I don’t care what and where they spend. I register at a casino and want to easily withdraw my funds and play, as easily as they accept deposits. There are a lot of casinos that check your ID within 5 minutes.

5 minutes? for real?
I've seen address checks in 1 minute (like KYC level 1) but ID checks in 5 minutes are new for me.
do you care to share an example of which ones, here or inbox, as you wish

They asked me for kyc. Can someone tell me how long they check for?

hi everyone, I still haven't received my funds

have you opened a ticket with them directly on their website?
it's usually better than commenting here
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: September 26, 2023, 01:17:24 PM
What is wrong with co-hosting such world events? I am not much experienced with football, but ice hockey experience was great. Not a single nation got a free qualification spot in tournament, because they co-host an event. For fans, I see only benefits from such system. For countries - tourists are always a plus into budget. Hosting or co-hosting was always a matter of money. Tournaments are not co-hosted because some have better or worse stadium, or low number of stadiums for example. This happens because countries make huge payments to FIFA imo, in a matter of trading hosting spots.

Once again, there is nothing wrong with co-hosting. My problem is not with co-hosting as such, but with providing automatic entry to the teams that co-host the tournament. IMO, automatic entry should be given only to two teams - defending champions and one team from the hosts. If there are multiple hosts, then the weaker teams should be asked to participate in the qualifier tournament. I understand the budget concerns. In some cases, a country may not have enough quality stadiums and all. But that is an entirely different topic from giving automatic entry.

Imagine the following: you have your house and your friend has his house, so you tell your friend that you are going to his house to play video games, when you arrive at your friend's house you don't find your friend who is the owner of the house. home, but you meet other people who you have arranged with them to go play too, so I believe it will be a very strange situation. the same thing happens in soccer, when a country organizes the world cup they don't earn a lot of money in terms of profits, I don't even know if it really makes a profit, but the point is that the people of that country will be able to be happy to see their team national team to play in the world cup, even if they know that their national team won't get far

the politicians and the government of that country that organizes the world cup will have reason to justify the citizen's tax money as it was spent on the cup, argument of the government and politicians and that with that organization of the cup the national team managed to make history by reaching the cup , and people would not like to see the government spending money to organize a world cup in which their national team will not participate, I think that FIFA is right on that part.

all countries that ceded the world cup must have automatic passage for their main team, this is also a great incentive for many countries to want to organize the world cup, if one day they change this rule, then many countries will lose motivation to want to cede the world Cup

there's even more
what is one of the most common ways for corrupt politicians to make some bank?
with lobby, receiving payments for approving proposals, also a lot of corruptions in overpricing construction works.

Take Brazil as an example, the 2 mega-events (soccer world cup and the olympics) ended up making more bad than good for the country because all this money could be invested in better structure and education instead of stadiums and all.

many will say that we create our reality, I like the idea too that when your mind open up for a new idea it never gets back to the original size again (was it Einstein?)

now, how sure are you that attention creates thoughts? maybe there's a stream of thoughts that could happen regardless of your attention but you can uses your attention to keep them or leave them...
what do you think?

I don't know if there is a clear answer to this in the literature, but at least to me, it seems like it's a bit of both.

On one hand we just get random thoughts all the time, but on the other hand, things that you have paid attention to in the past tend to appear in your thoughts as well.

I'm sure advertisers would know the answer to this, because they pay a lot of money to be in the minds of the people.

not sure if there's consensus regarding this topics but it's a really interesting one, I'd say it's the most interesting topic I've ever talked about here on the gambling boards of bitcointalk.

I think it's a two way road too with our attention influencing our thoughts but random things happening as well and we "deciding" to stick with them or let them go.
attention is powerful, for sure.

It sounds like philosophy applied to gambling and the way we human beings behave under certain circumstances.
Honestly, I have not researched about gambling in a context of human development, because it is easier to find information on the superficial part of it, the commercial portion, the strategies and News which are in the mainstream.

If you asked me, I would say gambling is an activity which is full of relativeness, from the amount of money one can lose, to the way other perceive our status (according to the money wagered).

Though, if we talk about addiction, it would be better to stay within the psychological literature, where the most useful approaches are supposed to be.

yes, this is a really interesting subject
would love to read more on gambling history too (when did it start, what were the first games, where it was more common)
I could be wrong but seems like we've been gambling pretty much forever, since there was money there were people wanting to make easy money by luck.

interesting way to learn more about greed and human nature too

oh, that's interesting
didn't know about the go AIs, heard about it but just really little in the past

what we are seeing in art with AI is really cool too, many breakthroughs happening
we're hitting acceleration point now.

Yes, I think we are starting to enter the phase where human minds and AI minds work together to create new things.

This will be an inflection point in history, similar to how the Internet changed everything.

Not sure if I would call this phase of the technological era to be an inflection point, because even though we can be pretty much amazed about what it was been reached with Artificial intelligence, there is still a long path forward before developers and even politicians who need to regulate the ethical questions behind AI.

Rather than being a tool for people to be more productive, I am afraid big companies will seek to replace much of their personnel by robots or machines powered with AI, in the case of casinos, they could try to replace costumer service with Artificial Intelligence in the Future, not for now though, since managing accounts where money is deposited requires human common sense.

I don't really think we'll have the time for regulators to adapt
we can see it with crypto, many are creating laws about things they don't even understand and the few who do are stuck in a system that is too slow to adapt.

Regarding replacing costumer service for AIs, you can fight that by creating an AI to contact costumer support for you as well.

Every knife cuts for the two sides in these cases.
785  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Como perder todo seu dinheiro (rápido) on: September 26, 2023, 12:41:02 PM

789  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: O dilema da auto-custódia on: September 25, 2023, 08:17:12 PM

793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: September 25, 2023, 03:23:44 PM
No one has managed to win from slots. That is why no bookie goes bankrupt among its players. If you gamble to gain profit and win then I think you are not having fun with gambling. I think of gambling as a game where you give money to them and don't expect it to be returned. Especially in slot games where the odds are very random and it could be that our account has been set up in such a way that we only have a small winning percentage, which means we will continue to lose money if we are really ambitious.

The bold part is completely wrong, there are many people who manage to win from slot. If there is no one win like what you say, there will be no one who is still playing slot till today. It applies if "win" here is when players is lucky enough to make some profit in their gambling session, not on their whole gambling journey. Saying that no one has managed to win from slots is exaggerated, have you played slot before? If you have, did you lose all spins you play?

yes!
what would be interesting to see is how often people win, how many times they play before winning for the first time, if they usually play only one day or many days in a row
this kind of thing

but you're right, probably some people win but only the minority.

795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: September 22, 2023, 02:09:38 PM
It truly all comes down to losing and how each gambler approaches the responsibilities of playing the game. Because if we simply ignore it, we will undoubtedly develop an addiction. Because of this, I frequently play slot games when I gamble.

Because playing slots is only a hobby for me, I don't take my losses seriously, which is why I frequently lose. However, I can't deny that the games here, especially the Moon Princes, genuinely amuse me because the skilled players always prevail. however not always. I also have control over the funds I use for gambling. It appears that my funds are primarily used for gambling.

The most important thing is to manage finances, as long as we are prepared to lose when gambling and can forget about the money spent on gambling, there is no problem. The danger is that when we lose at gambling and then become emotional and make multiple deposits then that is a sign of gambling addiction. The best way when you lose at gambling is to forget and do your usual activities, don't chase after your losses and hope for your money back, because the biggest possibility is that more money will be lost because emotions have taken over.

Playing with small money and small bets is the best way so that when luck runs out we don't spend a lot of money. Play to have fun, not stress because lose a lot of money

yes, this is the point
how do you usually manage your finances?
setting a fixed percentage of your total for each bet? limiting total deposits and limiting time?
curious to hear more on what you do
796  Local / Português (Portuguese) / O dilema da auto-custódia on: September 22, 2023, 01:49:30 PM

797  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 22, 2023, 01:15:19 PM
Haven't tried Mines since I am hooked on slots, though I tried to play tower and I seldom goes above level 3, lol. It looks like there is an imaginary barrier after level 3 in which whatever I pick is an empty cell. That, or I just suck on guessing games T_T.
You should give it a shot. I'm not big fan of Mines nor slots but I have tried it out since playing on roobet always lots of fun. On roobet I played crash a big time of my entire day! For me Crash is working quite simple, it consists of a continually expanding line going up and multiplying your bet. This things make me insane all of the time. Crash Rocket is love!

Crash is indeed a popular and thrilling game in the world of online gambling. The concept of watching the multiplier rise and deciding when to cash out can be very engaging, and it can keep players on the edge of their seats. it's a consistent dopamine hits. The longer you play, the more it multiply.

I think for most games the dopamine hit will determine how much people keep on playing or not
if it's really addictive, has intermittent rewards and is a bit unpredictable without being too hard it has some of the important ingredients to hook people
besides crash which other games do you think have it too?

It's clear you don't understand the platform, they have
- Rakeback
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Rank Up Reward

Freebie Friday it's random (being active is not taking as the part of decision). I receive freebie friday a long time ago, and they sent it to the user by random if you selected you got the email from them. The support screenshot you are share, there is no single word about promising you a reward. He just responded to you with a basic response about reward "(If they wish") and stated in the chat that currently there is no reward available for your account.

You are mad because the bonus ? you should realized gambling is not chasing the bonus right ? it's just like privilage and they can offering you as they like. If you don't like it, you can always choose other casino who give you a better offer.

I didn't know what a rakeback was so went to search, posting it here since other users may have the same question than I did, making it easier for them to understand

Quote
Rakeback is a term commonly used in the context of online poker and certain other online gambling games. It refers to a promotional incentive offered to players by poker rooms or casinos, where a portion of the fees or "rake" that a player pays to the house is returned to the player's account as a form of cashback.

how high are rakebacks on duelbits? usually really small like <1% or there are bigger ones?

yes, great point
if there's a person who doesn't want to be helped nobody will be able to help them in the end.

it's interesting to thing about these adaptative mechanisms that help us thrive in a challenging world (lol this could be a headline for some kind of animal planet doc)
sometimes I wonder what makes people change... insights? divine inspiration? changes in their neuro circuits or even neuro chemistry?

It's not clear if we have free will, but at least we have the illusion that we have it, so might as well live a life that takes advantage of that.

This might get a bit too crazy, but at a quantum level, reality doesn't really "exist" until you observe it. So, basically let's say an electron can be in many positions with different probabilities. The moment you observe it, it is exactly at one location. You can read about the double-slit experiment to have an idea of what I'm talking about: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-slit_experiment

So, in the same way, your attention creates your thoughts, which then are transformed into action in the real world. In a way, your attention defines your life, I think it's similar to the process of observing a particle, and therefore making it "real" from potential realities that it was before.

good points
many will say that we create our reality, I like the idea too that when your mind open up for a new idea it never gets back to the original size again (was it Einstein?)
