781  Economy / Economics / Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing? on: July 17, 2021, 08:20:52 AM
Depends on your goal and risk tolerance, if you have a long-term goal and a low risk tolerance, you might just try to invest and park that money for years and wait for it to go up and enjoy the profits, if you are on the short-term and high risk then trading might be a good thing for you.
782  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is helping out Cubans and Venezuelans on: July 17, 2021, 07:47:16 AM
Well am glad to hear this, reason why btc is a good substitute for fiat, in the case where fiat fail to meet all requirements of it's citizens btc will be a fine substitute to such country from their dying currency,  this must mean the Cubans must need a huge amount of their dying currency to buy btc otherwise how else will they be able to get hold of btc, Am just wondering  Embarrassed
I am glad that bitcoin became more than just a substitute to fiat because it's not just substitute for this people, it's a ladder for them to survive and prosper despite the inability of their government and fiat to help them survive.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: What's going on in China lately on: July 17, 2021, 05:54:40 AM
Nothing wrong with any of that because ports are subject to pandemic restrictions too so it's nothing to worry about plus your item will still arrive no matter although a bit delayed. They will get back to work immediately.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 16, 2021, 03:03:12 PM
Just as you have probably budgeted for all the other money in your life, you need to budget in the same way for casino gaming for any kind of entertainment. The wise idea of taking some time to sit and get out is how comfortable you can spend each week or month so that you don’t spend extra money or accidentally cut money which means spending it on something else. Remember that there is always a chance that you may lose money deposited in any online casino to play with so budget only for the amount you know you are comfortable losing.
I admire the people that can budget their money when it comes to gambling and stop altogether when the budget for the day or the week was already spent. I have a hard time doing that but it's not bad at all that I don't have a budget since I sometimes win something big and when I do, I immediately quit playing to enjoy my wins.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 16, 2021, 02:34:04 PM
I mean there's nothing wrong with any of those activities it's just that the industry like prostitution is unregulated meaning that STDs can be passed around much faster because it's unregulated but maybe if they copy what Las Vegas did with these things, they might be able to make a lot of money out of this things since there's a guarantee of patronage of this things.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's causing the decline this time? on: July 16, 2021, 01:44:39 PM
According to a report in the Communist Party-backed Global Times, the closure of many Bitcoin mines in the province has resulted in more than 90 percent of China's Bitcoin mining capacity being shut down.
About 65 percent of the world's Bitcoin mining took place in China in April 2020, according to estimates by the University of Cambridge. Additionally, Edward Moya, senior market analyst at Oanda Corp., said Bitcoin is being pressured by the sudden drop by the Titan token to almost zero.
“Bitcoin crash as Titan token crash increases regulator pressure to provide more protection for the public
This report seems outdated to me because this ban happened for about a month or so ago so I don't think that the effects are lingering to this day, there's probably more to just China FUD to the recent decline.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past two months bitcoin journey on: July 16, 2021, 01:12:15 PM
I am really not expecting prices to rise with great boom period shortly and don't have any worries at all.I have just decided to invest my funds for period of 6 months regularly without even waiting for price to go down or up and want to hold that investment for long period but if I will try to increase my DCA investment strategy for a longer period and completely give up on unhealthy foods and unnecessary items which only lies in my backyard. This will surely keep on going with btc investment because we are still not too late to this journey.
That's what I do too although I always try to make sure that I won't lose that much money during down times when I buy at a certain prices. Plus I am on the long-term so if I can, I try to choose to buy bitcoin if it's going down or the market for a week is on a red.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: July 16, 2021, 12:40:07 PM
We cannot help to notice that the awareness of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, in general, is different across zones and regions. In my country, the southern part is well more knowledgeable in crypto trading than the North, and not that crypto is not known up north but when we start looking at the percentage of people that know and are engaged in trading crypto. Most people north don't know what it is and even if they did know, are not willing to invest in something they can't physically hold, it is just their nature but one thing is clear that most of the people that are engaged in crypto right now up north are millennials and with time it will even be widespread.
Probably because it depends on how widespread technology or how knowledgeable are people with the current trends that is affecting the popularity of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in different regions, plus we don't really feel it because we are surrounded by people who are knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies.
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the quintessence of all human knowledge gathered together. on: July 16, 2021, 10:11:58 AM
So, what OP is basically saying is that bitcoin is the best that we can do? That's just pathetic if you think about it because that means we aren't going to do any greater feats besides bitcoin.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency bad for the environment? on: July 16, 2021, 09:41:41 AM
Here we go again with the BS being spread by anti-bitcoin crowd, no bitcoin isn't bad for the environment, in any aspect of bitcoin, almost everything is just a consumer of electricity and not a producer of electricity. What we have to worry much more are the producers of this pollutants rather than the consumer because in a same sense we are also to blame as individuals since we also consume electricity.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Better than "GOLD" for criminals, BTC is easier to steal; Easier to scam; on: July 16, 2021, 09:09:13 AM
~

COINBASE is OWNED by the IRS; They have already banned 'tainted' aka mixed coins; The FBI, NSA, and almost all Gov's on earth have now had +10 years to study and develop tech to track everything about bitcoin, especially given that +90% get in&out of BTC via the exchanges which like COINBASE have already setup 100% KYC.
Exactly what you are talking about? Your sentences and structure don't make sense to me even though I have read it two times which wasted my time.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is reconstructing the current law system of human society on: July 16, 2021, 08:33:04 AM
Well, that's just a BS right there. If the current people in power still has a control over a big group of the population, I don't think that it's going to change anything because bitcoin is a decentralized thing and it can be manipulated by malicious forces and the public doesn't have the right skills to criticize the society that they are living in.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think Bitcoin is great as an asset and not as a Currency. on: July 16, 2021, 08:01:24 AM
Depends on who you are asking because there are some people that will say it's good for currency as well, I mean it has been used as one back when Laszlo bought 2 pizzas right? I think it's a bit of both because Satoshi's aim was to create a currency that will eliminate the middle man which is the banks.
794  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin Marriage on: July 15, 2021, 02:22:18 PM
not disapproving of bitcoin marriage, but it would be nice if we don't throw away the existing custom, just an ordinary ring in the wedding, we better focus on bitcoin being well received by all countries, and big countries reopening bitcoin mining
That's what keeping us lagging us a species, holding our tradition and not adapting to changes. I think that it's just a gimmick so I don't think that you should worry about this marriage because it's not like everyone is going to do it.
795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi logo (my proposal) on: July 15, 2021, 12:58:02 PM
I applaud your attempt but the logos are too plain (simply types "Sat") and too long (3 characters).
It is best if you work on a better design and try to come up with only 1 character logo instead of 3. That way it could be similar to any other currency symbols such as: $ € ¥ BTC.
I mean using the dollar sign would be confused with the USD for sats, I think that it's better if we don't care about the representative of sats because it's just the smallest unit of bitcoin as if it's any different.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First time paying in person with bitcoin: Computer Heads on: July 15, 2021, 12:19:31 PM
Cheers for the interesting anecdote, hope that this isn't the last time that someone will share something like this because the more people who share this kind of story means that the adoption is spreading like a wildfire because people are now more trusting of bitcoin.
797  Other / Archival / Re: Brief History of Bitcoin Adoption on: July 15, 2021, 11:44:46 AM
In the first two quarters of this year,we were expecting Bitcoin to be massively adopted by institutional investors and big corporations. Then Elon Musk started trolling BTC,the Bitcoin price crashed and all the institutional investors, that were showing interest in BTC simply stopped expressing interest for BTC. Grin
I know that Bitcoin adoption won't be a steady and predictable process. There will be huge obstacles and there will be times, when many companies and people will dump Bitcoin.

It's not trolling, it's manipulation, you make his actions look like it's to be taken lightly which shouldn't be. Also, we just have to wait for this so called adoption because it will come in due time, think of this time as a slack for the people to get in while it's not yet too late because the prices will only go up much more than just a 100k and will only have more financial institutions adopt bitcoin.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin brainwallet cracker on: July 15, 2021, 09:01:37 AM
I don't know how exactly your tool works but if it's in the same realm as a brute force approach, I don't think that even years and top of the line equipment is going to help you crack bitcoin or the wallet because with the string of characters and the length of it, I don't think that it's going to be an easy thing to do. Probably you will crack one but the problem is it takes a lot of time and you have cracked it but the universe is already dead and the wallet doesn't even have any coins in it.
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future money! on: July 15, 2021, 08:28:36 AM
with the adoption of several countries this would be very good for bitcoin to print directly as money in the form of buying and selling transactions that are used in everyday life to strengthen bitcoin in stock market prices and can be reused for a very long time as happened with paper money and its benefits can be felt directly by all those in the crypto world today, I think that is the only way to make this happen
Well too bad that this several countries aren't pretty influential in the international stage which makes their success in making bitcoin a big thing only a domestic success. I think that there's still a long way to go for bitcoin to do before they can do anything else because the community is still small in my opinion.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the implications of Hal being Satoshi? on: July 15, 2021, 07:42:46 AM
Nope he isn't Satoshi, Hal is a different person and I don't think that we should be saying that in memory of Hal, remember that he contributed different to Satoshi plus it would be stupid to do a multi account just to hide, I mean just use one account if you don't want your identity known.
