Look at the bright size, you tx is still in the mempool  Grin

Well, the bright side is at this hour that my transaction has been confirmed, so it is doubly confirmed that those who paid 500 sats/vByte are fools with a lot of money.

Maybe they just need to be educated  Cheesy

Is it possible that it is a mistake due to the specific wallet?
It happens to me that the Trezor suite as a recommended fee sometimes offers unrealistic, at that moment it is 4-5 times higher fee than what is currently active. If I wasn't careful, I could easily send a much more expensive transaction than necessary.
It mostly happens when the application has been open for a long time.

764  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CEX.IO does't let me to use my wallet on: February 03, 2024, 06:04:41 PM
If you have gone 7 years without using the account, they may have closed or disabled the account. Some sites will completely close an account if it hasn't been accessed or used in over 1 year. Maybe examplens will get a reply or a rep to come here and give some answers. Good luck.

I don't think they closed his account, regardless of inactivity, especially if he had funds there.

By any chance, is this exchange related to CCEX which is one of the popular exchanges before around 2014 to 2015?

They have nothing in common except the similarity in name. Otherwise, C-CEX ended up with a scam mark.
765  Other / Archival / Re: [Exchange Service] - No KYC/No AML/No Registration - BTC,XMR,USDT,CASH on: February 03, 2024, 05:47:40 PM
I just have to ask do you have any connection with eXch exchange?
You are using almost identical design like they have, Terms of Service page is very similar, and all supported coins menus are the same.
Someone should investigate this deeper, but I would suggest caution to everyone with this service.

The code on the site is almost identical, with very minor changes and functions such as the calculator have been removed. Even the class names are the same.
Maybe the owner has nothing to do with exch, but the developer copied the code from exch. Two different people can't write identical code with identical syntax. I leave the possibility that there may be a complete code somewhere for free download, legally.

766  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CEX.IO does't let me to use my wallet on: February 03, 2024, 04:41:23 PM
cex.io is one of the older exchanges, which are still operational. I've used them before, and I can't say that I had major problems working with them.
I don't know exactly when your account was, but in the meantime, mandatory KYC was introduced, so there is a possibility that this is the issue. Your inactivity is certainly one of the reasons why they are asking for an additional check. They want to make sure that you are the original owner of the account.

They are quite present on social platforms, as well as here. As far as I can see last time 1st February this year.
You should mention or contact them on their official account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148073
Or Twitter: https://twitter.com/cex_io

I will send them a notice on Twitter about this thread

767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US wants to know bitcoin electricity usage in the country on: February 02, 2024, 05:53:43 PM
Let us hope these people are not trying to come up with something.

I will give you the answer here as well as elsewhere  Wink
The US lacked some energy because of the cold days, so it is somehow easiest to look at Bitcoin as the culprit. Bitcoin is a consumer of electricity, but certainly not as it is presented. Cointelegraph could do some research

770  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: VEIO.IO - SCAM on: February 02, 2024, 12:43:24 PM
When users click on this URL, they are redirected to "sinbadmixer.net", which is another fraudulent website posing as a bitcoin mixer. To make matters worse, this cloned website is pretending to be the legitimate service "Sinbad".

Sinbad mixer is no longer legitimate, nor does it exist. The service is closed and the domain is seized by authorities.

Quote
Based on my investigations, I strongly suspect that the individual behind this elaborate scam is from Russia.

I think that this information is not crucial, because no matter where they come from, scammers are still scammers.

Quote
It is truly shocking to think that this fraudster has been able to continue scamming people around the world for over 5 years.
It's crucial that people remain vigilant and cautious when encountering such websites, ensuring their safety and protecting their crypto assets.

Somehow they persist, even in the face of many proven scams. The authorities prefer to deal with the control of registered businesses rather than those operating under the radar.
I saw in the footer on this page ads from hosting provider ispmanager.com, if the site is hosted by them, maybe you should contact them and warn them about the nature of this user.
771  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: February 01, 2024, 10:50:22 PM
Do you still believe their word? Sorsis came back after 4 and a half months of silence after Betnomi's downtime, then he created this refund thread with a 30 days validity. But two and a half months have been passed since they created this thread. Now they are working to launch their new project instead of making the refund. Maybe they have planned to collect funds through the presale of tokens or NFT of their new platform. And they might refund a small number of the victims with the presale funds in order to gain the trust for their new scam project.

You forgot to say that he appeared at some point and put on his distrust list all those members who gave him negative feedback, a naive attempt to remove the red marks on the profile. I'm sure this was all a manoeuvre to remove red flags from the Betnomi name because Sorsis is directly connected with him.
Now I am interested in whether he will come up with a new project here on the forum.

btw. Does anyone believe his story that the partner did the damage, and left with the servers and data...
772  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Crypto scams and company registration on: February 01, 2024, 10:33:18 PM
it's nothing new and it's been like this for many years...
just look at how many HYIPs have registered as LLCs in the UK and you realize that it's something well known.

Absurdly, a HYIP that doesn't even have this fake certification is just a low-level scam Wink and even "profit maker" or "hyip monitor" are not listen these fake sites.

Many do not even have their own registered LLC but show data of any random one chosen from the register. Most of them are very easy to recognize because the company headquarters are registered, in ordinary residential houses addresses.
I hope you do not believe in the existence of any legitimate HYIP versions, regardless of what the monitors say. Of course, they will be very happy to pay a percentage to anyone who brings them a new victim.
773  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Mixer? on: February 01, 2024, 07:58:19 PM
I think I read somewhere that you can mention the name of the mixer, but you cannot include a link, just mention the name.
That might work sometimes, other times it won't. Theymos has applied word filters to known associations with mixing services. But I don't know if those filters apply only to URLs or any mention of such mixers and similar combinations. Anyways, if you mentioned a banned word, the forum's settings will change it to show "banned service" or something along those lines.

I think that theymos' idea is to exclude any advertising or recommendation of a mixer and it doesn't need to be a link. The rule, like any rule, must have loopholes that someone will try to exploit. For example, this post, in my opinion, is not in line with the mixer-ban rule, but it is still there and I see it as a kind of promotion without the link or even writing the full domain name. maybe no one reported it

I would also advise you to do away with the thought of mixers here as it has already been  banned my the administrator of the platform earlier mentioned members here.

Yes, promotion of mixers isn't allowed anymore but that doesn't mean we can't still discuss about them. We can even mention their names, but not their URL addresses.

In that case allow me to report that I have used Anonymixer and Whir successfully. I preferred Whir due to lower costs (a straight 1% across the board and cleaner, easier to use format}. I of course sent smaller amounts through before I trusted them with larger amounts.

It is important to use mempool.space to know when miners fees are lower.

774  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] eXch.cx - Automatic Exchange | Sig Campaign | Up to $120/W on: February 01, 2024, 01:07:16 PM
At least the representative on X / Twitter has posted something last Sunday (don't know if this was before or after the communication about the campaign stopped). I also still hope the situation could normalize, even if the campaign ends it would be nice to hear that there's everything ok with the exchange, as I really like to use it.

We can only guess, and that often leads to wrong conclusions.
As far as I can see in the exch ANN thread, some of the members have confirmed successful exchanges on their platform these days, so it seems (at least to me) that there are no operational problems here. Pausing a signature campaign is certainly not it.
775  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit refuse to send me back my deposits on: February 01, 2024, 12:29:45 PM
OP, I am truly sorry for your loss, Most likely, you can forget about this money because it is a proven scam casino. Unfortunately, we do not have any power or possibility here to put pressure on them and help you with the payment.
I have to ask you though, how did you get here only after being scammed by 1xbit? Why didn't you do at least a short research before making any decision about playing at this casino?
Look at the reputation of their official account on this forum, is it someone you can trust https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2835882

We do not have fake reviews. We do not influence customer reviews in any way. We do not collect information about users, we do not have CUS...

considering that you are confirmed to be lying about some banal things, how accurate are your claims? You also did not answer why you work through two domains.

Barry24 answered, which was actually a lie

Hello, thank you for your questions and comments, we will try to answer each of them in order:
1. ex7.io site is based on our solutions, we are developing as a business and this is our first site, which we are fully customizing for our partners. At the moment, not all the work has been completed, but the site is already up and running and exchanges can be made on it.
2. That's why there are still some minor defects on the ex7.io site, but they do not affect the work of the exchanger.
3. our policy was removed so as not to mislead users, because we also have exchanges for which there is no AML&KYC verification.
In general, we think now everything is clear and you have no questions to us. But if you still have questions, please write.
4. We have only one account on Bitcointalk and a topic that we have been running for a long period of time.
We thank you for your questions and comments. We hope we have answered your questions.

For example, both sites have identical reserve amounts
Bitcoin BEP20 Anonymous BTC: 0.011253
MoneyGo USD: 11633.44
MoneyGo EUR: 9304.94
NixMoney USD: 1170.07

777  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Mixer? on: February 01, 2024, 10:07:05 AM
Why would answers to questions like what are good mixers depend on whether people are advertising them in their signatures or not?

I didn't mention signatures, but promotion in general. OP asked, "I was just wondering if there is a bitcoin mixer that is considered reliable and safe to use?"

So, the answer following the rules of the forum would be something like: I suggest [banned service] because of the low fees and they've been pretty reliable so far, at least based on personal experience. But also [banned service] or for example [banned service] have a good reputation and provide good support.

But, can altcoinstalks to be used as one of trusted source to judge the trustworthiness of a project? not every users will agree.

It seems that everything is at the beginning there. I hope that the critical number of users who will have enough strength to give a real evaluation of a service can be gathered. For now, we're a long way from that.
778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cheap & silent mini PC for Bitcoin node & blockchain explorer? on: February 01, 2024, 12:30:50 AM
I'm looking for:

Low power consumption.
Small is better, since I'll probably be stashing it out of sight.
Headless.
Silent.
SSD, not HD.  I'll probably use an external SSD for the node storage.
What else do I need?

All tiny PCs have these characteristics, they are small and quiet. I would follow up on a philipma, at least an i5 of the sixth generation (if the budget allows, look at younger ones as well). And considering that the computer will work 24/7, power consumption is worth paying attention to.

so get an i5 or i7 at least sixth gen. cpu  16gb ram and a 1tb ssd

Isn't it better to have one SSD for OS and another for data? For example 128GB + 1TB

note: Be sure not to share your private key publicly.
780  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Testnet faucet abuser with 4 accounts on: January 31, 2024, 04:51:58 PM
But this only mitigates the problem, as opposed to solving it... From what I'm seeing, everybody who posts on your thread is automatically given a certain amount of testnet coins, so all you need to do is remove the automated part from the equation and manually check everything.
Manually checking everything can take me days. Even new users can use my testnet faucet for small amounts. They get it quickly.
To drain it again, they need hundreds of accounts and if I get too many withdrawals, amounts get decimated.

I would also add a rule, only forum accounts older than six months, for example. Or if an older member vouchs for someone. It was said earlier, that there is not much point in tagging these accounts, because they were created with only one purpose and will probably never be used again.
Unfortunately, every good idea or initiative becomes an opposition to itself and a target for abuse.
