81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 06, 2024, 11:29:32 AM
The Sri Lankan team is still in good shape even though they have lost five wickets for just 163 runs in 30.5 overs. The bigger the pair formed in the cricket match, the more runs the team will be able to score. Charith Asalanka and Sahan Arachchige are currently batting for the Sri Lankan team. I think these two are going to form a good pair and they will take their team far and even put up a strong innings against Zimbabwe.

The match of Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka is in progress. Avishka Fernando was the first player who was out with the Zimbabwe team, and he was out on the first over fifth ball, and he also made zero runs.
At this time, the Sri Lankan team's performance was not good.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: January 06, 2024, 11:09:51 AM
Doge is better than other meme project as long as elon is keep supporting this project. Elon musk stated that he has plan in action to make twitter as a financial hub that means people will be able to use their twitter account as a visa or mastercard to do online transactions. Many think that in this development elon will also add doge coin as one of the payment options for twitter users, which is a major use case for doge. But it is also possible that elon has no such plan for doge and he has promoted doge only to make profits. That can also be a fact.

If we talk about long term then doge coin is no doubt a better option for investment but if we look at the current new meme coins that are on the SOL and AVAX blockchain, they have a lot of trending and hype and people are getting good profit for short term. Meme coins can give 1000x returns but the risk involved in them is also to high.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 06, 2024, 10:52:46 AM
The World Cup schedule has been announced and according to the schedule, India has four matches to play in the group stage and these four matches will be played in between which team and which ground and at which time.

India's first match with Ireland is on Wednesday and this match will played in New York, India's second match is set to play with Pakistan and this match also will be played in New York on Sunday, and the third match of India will be play also in New York between USA on Wednesday, and Indian team last match is with Canada on Saturday in Lauderhill.

As you know T20 World Cup 2024 groups were announced so I think the most easier group is for New Zealand because New Zealand is the only team in their group, which team had a top 5 team ranking in T20 at this time, and they had the first match with New Zealand and then West Indies and then Uganda and after that, all they had a match with the smallest team Papua New Guinea.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 06, 2024, 08:02:49 AM
One of the most important things was announced yesterday which is the groups of the T20 World Cup, and also all the fixtures have been revealed, and in the group, A members are, the USA, Ireland, Pakistan, Canada, and India, and from this, I think that only Pakistan and India go for he Quaterfinal from this group, and the most interesting thing is in this group is we can see India vs Pakistan match again, and this match will be held on 9th June in the middle of New York where we will see the stadium surrounded by big buildings all around.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seems it's alt season... Any suggestions..? on: January 05, 2024, 11:43:19 AM
Seems like the market is gradually waking up, and I believe now is the time to start accumulating your preferred alts to position yourself for the upcoming season.

I am not sure if we are fully in the alt season at the moment. The altseason index is at 59 which indicates that still there is a lot more room for the altcoins to gain momentum but again it depends upon the bitcoin movement. If the bitcoin remains stable in a range fore week or so, the altcoin market will perform even better.

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero (XMR) and other privacy coins at risk of delisting from Binance on: January 05, 2024, 10:01:43 AM
They are removed from the many centralized exchanges already and Binance delisting them is bit late, to be honest and if you have a privacy coin then you have to choose the DEX for trading it, but regulators are trying everything to suppress the growth of privacy coins which they consider as more risk than coin like bitcoin to their economy.

I cannot say with confidence for all privacy coins but for Monero (XMR), even if it is delisted from all centralized exchanges, there won't be any bad impact on the Monero coin and ecosystem. The reason is that those who use Monero will continue using it and it has a very strong use case and no one can deny it.

Exchanges may have to delist it because of the pressure from the authorities but it should not be a concern for the Monero community.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2024, 09:30:49 AM
The third day's play in the third Test between Australia and Pakistan has ended. Pakistan bowled brilliantly to restrict Australia to 299 runs after the tea break. Pakistan went into bat with a lead of 14 runs, Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood were dismissed for no runs in the first 2 overs at the start of Pakistan's second innings. Saim Ayub and Babar Azam tried to give some resistance, but they were dismissed for two of the team's 60 runs. Australia's bowler Josh Hazelwood gave Pakistan the biggest shock in the last phase of the third day, cornering Pakistan with three wickets in an over. Pakistan ended the day with a team score of 67/7, leading by 82 runs. Hope to get the result of this test tomorrow very soon and I think Australia will win the match.

Pakistan team had a great bowler whose name is Aamer Jamal, he took 6 wickets and in the previous match of this series, he also took 6 wickets in an inning. He did 2 no-balls but as he took wickets we can't consider it.

He did 21.4 overs and on it he gave just 69 runs. He out Pat Cummins on 0 runs, and also he took the wicket of Travis Head who is the king of the Indian team for only knockdown matches.

Pakistan team played wonderful in bowling but not in batting. He took the first wicket of Usman Khuwaja.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if DEXs are banned in the future? on: January 05, 2024, 08:10:31 AM
Nothing can be do if the government hunts down the developer of dex's but I don't think that it will be happening at once on all places. And I think if they do the banned on dex's there will be must different way will invented. Moreover, If those dex's developers and owners hide their identity like as the founder of bitcion sathosi then government will nothing can do if they ban on dex's on future.

DEX are decentralized so how can they be banned ?

Even if the government are strict toward the adoption of crypto currencies, they can only ban the centralized exchanges but it is not possible to ban the dexes. Just like no one can ban bitcoin, the same goes true for the decentralized platforms.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: January 05, 2024, 07:52:26 AM
Well, seems like the Kramer effect was more serious on the mempool than on the price, at first glance I though Viabtc mined two consecutive blocks but no,

Seems like the fees are back under 50sat/b, not great not terrible!
Of course it's still almost like holiday in the most of the world, it's barely 4 am in Europe so by tomorrow evening they might grow again but still the huge wall of fees is decreasing, from record high of 240Mvb till 10 sat/vb we're down to 185Mvb, although there are still incoming transactions seems like nobody is that eager to pay over 100sat/vb for a tx.

Right now we have  257,293 Tx unconfirmed at the moment. And the fee is also decreasing.  Getting 50 Sat/vbyte is much better than getting 200+sat/vbyte. Also if the ETF is not approved today on friday, then we can have even lower fees during this weekend. However if ETF is approved, then mem pool can again become congested due to lot of transactions.

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: January 05, 2024, 07:32:49 AM
Generally I don't think that altcoin holding can bring some good profit and if the questions about altcoin which gives from the new token of new project is very less chances to see the face of profit. I think it will be much better to sell the coin after getting the payment if the coin is listed on any exchanger. So I wanna say don't waste your fund and time on those altcions.

Well, this statement is not 100% true. I know I got some airdrop of the coins and I sold them immediately after being listed on the exchanges but later those coins performed well and were valued more than my selling price. But not all coins behave like this. Some coins get listed on exchanges and keep on dump. It depends upon the team as well. If the coin is created keeping a long term perspective, they will lock the lock in order to prevent such situations but mostly the project owners are scammers who will just dump the coin to gain the profits and move on.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin ETF is not Approved on: January 05, 2024, 07:22:17 AM
And many analysts are against Matrixport's report because it is unlikely that the SEC will approve the bitcoin spot ETF because the SEC will be sued if they reject it.

Let's go for the worst case scenario and in that, the EFT is rejected or delayed. Then what will happen?

For the time being the bitcoin will dump but it won't be the end of bitcoin. We will still have halving, and we will still see the Bitcoin all time high and the bull run. Previously bitcoin was performing well with ETF and it will continue doing so. So for the Bitcoin community, denying ETF does affect much.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: League and Domestic Cricket discussion on: January 01, 2024, 12:55:23 PM
Martin Guptill was the second opener from his team Auckland and he played worst. He just made 7 runs while he used to play 8 balls. He didn't hit any six, he just hit one four and after that, he was out. He was standing on the ground for 12 minutes.

He was out by Hazeldine and the ball was caught by Phillips. It was the first wicket from his team and when he was out his team ran 26 and he was out on 2.3 overs.

He didn't performed well in this match but I hope that in the coming matches, he plays well.
93  Other / Meta / Re: New Year = New Password (...and new you, too!) on: January 01, 2024, 05:35:38 AM
No, although it's recommended to frequently change passwords but i still  push how long and strong password combination is the most important.
As for the 2fa, the secret key should be saved to a safe place just like how important password and private key/seed is.

When I saw this thread title, I thought OP is suggesting everyone change their password. I don't think there is any need for it if your password is already secure and complex one.
Yes, we can configure the 2fa with our existing passwords to make it more secure.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 31, 2023, 06:00:05 PM
This is the more reason why we shouldn't trust anything we hear or see from the media. The world entirely if full or good and evil and there are lots of wolves in sheep clothing, inside the altcoins we hear and see, there are lots of scam project inside. So no matter the reputation of the person doing the ads the project can sill be a scam project. Some weeks back I saw a post in this board talking about Ronaldo being charged that he will pay  a huge some of money just for doing ads on the wrong NFT. But when you do your own research, you stand a better chance of identifying a scam project.

I agree that there may be many scam projects but again that does not mean that all of them are bad ones. There are some good projects too and if anyone does not believe in the new startups, better wait for them to mature or invest only in the projects that have already established a name.

To further secure your investment, it is better to invest in projects that have already a high market cap and investing in the top 20 or even top 50 coins at coinmarketcap can minimize your risks to a great extent.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 31, 2023, 11:39:34 AM
Soumya Sarkar was the first wicket, Najmul Hossain Shanto was the second wicket, and Rony Talukdar was the third wicket. Afif Hossain was the fourth wicket, and Towhid Hridoy was the fifth wicket. Mahedi Hasan was the sixth wicket. Shamim Hossain was the seventh wicket. Shoriful Islam was the 8 wicket. Tanvir Islam was the ninth wicket. Rishad Hossain was the last wicket.
Overall if we see New Zealand performance was not good. They lost five wickets fortunately they have won because the target was no much high. With DLS method they won by 17 runs.
Mitchell Santner performance was really excellent. First he collected 4 wickets after that in batting line he was holding the wickets from getting down. He made 18 runs and remained not out. He is the Captain of the New Zealand team too. Shoriful Islam and Mahedi Hasan was trying well to collect the wickets of New Zealand they both collected 2,2 wickets. Congratulations to New Zealand team.

Important to mention this as the falling of the wickets of Bangladesh, this is in which number everyone got in the falling of wickets, and no one stood in the ground for some more time that's why they are just possible to give the target of 110 runs. Had anyone batted responsibly and they had one or two partnerships, the result would have been entirely different.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 31, 2023, 11:00:10 AM
Bangladesh vs New Zealand third series match if Bangladesh batsmen could have batted responsibly and if they could have given New Zealand a target of 150 runs then maybe Bangladesh could have won the third T20 match. Like the Test match, the T20 series was tied 1-1 with New Zealand. The only reason Bangladesh lost the third T20 match was weak batting. If the batting of Bangladesh had been organized, if the batsmen could have performed well, then maybe Bangladesh would have won the second T20 match very easily. Bangladesh's bowlers bowled brilliantly against New Zealand despite being set a target of just 111 runs, so poor batting was the only reason they lost the third T20 series.

97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 31, 2023, 10:37:27 AM
110 all out what kind of pitch has the Newzealand curators prepared. Such low socring in a T20 match doesn't justify the concept of this format. Rain interruption and with DLS in action it was a win win situation for the Kiwis. A really bad series for Bangladesh as they missed a good opportunity in the second game and the third was a disaster. Series drawn, for me the rain should be held responsible for the draw.
I don't think Bangladesh could have won without rain because they scored only 110 runs.In T20 cricket, this is a very low number of runs when the opposition is a strong team like New Zealand. Set to bat at a target of 110, New Zealand scored 95 for five in just 14.4 overs, meaning they were scoring 6.59 runs per over. In the third T20I, Mitchell Centner bowled incredibly as he took four wickets for 16 runs in just four overs. And as a result he was Man of the Match. However, Md. Shariful Islam, an outstanding bowler of Bangladesh in this T20 series, has become the player of the series.
New Zealand played very well and scored 95 runs in just 14 overs while Bangladesh set their target at just 110 runs.  So even if New Zealand did not win the match on the DLS method, if they had continued the game, they could have won the match.  I don't believe Bangladesh team can do well now.  Because the quality of their game has been lost.  The good players of Bangladesh are leaving the team.  Therefore, Bangladesh has fallen far behind in the game of cricket.  It is doubtful whether the Bangladesh team can do well in the future too

The vice-captain of the Bangladesh team is Rony Talukdar but he didn't play well. He was out with a leg before the wicket. Sears did the ball at a very high speed so Rony Talukdar thought to beat it and considered this ball as a dot but he didn't think that ball could swing and come inside into his pads and he was out by Sears, He was didn't fascinated by umpire decision but he also didn't took a review. He made just 10 runs while he also used just 10 runs.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 31, 2023, 08:37:42 AM
Finally, the New Zealand team is ahead in terms of run rate. Following the DLS method, New Zealand won by 17 runs as Bangladesh scored more runs. With the New Zealand team losing 5 consecutive wickets, two young players Neesham and Santner took control of the match. The match was postponed due to rain at the last minute due to which the DLS system was used.

Now, the series of New Zealand vs Bangladesh has been totally finished, and the T20 series has been won by both teams, this series has been drawn. The captain of the Bangladesh team was out by Milne and caught by Allen. Najmul Hossain Shanto was on strike and the bowler gave a length ball but it bounced too high and after seeing the delivery Najmul Hossain Shanto thought that I should hit a pull shot in it and he did exactly as he thought but his thought was wrong, and at the end he has been out.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: December 31, 2023, 04:45:54 AM
Yeah, the miners are getting huge rewards in the form of those high fees and they definitely should be loving to see those high fees, but they deserve to have those fees for their contribution in running of the Bitcoin network.

There are a handful of miners as compared to the users of Bitcoin who are suffering from these high fees at the moment. Today is Sunday and usually, the mempool should not be congested during the weekends but still, the mempool fee is around 200 vbyte/sat, which is on the higher side.

Most of the retailers and ordinary users are waiting for this high fee issue to be resolved and we can do our transactions at cheaper fees.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all learnt this 2023 on: December 29, 2023, 06:28:49 AM
Stop over diversification, what I call over diversification is putting your money in every crypto project that comes your way.
I think it's far better to have few crypto that you are constantly, than investing violently in so many project.

yeah, choose a crypto you want to invest in and stick to it, new project will keep coming and might seems to have good prospect although it won't take long before they become irrelevant, choosing a particular crypto asset is the best advice.

If we do proper research before investing in any project / coin, we are in a better position to manage our portfolio. Following the signals and other such shortcut steps won't help you build the portfolio for the long term. Also, most people just keep the altcoins with them and they forget about the potential of bitcoins.

Another thing to learn is to hold the coins for the long term is much more beneficial and buy and sell them again and again for short profits. This means that swing trading is better than day trading.
