The clark moody is working for me right now. BTCCharts wont update and mtgoxlive is out of date.
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rocket is secretly taking off. $8 price target within 18 hours on: January 08, 2012, 07:56:10 PM
Maybe not cancelled but probably delayed until monday evening. I think 6.90 would be the point i would call the rally delayed.
763  Economy / Speculation / Re: This rally might be real on: January 08, 2012, 07:48:44 PM
It all depends on how much of a movement this drop causes bitcoinica to affect the market. It affects the markets more than many think because then the trading bots outside of bitcoinica can signal this as a rally or crash executing large orders. It really is fascinating to watch for this reason but makes me nervous every time we see a rapid drop.
764  Economy / Speculation / Re: This rally might be real on: January 08, 2012, 07:43:49 PM
Id say it looks like we are about to head down around 6.80 or so. Either that or take off but too much resistance built up just below 7.20 for me to think thats going to happen.
765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Triangle breakout on: January 08, 2012, 07:39:05 AM
If you do the same analysis on a chart right now I believe it will show another triangle. Are we about to go up to $8 in the next couple of hours?
766  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some serious resistance around $7.20 on: January 08, 2012, 07:38:19 AM
As one of the other threads pointed out which im about to post on next it looks like we have another triangle forming. This is like the one before the last jump to 7.20 so i think we are going to break it for sure.

Everyone, there is a reason ineedausername said rocket is "secretly" taking off. Noone knows when the manipulator will push the start booster button because it's a secret.  Grin

Hi Manipulator.

I'm gonna need you to come in on Saturday?

We need to get a rally going.... yeahhhh...

Yeah, if you could do that, that would be greeeaaat.

I work at Intertrode in real life!

Please don't take my stapler...

Did you get the memo on the TPS Reports?

I get regular memos on reports and have to watch to make sure no one takes my stapler. Its a swingline and i like the action! For real though and there are about 4 supervisors per worker so i say its just like intertrode all the time.

.2 's     = tipping point ?

We blasted through 7.2 on the initial rally up to 7.50. I dont subscribe to this theory.

I think if we push past bubble 1.0 levels bitcoin will take on a whole new level of confidence. I am interested to see where we go from here but am hoping for $8 in the next 12 hours. We seem to be headed back up right now it would seem.
771  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rocket is secretly taking off. $8 price target within 18 hours on: January 08, 2012, 04:18:35 AM
It must have been a russian rocket. That being said I hope it keeps going up damnit!
772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Triangle breakout on: January 08, 2012, 03:06:04 AM
It appears you were right about the breakout... the question now is will these prices sustain, go back down or up. Im hoping up.
773  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BUY 5970S WITH BITCOINS (Newegg Giftcards for Bitcoins) on: January 07, 2012, 06:49:04 AM
wSo it sounds like there's a problem with the site and he still hasnt fixed it. I know a place i can ship stuff to in the states for me from american stores but the duty could be brutal since I want to eventually use my coins to crossfire my 6950. This is mildly disappointing but Im sure I will find some way to make this happen.
774  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BUY 5970S WITH BITCOINS (Newegg Giftcards for Bitcoins) on: January 07, 2012, 06:15:25 AM
Thanks its a much cleaner layout too

[Edit]

Spoke too soon, it only shows USD. Does anyone know if newegg.ca accepts USD gift cards and if so at what rate?
775  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BUY 5970S WITH BITCOINS (Newegg Giftcards for Bitcoins) on: January 07, 2012, 05:54:40 AM
Ill repeat the question asked by the other member that was never answered; has anyone actually bought from this site before to confirm it is legit?

Secondly I'll ask another question as the only currency available is USD and i would like to buy a card for newegg.ca is the USD value actually Canadian? From the number of posts jjjrmy has and the low number of posts in this thread it would appear this project was abandoned. Its too bad because I really think this would have been more popular.

I would also try btcbuy.info but they do not offer newegg.ca giftcards.

whats the difference?
777  Economy / Speculation / Re: Enjoying the Rollercoaster Ride in BTC Price? on: January 06, 2012, 11:50:53 PM
Am wondering if its the unstable ones that will get us back down to $1

FPGA mining variable cost is $0.35

We're doomed...

Does the variable cost include a ROI calculation and if so what is the period and price assumed? Given their higher purchasing price per MH I find this cost to be somewhat questionable.
778  Economy / Speculation / My Theory on the Rise in Bitcoin Prices Since Christmas on: December 31, 2011, 05:43:50 AM
I believe it is primarily due to the halved fees at MTGox which I think are just great for increasing my BTC holdings. Speaking of which does anyone know when they officially come to an end? I think we will see something big happen right before this promotion expires.
779  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [409 GH] ABCPool.co 0% fee PPS - join now & get the best payouts out there! on: December 30, 2011, 04:18:53 AM
Seriously guys, have you considered advertising in order to reduce the need for fees? I have never seen an ad on the site and im sure more than a few miners like to come see their stats regularly which could add up to big money real fast. If there is a 0% fee PPS pool with ads vs a fee pool without i would definitely take the one with the ads.

I am quite happy as of late with the stability of the pool though so I probably wont leave because of the mandatory fees.
780  Economy / Speculation / Re: Command line interface for Mount Gox on: December 30, 2011, 12:45:50 AM
It would be nice if there were a secure gui trading platform that integrates charts and has input for bot/strategy commands. Of course for security it would have to be something downloadable and lockable to secure your account information. It would have to poll directly with whichever bitcoin market you are using.

Some ideas would be quick buy/sell buttons for rapid market movements. Pre-set trading amounts for the rapid buy/sell buttons. Another good feature would be a button to stop all trading activities and temporarily disable all active trades. You would want a tab where all your buy/sell orders would be listed and also include a depth to execution indicator. The best trading platform would essentially combine mtgox with something like clark moody but on your PC.

This would be a good coding challenge for someone in the BTC community. I would be willing to sacrifice a BTC or two for a finished trading platform such as this.
