781  Economy / Services / Re: Auto-bumping your threads (more views -> stay at top) on: November 19, 2016, 09:16:10 PM
Even if this is somehow not against the rules, I cannot see the mods or admins being happy with this. This is not how bumps are supposed to happen.

Sharing statistics based win probabilites for PrimeDice

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1686263
That link appears to be broken, did your thread get either deleted or moved? Besides, PD is provably fair, and the EV is 99%. There's no beating that, it's just math.
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2016, 09:11:46 PM
Popping in here to throw in my two bits, I definitely think that if we plan to compete with China in mining power, we need to start finding our own cheap electricity. Until we have cheap electricity, we won't have mining in other places.

Electricity produced by nuclear power plants seems to be one of the cheapest major sources of power available nowadays. According to Wiki, 35 nuclear reactors are operating in China today, and it has "the fastest growing nuclear power program with 28 new reactors under construction" at that. In European countries as well as in Japan after the Fukushima events and in the US to a degree there is a strong movement against nuclear power stations in particular and nuclear energetics in general. On this account, the number of operated reactors in these countries seems to be rapidly diminishing. Old power stations are being closed every year while new ones are not being built. So China would most certainly remain one of the cheapest countries in terms of electricity costs, at least, until the thermonuclear energetics, otherwise known as nuclear fusion, becomes mainstream...

But this is not likely to happen very soon
I can only hope that the US/EU get their shit together and start moving towards cheap clean energy ASAP, but there's a lot of obstacles in the way of that currently.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: November 19, 2016, 09:06:51 PM
Gambling isn't really like investing, maybe vice versa. Investing your EV is usually positive while gambling it's not.
they are different but the risk may be almost the same, both have the same risk of large, investment may be little need knowledge to earn profit, in contrast to gamble ?
I wanted to ask you, invest in bankroll of gambling site, is it included in gambling?
Investing in a gambling website is different than gambling because in that case the house edge is on your side, not against you.
785  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [1000 Bitcoins] Be a part of bitcoin history! on: November 19, 2016, 09:02:11 PM
Checked few of the related domains and script for pixel ad and found most of the related domains are available as well as script is also available for free but may need few modification. So anybody can just use that free script and start similar projects, but the hardest part will be to find advertisers. 1BTC per pixel sound really high.

-snip-
It sounds high because it is absurdly high, >$700 is way too high for that small of an advertising space on a website that does not get nearly as much traffic as what you could get if you just paid for it on other advertising networks.
786  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Bitcoin Stickers! on: November 19, 2016, 08:58:55 PM
If you're still looking I know https://bitstickers.net/, I've bought some from them in the past and they've always been very nice, even included some extras in the box.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there new people coming to Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2016, 09:56:17 PM
I disagree with all the people saying no in here, I would say that the majority of people don't get into Bitcoin steadily over time, it happens with events in the real world. For example, there was a large spike in Bitcoin users when India announced the discontinuation of 2 of their bank notes.
788  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: What's up with this MyCelium fee? on: November 18, 2016, 09:54:57 PM
Unfortunately you were just very generous to the miner that got the block. Mycelium won't refund you (I'd have to assume) but I agree that this bug should be reported to them.

Was thinking of switching to mycelium but now I am hesitant to do so because of this. Is there an option to manually set the fees before I send the Bitcoins or is it automatically set?

Mycelium let's you choose 4 different options. If you look at the fees beforehand it'll be very obvious what you're paying. The 4 options are:

    • Low-prio (low priority)
    • Economic
    • Normal
    • Priority

I've never had an issue like this with mycelium ever. 1700 Satoshis/byte is 10x more than you would ever need.[/list]
I have also never had an issue with mycelium, ever. It's been a fantastic mobile wallet in my opinion.
    789  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CoinHits.com ▶ Pay-Per-Day Ad Network ▶ Instant Withdrawals! on: November 18, 2016, 09:52:36 PM
I hope that you become successful, I'm not up-to-date on the status of bitcoin ad networks but I believe that competition is a good thing, so good luck.
    790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price hits $100 000 in 2017 on: November 18, 2016, 09:50:27 PM
If this were by some miracle to happen, I assume it would come with extremely widespread adoption of Bitcoin and that it would also mean we would have a lot more places to spend bitcoin.
    791  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: November 18, 2016, 09:40:33 PM
I've never had a single problem with PD in the past 4 years. I'm sure if your claim is legitimate, then it will be looked at and worked out, but acting like a child will get you nowhere.
    792  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Aid23 - Earn unlimited Bitcoins! on: November 18, 2016, 09:36:07 PM
That might be one of the worst website backgrounds I have ever seen. Tile image that makes the actual text nearly impossible to read.
    793  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: November 18, 2016, 09:33:22 PM
HI admin of primedice, please reply my email, why my withdrawal pending. If you wanna hold just hold the profit but not my coins, because the profit only 0.08 and my coins is 1.92. Please reply and send my coins. Thanks.

Your profit nor your coins will be held. The reason is probably an empty hotwallet. I would say waiting patiently is your best option right now. I sure hope support gets back to you asap but I'm afraid sometimes it takes a bit more than 90 minutes. Your money is safe though if it's just pending!
Thanks,  and now more than 10 hours still not receive the coins and no reply and bitcoin price down to 735.
21 hours now, and still not receive my bitcoins. what do you want to review primedice admin? do you know how to work?
26 hours still not sending my bitcoins and no reply
I guarantee you spamming this thread with your complaints will get you nowhere. Contact the admin directly either through the website or their bitcointalk account. Nobody else will be able to help you so bitching at them won't do anything.
    794  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin, really. on: November 18, 2016, 09:29:22 PM
This post would probably belong under the service discussion subforum instead of this one, you might be able to ask a mod to move it.
795  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Free Script] Untitled Dice - Run your own bitcoin dice site (no server needed) on: November 18, 2016, 09:27:06 PM
Is it possible to create an offline dice service?
What do you mean by offline? As in not a website? You couldn't just run a program on an offline computer and expect the house to know that you won or lost bets.
796  Economy / Securities / Re: Invest in me. Total profits 10.5+ bitcoins. on: November 18, 2016, 05:45:00 PM
I'm currently over 10.5 btc profit

    Quote
I'm out of money right now

    Cognitive dissonance here matey.

No. I've won a lot and I've spent it. I recently got back into the game and won about 0.5btc but have spent that. I don't have enough money to play a serious game right now unless I get some help from others.
Nobody is going to give a newbie gambler on the forums lots of money bud, that's just how it works.
797  Economy / Goods / Re: [Price drop] Create secure paper wallets with an Ubuntu Live USB 0.025BTC each on: November 18, 2016, 05:43:23 PM
If someone knows how to use ubuntu to generate addresses offline, then they know how to use the deadass simple USB installer for ubuntu and they can make their own.

That's exactly what these are for.

I offer a guide with step by step instructions showing how you can create paper wallets for people who don't know how or don't have the time/knowledge to create live USBs. I also offer a guide on how to securely create vanity Paper wallets. Something I couldn't find anywhere.

If you already know how to create paper wallets and create an Ubuntu stick then this isn't the product for you although I'm sure you're well aware of that. Nice signature.
Alright, I can respect that business model. I didn't read far enough to see that you were also offering instructions. I'm not always a cynic, I promise Tongue

EDIT: Although if you don't, you might want to add instructions on how to live-boot from the USB.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core Cold Storage Question on: November 18, 2016, 05:40:26 PM
Bitcoin core isn't really designed for this, but Armory is, you should check it out. Also, paper wallets might be a good alternate option too.
799  Economy / Securities / Re: Invest in me. Total profits 10.5+ bitcoins. on: November 18, 2016, 05:39:25 PM
Nobody with their wits would ever invest in something with a negative EV. I've seen gamblers want "investments" time and time again and it always ends up badly, always.
    800  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Good online-cloud mining on: November 18, 2016, 05:38:15 PM
    Hi!

I am new, an i am looking for good online/cloud mining websites. Where you can Mine BTC online.

    You know any good Sites?
Better to keep your money or bitcoin  on  your piggy bank  rather  than  investing  it on  cloud  mining  sites  which are totally scams. As you  observe   most people  here do say the same thing about those  cloud  mining. Theres  no such thing  good  mining sites. better to  invest on something  which is legal and does have  potential.
Even if there were a legit cloud mining site, which there might be, there would still be no way for you to make money with it. It just wouldn't be worth it to buy hashing power from them, because cloud mining sites only exist to make a profit off of fees that people pay.
