8041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outlawed: Get Away from Bitcoin or Be Imprisoned! on: August 07, 2017, 02:09:43 PM
I would continue to use Bitcoin in case it is forbidden by any law in my country. Surely not from my home but it could be pretty easy to find a public place to use. Or a VPS from a country without such law. You can compare with Iran where any porn website is blocked in this country, even their government monitor VPN, etc but it still doesn't block the citizen to access it when they want
8042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase will now accept bitcoin cash on: August 04, 2017, 10:08:54 PM
Point taken
If I move funds back to coinbase will I have equal amount of bitcoin cash to withdraw if I chose to do so

LOL Are you serious? You think if you move the coins back to your Coinbase wallet right now you will be eligible to receive the promised BCC in Junuary? Wake up man, you are late. It is for people owning bitcoin before the August 1. Otherwise, everybody could send some bitcoin to their wallet Roll Eyes
8043  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Random Question about Blockchain and AI on: August 04, 2017, 09:14:29 PM
What about companies crawling the web to analyze human feelings? Then combining with the Blockchain is something else. But It is what LinuxOne does but without blockchain. It could be possible surely to use the blockchain technology but there will be not special benefit

8045  Economy / Economics / Re: Investments outside crypto on: August 04, 2017, 06:15:53 PM
Investing in Venezuela can be good if you buy a house or apartment, you can speculate on the real estate. Prices failed cheap. No need to buy a big house/apartment as you are not looking to live inside but just speculating. You can also make a group of 4-5 friends or family members, for example, each person investing 25% and later sharing 25% of the profits. So it gives you the opportunity to invest in real estate even if you don't have a lot of money. This country needs investors. It's like four or five years the country is in a serious economic crisis with the fall of oil prices. It's a huge part of the country's revenues, near 100%. On top of that the venezuelan media which most of the channels are private and controlled by the opposition-and foreigners aggravate this a priori on the country to discourage investments.

So sad because there is a lot of money to make in
8046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash (BCC) , beware Traders on: August 04, 2017, 05:10:56 PM
In a matter of hours, the price lost +50%. Give it a few weeks or a months max and you will see it nowhere on Coinmarketcap. Its destiny is the graveyard, I told it already, and I think I am ready to make a bet... 5$ max Grin
So far I wonder why exchanges don't enable deposit and withdraw, or what exactly are they waiting?
8047  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which exchanges allow fiat withdraw? on: August 04, 2017, 04:51:10 PM
There are a lot of exchanges allowing fiat withdraw, it just depends on what kind of documents you are ready or not to provide to verify your account. And also another point to consider is your location. For example, as a US citizen, I think Coinbase is the most convenient, a European would prefer Kraken as it's cheap. Here are a few I know about.

Coinbase https://www.coinbase.com/
GDAX https://www.gdax.com/
Bity https://bity.com/
Safello https://safello.com/ SEPA
Kraken https://www.kraken.com/ SEPA and Bank Wire Withdrawal
LiteBit https://www.litebit.eu/ SEPA
Cex.io https://cex.io/ you can sell Bitcoins for USD, EUR or RUB Withdrawals to payment cards, Bank transfer and SEPA
BitPanda https://www.bitpanda.com/ SEPA (It's not an exchange but I think it's good to mention it)
Bitstamp https://www.bitstamp.net/ SEPA and International withdrawals
8048  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Decentralised Web Data Mining. Thoughts? on: August 04, 2017, 03:56:04 PM
Nice project. I know a type of people who will be very happy to use such project and its advantages. Even for some companies it can be a resource much needed. A lot of companies use a lot of different data to take their decisions, I know that currently, it costs a lot of money and resources to extract data at an industry level
8049  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is it possible to claim BCC in Coins.ph wallet? on: August 04, 2017, 01:43:28 PM
There are a lot of exchanges that wont support BCC. Does anyone know what they are planning on doing with them? Those exchanges  are the custodians of our private keys and those BCC are rightfully ours. They should find a way to let us have them.

Your Bitcoins that you keep in any exchange or web wallet are not your bitcoin. You gave them to a website to keep them for you. You don't have the private key belonging to the wallet. No private key...No Bitcoin. It's like with money and bank: you don't own the money, you give it to the bank with a promise to return it back to you anytime you want, it doesn't mean the bank will always be able to return it to you
8050  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: August 04, 2017, 01:05:12 PM
Yesterday while using it I saw I got a bit of Bitcoin cash credited, I sent it to the Dustbin. I know it wasn't a lot but everything is good. This says, only today I discovered the "Night" mode  Roll Eyes
8051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Germany’s Largest Bitcoin Exchange Hands Over Customer Data Voluntarily on: August 04, 2017, 12:52:44 PM
Yes it's true there is no legal obligation to give data to police as it can only be requested by the courts. But it doesn't mean there is no legal obligation to not give data. In the company point of view (Bitcoin.de) It may be better to cooperate before this got escalated, and it can be done quickly. It's like to keep low profile before something happens, like a bad reputation for exemple. Sometime the fight can be lost before it starts

8054  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitwala - Pay Your Bills With Bitcoin in Europe on: August 03, 2017, 12:52:14 PM
Hello Bitwala
I have a question regarding your service. I have a wallet with you, but a user can only have 1 wallet. Is it a problem if I create another account to be able to use a second wallet? As both will have the same first name/last name (but the bank account details used only for one account)
8055  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mistertango - Bitcoin friendly European Bank Account + free MasterCard on: August 03, 2017, 12:35:00 PM
I know Mistertango since some time now. Good to see they finally decided to join Bitcointalk. Where were you all this time?  Cheesy
As you are here can I ask. Some French citizens have ID cards with expired date but the cards are still valids and legitimes. The Gov decided back in 2014 that the cards created before december 2013 will be still valid 5 more years. So a lot of us have a card with expired date on it for exemple 2013 june, but the card is valid until june 2018.
So my question is do you accept the case a french citizen with expired date on a card ? Fees are so cheap that I know a lot of people that will be very happy to use Mistertango as their main bank account

You can't expect foreign countries to accept out of date documents. In fact I looked it up as I often travel to Italy, a neighboring country of France, and I found out that Italy wasn't aware of this and could turn French people around at the border if they have only an out of date ID card. Following this I remade my card, and also keep a valid Passport on top.

The card is not really out of date... For example it's written 2014 but the card is valid up to 2019. And you are wrong there are several countries accepting those cards. And a lot that haven't give their position regarding accepting it or not... And since you mention Italy, I can tell you that you are wrong this country is one those countries accepting those French cards (source the French govt website and the Italy ministry foreign affairs website)

Since my previous post, I found that Lithuania is one of those countries refusing those outdated cards

Rumors from 4chan and Reddit, seriously? You should consider it with a grain of salt really! It worst than rumors on street by a jealous girl.
A site seizure, you can see it immediately as they upload their great image explaining the owner has been punished and the whois information are updated

8059  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitPicker.io - Instantly Compare Prices Across Multiple Exchanges! on: August 02, 2017, 05:41:37 PM
Nice theme you have, it gives a clean website. May I suggest one or two things:

-a multi cryptocurrencies converter from where the users enter a value and get as a result the equivalent in others cryptos. No need to convert in +800 cryptos but the most popular perhaps
- A table displaying the top 10-20 or 30 cryptocurrencies of the day. I know this can be done with coinmarketcap API

But this in separate pages of course, not displayed on the homepage, as currently the home page is cool to watch

Good luck with your website Smiley
8060  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: August 02, 2017, 05:05:04 PM
Yep, talking about recaptcha. For some reason it's really aggressive when logging into Cryptopia - I have to consistently solve more puzzles than with any other site.

Street signs are from all around the world, but all of the shopfronts show text in a South Americanish language. What's wrong with shopfronts elsewhere?  Tongue

(You may be able to tell I get hit with recaptcha a LOT... but I'm a fucking human. I think.)

If you are logged in a Google account, you don't need to click any image, just the "log in" button. As logged in a google account, you are considered clean and human in the eye of google. But still boring if each time you have to log in a google account to show you're not a bot Cheesy

As someone that has to be logged into 2 accounts on 2 machines almost permanently, i understand your pain, and sweet sweet release from recaptcha is already in test.

Thanks a lot for my sanity! I will wait to see the change with patience. I will be very happy
