating with governments and authorities and have clear regulations? When there are regulations, there can be no privacy at all for users since governments and authorities will have access to all their personal data and documents and their financial activities as well, if we talk about privacy from other users, that can be done by using different privacy metrics.

In my personal opinion, the security of a person involved in cryptocurrencies is basically in their own hands, if they know when and where they need to keep their assets and how secure different platforms and wallets are, they can easily safeguard their assets without any issues if they are using centralized platforms, they should use all the necessary security measures to have complete protection.
757  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: July 08, 2023, 12:51:32 PM
If btc is legally accepted in all countries then huge number of investors will increase. and the use of btc in various fields will increase.

what is your opinion about this?
My opinion is that you are clueless on the subject. Bitcoin will reach $100K with a very high probability within 2 years at most, and for that the legal status of bitcoin does not need to change.

It is already widely accepted in most countries but as an asset, not as a currency. As it is so short what you say, I do not know if you mean that the rest accept it as a currency, such as El Salvador.

But the fact is that it will reach that figure even if there are no changes in legislation.
Being accepted in most countries doesn't mean that it must be used by the citizens, it simply means that it should be accepted and legalized by the governments which is not the case at all, we know that Bitcoin right now is widely adopted by users from all around the globe but you can barely find countries which have legally accepted Bitcoin for their citizens and allow them to use it without any issues at all, they might tax their sales and purchases but that's a different thing.

So, Bitcoin is already widely accepted in most countries only by the people and not the countries or authorities, and you are right that currently, Bitcoin is mainly used as an investment asset and not as a currency or a payment method because it's volatile and people see this as an opportunity to earn money.
758  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Not Just Buy BTC? on: July 06, 2023, 05:18:29 PM
I've seen over one dozen websites believing that BTC will skyrocket in the upcoming years.
The platform I use is Coinbase.
I'm thinking of just buying BTC-USD and just leaving it be.
Any thoughts on this strategy?
You are thinking of doing a good thing, one suggestion from he would be that make sure you do DCA (Dollar Cost Average) which means that you buy in portions and not all at once, for example, you have $2k as your capital, you buy $100 worth of Bitcoin today, and then you wait until the price drops a bit more and then you do the same thing again, and you continue doing that for every single interval of Bitcoin's price drops until it reaches the bottom or you invest everything.

This way, you will have a good buying price and you won't miss any spot even if the price starts going up after some point. Also, make sure that you keep your Bitcoins somewhere out of the exchange you are using for the purchases if you are planning to hold them for long so that they stay safe.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we just invest in any altcoin? on: July 06, 2023, 01:16:40 PM
Why you will investment any altcoin due to make profit during bull season?? Why should you need to pick up any just launched new altcoin when you have better option to pick up good coin? Thus you can also enjoy bull session as those will also pump. As you already mentioned, coins that can't manage their standard, will get delisted?  Then try to pick up those coins what will afford to manage their standard in future
And how do you determine if a project is good or not? What are the things one should consider before going in? It's a very difficult skill to master, to be honest. People might think it's easy to identify good projects and make investments with them, but it's actually not, because sometimes even the projects that look 100% legit, turn out to be scams later on, so you never really know unless you have a lot of experience in the industry.

So it's basically not a good thing for someone who is relatively new in the industry to go out hunting for good projects, one might be able to identify one or two if they do a lot of research and analysis, but to have the eye of an eagle in this market, having knowledge and experience is very much important.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting bitcoin besides the profit making idea. on: July 06, 2023, 10:08:44 AM
Yeah, I think we shouldn't be promoting bitcoin as a "profit" making scheme, rather a currency that can be used globally without any third party being involved. But sadly most people associate bitcoin as an "asset" that they can invest in to make profit in the future. This destroys the whole purpose of bitcoin being a decentralized currency that will make people less dependent on centralized financial institution where individual people has no say in making any decisions, nor any freedom on how to use their money. But we can't blame people for using it as a long term investment opportunity due to some drawbacks that make bitcoin sometimes unusable as a day to day currency.
Well, it's not really in our hands anymore to promote Bitcoin being an investment asset or not because the whole world can see how significant the price of Bitcoin has become since its inception, the reason why Bitcoin got this much popular is probably the value it has managed to gain over these years because humans want money and money was what Bitcoin was providing to its investors, as other people saw that happening, everyone started pouring in.

So, now the whole world sees Bitcoin more as an investment asset rather than a currency that can be used to make payments or store wealth, and since it provides profits over time, people are willing to invest money in large quantities to get benefited from these profits and that is how it's going for now.
