81  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 18, 2024, 08:56:11 PM
Does this forum have limitations on sending or receiving merits on the Trading Discussion Board? If not, then there is nothing wrong with the forum function. And probably the thread should not the meta section as well. However, the merit of sending depends on the merit source and senders. For me, very rarely do I visit the trading discussion board, which means there are very less chances to get merit from me on the trading discussion board, even though I am a merit source. I visit some other sections and regularly spend my merit, especially in the reputation section. So there is nothing wrong with that; everything depends on the sender's mind.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buying bitcoin with a creditcard on: April 18, 2024, 08:40:26 PM
Keep in mind that when you are going to buy Bitcoin with your card, you have to undergo verification, so you need to provide your identity. Also, there will be a charge for your purchase. I think a more easy option for you is to make a P2P purchase. So you can avoid a lot of hassle when buying Bitcoin. Even you can seek on the forum Currency Exchange section to purchase Bitcoin by cash. Just make sure the seller is trusted; otherwise, use an escrow service. So you are safe.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Focus on knowledge, build up belief, then investment plan, success will come. on: April 18, 2024, 08:34:58 PM
Without proper knowledge and marker research, we shouldn't make any kind of investment decisions, either on Bitcoin or in real life. We all just know we can make money from the crypto market, but we don't know how to react according to the market. Without proper knowledge and research, we can't realise the scope of bitcoin investment. A wrong decision would lead to losing. We have to learn a lot about Bitcoin and how it works. Otherwise, we just have to gamble. I know many lucky investors got good profits from bitcoin investments, though they don't have the proper knowledge. But we need to keep in mind that we won't be lucky like them. We would need to understand everything and struggle a lot to gain from a bitcoin investment.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The effect Nigeria ban on Binance P2P traders on: April 17, 2024, 09:20:38 PM
Binance P2P makes it easier to trade and sell crypto for local currency. But that doesn't mean crypto holders can't survive without Binance. When there weren't Binance P2P, people also used something to sell their crypto. We should always have alternative options. Anything could happen in crypto, and we may lose anything. However, I believe Nigerians will find alternatives for P2P sales. A lot of exchanges are now offering p2p. Also, they could build local communities to sell P2P. It shouldn't just depend on Binance.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regret in cryptocurrency? on: April 17, 2024, 09:07:58 PM
An asset's value changes from time to time. It might go up or down as well. But from my experience, most of the assets value is increasing, like land or gold. So Bitcoin values change from time to time. We won't have a fixed goal for our cryptocurrency. It was above $70K, and many haven't sold. But Bitcoin is trading at $60K now, and many have been selling. However, at the beginning, Bitcoin wasn't very popular, and there wasn't much adaptation. So people offer it cheaply. Now, Bitcoin has gained a wide range of popularity, and many more people are familiar with it. So ultimately, new buyers are coming and prices have been increasing. My plan is to sell when I have a noticeable profit from crypto that could improve my lifestyle.
86  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Selling BTC for foreign currencies on: April 17, 2024, 07:31:24 PM
First of all, you can sell BTC in your country and convert it to USD or any other international currency. So you can exchange wherever you want to visit. Often, I do it since I am familiar with how to sell bitcoin in my country. The second option is to sell p2p where you visit. When I visited India, I got help from a travel agency. I directly pay on their account by selling p2p. I also got some cash from there, though they charge a bit extra, but it does work well. I use Binance for P2P sales since it supports a wide range of countries for P2P. Third option is use a crypto physical card. I have been using a RedotPay physical card. With that, I can pay for anything or withdraw from the ATM as well. But do your own research.
87  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would You Recommend Investing Binance Pays 9.70% Interest on USDC on: April 16, 2024, 09:42:16 PM
I will advise you to stop investigating and storing funds on centralised exchanges. I have bad experience with Binance; they take time to resolve, hence I am not writing details. I will wait for their answers before writing in detail. They can suspend your account or freeze funds at any time. So you will lose your funds. When your funds are on centralised exchanges, you don't have control over your funds. Keep this in mind before making any decisions.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved in Hong Kong on: April 16, 2024, 09:08:00 PM
I have heard this news too, but Bitcoin and Ethereum do not seem to be reacting to this news. There weren't any significant movements at all, even though this is big news. I don't see any valid reason why Bitcoin is dipping now after the Israel attack. I think the war is not going to continue with Iran, so the market should become normal again. Besides, Hong Kong ETF approval is big news for the Bitcoin community, but we can't realise any impact. I think it would take sometimes, like US ETF, if it wasn't pumped instantly and started pumping after a few days.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 16, 2024, 09:01:53 PM
I don't believe altcoin would be a distraction for Bitcoin adaptation. Bitcoin has become more popular due to altcoins. If there weren't altcoins, then how could we judge Bitcoin as the top and mother coin? Honestly, all the altcoins aren't just shitcoins. Like Ethereum doing very good after Bitcoin. So we can say altcoins are helping Bitcoin adapt. Nowadays, altcoin trading pairs have been adding Bitcoin; it does give more popularity to Bitcoin and prove as a mother coin.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It takes the balls... on: April 14, 2024, 09:15:23 PM
Bitcoin was dipping around $60K. Are your friends still looking for more dips? I don't think there will be more dips unless Iran and Israel continue the war. Because halving is too near, and after halving, there would be significant movements. Also, Hong Kong would approve an ETF that would drive Bitcoin up. During the dip, altcoin was more dip. So I accumulated some altcoins at that time since I was also holding a small amount of bitcoin.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Few days to 4th Bitcoin Halving on: April 14, 2024, 07:46:29 PM
It's true we have seen the last bull run and pump due to Bitcoin ETF approval. Otherwise, we haven't seen any significant movements in bitcoin before the halving. All the time, Bitcoin gets hard-pumped after the halving. If you see the historical chart, you will discover how Bitcoin reacts during and after the halving. So this time positive for us, ETF already pumped Bitcoin, and we will see another pump after the halving, though it won't happen instantly. And I don't think the bull will end very soon before Bitcoin breaks $100K. After reaching $100K, we might encounter the bear market again, but we don't know where the bottom points will be.
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: Iran strikes Israel. Crypto crashing heavily... on: April 14, 2024, 07:38:33 PM
I don't care, actually. The crypto isn't related to any war or whatever. A war can't destroy Bitcoin anyway. But as we saw yesterday, Bitcoin was bleeding hard due to the to the Israel attack. It's just because of fear, nothing else. A large number of panic sellers liquidate their crypto to make cash. But I don't think it will last very long. I realised today that a dump  happened due to an attack when I saw the news. However, we can see Bitcoin starting to recover very well. And I hope a few positive news will surround us to make another pump. Likely, Hong Kong ETF approval will be soon, and halving is coming, which would be enough to make another pump.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden’s 30% tax is not welcomed by crypto industry on: April 14, 2024, 07:30:51 PM
Honestly, miners should leave the USA and move to any other country where electricity bills are very low. Otherwise, they should use renewable energy to mine Bitcoin. Who wants to pay an overcharge? So definitely, miners won't welcome this decision. Rather than argue with the Biden administration, miners should find other places where crypto is legal and the cost is also lower. The US will always try to take advantage of anything related to crypto. A large number of citizens got involved with crypto. So they want to control everything and charge high.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving countdown on: April 13, 2024, 09:10:03 PM
Right now, Bitcoin is trading in the $60K zone. Means Bitcoin dumped very hardly today even halving is very near. But I think the dump is because of the potential war between Iran and Israel. But I don't think Iran will directly involve itself in the war currently running out. So possibly we will see a recovery as well. We can say Bitcoin faked out before starting a pump. However often we see dumps before the halving, and most likely after the halving, Bitcoin will be another bull run that will create a new history.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the HERO we never knew we needed on: April 13, 2024, 09:00:18 PM
The question is nonsense at all. Why do you expect it to end up commercial banking system? Currently, USD is ruling the world, but if Brics comes out, will USD end up? I don't think so. Bitcoin can't solve all the problems in the world. Bitcoin could help us solve some issues, like borderless transactions and financial freedom. But still, we need the traditional commercial banking system, which has been controlled by a central government. A worldwide centralised government won't recognise Bitcoin as a payment system and totally out of the of the traditional banking system anyway.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Proof of Scam ? on: April 13, 2024, 08:49:34 PM
I am wondering why the OP scarred about Bitcoin. What's wrong with you at all? Nothing is hidden or dirty in Bitcoin code. It's open source; you can do everything if you are a developer. How are others forking the Bitcoin blockchain unless they don't know the source codes? Halving was planned as well, though it wasn't written on the whitepaper. Satoshi set up a system to reduce block rewards and determine how long it would take to mine the last bitcoin. So it's a normal processor; nothing dirty here, nor is Satoshi getting any advantage from the halving.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc purchases on: April 13, 2024, 08:42:31 PM
What qualifications are you talking about? You can use any P2P platform suggested by other users that doesn't require any KYC verification. When you want to buy bitcoin with fiat, the only option is p2p or card. So for the card, you will end up with KYC verification. You may also seek out the currency exchange section on this forum. You may post your requirements and use the escrow service to avoid scams. So that's how I think you can buy Bitcoin. However, learn about the wallet service where you will store your bitcoin. It should be non-custodial, like Electrum, or it should be a hardware wallet.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here is why people make money from Airdrops on: April 12, 2024, 07:16:22 PM
For me, doing an airdrop is just a waste of time. At the beginning of my crypto journey, I did some airdrops and got useless tokens. So I have gotten nothing from Airdrop; hence, I hate it. So for a long time I have been away from the airdrop system, so I still believe Aidrop is nothing except wasting time. I heard some people make money from airdrops in real life. I never asked where they made it since it was not interesting to me. However, even if you are involved with Airdrop, just make sure you aren't going to waste your time.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the good days for meme coins gone forever ? on: April 12, 2024, 07:08:50 PM
Despite the fact that I don't like meme coins, right now meme coins are reflecting everywhere. I can see all the meme coins pumped dyeing the bull run, but you are saying you haven't seen them. I don't know exactly what you want to mean, but still, memes exist and have good lives. Personally, I don't even trade meme coins. Binance lists a couple of new meme coins, though I am still not interested in investing. I don't know the reason, but I think memes are just useless tokens. They don't provide any utilities and can't make any real-world use cases.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Run - Gambling - New Coins on: April 12, 2024, 07:01:07 PM
So you want to promote your own token? If so, I don't think it's going to work in this section. For me, I don't invest a single penny in presale right now. Because maybe very rarely presale projects get pumped. Most scammers take advantage of bull runs. They just launch a new token and raise funds, then there is no more activity and the chart starts going down. That's how a lot of investors lose funds every day. I won't prefer anyone to gamble with presale. It's better to trade rather than invest in a brand new presale token.
