81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Reasons You Should Know More Before Buying Bitcoin (BTC) on: November 06, 2020, 08:48:52 PM
Out of all your points, only two doesn't fit to be there, which are 3 and 5.
3 is a bit of a disadvantage to people that are used to the centralised financial system. While point 5 is the reason some newcomers think bitcoin is a get rich quick thing. It can boost bank balance and also male it empty if one is not being cautious about the market.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Bitcoin Banks of 2020 on: November 06, 2020, 07:58:28 PM
Well, the list is short and we hope more institutions embrace it. But have it in mind that these are financial institution which are being monitored by government bodies. Always prepare for issues from government because they'll try to make things centralised.
Even if they have their own blockchain, they can't be 100% trusted for saving funds, they are third party and third parties aren't supposed like them will give a lot of terms.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Say Bitcoin is scam on: November 06, 2020, 06:48:39 PM
It's 12 years since Satoshi released Bitcoin whitepaper and since then, the numbers of believers have been increasing. Which turns out that it's good.
Cryptocurrency is freedom, and who doesn't?
Decentralization isn't scam. It's open source. It's the best gift. Only a person without proper understanding will think it's a scam.

And that is indirectly saying that the OP has no proper understanding.  Tongue If you will look at his post history, he has some bitterness to bitcoin or crypto but wonder why he is still here wasting his time, if he doesn't believe in bitcoin. Anyway, we don't have to assume that bitcoin is scam because it is not. Plain and simple.
Member like OP are very easy to spot. I didn't even check post history. It's just bad energy coming from OP. Guess OP had a bad experience lately.
In my opinion everything could be a scam, even bitcoin, bitcoin was born as a decentralized cryptocurrency.

Does this mean you're in support of OP that bitcoin could end up being scam?
If Bitcoin is scam, then what about the fiat? What about the financial system?
Decentralization is the best thing to happen in this century.

85  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let us discuss on hacked exchanges on: November 05, 2020, 07:26:24 PM
Hackers are always targeting big exchanges. Reason why it's risky to leave keep funds on exchanges. Even email and password getting exposed is bad just like the coinmama exchange hack that happened. Do not use same password for your email and exchange account. Always use different password. Enable extra layers of security on your email and keep your exchange secured too.
86  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Complete Guide for Beginners on: November 05, 2020, 12:51:41 PM
This is such a good information to share. Site is very simple with good UI.
Newbies can learn some important things from there.
The Meet up section, hardware, podcasts, conferences, store tool and books are my favourites. Newbies will learn a lot at the book part.
Will definitely spend more time on the site.
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it wise to deposit $ 100 in bitcoin before the united states vote? on: November 04, 2020, 02:36:18 PM
Judging the the profit/loss percentage, I don't think it will have much impact on that amount. 100$ is small to make profit with and it also becomes a big amount when lost.

As for the election, I don't think it's going to have any negative impact on the price of BTC and it does, it can't be much. At the moment, the price if BTC is doing fine and might just dip a little.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years after Bitcoin whitepaper was released on: November 04, 2020, 06:58:28 AM
What do you mean by "Bitcoin treated everyone equally"?Bitcoin is not a company or a person.

I think what's meant by that statement is that BTC means equality. Sure that BTC isn't a company, but with BTC, we all enjoy same fee(depending on wallet), both old and new users. Bitcoin brought the financial revolution which is unstoppable and have also attracted the attention of institutions, both government and private.
Let's hope more companies like PayPal will see the bright side of cryptocurrency and this will drive the adoption across the globe.
89  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mobile wallet for newbies? on: November 03, 2020, 05:55:43 PM
There are multiple wallet choices

If you're looking for bitcoin wallet, you can choose Electrum or Mycellium wallet. Mycellium gives you segwit and legacy address. But if you're looking for a multi wallet, go for Trust wallet. It supports coins like BTC, ETH (including ERC-20 tokens) BNB and some others.
Do not leave your coin on exchange, it's not safe there.
90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How and where invest 500€ on: November 03, 2020, 12:07:00 PM
In my opinion, divide your money into four coin- Polkadot, Binance coin, Social Good, Riodefi.

You will find all of them in CMC. but remember it is your money, so do research as much as you can.
I'm not surprised you didn't include coins with good marketcap. You are just shilling your coins here. No one is going to buy them.
I'd advise OP to invest in top coins with huge market cap and better usecase.
Don't make mistakes most beginners make when they got into cryptocurrency. Don't invest in HYIP and don't give money to anyone that tells you they are professional traders.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Tutorial] Making your crypto inheritible on: November 03, 2020, 05:21:05 AM
Thanks for sharing this method. Argued about this last week in a thread. The method is good but if death happens sooner than expected, the loved one might not receive and use it when it's needed. If there's more advanced method to access the coin incase one dies before the lock period is over, I'd love to hear it.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DeFi is high risk investment on: October 30, 2020, 08:48:39 PM
No team, no whitepaper, no roadmap, no professionalism, just bunches of anonymous members in tg groups with little or no idea about smart. You risk losing your funds if you invest with such group of people. They are just like lending coins.
So risky. It's better to avoid
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin reach $20k fee will be huge? on: October 30, 2020, 06:49:54 PM
Sure thing the fee is going to increase.
Remember in 2017, when BTC was around 1k, transaction fee was cheap and transaction confirms within minutes. But during/after the bullrun, the confirmation time was slow because there more transaction. Transactions with high fees were priority to miners.
Now imagine when price goes above 20k, there will be more transactions and the chain will be more congested, leading to high fees
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not needed but only for investment purposes on: October 30, 2020, 05:38:48 PM
With the way it isn't legalized in most countries, the real use case (payments) won't be put to use. It's only going to be used as mean of investment. It has always been about making profits right from start. Even the OGs only boast of the profit they make trading.
It's volatility has attracted people to want to make profit from it knowing well that it could lead to lose.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe this is the way on: October 29, 2020, 08:50:30 PM
It takes a lot of analysis to be able to make profit in the crypto space. Newly listed coins on big exchanges performs poorly most of the time. Coins keep dipping when you think you've bought the dip. Fake pump and all. Exchange manipulation.

If it was this easy, we would all be rich by now.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ARE NO LONGER VIABLE on: October 29, 2020, 06:46:49 PM
Defi tokens doing airdrops is the most ridiculous thing. They create token, create telegram group and conduct airdrop. Then they go on and edit their contract address to uniswap and then they listed for trading. After little volume, they dump all they have. It's lose for those that provided liquidity and those that bought the coin. No team, no whitepaper, just Uniswap and liquidity.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Missed the golden opportunity, now what?? on: October 29, 2020, 04:27:49 PM
You would still make your own big success story if you don't give up just like the early miners that are still holding unto bitcoin. There are still some milestones which BTC is yet to cross and that could make you success story come true if you are positive.

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 6 DeFi projects to watch in 2020 🎯 on: October 28, 2020, 09:58:27 PM
The era of DeFi is already running out. It's obvious that any coin can be listed and start trade on uniswap by just adding contract address. It's a decentralized exchange and many haven't realized this, mostly the airdroppers.

Attention have now been shifted on back to coins with potentials and usecase. I'm not saying any of those you listed is useless. Just the hype is annoying.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 28, 2020, 07:09:43 PM
When it gets to money, humans tend to change even with little amount of money.
I'd firstly educate them on what cryptocurrency and carry them along. Then I'd know the one that serious with crypto and if it's all of them, then I distribute the secret key among them so they can put it together when it's needed
