First, there was a foul on James right in front of Taylor, second, Silva, who cleared the cross, was more than 10 seconds ahead of Cucurella and Halaand, and third, both Cucurella and Halaand clutched each other's jersey, and Halaand fell softly. Only Anthony Taylor will make such a call that early in the game.  With Anthony Taylor there is always controversy. He hate us and everyone knows.
You are lucky that Chelsea were able to draw the game, else this penalty decision would have been much talked about but it will not mean anything because it will already be too late for Chelsea. It would have been another case of bad officiating and decisions after that Newcastle and Arsenal game. That penalty was cheaply given, it should not have if you asked me.

Halaand and Salah's masterpiece saves the gameweek.

You are very lucky to have Salah and Haaland on your team. Next GW will be both players against each other.
802  Other / Meta / Re: What's AI Written Post? on: November 14, 2023, 08:31:50 PM
AI writing post against forum policy?
Using AI to write on forum removes the originality that a forum is meant to have, and if it permitted, it will make discussions in forum sound very inorganic. You don't have to be under the pressure of trying to impress when you write on the forum, because that is when you can be tempted to want to do extra and use AI. It is bad, and is not a pattern that should be encouraged.

What are the pros and cons of using AI writing systems?
Since we are discussing AI, let me think out loud! what are the chances that if the same AI tool write on a topic asked by two users, what are the chances to provide the two users two different write ups on the same exact topic?

I laughed so hard at the ignorance and foolishness of these claims. I say it again the government and some people who either feel threatened by bitcoins or do not like bitcoins for some reasons will choose to believe anything and hold on to any reason just to make them have an alibi. What is even funny is that some of the people behind these claims say that they are educated, but yes! Not all educated are educated. You are educated when you are able to find out information and verify information on your own, some of these people have never tried to verify their claims by research to know if they are true, they are just holding on to them. They are not different from the uneducated.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ? on: November 14, 2023, 08:28:07 AM
What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ?  Where will this figure be if we consider worldwide users ? I think it will be somewhere between 10-20% ?
Do you mean bitcoin investors who gamble with bitcoins specifically? or just bitcoin investors who gamble via the conventional means?
It will be difficult to get an accurate figure, but by my assumptions, the number of bitcoin investors who gamble with bitcoins is less than the number of investors in bitcoins who gamble with fiat.

Also, it is possible that most of gamblers are still not bitcoin investors ?
There have always been gamblers even without bitcoins, but I take it that you mean to say it is possible that some people who gamble with bitcoins are not investing in bitcoins for the long term. I agree with you, but it is a very small number because not everyone has bitcoins for investment reasons.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every man you failed to lecture about Bitcoin can be a victim to scam on: November 13, 2023, 07:23:39 PM
No matter how much you tell others to do their research about Bitcoin some are not very good at it, call it illiteracy or other but it is what it is, should we start turning those who are not so good with finding answers away? Is that a right thing to do? I don't even know why I am feeling bad for this person, I could have saved him though.
If you send a newbie to go do their own research, it should be for self verification sake, that is to verify the information you have given to them, and also in a bid to help them adopt the culture of always verifying the information they receive from anyone by doing their own research. It will not be good to send a newbie who is clearly interested in bitcoins to go find out the information about it themselves when you are aware that there are many scammers and fake information on the internet about bitcoins. If you do not have the time for it, just try to schedule a time for it, and also caution them about taking any information they receive from another source as serious or true without verification.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 11, 2023, 08:53:49 PM
So if a gambler where to go into bitcoin trading, do you think that the experience of taking risk in gambling will be an added advantage to face the risk of bitcoin trading?
The only advantage is they would be able to worry less when they loose money trading because they are already used to the concept of loosing money. It may also feel different because while gambling involves having fun and loosing money, there is no fun loosing money to trading.

A gambler can be a good trader if they take the time to learn to trade properly either by themselves or preferably from experts with more experience than them.
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: November 11, 2023, 08:46:31 PM
At least Saka played - but looks like a terrible round in the making for me.
No Ben White and No Martin Ødegaard in the game, I did not expect much from Havertz who has barely been able to fill into the shoes of Martin Ødegaard and do for Arsenal what Martin Ødegaard does for us.

Tottenham lost, Pedro scored the only goal, and a potential 13 point week was squandered in 90+ minutes; Son has another blank week;
No James Maddison to thread in neat passes for Son to Chase.

Newcastle United is losing 2-nil to fucking Bournemouth after disorganizing Manchester United and Arsenal.
Newcastle players have had a very busy past few weeks with the many tough games they have had to play both in the premier league and cha, pions league. They looked Fatigued to me.

Liverpool and Arsenal have terrible defences, but I doubt Mbuemo would score against them.
It cannot be my Arsenal you Chelsh*t supporter Cheesy

If you saw the Arsenal against Manchester City game, you will see how close the defense of the both teams were. Even Doku who is very fast and good in 1v1 situations could not complete a dribble.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: November 10, 2023, 05:01:43 PM
What happened to Estu last night? After spending a long period on the sidelines due to injury, he came on in the second half and played for 15 minutes before leaving injured again.
He played for 12 mins, three minutes less Cheesy I blame the coach, maybe he should not have played Estupinan when they were already two goals ahead and could have managed without him since he was just new from injuries.

It is no concern of mine though, I had him before and earned me some good points in some GW, but I am not going back to him even if he recovers.

Latest news from Arsenal and Arteta is that Saka should be fine after the few knocks he received last night against Sevilla which saw him subsequently subbed off.
We are in urgent need of another player to share the role with Saka so he can rest more often since he is becoming a target for defenders and now more likely to get injured. Arteta needs to get another player in the next window.
810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know how to use Fundamental and Technical Analysis on: November 10, 2023, 04:37:29 PM
Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis are not inherently better than each other.
Knowledge and mastery of both analytical methods will greatly increase a traders chances of success. A trader who focuses on technical analysis will have results but not as good and consistent as it would have been had they known fundamental analysis. A trader who focuses on Fundamental analysis alone and not technical analysis will even make greater mistakes and errors in trading that will lead to losses. I personally feel that  both are necessary to know, but technical analysis is the most important. You can place a trade by just technically analyzing the charts and profit from the trade better than when you only rely on news and events to make a trade.
811  Economy / Economics / Re: Being rich = not looking at price tag on: November 10, 2023, 03:50:05 PM
I often read people saying they want to earn enough money so they don't have to look at price tag of product. Imo, even if you are rich you wouldn't want to spend money on things that are not worthy of price being paid.
What they mean is that they want to earn enough money not to concern themselves with the price of anything they like because they can afford it and any other luxury that they desire.

You wanna look at product and then it's price, if it's worthy of price, you purchase the product.
Very rich people do not always buy things because it is worth the price, they buy things because they first like it.

You can sell a plain white t-shirt to a rich man at a price different from what you will sell to someone in a lower financial class. To the rich person, they may not care about the cost because they really like the T-shirt and need it, but a person who is not so rich will think twice and want to try to get something cheaper if he perceives that the T-shirt is too expensive for him.

Rich people who are very calculative in spending are the rich people who worked hard and hustled to be where they are, rich people who were born into wealth calculate less because they have no idea what it means to struggle.
812  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Start now or later? on: November 10, 2023, 03:32:19 PM
3. For someone from a country with unstable grid power can we still mine Bitcoin and still be in profit?
I stay in a country with very bad power supply, unstable and unpredictable at the same time. The cost of electricity has not reduced under these conditions, but in fact has increased in price, the cost of gasoline and diesel to even run generators is very high right now too because the subsidy that the government pays for these products has been withdrawn. To have constant and a steady supply of electricity, you have to likely operate off grid with like solar panels, and that will cost a lot to set up.

A stable and cheap source of power should amongst the first considerations of someone who wants to start mining bitcoins.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Treating bitcoin as a teenager. on: November 10, 2023, 03:10:26 PM
Learn to treat bitcoin like a teenager that's just coming up and still has its future ahead of it and stop the unequal comparison with other financial instruments like gold that have been around for decades.
If you create something new, and form a business around marketing that thing, within a ten year window, if that product or new creation is not selling, it is usually seen as a failure. Many people see bitcoin like that and so because bitcoin has been in existence for more than ten years, they consider bitcoin a failure. It is a wrong impression they have about bitcoins because asides treating bitcoin as a teen, bitcoin is something that is revolutionizing, and totally against the long financial systems that took time to establish. We should not expect it to be very successful at once when it was not created by the government. We should however celebrate the little successes that it is achieving because it is all accumulating to something huge.

815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: November 09, 2023, 11:24:25 PM
We can't question the decision of the VAR rather I think the activities of the VAR should be checked always to ensure they don't keep making mistakes that will make football lovers not to trust their decisions again.
There have been a few erroneous decisions influenced by VAR, some for which there was apology, the others no apology. For that purpose, and people now knowing how possible that is, there is now little believe in the decisions second checked by VAR. Liverpool supporters will talk about why they do not think their last minute goal should not have been canceled, but the decision did not take the referee time to decide, so if analyzed by professionals, it should be the right decision. Liverpool is one of the team that people expect should win this Europa competition and give Sevilla a challenge for it, this loss to Toulouse which was unexpected by them is a reminder to always take every game seriously regardless of the team they play in this competition.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 09, 2023, 05:35:42 PM
What impact does the BTC price have on your play (gambling both in casino/sports betting/binary options etc)?

Real and core gamblers careless about the price of Bitcoin when they want to gamble, their only concern is if they have the bitcoins to gamble with. If they have bitcoins to fund their account with, they are good to go. The passive gamblers, that is people who gamble less often like me will be concerned about the price of bitcoins because we are not used to loosing to gambling and any bitcoin we loose during a time when bitcoin is performing well will hurt very much.
817  Economy / Economics / Re: How Much Does Food Cost in Your Country? on: November 09, 2023, 04:59:46 PM
The cost of a standard meal in my country depends on where you are having the meal, which is your location. So I will give cost for comparison under a well packaged restaurant where you can buy and eat your food there, and then a road side food vendor, where you just buy your food and take it home.

I will use our popular menu white rice and Chicken Tomato stew, spaghetti and then Beans, soft drinks which are common meals and drinks in the menu of the well packaged restaurants and the road side vendors.

Well Packaged Restaurant
Cost of a plate of white rice and Chicken Tomato stew - $6.23
Cost of a plate of Spaghetti and a protein of your choice - $6.23
Cost of a plate of Beans - $1.12 per portion, the more portions you need, the more the price.
Cost of soft drink - $1.25

If someone buys food three times daily for 30 days (3 x $6.23 x 30), that is a total of $560.7 which means that you have to be earning way more than the minimum wage to afford three meals a day for thirty days in a well packaged restaurants.

Road side food vendor
Cost of a plate of white rice and Chicken Tomato stew - $1.25
Cost of a plate of Spaghetti and a protein of your choice - $1.25
Cost of a plate of Beans - $0.37 for a small size, price increases if you want more.
Cost of soft drink - $0.31

If someone buys food three times daily for 30 days (3 x $1.25 x 30), that is a total of $112.5, which is above the minimum wage, so someone who earns the minimum wage or less will not be able to afford three meals per day for days, they will have to starve on some days.

Minimum wage as at 1st September 2023 was increased officially from $41.10 to $80.95 on paper, but some people are still receiving the old rates of $41.10 and some even less than that because some employers do not care about minimum wage.

818  Economy / Economics / Re: "I saw my salary on a bottle of perfume today" on: November 09, 2023, 12:34:08 PM
~
People are not on the same level financially, so this should not be too surprising. The salary that someone is okay with receiving is same amount of money someone somewhere gives out to charity, or spends partying, all fingers will never be equal.

For the person in the story who was surprised seeing what he earns on a perfume bottle, he should take it as a motivation to try to earn more and not something depressing.

In this life, you only get the things you want, and will get more if you want more. It is possible to earn whatever salary you deserve if you work for it. People who are earning the minimum wage and even less, and are okay with what they earn will never earn more. If they want more and work to that target, they will get more. This is why people should always set high target for themselves in life, and never get too content with their position in life that they stop thriving to be better and do better.
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wedding expenses and party celebrations with Bitcoin money. on: November 09, 2023, 07:07:42 AM
I also did one of the most important things of my life with the money I earned from my investments. My most important job is to get married. I got married in a family and all wedding expenses and wedding party arrangements were done with my bitcoin investment money. In the country where I live, $1400 is about 2 lakhs money, which can cover the entire cost of a wedding. If I hadn't invested in Bitcoin I might not have seen this happy day and party with my friends. Writing about bitcoin and bitcoin forums may never end.
Congratulation @OP and Happy married life. This is a good testimony on how the volatility of bitcoin has profited an investor who had a target. I say you deserve to make profit from bitcoins because of the consistent behavior you have developed of investing in cryptocurrency.

Two things to note from your testimony.

- Your investment in bitcoins is what made you profit enough to consider getting married since you could afford the cost, not your investment in altcoins.

- You invested enough in bitcoins to make good profit from it, not just small small money. As newbie investors, you have to be aggressive in your approach to invest in bitcoins because you are actually late investing to follow the advice of "take things easy". To benefit well from the halving, invest heavily in bitcoins if you have the financial opportunity to.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: November 09, 2023, 05:44:27 AM
Haven't decided which game from late slot to watch. Arsenal - Sevilla should be fun, have over 2.5 goals on this game, but expect that it will be easy for Arsenal.
I never write off Sevilla, but it was a masterclass from Arsenal yesterday against them. Sevilla even with how aggressive they play could not stop Arsenal from scoring in the first half and second. I was a bit worried with no Odegaard, No Nketiah due to injuries, but we still were able to maintain the pressure we put on Sevilla. Martinelli had a feast with Juanlu in RB for Sevilla, Martinelli won most of the 1v1 situations he had against him, and that strongly increased Arsenal's chances.

Saliba is really a Rolls Royce, he is just too good for his age.

I worry for Saka though, he is now a target to most defenders, and usually roughly marked. He is not an injury prone player, but with the level of tackles he is receiving, I hope things don't go sideways for him.
