Well, if we don't start going up today, we'll go up tomorrow, and if not tomorrow, the day after..... I've decided to take the "it's all cool" approach  Wink

Absolutely love this. This is quite possibly my favourite post.

The chikun broke up, let's see how much this influences bitcoin.

What does this mean? Up?

Different EW theorists have varying wave counts. One Elliott Wave count that is as reasonable as any is by Paul Gordon of Coinscrum, who believes we are now in Primary Wave 3 of Grand Cycle I with a projected high of $9304.

Wow, I damn sure hope we're en route to getting into wave 3, that'd be a hell of a sight & very profitable for many of us.

This is pretty much one of MasterLuc's predictions

Edit. By the way LFC well done on the legendary

This is a very harsh thing to say on a Monday morning here in the U.K. ^^^^

can't you just be bullish. At least wait a few more hours.
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2017, 01:08:23 PM
That ask side is looking pretty big and growing. What does that indicate?

So basically someone or something is keeping us from going up. This right?
807  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF happening to the price on: January 07, 2017, 11:21:48 AM
Its hasn't been more than 1 day since i checked the price at @ $1010+ how did it get to @ $875 -?!!? BitcoinPriceBump

Youve just been given the perfect opportunity to buy the dip. I havent seen any news to suggest anythibg has  happened in pacticular , maybe a whale cashed out but i wouldnt be too worried, imo it will retrace back up towards where it was and beyond.

I believe there was some news from China's government or something like that. Not a ban but something saying crypto currencies aren't protected.

I could be wrong on that last bit but yes, it was negative government news from china supposedly

This really is not a pleasant place to be at the moment hey.

Real blood on the streets.

really? seems fine to me. the rise was a little silly and unrealistic. anyone shocked by this hasn't been paying enough attention the last few years. let's see what the rest of this month brings before getting gloomy.

Don't get me wrong. I bought at the lowest or near to lowest point over the last few years and hodl long term so I am more than ok but I always get a bit gloomy at these times. Hey ho, HODL on.

My bitcoins are only worth more than what they were worth less than a month ago ;(

True, but sentiment is extremely low. I am hodling as usual and won't sell anything as I am not a trader and do it have the trading knowledge but post after post....

Sub 800, sell now. 600 soon.

Not fun after such a great Christmas and New Year hey.

Edit. Also the man/woman creating nonsense dyslexic account names is back so we are all doomed. She/ he says so on each post.

Didn't ML predict this drop in January? I am pretty sure I saw that somewhere.

Always been confused by this and maybe someone can help.

How will bitcoin get to a high price if it can't do big jumps in price?

Surely slow and steady will take us tens and tens of years.

How can 10k (for example) be even remotely realistic any time soon?

Not trolling, just wondering your thoughts.

This is a good question, one that I have been thinking about.

Vinny Lingham predicts a slow and steady rise to 2k-3k during 2017. His judgement seems as good as anyone's to me. But I agree there's no way in hell we're gonna go slow and steady to 100k, or even 10k. And yes I'm thinking in log axis. Suppose price multiplies by 2.5 x per year. Five years of that would get us to 100k. But can you imagine that actually happening? Once that pattern establishes itself, someone who thinks in terms of years is gonna try to frontrun it and will be willing to buy at a premium, short term traders will see that happening, the price will go parabolic, everyone will know it's day traders responsible for the short term parabolic rise and will try to front-run them cashing out, big crash, and there you have it. So if it's truly going to the moon, I think it's safe to assume that it will be a volatile ride all the way to the top.

Hmm, that gives me an idea on how to model the magnitude of the swings. If you knew how many speculators there are (in terms of how much capital they are working with) and what time frames they are working in (long term investors or "long-termers," minute to minute day traders of "short-termers," and everything in between), and the first people to go long are the long-termers and the last to go long are the short term day traders, with the in between being the in between, then the parabolic rise ends when the progression from long termers to short termers runs out.

Incredibly interesting. Thank you for your input BTCtrader

Think percentages, not dollars.

Wasn't there insane increases percentage wise and the beginning to get going?

Fakhoury....how can a high price be seen soon without a bubble?

This confuses me.

Thanks my friend.
