If i'm not mistaken, in England you could be arrested under kiddy porn laws if people other than you on a MMO wearing avatars that could be interpreted as being underage position their avatars in such a way that can be considered "inappropriate" in front of your camera...

Whenever i think killing myself makes sense i remember myself that a healthy mind would never come to that conclusion and just dismiss it as faulty and go after things that will help me to health up my mind.
1043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many posts? on: July 21, 2011, 01:55:49 AM
Does it count the time if you just keep the forum open  overnight while you sleep?
1044  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin addresses FAST! [v0.13] on: July 20, 2011, 08:08:03 AM
By registering the address in the blockchain first they ensure they get the only clean FirstBits address for vanity addresses with that prefix
1045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who the FUCK is making bitcoin viruses? on: July 19, 2011, 10:07:50 PM
...

(My virus discover technique involves sniffing traffic at my packet filter.  I can see my girlfriends computer is loaded with something(s) interacting with machines in China all the time.  And she has various anti-virus software on a very new and powerful but also very slow machine which is quite aggravating to use.)

Shhhh, she's a Chinese spy!!! ¬.¬

There are significant differences between learning and just plain memorizing; unfortunatly more and more the schools and similar teaching entities have been ignoring the distinction...
1047  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Anyone figured out why phoenix slowly degenerates from full load to sine wave? on: July 19, 2011, 06:01:59 PM
Doesn't the performance degrades with increased temperature?
1048  Other / Off-topic / Re: How will my Luck Be? on: July 19, 2011, 05:27:21 AM
I wish you good luck
1049  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Anyone figured out why phoenix slowly degenerates from full load to sine wave? on: July 19, 2011, 05:21:53 AM
Temperature kinda makes sense; the performance of the chips decrease the hotter they get, the hotter they get the less they are doing so they gradually cool down, then when they're cool they start racing again and the cycle starts over...

Though perhaps there is the need for an additional component to throttle things down when it gets hot or it would just stay choking hot, i'm not sure...Hm, perhaps the fan kicks in drawing enough electricity that would otherwise be used by the card to run faster? Dunno really...
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin going to change its inflation algorithm? on: July 19, 2011, 05:14:45 AM
I like when i pull money from my pocket there is more than what i put in; so i really hope Bitcoin remains deflationary.

Congratulate your kid, pick him up early before detention to get some icecream or somthing; and write to the school asking for some punishment for the teacher for trying to teach the students wrong things and trying to punish students for his/her own mistakes.

Just a note, they are already here, keep that in mind when reacting to people's posts, starting your own rants about them etc.

Tighten your seatbelts, we're in for a rough ride.

LulzSec could not break Bitcoin, and not for lack of trying. The SA trolls have no chance.
I was talking about the forum, and not Bitcoin itself

After all, we all know the Internet is serious busyness ¬.¬
1055  Other / Meta / Re: A growing social threat to our community. on: July 18, 2011, 08:19:15 AM
I don't think calling them names is the best approach for keeping them away from you...
1056  Other / Meta / Re: A growing social threat to our community. on: July 18, 2011, 07:53:52 AM
...We are a forum of many different professions, backgrounds, political ideology's, and opinions. Why is that so hard to understand?

People like to think in terms of tribes, teams etc, "us VS. them" and so on; and they like to put generalisistic labels on things; so it's not completly surprising if they have a hard time accepting a group of people can be so diverse as the forum members here are, and that at the smallest sign of disagreement they place us in the opposing party.
1057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transferring bitcoins by sound? on: July 18, 2011, 07:06:57 AM
But can you install custom software in such devices? And are they even powerful enough to decode data from the audio stream without the addition of a dedicated chip?
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transferring bitcoins by sound? on: July 18, 2011, 04:49:00 AM
At first i thought this was about performing transactions using audio to transport the transaction request for the first time, for things like a blind client in a mobile that doesn't got a fresh blockchain, only the private key of an address that was expected to have money (so you could for example use a cheap(er) device that doesn't got an internet connection, walk to a vending machine, press a couple buttons and place the device against the mic of the vending machine, and the vending machine would relay the transaction to the internet); i'm not quite sure now....
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will bitcoin become less secure over time? on: July 18, 2011, 04:44:18 AM
(adding thread to my watchlist; no, it's not the same as clicking the notify button)
