821  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: January 24, 2014, 07:22:53 PM

So we've been getting a good deal of calls from clients inquiring about the the case parameters and rackmount/upgrade options. We also realize that we have two types of customers, guys that know how to operate CGminer and guys that don't. Period. This thread has gotten a lot better regarding the negativity and we'd like you guys to know that you we do hear your suggestions and we do take your advice from time to time.

That's why we're going to offer a few case options to customers which ordered the 1.2. We'll show them off next week of course but for the now, one case is the standard desktop lian li, a mod between the x900 and the A77, something in the middle.

The other option would be a rackmount case similar to bitmines coindesk that we all have already seen, those that see themselves putting this in a data center for example could benefit from that case more. Both cases come up slots for upgradable modules, and upgrade modules will be available for clients starting Feb 15th, we'll figure out pricing in a bit for that one.

Next week we'll send out the two (or maybe three) options via email to current clients and you'll be able to choose which is best for you and your orders assembly. Any feedback or suggestions is always appreciated, we'd like the community to get more involved as well.

Just an update: We're due to receive our full chip batch in next week. We received sample chips in a few weeks ago. Testing is positive and the board is running fine.

We've contracted a PCB/Computer contract manufacturing facility located in PA. They have been around for a long time, and are one of the leaders in the American electronic contract manufacturing market. They'll provide us with ability to streamline the assembly, surface mount, heat-sinks  mold (via their metal shop and glorious CNC machine) and several other areas where we may lack, like ISO certified and UL standard assembly of our miners. They're also currently assisting with streamlining the assembly processes of our smaller miners as well. And the 80's 128's and 180's are now down to a 14 day shipping lead time, and decreasing by 2 days or more each week.

Yes its another expense most wouldn't choose to do, but we feel keeping production of these miners local, rather than outsourcing everything to china like most, will pay off in the end. Everything, less our lian li cases and the chip is now produced in America, by Americans.

Speaking of our cases, yes they are expensive, and yes we could go with a cheaper case. In general Lian Li has been assisting us in modifying their existing cases to work for hashing boards and other components. And because of our bulk orders on the cases for the 1.2, they've given us a decent discount on the smaller cases as well. Also they are usually not purchased by the average joe because of their high price, allowing for a good amount of availability from local distributors as well.  That's why we use them.
Yes in general we have had issues with customer support due to our small staff which we've now expanded. Hopefully that wont be much of an issue anymore.

Streamlining these runs will allow to get back on track with our past orders and deliver future/current orders on the shipping dates we've promised. We expect to have miners out door within 7 to 10 days from the date we receive our chips. 5 of those days have to do with ISO certified processes that we can skip when working with true professionals.

We are always open to suggestions and informative contributions from the community as well. And will start accepting more involvement from community members as well. We see that most people are legit and our thread has become less of "AMT is a scam" to "AMT are amateur assemblers" and you know what, we can handle that.

Please know we're working hard, we have every intention of delivering as fast as possible. We thank our customers that have been loyal and have supported us thus far, and we'll find a way to take care of them in the future.

Man, I'm having the worst luck with this thing. Good when I had it, but it was running in the other room while I was working on a programming job, heard a loud-ass pop come from behind me, went to investigate, only to find out... the power supply blew. In grand fashion.

Contacting Jim and asking for a replacement. Or a refund. This thing has been nothing but trouble for me. Was good while it lasted, though. Either way, I'm not very happy.

Save them, and yourself the trouble... ask them if they would allow you to get one locally, and they refund you some coins for the trouble/purchase. (I believe it is cheaper to do it that way anyways. As opposed to re-shipping another one. PSU's are heavy-ish.)

I am sure you can find one with ample wattage, possibly at a great price now that new stuff is rolling onto shelves for income-tax time. Get one with 200 more watts available on the 12v rails. Though, I am sure it was just a faulty coin in the main transformer. Unless you see something actually seared in the PSU. (Loud pops are usually the thin-coated coil windings of the primary transformer shorting-out. Caps are more of a pfffffssst sound, and transistors and resistors are usually silent but smell horribly putrid.)

Seems to be a common thing happening with PSU's lately. Common = 1 in 1,000. Tongue Unlike the past, where it was less than 1 in 1,000,000 back when they actually tested products before shipping. Now they just ship, and "if" it pops, they replace without questioning it. Cheaper than testing millions, just to find the 1 in 1,000 that will pop. (I see a lot of that on reviews, and many "popped" PSU's end-up at my door for repair. Actually easy to fix, if it didn't take-out anything-else. But not worth the effort, unless it was a $400 PSU to begin with.)

Appreciate the support ISAWHIM. In regards to his miner's supply, yes he can buy a new one from amazon, or he can ship us back the miner using our UPS account and we'll fix it and send it back to him back to him of course. These miners are under warranty.

What happened to this thread?  Last I checked it was all ok

We posted some positive news and a member actually came forward and demonstrated his miner. Since then its been pretty crazy because we must actually be legit right.

Anyway, now we're going to invest some serious time and energy into PR and everyone here posting negative comments will look a bunch of assholes. Weed out the comments, naysayers and trolls, and then.. Bam - videos, PR, Forbes..
825  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How Trolls Harrass Bitcoin Miner Manufacturers. on: December 21, 2013, 09:03:41 PM
So every individual name is unique... You are so naive...

I see dozens of "Joshua Zipkin", more in PA also... Seems a common name, like mine is. There are 53 of me, same full name and middle initial, two in my state, none are me.
https://pipl.com/directory/name/Zipkin/Joshua/

Oh 114,000 results for that specific name... Joshua, you type a lot! lol.
https://www.google.com/search?q=Joshua+Zipkin

Leave detective work to actual detectives.

So which is it... he is living in PA... or Bulgaria... How is he in both places at the same time! Show me that trick. He isn't Derren Brown!

I don't see any retorts to "Customers", I see retorts to "Trolls", who are not customers. They apparently have "done their detective work", and are sure about "not making a purchase". (No they are not, they are interested in trolling, to get a rise from AMT. Playing childish games.)

Just ignore the posts.

P.S. This was not intended to implicate Josh, or invade on his privacy, or the privacy of any other listed Joshua Zipkins, found on the public records, by google. (I apologize to all 28 of you!)

Hes one of the guys that works in our office. Please remove this post as its very intrusive. Otherwise we'll have to make the new CEO Smiley

Everyone who ordered an AMT80ghs, AMT128ghs, or AMT192ghs, please post your order number here.

829  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 21, 2013, 07:30:27 AM
We're not big on pre.orders either, but its the way of the world for now.
830  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 21, 2013, 06:52:17 AM
We've done some serious thinking, and have chosen a member of this thread to send a free miner to in order to evaluate our product and write a review. That member is one who has stayed positive yet pessimistic throughout this thread's history. He has no relation to AMT and simply seems like a legitimate guy.

BIOMECH  (if he agrees) will receive a free 80ghs next week, shipped out on monday with tracking info for everyone to see.

So we'll wait to see if BIOMECH agrees and if he does we'll ship his free 80Ghs on Monday.

Well, there's my personal "Holy Shit!" moment!

By all means, I accept. Didn't really think I'd made that much of an impression, but I'm glad I did!

For the record, and I'm sure some of you will be screen capturing this, I have no association with AMT other than this thread. I actually first looked at them because they are in Pennsylvania, which is the state my wife is from and where I lived for the last 8 years previous to June. I've asked AMT to not reveal my real last name at this time, but I may reconsider that.

As soon as I have tracking data, I'll at least post a note here, and I will do an unboxing video the day I get the thing. I will do a preliminary review within a week and keep updating as I go along, with one caveat. My wife is due to give birth within the next couple of weeks. If my daughter decides to come early, I reserve the right to be delayed Smiley I'll still keep y'all informed.

Thank you very much, AMT, and I do hope this works out well for both of us.

Kevin Biomech

P.S. for those who care, I live in Mountain Home, Idaho. It's about 40 miles east of Boise, which is a major postal hub. So it should happen pretty fast. That being said, I got home pretty late, so they may not get my reply in time for their initial offer. Should that happen, it's on me, not them. I was in the hospital.

We're happy to give you a Holy Shit moment. We feel that you'll give us an honest review, good or bad and at least its a review that majority of the trolls in this thread cant argue with. Please send your details to orders@advancedminers.com and we'll make sure to get it out Monday by 1pm.
831  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 21, 2013, 06:45:54 AM
Our door is open, we've had some clients pick up their 80's and 128's this week

Help me understand what product you are selling.

80 GH/s miner (2 boards @ 40 GH/s)
128 GH/s miner (3 boards @ 42.7 GH/s)

You've also sold a 192 GH/s miner. 192 is 1.5 times the performance of 128. That would require 4.5 boards. How do you do that???
The answer is you add more boards.  And the board itself stays nominal at 45ghs and gets up to a nominal 52ghs if you run it a certain way - so the 80 is really a 90 and the 128 is really 135ghs

We currently only sell the 80gh and 128.. the 80 is 2 boards, the 128ghs is 3 boards. We stopped selling the 192 for now, as you can see on the site its "sold out". So you're only two choices are the 80 or the 128 regarding the smaller 3 week shipping miners.

Yes they ship out within 3 weeks of the purchase. We are getting it down to 2 weeks now by the way.

Remember me? (Post #60)

The above info is what tipped me over the edge to go ahead and file. Very glad I did. Some might say I should have put this out there a long time ago, but believe it or not, I thought these guys might actually ship something someday, so I kept to myself... sadly after watching 30 forum pages of WTF??? This is not the case.

But I think it might explain Clenell

You were refunded because Paypal held your funds and we couldn't use them to build your miner. Thats why we refunded you. People have since then received their miners and have posted here.

Also the connection doesnt make sense, because if we were "Buying testimonials".. why  would buy only one.. Clenell is just a crazy crazy customer that wanted to buy from us.. and he thinks posting positive things will get his shipment out faster, which is might but he kinda did it on over kill which almost made things worse it seems.

But no.. AMT has no connection between that or any other domains..

All in all, we're pretty sick of this thread and people on it, thats why we dont reply. Although we do love the fact that it keeps us at the top of this category, which brings customers to our doorstep or via phone which convert into almost immediate sales after we explain what kind of people are really posting here and why they do so.

who ever is behind this attempted sabotage you might as well stop, we'll be one of the first on the US market with a TH miner and we ARE one of the few companies in the moment actually shipping and delivering miners. So really it's inevitable.  Dave from megabitfury is also selling miners, he has a better rep than us and you guys can order from him if you'd like. Hes a good guy I've worked with myself and can say only good things about megabitfury.

Our door is open, we've had some clients pick up their 80's and 128's this week, we've had a few other guys just stop by to visit to see if we're real and then they placed orders.. We're there from Monday to Friday after 10am everyday..  The address is on the site.. like all in all, just get over it because we ultimately don't care what gets posted on this thread because the people that buy from us are generally pleased with their product and even when we urge someone to post here you guys tear it up anyway.

Thanks for your support and abuse, positive and negative.

Thank you all for your support, we're hard at work, dont worry.
835  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 16, 2013, 03:56:12 AM
well guys thanks for the reply about AMT Credit card payment. Now that sucks.... hell no i'm paying amt with a bank transfer or wire or bitcoin. Looks like only way is going to have to buy it with Ebay. I might have to pay much more but at least i'm protected. Dont have faith with a Company let it be BFL AMT or others that dont take credit cards.

why cant these companies offer that payment..... wait wait with I know with credit cards they know if they don't deliver item they know that Capital One, BOA Chase any banks will come after there ass. Sometimes its better to have a paper trail. Sorry AMT i had faith in you but this doesnt show us you are serious.. heck even a Liquor store accepts CC... Maybe AMT should accept EBT (food stamps ) lololo

To clear up this CC thing, we have a merchant and do accept CC via email checkout. The problem is that we have a limit on our merchants of how much we can process each month as we build credibility with the merchant processor and the bank as well. This is normal process for a new business with no history. Yes when you select CC you're taken to a page that says we'll get in touch with you shortly. If we have room for processing within this margin, which like between 1st and 10th of month we call the client back and either take the order over the phone or inform them that we'll be sending them this CC checkout via email. This is only a problem for one more month and than after January the limitations on our merchant account will be increased. A normal 90 day evaluation period every new business must go through if they don't have history or credit. That's why we only take payments for the smaller units, to allow for more purchases, more shipping/tracking numbers to prove delivery. And the merchant provider won't allow tickets over 3k.
836  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 15, 2013, 11:13:50 PM
So we have an american company that only take payment with bitcoin or wire to a american or bulgarians bank account and that claims to have shipped miners but nobody has confirmed to ever receive one...

Nothing make sense here

American's pay to American banks, Europeans pay to European banks, what doesn't make sense?
837  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 15, 2013, 11:03:47 PM
Regarding hearing back from BFL and Cointerra:  Part of the answer depends on the "season" you are calling.  I was able to get someone on the phone with BFL early on after placing the order, however, I could get no one to return a call or email when it got to crunch time.  My experience with Cointerra to this point that been great!, or course they are just now getting into their crunch time, but, of all three companies I have ordered from, I feel best about Cointerra's customer service.

BFL has gotten their stuff together recently and we can't say anything bad about their customer service/shipping times over the last few months. They've taken this market to a next day delivery, fine they're delivery a small miner which wont yield a return, but still next day shipping deserves a good amount of respect and credibility in any industry right. And the CoinTerra guys have their act together as well regarding customer service and looks to have a decent product too. Their pricing points were just... Ballsy.. and if they pull it off then they deserve a good amount of respect credibility as well. We're looking forward to either working with or competing against both companies in the future. As far as we see it, those are the only two threats we have in America and we're the underdog. Kinda like rocky.. ya know, cause he's also from Philly.  Dun..na..nahh.... Na.. Na.. Nahhh...

Some companies might just answer phone calls until you order. They are willing to spend the money to have someone answer pre-sales calls, but it might not be worth it for them to pay someone to answer all the calls from people asking when they are getting their miner.

I wish we could do that, no jk. But like 50% of the calls we get and return are people asking for updates on their shipping time (even 1 week after they purchases) and guys that don't really understand Bitcoin and just looking for someone to explain them everything mining from A to Z. We haven't updated the system enough to select who we call back, its literally like an answering service where when we sit down to return calls we pick a date, ie yesterday or today and click start and it call people back one by one.
839  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 15, 2013, 10:48:53 PM
tera... man, when i need to hear from AMT I hear from them. my emails are returned. maybe not as fast as i like but returned nonetheless. i have to agree you are sounding a little on the dramatic side. as far as phone calls being received. i can only imagine how many phone calls are placed into AMT a day. not once have i even thought of trying to call them - fruitless endeavor. can you get a hold of someone at BFL? cointerra? i dunno if you can to be honest. im asking.

Clenell, you're lucky.  You get an answer back!  I haven't had a single email replied.  I'm not being hostile in any of my correspondences either.  I'm not demanding a phone call.  Just some correspondence to be returned in ANY form.  That would be greatly appreciated.  But I've had none whatsoever.  You really think I'm being dramatic???  Aren't these normal expectations?

And as i'm answering in order.. i see you're really having an issue here. Write us another email to sales and I'll make sure its responded to quickly.
840  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 15, 2013, 10:46:09 PM

All I'm asking from AMT is to PLEASE send out an update to all the people who purchased back in Oct.  Our due dates for pick-up are Dec 16th (Monday!).  They should NOT be wasting time on this forum dealing with trolls.  In fact if they just sent the paying customers an update, all of us customers would be able to disprove the trolls.  Currently, AMT left me in the dark.  And I don't want them to respond to me here.  I hope they'll answer one of my voicemails or emails I left with them requesting an update.  I hope they'll behave professionally and contact me via the outlets provided on their official website.
 Undecided

The only thing reassuring on this forum is that AMT still exists and they haven't closed shop and left with my money.  Before coming across this forum (just this week!), I was totally freaking out when none of my communications were being returned since Thanksgiving!

No you're right we need to send updates for sure. There's no excuse as to why we can't get back to everyone that called or inquired. In general we just moved to a different office and hired some new staff that we're training in the moment, but still that's not an excuse and we apologize for not getting back to you. There is no selection when responding to clients it's actually just an issue of being understaffed which we are resolving as fast as possible.  Regarding coming to pick up your miner, we are running few weeks back due to the delivery of our chips, but in general once they arrive they go straight to surface mount, then assembly then ship/pickup. Which is a one week process per shipping batch. We've also looked into getting some help from a local Assembly/Shipping house in the area that can assist in the event we get too backlogged ourselves. One of the guys in our core team has over 15 years of experience in this matter, start to finish engineering procedures and especially in final assembly. We also have a good relationship with a PCB assembly/fulfillment house which is out in Croydon, PA and have had discussions and made plans to work with them as well.  We'll never close up shop and run off, in fact we've been working hard just "opening shop" if we're speaking frankly.  Clients in the first few batches that ordered the 1.2 will be compensated in  for the late delivery, and will be highly rewarded in the future regarding all AMT products.
