81  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: August 08, 2021, 12:59:59 PM
I couldn't put the full title in the subject line due to character restrictions, but here is the full question:
If bitcoin was fully adopted into everyday life, why would it ever be used for day-to-day transactions if the general consensus was that the price would always appreciate?

After reading several posts on this forum many people seem to think that Bitcoin will always go up. If this were to be the case, why would people spend Bitcoin at all? In this theoretical time, wouldn't it just be a poor financial decision to do?

Or is it thought that in this future where there is widespread adoption the price would stop being so volatile and for the most part stabilize?
I think one of the most probable reason is whenever someone who is holding bitcoin experiences an emergency that requires financial aid and they have no option left but to spend their holding. Other reason could be they have already reached the certain target amount they are waiting for and it is now their time to cherish their earnings from bitcoin investment. Bitcoin's value is volatile in nature so the price wouldn't go high always although I get your point that no matter what, the only direction of this market is going up but still time is of the essence I guess that's why they want to enjoy life as they spend some of their holdings, maybe they will be dead the next day and they won't even reach the next bull run.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google starts accepting Bitcoin ads on: August 08, 2021, 12:22:13 PM
The prediction about bitcoin getting banned temporarily only in Google ads is clearly true. We've seen how much the advertisements that are crypto related was restricted by Google and now, they are now allowing it once again. This would surely make a huge impact for bitcoin's value and will encourage other huge companies and organizations in associating their business with cryptocurrencies. Sooner or later, we will see crypto specially bitcoin dominating in all aspects in the world and by that time, those who never stopped believing on it will surely gain much benefit from it as the value rises endlessly.
83  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you worried about the delta virus variant? on: August 07, 2021, 04:48:19 PM
In my honest opinion, I am way more scared of the future we will all have once the pandemic finally comes to an end. After one of the biggest crisis human race has ever faced, the economic downfall will then begin. As the whole world's economic progress gets paused last year as the lockdown happened, it is very much expected that almost all of the countries will suffer specially the thirld world countries. The virus has been existing for a very long time already that everyone ended up getting used to it, if ever delta variant will cause more crisis as the number of cases exceeds even more, it will also affect the economic downfall in future more than it has already has.
84  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me differentiate this thought, teach a man how to fish or give him Bitcoin. on: August 07, 2021, 04:27:52 PM
The actual case here is that those person who relies too much o giveaways and other means of gaining bitcoin amidst knowing how to earn in other ways are stupid. They've been taught how to farm yet they chose to rely on ways that is the most convenient for them. Just like any other job in the world, patience and being strategic are those that a person should obtain if he really wants to earn lots of money. Instead of instantly giving them bitcoin, teaching them how to earn is much more recommendable so that they will have the freedom to choose whether they will give importance to it or just remain with their old ways.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this another Ethereum season on: August 07, 2021, 03:53:39 PM
As of the time of this thread creation, the Ehtereum price is $2,580, which shows a gain of 3.21%, as the Bitcoin price plumbed to $37 before recovering to above 38k at the moment. This indicates Ehtereum continued to rise in price over the last week when Bitcoin made a $42k stop.
As the Ethereum network prepare for another hard fork on the 5th of this month lots of analyse including myself think that we are heading for another ethereum bull market.
As of now, the effect of Ethereum's upgrade can be seen effective as its value keeps on rising after it. It has now exceeded $3k once again and we can look forward for another ATH soon if ever the upgrade will be more effective as time passes by. Those who chose to hold their ETH before are surely gaining much benefit at the moment nevertheless we should not be too complacent with what's happening. We should still take extra precautions on what may occur anytime, the upgrade is still fresh and it will take some time before we can really be certain that another Ethereum season has began.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum last forever? on: August 07, 2021, 03:12:56 PM
Ever since Ethereum was created in 2015, the whole crypto/Blockchain space improved in many ways that were never imagined. The ICO trend of 2017, and the current "De-Fi"/NFTs hype are all attributed to Ethereum's ever-rising popularity in the mainstream world. If it wasn't because of Ethereum, we wouldn't had a plethora of smart contract platforms to choose from. The crypto/Blockchain space would've been focused solely on finance, instead of serving as a hub for decentralized applications.

It's been 6 years since ETH came into inception, and now the smart contract platform is the second-largest blockchain network in the world. Some people compare ETH to BTC because of its focus on decentralization unlike any other cryptocurrency on the market today. As of this date, Ethereum has a large number of miners and nodes keeping the blockchain alive and healthy. If ETH continues to grow, it could live alongside Bitcoin for many years. But we all know that nothing lasts forever.

What's your opinion on this? Will Ethereum last forever? Or will it eventually die? Do you think it'll retain its place as the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap for long? If not, why? Do competitors stand a chance against ETH? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
When it comes to predicting Ethereum's future cannot be distinguished right away just like with any other coin. Nevertheless, it will more likely go where bitcoin will be in the next few years. As bitcoin is seen as a currency that might last forever, therefore Ethereum has a high probability of surviving too in the near future. Actually, if we were to wonder if a certain coin would last forever, we cannot really affirm it since we'll be dead by that time for sure. For now, let us appreciate Ethereum's success and make the most from it while it lasts.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: Can developing countries follow El Salvador use Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2021, 01:30:50 PM
I don't think it would be ideal for other countries regardless if it is a developing one or not to follow El Salvador's footstep right away. It would be best if they would first observe and analyze the function of bitcoin so that they may know if it can give their country an advantage or cause detrimental effects later on. It indeed made a huge noise around the world as El Salvador becomes the very first country to legalize bitcoin as a legal tender but the effects or the outcome of their decision cannot be visible yet and even other countries are surely observing over it right now or ever since they started it.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin in the highest level of trust? on: August 07, 2021, 12:56:49 PM
For the longest run, bitcoin was able to build trust from many people and it is very evident as its investors and users grows massively each day. It has a reputation that it was able to protect regardless of all the issues people throw at it and after being the top cryptocurrency from the very beginning, it was able to shut its doubters and haters and made them regret. Bitcoin is incomparable and it is without a doubt the best cryptocurrency ever made with consideration with the lives it was able to change and the success it was able to achieve.
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: August 06, 2021, 05:52:44 PM
Bitcoin is now rising, and it has jumped by 3k in less than 10 minutes. Although everyone is happy but also worried, is it going to fall again?
My friend asked if I can continue to buy it? But I see a lot of people commenting that giant whales are now controlling the market. I told my friends not to enter the market for now, but my friends seem to have misunderstood me.
Do you think that this kind of market should be forbidden to enter or continue to buy?
I suggest not to panic selling。
With such matter, you should let your friend analyze and speculate the situation himself and afterwards, guide him with his decsion so that you wouldn't be the one to blame once the worst happens. As long as you are just simply telling them about bitcoin and you are not exerting any force for them to invest, your friend will surely be satisfied or contented with his decision. You can give advices and information on what's been happening in the market hence the only thing you shouldn't do is forcing them or using them as a guinea pig to see if it is really a good time to invest.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven? on: August 06, 2021, 05:15:37 PM
Bitcoin has a very volatile value that's why investments on it is very risky. If you are looking for a safe have for your money, bitcoin can still be considered as one as long as you know how. If you are looking forward on keeping your money without experiencing any loss, then you should go to the banks instead because when you invest in bitcoin, there will always be a chance thsmat you would lose some money and at the same time, gain if it is in a good shape. In the future maybe, bitcoin can be considered as a safe have an is it gets more developed for everyone's benefit.
91  Other / Politics & Society / Re: You will not need to work until 2030 because you will have enough money on: August 06, 2021, 04:51:18 PM
You will not need to work until 2030 because you will have enough money

You will not need to work until 2030 because you will have enough money to live and buy anything around the world comfortably. Everything will be done by AI robots, You don't even have to hire freelancers for many projects۔ Human ideas and thoughts will change. Man will be compelled to think that there are infinite resources in the world from which every human being can benefit as much as he wants. Man will be forced to think that everyone should live freely and voluntarily. The minds of criminals will be controlled with the help of artificial intelligence and the internet and prisons will be emptied. There will be no need for prisons at all. Those who have always stayed away from cryptocurrency trading will get free support from projects like Elon Gate.
It is never easy to make an assumption on what may happen in the future specially right now that a virus has existed that prevented the world from innovating or progressing. On the other hand, there's a high plausibility that those who ignored cryptocurrency's existency will surely regrey in the future if ever things works out well for it. The existence of AI machinery will surely aid and replace man power as they appear to be more productive and unlike with humans, it does not get exhausted. If you really want to live a prosperous life in the future, start earning and investing to crypto and always persevere on it.
92  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What motivates you to start investing in cryptocurrency? on: August 06, 2021, 04:20:25 PM
It all started with a dream of escaping poverty. I live in a third world country wherein escaping poverty was never an easy thing to do considering how few the opportunities there are. As a friend of mine introduced me into cryptocurrency, I was hesitant at the beginning but as he showed me evidence on how profitable it can be, I started dedicating most of my time on it. I managed to make my family financially stable even though I was still a student at that time and I was able to escape poverty for real that's why I will forever be grateful with that friend of mine.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This Year Crypto Red Like a Blood on: August 06, 2021, 04:00:49 PM
We should actually be prepared by now considering how it went out during the 2018 bull run. A lot were very excited and earned profits that exceeded their expectation during that time but as the bear market takes place, the value of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies went down continuously for many years. Ever since the bull run last year, I became more anxious because I am already expecting that when the bear market happens, it would take a very long time before it can recover once again. I will more likely be holding my investment because I know the bull market will come again and the patience I gave will surely be worth it.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Coins? on: August 06, 2021, 03:35:28 PM
is it a joke or what?
i personally dont think that its a real deal to go up with.
Rumors that Dogecoin is like bitcoin yet i dont see many websites using it. is there any earn-money site paying in dogecoins?
We can clearly see how much dogecoin has grown ever since Elon Musk advertised it. From being a memecoin, it has become a potential coin yet making a comparison or saying that it is like bitcoin is way too delusional for its believers. Bitcoin and dogecoin's gap is way too big for people to say that both are alike. If it weren't only for the advertisement of a billionaire, dogecoin wouldn't reach where it is right now. There's nothing wrong with believing on a certain coin you are currently investing to but still you should not compare it to other coins specially if its trend has just began rising recently.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: August 06, 2021, 03:09:51 PM
It would highly depend on their area of expertise. If a person has a lot of experience and has good hand in stock market as well as wins over the risk he usually makes, therefore he is much happier as a stock investor than being a bitcoin investor. If someone is really good at picking coins with much potential and has a great timing of buying and selling, he is much happier being a bitcoin investor instead. You are the one who sets the standard of happiness you usually achieve so do what you love and give your best to it and it will surely pay off making you the happiest now and in the future.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: some people uneducate about Bitcoins on: August 06, 2021, 02:43:44 PM
5 years ago I heard about Bitcoins  some feedback are good but some of them are negative

Untill now In my country if you say/discuss about Bitcoins expect that their response are negative.

Why does some people always say negative about Bitcoins?

1. Lack of knowledge about Bitcoins, uneducate People only saw the negative sides of Bitcoins.
2. Some of them say negative feedback because of their experience on some sites about Bitcoins,  because now a days Bitcoin are popular but there are many site will scam you if you are spontaneous to invest in not trusted sites.

Other than what you've mentioned with regards to why people tend to uneducate other with regards to bitcoin, it can also be because they are trying to promote other investment platforms or cryptocurrencies. They try to ruin bitcoin's reputation through spreading false information that is mostly deemed detrimental for the individual listening. As they still exist, we should take on the responsibility of straightening and correcting the things being defined to bitcoin. Whenever we see one trying to uneducate, let us argue with them with supporting evidence so that we will win other people's belief.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: once again the market is trying to break the resistance on: August 05, 2021, 04:51:18 PM
You know right now the market is trying to recover. this can be seen from the price of bitcoin which rose to 38k, followed by ethereum, bnb and other large altcoins which experienced a significant increase today. once again bitcoin tries to break the resistance, after several failed attempts. here's another chance to break the 40k price tag. so does ethereum, last week ETH fell below 2k. but the situation did not last long and the price shot up to its current price. if the situation is favorable whether the market will start another rally.
For sure, there will be instances where we can see and feel that the market is trying to break the resistance but most of the time, it is much more expected that the value of bitcoin and other cryoto will play along a certain price range. The fact that the market is always attempting to make a move out of its stable low value shows us how much potential it holds and it give us more reason to trust our investments on it. Another bull run may happen somewhere near the future so holding, no matter how low the value goes, do not ever sell or else you will surely regret it a lot.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Trade On Emotions on: August 05, 2021, 03:56:22 PM
It is one of the golden rule that we fail to recognize and remember in investing, do not let your emotions take over your decision making. It will only lead you to regrettable choices which will soon be felt as you witness good things happening for bitcoin. Always make sure that it is your head that is processing or deciding for your investment may it be during a bear market or even during a bull market. Emotions tend to deceive you and highlight the current situation without even considering what may happen in the future that is why your head should always analyze all the possibilities before finally making a decision.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: EU wants to ban crypto anonymous transactions and wallets on: August 05, 2021, 03:05:20 PM
This I believe may affect Bitcoin, at least as we know it so far:

"In particular, the EU would ban anonymous crypto asset wallets, according to an EU fact sheet, with the European Commission saying that systems like Bitcoin should be governed by the same rules as regular bank wire transfers."

In other words, for each transaction they want to identify the user who sends and the user who receives the transaction, which is easy if one of the parties is a registered exchange user. If the other party is not identified, the transaction is blocked.

I don't know how those who have their funds in hardware wallets and don't want to identify themselves would be. I suppose that at least they would be very limited in their ability to send funds. And then banning anonymous wallets is another blow to privacy.

I don't know what you think about how this could end up.

Europe covers a lot of powerful countries that makes up huge impact towards crypto for the past years. If ever this is made possible and gets accepted as a law, it will make a significant change towards bitcoin's value which will more likely be detrimental. Though that's the case, there is no guarantee yet that it will be passed by the government but we should stay updated so that we may know what trend might occur as it takes place. Always make sure that you are well aware of the happenings with regards to crypto, it is a very important task of an investor specially when it is dealing with huge and rich countries.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As of today, Google ads for Bitcoin are no longer banned. on: August 05, 2021, 01:25:41 PM
As to what has been predicted before, bitcoin will experience temporary ban towards some huge companies but later on, things will get back to how it was before like nothing ever happened. Now it has happened, google are no longer banning ads that involves bitcoin and Tesla has been rumored to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment once again. It could be one of the sign that a bull run is about to take place once again so we should hold on to our investments more and keep on believing that it will regain its value or exceed it far more than it has before.
