7562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Robbery in Istanbul on: November 15, 2017, 08:54:02 PM
Yeah, don't tell anybody this kind of things. Even to your friend and family. Don't make yourself a target. It's how people owning gold get robbed at home. They tell it publicly, for example, a friend. Then the friend will repeat "oh I know someone with gold under the bed"

BTW, I don't get it with the private keys. The guy keeps the keys in his pocket or wallet or it's hidden in the car? lol
He surely was talking publicly and makes himself a target. It is something that needs to stay private.
7563  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: November 15, 2017, 05:01:10 PM
Yes, and those restrictions/verifications shouldn't bother you if you are really using these services for legitimate uses, such as remittance, salary and such.

It can bother people even those who are using those services for legitimate uses. As I said, It was less strict before and over the years they add verifications of all kind, up to take selfie or video call and so on. They don't invent new rules/laws for fun. They do because of abuses/misuses/frauds. And some are not able to meet their requirements.

I can give you an example. There is a service that I was using and all working fine and then a day they decided to add a new verification stuff. Need to send again ID card. And I can't, I have an ID card, of course, the card is valid but the date is expired, our gov. made some changes while back about it, so a lot of us have an ID card considered valid by the gov but the cards are showing an expired date. Hard to explain this to foreign companies, some countries accept and some not. In some countries, you can be fired back to your country for an illegal situation, like a refugee!

You can say: So what, get a new card. Yes, the problem is the gov doesn't want to provide us a new card as the old is still valid, so there is no need for their point of view. The only solution is going to the police and lie to them telling you got robbed and inventing a fake story, which no one, including myself, want to do.
It's just an example but I can give other examples as well. So you see, people with legitimate uses can be affected for all this
7564  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Which name would you chose ? on: November 15, 2017, 03:41:30 PM
I voted for Bitruby but after thinking twice I prefer Bitelk
Not easy to choose a good domain name, I don't know if those domains exist but as suggestions
Cryptoswap
Cryptotrade
Cryptoly
NeoTrade
CoinEx
TradEx
CryptoMarket

Good luck to your friend for his/her project.
7565  Economy / Speculation / Re: And We Are Back In The Game! on: November 15, 2017, 02:53:36 PM
Hope for the best. I knew it was better to wait for this week to see the price coming back. Now the question is how far will it go, or at least reach the ~$7800 that it had before this. In case it stabilizes to what it is currently, I am still happy with it. At least it's less volatile. Bitcoin becomes stronger and stronger with time. Like a good bottle of wine. xD

The price of bitcoin is not fixed. So up or down the price is natural.

Thanks man, nobody was aware of this. Have you understood what @iamTom123 was talking about?
He is referring to the decline of the Bitcoin value that was cause caused by the fork and attack.
7566  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: November 15, 2017, 02:23:56 PM
beware of cryptopia locking your coins and giving pathetic reasons such as "zero connections"

Currently they have locked millions in WAVES and tokens, and claim that waves platform is to blame, such horseshit. Every other exchange is able to use waves including Bittrex.
Waves is a top 25 CMC platform with working tokens across all exchanges...
Yet cryptopia are claiming they cannot withdraw any waves and holding millions of WAVES belonging to their users as hostage.

Do not use this exchange till this is resolved. They may suddenly decide to disable ETH or BTC too and claim its a problem with ETH itself.

Very poor tactics to hold users funds without any support.

Funny comment.
I saw a notice about this explaining everything going on. If you searched a little you could find it too for sure. Cryptopia is maybe the only exchange that I trust and they are really reliable (not like a lot of others). I can give them all my coins and sleep very well.
They have no reason to adopt a shady behavior. Saying that they may suddenly decide to disable ETH or BTC make me laugh Cheesy

When you see a problem with any site firstly check their news if they have any so you can get an answer faster than what you think. Then you can also check their social networks to see if there is an update. And then you can always contact them to ask a question.
7567  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken deposits and withdrawals disabled? on: November 15, 2017, 01:51:01 PM
Yesterday it was working fine (with some cloudfare pages here and there) But this morning I had the same problem. Sometimes getting the message "Feature Disabled" and sometimes a message telling me that I need to have a verified Tier 3 account to make a deposit, euh?.
An account verified Tier 2 is enough to make a deposit with crypto. There are a lot of bugs for some days with Kraken I hope it will be fixed asap because it becomes a nightmare to use it properly. Right now it seems working fine.
7568  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: November 15, 2017, 01:29:47 PM
Hi guys, I'm selling verified accounts (via escrow only) mentioned in this thread (Sogexia, Leupay, iCard, Glob-coin...) if someone is interested: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2360666

It's called frauding and It's the reason that over the years there are more and more restrictions/verifications to be able to use those type of services in peace. The one who struggles is the one trying to use them without trying to cheat. You and the one you are selling to can, in fact, have some problems with the justice in the long run.
I wouldn't be surprised if your fake accounts that you're trying to sell will not work or just a period of time, resulting in losing money for those buying this kind of fraud.
7569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is a fork? on: November 15, 2017, 01:12:44 PM
A fork is when you take the source code of a project and then create a new one from it independently. To make it short, It's when you clone a project to make another one with some changes.

The term applies to cryptocurrency but it can be about a browser, an operating system etc.
For example, Qupzilla is a fork of Mozilla, Mozilla is a fork of Seamonkey. Kubuntu is a fork of Ubuntu, and so on. It's just a term in software engineering

As related to Bitcoin you can read this to understand better what it's about: https://blog.coinbase.com/what-is-a-bitcoin-fork-cba07fe73ef1
7570  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken alternatives? (Kraken sucks!) on: November 14, 2017, 01:08:02 PM
It doesn't happen every day but from time to time usually, when there is a trend with the Bitcoin price so a lot of people are using the website at the same time, the server becomes very busy. I don't know why but it's true that since about a week it's almost every day, usually, I see those error once or twice a month. I had the case where I placed 4 times the same order
7571  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to translate a bounty thread on: November 14, 2017, 12:42:29 PM
How to translate bounty thread, ANN page

I want to translate another bounty campaign. That's campaign pay for translate Ann thread, whitpaper etc. I want to do this. Now how can i translate & edit??
Which software need for this.

Software? Are you serious? Do you think that people are looking to spend money to get a translation made with a software? With no sense grammar, syntax, etc. Better throwing money through the window directly.

How to translate bounty thread, ANN page
Have any video tutorial or artical with screenshot how to translate & how to submit this???
A video tutorial for what? How a video can be usefull to know how to translate?
Just read what people are asking and how to apply to the task, there is no need for a video to explain.
7572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help! I'm a beginner on: November 14, 2017, 12:32:17 PM
What are you looking to know exactly? You shall be more specific. But you can find a lot of pieces of information with a search engine to know more about and then ask here to people if there is something that you don't understand (how it works, how to do, etc...)
There are a lot of disscussions in the forum that you should spend some time to read as well.

1)  CPU and GPU Bitcoin mining is dead, you will never mine anything but dust and will never receive a
     payout from a pool.

2)  Bitcoin difficulty will adjust, meaning so will your income.  Difficulty long term trend has been a steady
increase for the last few years.  Of course difficulty could drop, it has before, but its rare when it does and
even more rare is a drop that is meaningful.

3)  Bitcoin miners in general produce significant heat loads and you will have to deal with it one way or
     another.

4)  Bitcoin miners can take significant electrical resources to power them.  You should know 100% if the
circuits powering your miners are rated for the load you're putting on them.  If you don't you should get
     professional assistance.

5)   Bitcoin miners in general are LOUD! As in vacuum cleaner to hair-dryer loud.
7573  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think bitcoin be bullish in 2018? on: November 14, 2017, 12:19:41 PM
I voted that bitcoin would reach $ 20,000 in 2018. If you look at the chart for 2017, you can conclude that the price will continue to grow in 2018

It doesn't make sense. Because the performance has been amazing so far for 2017 it doesn't mean it has to do too also for 2018.
Especially if you don't have an argument to explain why it could be. Following your logic so most of the stock option should do well for the next year no matter what will happen
7574  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Let's demand Kraken our bitcoin gold on: November 14, 2017, 11:33:16 AM
About 10 days ago they replied to a support ticket that they have no plan to support bitcoin gold and to give out the coins to people.
I am Ok with it, I am the only one to blame if I really wanted my bitcoin gold. I should have moved my coins from Kraken. And I somewhat understand that they don't plan to support it.
BTW, if they changed their mind, do keep up us updated with your ticket.
7575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the government or banks create their own crypto? on: November 13, 2017, 06:40:31 PM
Of course, they can, at least nobody is stopping them to do. For example, JP Morgan (if I am not wrong) created Quorum, based on Ethereum to provides private smart contract execution and is patented.

I don't remember exactly about their project but it's not a crypto designed for the average Joe but focused on companies related to the finance niche.

edit: found it https://www.jpmorgan.com/country/US/EN/Quorum
7576  Other / Meta / Re: Clicking LINK takes you out of forum!! on: November 13, 2017, 02:57:59 PM
When I asked about this long ago I have been told that this change was because of a vulnerability (or something like that)

7577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best domains for ICO? on: November 13, 2017, 12:58:52 PM
The domain extension doesn't matter much but I wouldn't use some of those exotic domain extensions if they are not relevant to my niche. As for example .bet if it is something related to gambling, (as someone posted above) but if it is a website about real estate it doesn't make sense as you can guess.

And for sure not anything related to free domains extension like .tk etc. At least, as a visitor, I wouldn't take the project seriously and close the tab asap.
7578  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken is down on: November 13, 2017, 12:40:42 PM
It works fine here. It happens often when there are too many people trying to use the site at the same time. I am tired that they still have not found something to resolve this recurrent problem. Sometimes you need 1 hour to make something that 4 or 5 clicks.

Nothing much to do other than to wait and to try later or to keep hitting F5
7579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchanger to convert tokens to ethereum on: November 13, 2017, 12:19:39 PM
Not all exchanges are using tokens it's up to you to follow the development of the ICO and to see where it is listed (which exchange to use to trade it). You can use coinmarketcap to save some time but again it's up to you to follow the project that you are taking interest in, and not just grab the free money.

There isn't much minimum to trade but of course, don't waste your time if it worth $0.000001. Regarding how long will it take to convert tokens to ETH it depends on the demand and the volume traded in the exchange.
There is no need for a detailed step by step. Just send your tokens to the exchange then trade it to BTC, ETH or whatever and that's it.
