Clearly a hash rate bubble.

Clearly and obviously its unsustainable, it could even end up using more power than the entire financial system someday.

It will be back at late 2012 levels by mid 2014.  Obviously.

When some ingenious person figures out how to hash directly from heat transfer and creates home insulation that pays for its self? This currencies also backed by innovation towards higher efficiency Smiley

I was able to heat my entire home with my ASICs, for no more than the furnace would have cost to heat.   Next generation incoming will heat my greenhouse as well.   For me it has all worked out extremely well.   I can see being able to heat everything eventually, hot water, home, shop, swimming pool . . .
The home insulation has nothing to do with that though; well, except for keeping warm things warm.

You can't have it both ways, either it is hard for the heat to leave the house, or it is easy. The more you keep the heat inside, the less energy you can get from it going outside and vice-versa.
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: why no harder crash ? on: December 18, 2013, 03:50:46 AM
It's just that the word "crash" gets thrown around the forum so much.  Anytime prices go down it's a "crash".  When prices go up, it's a "bubble".

When prices continue to decline for a couple of weeks, is it still a "crash"?  When does it cease to be a crash and become a decline?  Or do we just like to throw around words with the most shock value?
People usually call a crash when the price goes more down than up; it's more about the trend than individual values.

has no one been thinking HOW THE FUCK YOU GET PERFECT SQUARES TATTOO'D ON?

and the OP address given doesn't look like the QR code on her:

https://blockchain.info/address/17jJ1WAJwqizCNLC6p2KadeRqPYhVispzt
What the fuck are you talking about? The address in the QR code is the same as the one spelled out, both here and in Reddit...

Besides, if the tattoo artist is good, he can draw anything, even straight lines...

im a qr newbie. Why is the QR different on the blockchain page; shouldn't it be the same if thats the address her ass leads to?
There is all sorts of different ways to encode stuff in a QR code.
Though in this case the contents are indeed different. Her tattoo got the pseudo-protocol indicator "bitcoin:" before the address, while the one at blockchain.info got just the address without any indication of what it is.

It's just a small setback; long term Bitcoin is always going up.
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 17, 2013, 05:05:58 AM
Btw, does anyone knows what happened to that Chinese factory that was accepting payments in Bitcoin for building ASIC chips? (i forgot which company had that deal)
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 17, 2013, 04:16:37 AM
Has there been any actual official confirmation of this last round of news from China? I just read a thread that said it is all rumors based on an unauthenticated online post that isn't online anymore...

I caught syphilis just looking at that bitch's picture.
Fuck you.

Just 'cause a chick is confortable with her sexuality it doesn't mean she doesn't take care of herself.

Anyway, i managed to get a read from https://i.imgur.com/1jqw6Ok.jpg by zooming in a bit, wasn't easy but after moving the camera around a bit and letting it focus and adjust for the screen brightness i got the following:

Oh, sorry dude. I didn't know you were married to the girl that has her payment address on her ass.

BTW: it's good to know she's still getting her weekly checkup and thanks for raising my kids. lol
I have no clue who she is. But prejudicial assholes piss me off.

If you're going the DIY route, perhaps it could be a good idea to look into bee-based smell detectors. Bees are much easier and cheaper to train than dogs and got quite a nose.

edit: though i dunno where you would get the reference smells to train them on...

So only the Chinese government is allowed to work as a Bitcoin exchange in China now?

No, not quite what we said.  But I'm sure they like your idea Smiley
Hm... But then, is this any different from when they said banks couldn't be exchanges and civilians and companies could as long as they recognize the government isn't gonna bail them out if the price goes down?

I wasn't paying attention, what happened this time that scared folks enough to bring the price down to the 700s range?
96  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Choosing Your Anti-Virus Software on: December 17, 2013, 01:31:01 AM
Just send every non-signed exe file to https://www.virustotal.com/
Think twice before running any app as administrator.
Or just use linux  Grin
There have been malwares that infect machines without using obviously executable files; including ones that you only need to open a website to get infected, hell there have even been viruses spread by image files and even shortcuts with malformed icon data, that you only had to open the folder they are in to get infected.
97  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-16 Zero Hedge - J P Morgan' s Bitcoin-like patent rejected 175 times on: December 17, 2013, 01:18:04 AM
They might keep trying with something they know will be rejected, and then when they got a target to sue for patent infringement they'll fix their application and tweak to fit the target, and the date of the first filling will count even though they changed the contents...

Looks quite suspicious. Why would you create an account just to tell newbies about a site you found, and then use the same name as the site as your username?
As I said before

Seems like you indeed did, dunno why i missed it the first time.
