So what's the sentiment at the moment?  I am a bit confused what's been going on.

Are we all ok?

Mostly sideways for a while? I'm not feeling bullish or bearish.
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: January 24, 2017, 10:10:54 PM

I can second that comment. Thanks for your hard work.
763  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 24, 2017, 03:20:27 PM
The next 2 days are critical. If there will be a successful pump, eventually leading to about 1050$ - 1100$, then this will be a EW one, and after months of sideways we'll see 2000$ or more.
If however the pump will fail, then we'll see a major correction, down to about 600$ and the possibility of a new bear market.

quoting because i doubt either of these scenarios.

my hunch is a smaller dump back into high 800s.

quoted, because i think u are wrong.. my guess is a pump to the high 56,000s after the surprise hard fork .

Sorry Aztec but what do you mean by this? A surprise fork? 56,000 what exactly?
764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 22, 2017, 09:30:53 PM
i do expect that the price of bitcoin will trade betweem $850 and $950 for some time,

I don't think so. Too many people want to have at least one bitcoin.

true, and not even every millionaire (denominated in $) could have one. there are more millionaires existing than bitcoin.

This is a great fact.

Am I right in saying his data has been correct regarding bitcoin quite a few times? (Not all the time obviously)

I have recently seen a video regarding web bot predictions of bitcoin and silver and it states he has been right in the past with very odd predictions and it's been right, especially in the 400s and 800s.

Because of him I bought when it was 200$ ... Just because I'm a doom & gloom guy and I really don't like banks! Cheesy Cheesy

Similar price I paid for the majority of my coins. I was between 200-300. Not bad.

8 ... 8 ... 8 ... Them Chinese voodoo believers... Cheesy Cheesy

Is the second pic the web bot guy? What is everyone's view on web bot. Reading about bitcoin over this year and next from web bot sounds incredible. I can only hope it happens.

Yep... Cliff High..  Tongue

My view is that he is bullish on BTCiTcoin!  But, regarding the web bot, as the guy in the picture said: "it is better than chance". And I tend to believe the same, it is better than chance.

And even if Cliff owns a few coins and maybe gives too much attention to it sometimes. Regarding to his interests of rising awareness and motivating people to buy and rise his own price through his "propaganda" or better said free advertising of bitcoin. I don't mind that at all. We could use more people spreading the word of our ruthless Lord and Savior BTCiTcoin!

768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bubble 3.0 on: January 18, 2017, 08:49:47 AM
It's more like:

1. Rally to $266
2. Rally to $1300
3. Rally to $35000

I agree that there will be another bubble coming but i wonder where you get our math in here?  That $35,000  as much  as I wanted to see it is a wishful thinking saying that price this early.  So tell me how did you calculate it or you just put some random numbers in there?  Probably the second one.  Wink
I am not sure too how he calculated it, maybe just because of mere speculations. If it does realy $35,000, then that is a sight to behold. A bitcoin can buy you a nice house or a low end sports car by then. Heck, if I just held my bitcoins back in 2015, I would be a millionaire by that time. Oh well.

Hodl and hodl well. My target and dream is to be able to buy a house or more with my bitcoins. I will hodl until this is possible!

Good morning everyone. Morning here anyway.

What is the prediction for today? Dropping back to the mid 800s or settling nicely in to the early/ mid 900s.
770  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 17, 2017, 07:03:53 PM
I'd like to ask the experienced guys here why the ATH is being mentioned after a reasonable increase today? Haven't we seen this over and over again and then we get battered.

What is different this time? Is it just because of the Chinese leverage ban?

771  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 17, 2017, 06:53:40 PM
4 digits looks so much prettier. I am looking forward to that. 3 digits is ugly.

And soon 4 digits will look ugly and 5 digits will look prettier Wink

That happens and I am rich so I'll believe it when I see it. Until then 4 digits will be a nice sight my friend

It's $1100CAD.

 Cheesy

Be nice if it was £1100

Deutsche Bank Joins Venture to Offer Blockchain Products

A choice quote:

"Some banks are already using blockchain technology to conduct security trades with utility settlement coins, a digital currency, instead of traditional bank transfers. By going digital with blockchain, banks don’t have to keep as much capital and liquidity on hand for financial transactions."

Are you basically saying it's only a matter of time before bitcoin is used OR do you think they are using it (trialing it) instead of "utility settlement coins"

Both.

1. Fairly quickly, they will discover that bank-created "utility settlement coins" are fairly useless. Unless this is just a cover story, a lie to deceive the public.

- but -

2. I suspect that secretly, they are really building the infrastructure for Bitcoin long term, and may even be testing it. Some day they will have no choice but to plug into the Bitcoin blockchain.

So both hilarious (short term) and bullish (long term)

I'm just a simple hodler and not up to scratch technically compared to you guys (but better than normal folk) but how do so called settlement coins work for banks? What's the incentive exactly with these coins? How does it all work?

I can't figure out how they can create their own coin and hey presto all working well.

good writeup!

from article:

So we should continue the already- strong uptrend from back before the excitement and dump, after the market has fully digested the turmoil.

I think I heard that before Grin Ah, here:

Feel free to use my language for your articles, no objections at all. Wink

That is some serious detective skills!!

Slow upwards grind until ETF decision. Then... Cool

Nope, we will have some volatility on the 17th and 18th because of the the PBOC and OKCoin and then possible upward fast grinding on the 20th because of the Inauguration of the POTUS.

when is the next final ETF decision ?

March 11.

Will they continue kicking the can down the road so to speak or could they even say NO.

I do feel that they will leave it to the auto-approve as I said here before.

If approved, when would it be up and running and would it make any difference at all??

Where we at today on the weekly (i believe)

Like finex never happened

Like PBOC never happened

First target $900

re-evaluate at $900

Think it could go higher than $900

This is interesting and makes sense. Basically back to where we should be before the excitement and dump. Business as usual.
