821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is this a good divide? thanks on: July 25, 2021, 08:49:48 PM
Just believe in the process, invest in the top altcoin except for the ones with huge circulation and insane total supply. Hard to tell which coins will hit ATH soon, better to HODL at least few more years and reallocate the investment portfolio in the next bull season.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income on: July 25, 2021, 08:34:08 PM
What are some of the best ways to earn passive income right now? I was thinking about staking $CAKE, just staking it and not using liquidity farms. But not sure how profitable that would be, compared to some other methods. I have a 5000$ capital.

I think that if you have that much money, even short-term trading will generate greater profits than staking. I've been staking with some coins, but it didn't give me the maximum profit.
But the risks are greater on short-term trading unlike staking. The more you trade the more chances are going up to rip all the capital. The best method is the safest method that gives steady profit over time, I prefer staking as passive income rather than losing investment.
823  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: July 25, 2021, 07:49:36 PM
Looks like today I was lucky enough on Rollbit Cheesy
I just did 4x spins then got 5 Scatter symbols on Sticky Bandit 3, 5 Scatter symbols will pay 2500x bet

So nice hit, congrats Smiley
Is this slot the same as Dead or Alive 2 by Netent? I saw many streamers have made spins on this slot by Quickspin.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding and taking profits on: July 25, 2021, 06:52:47 PM
Yes, it is true. usually it happens to coins given by several bounties, last year I experienced something like that, because I thought in the future the price was higher and it turned out to be a scam coin and I lost everything.
this is the importance of research in looking at something because not all tokens that we hold will benefit and will turn to dust instead.
at least this is a lesson and we have to do research seriously so that the results of our hard work can pay off even if it gets a fairly small profit, this will be better than holding back and getting nothing after it.
because not a few of us still hold tokens for which there is no clarity on whether it will be better or worse so do research from now on

I agree with your opinion, but sometimes I get stuck with some of the coin developer statements that I have, they say in the future the price will be higher and hold on to the coins we have, even though they are not consistent with what they say and in the end, I became a victim of fraud they. but I've learned from all the experiences I've been through. Thank you for your suggestions and input.
Having proper research and analysis doesn't guarantee the future result for a specific project, scammers are professional now they can easily trick the investors with fake data. Holding lifetime or HODL is not an option on the bear market and turning capital to a decent amount has better odds in small unknown projects, from my experience.

Earn Double Winnings on all #Tokyo2020 basketball matches if your selection scores 100 points (men's), or 90 points (women's), and goes onto win the match

https://promotions.stake.com/olympic-basketball-double-winnings/
And the guaranteed match by Eddie will be live tomorrow, whoever wanna bet on this event shouldn't miss this opportunity. The total odd is around 1.6, so it will be probably an easy hit for Stakers.

P.S: As usual the cursed guarantee bets by Eddie became loss and we are supposed to wait at least 48 hours for getting a refund. Unless the market goes down up, the Stake marketing team will fully refund the total bet size with sending coupons on email. I will surely bet on the opponent for the next event selected for Eddie's guarantee match.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will dogecoin drop to $0.2 again? on: July 24, 2021, 08:27:55 PM
ETH is currently trading simultaneously with Bitcoin, it is quite possible that where this next crypto is headed will depend on Bitcoin's price action, meaning a failure for BTC to break above 128 million could cause ETH and other large Altcoins to suffer further losses.
The correlation dictates the faith of altcoin market, unless market dominance goes down the Bitcoin will move alone to the ATH. The majority of altcoin pairs look for the price movement on ETH or BTC charts in order to go up or down, the 10% down on top cryptos is 50% down for the weak altcoins. That is why the top cryptocurrencies as middlemen should be stable cryptos in order to prevent the market flow by BTC or ETH.

the present doge coin price is partly associated with the success in bitcoin price as doge coin fall to as low as $0.16 last week before recovered back to $0.21 this price movement have been largely tied to the recent gain in the bitcoin price.
Like all other altcoins, the price of Doge depends on the overall market performance dictated by Bitcoin price. One single green candle on BTC charts can change the overall trend for the altcoins and when this happened Dogecoin will probably go to hit the old ATH price once more. Price movement on the altcoins is predictable if you can make proper trading analysis on the Bitcoin graphs.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much of your total capital is in crypto? on: July 24, 2021, 07:56:28 PM
The more we trade the more commissions and useless trading decisions will happen from my experience. I allocated around 30 percent of life savings in crypto portfolio, the more market goes down I add more depending on the predictions. Markets can stay in bear trend long term, so better to invest with caution.  As explained, better safe than sorry in volatile crypto trading world.

For me 20% in the bank account, 30% in bitcoin, and 50% in altcoins. I like converting any money gotten into any of these rather than holding them down when they can actually be yielding multiple profits if properly monitored and ventured into the right coin.
I only suggest that at least 50% be kept in the account because now the economic conditions are not very good, we have lost our jobs and have no additional income. You are aware of market risks and I hope you don't rush into decisions under any market conditions.
He probably made a decent run on the last bull market and now time to get another good profit if the bull market arrives towards the end of the current year. Regarding the additional income, it is also possible with staking on the altcoins while some guys prefer to trade on the daily basis for boosting their crypto portfolio.
828  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a Game . on: July 24, 2021, 07:17:01 PM
Like in gambling, when they lose house scammed them but it is their successful mind when they are in profit. Trading is also sort of a game called zero-sum capital competition. One's loss is a profit of another market participant, only brokers aka exchanges are able to make guaranteed money on this game. Emotions also control majority of traders, they never accept losses and keep chasing untill stop out level.

Trading without enough knowledge at least about the basics is like fighting a battle without any weapon, you'll surely lose. Trading is a long process of learning since it has a huge risk because of the market's volatility. What we need to learn is how to deal with the market. It's better to trade when we're fully prepared emotionally and if we're knowledgeable about what we're doing.

On the whole, I agree with you. Trading in itself is an extremely difficult and tedious task, you always work with the probabilities of events that may or may not be related to each other.
Anything from a world event to an altercation with your spouse can happen at any moment, which can easily knock you or the market off balance. Trading is knowledge and experience.

It can be extremely dangerous if the trader doesn't know what he is doing. Following the news and making a technical analysis doesn't work anymore because of the big speculation by the whales, they ruin the daily regular market movements with social media. Similar rules are possible for trading but in games, we don't lose money for making the wrong decisions.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I Predict $20,000 for dogecoin in 5years time on: July 23, 2021, 10:00:11 PM
I challenge dogecoin to hit a dollar otherwise that $20000 will never happen..dogecoins supply is just too high to hold such a high price. Should it happen by any chance it means bitcoin is likely to be trading at over a million dollars. Bit where is all this money going to come from.?
Unless the team behind it really cuts the circulation and burning a total supply, it is never going to happen. With that insane total turnover, everyone will be quick-rich for a moment, in that case, yes for a few seconds price can be pumped to $10 or max $100 but the insane price predictions look impossible. The highly speculative altcoins are the financial tool for pump-dump and make short-term money for people like Elon Musk and other influencers at this point.
830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I get a loan? on: July 23, 2021, 09:46:07 PM
Currently I have $109,750 in Bitcoin and $60k in alts.

I'm thinking of getting a loan to buy more alts now and more as Bitcoin goes down. The loan would be from my family and interest free. If the value of my cryptos drop I'm willing and able to wait up to five years to break even.

However, I could use some opinions first. What do you guys think I should do?
Hey mate you already taken loan from your family without interest , which means you already a crypto holder with huge amounts of budgets. You should need any loan from outside. But if you want to invest more in cryptocurrencies, then you should contract a nearest bank with interest.
Not a good idea, in case of market goes in the wrong direction the pain will be real. The recent market conditions don't look good, so high chance of hitting $25k soon, trading stress will be super high in case of trading with other people's money. Better to avoid loans and trade with your own money that will not make anyone upset in case of loss.
831  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 23, 2021, 09:30:01 PM
Just curious, is Trainwreck really paid 1 mln$ per month to promote stake???
In live Twitch stream, he talked about the monthly payment(bonus, raw cash whatever) he gets 1mln dollars for affiliates?

If I'm not mistaken to get a $1 million affiliate bonus then the fererral must play $100 million this is 1% bonus calculation but i believe he got more than 1%
When I watch live there are at least 10k-70k viewers there so you can imagine 1000 referrals actively playing and each making a $1000 wager, this is just a calculation of 1000 referrals.
Nope, the calculation isn't like that. Each games on stake has their own commission rate. As described on here https://stake.com/affiliate/commission

You can see the commission is different, the highest is 0.14% and special for sports 0.3% (but not all sport games).

If you calculate how many $ must be wagered to earn $1,000,000 from 0.14% commission using this formula on stake,

Quote
(Edge as decimal * wagered / 2) * commission rate

When i try to calculate how much $ must be wagered to earn $1,000,000, it needed more than $7billion to be wagered
Exactly! Affiliate commission is not the only source.
I doubt the commission rate is enough to cover such a big monthly payment, probably Stake marketing team keeps throwing money to streamers for getting the best RO as much as possible. Now I understand why it is easy to make such insane wins if the streamers paid with bonuses, higher reload, lossback + monthly payment...
Tomorrow, I will try asking this question from Eddie on live stream hopefully he will not ignore  Smiley
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic on: July 23, 2021, 09:15:31 PM
Some people panic for several reasons and one of them is because of the drop in Bitcoin price. When the price of Bitcoin drops, the price of altcoins is also affected and this makes many people panic selling even though they are aware that they are losing. But if we are planning to invest long term, then we will realize that price movements are very volatile

People panic for one reason - when they don't know what to do. Imagine you have a disaster plan, will you panic? No.
Only if things don't go according to plan. Most people don't have any plans for crypto at all.
The first rule on trading is to trade without emotions, the more you keep chasing losses or not cut the losses the more you go deeper in losses. The market can stay irrelevant more than you stay relevant, the higher the market price goes up the more seller keep adding to their positions to make a profit if reversal happens on trend. Having a proper trading plan saves traders to make useless trades, having money management will not cause a margin call or stop out a notification on trading platforms.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dissapointments of the creation of the thousands of failed altcoins. on: July 23, 2021, 09:04:27 PM
I don't see any reason to invest in scam projects even if you know it is going to be profitable unless you keep holding it. At one point you will be able to sell it in profit and that is what matters for the majority of market participants. New projects are like a lottery, better not to mess with new projects unless you know what you are doing.

I don't know how I manage to miss Eddie's risk free bet. Initially, I was rooting for Suns ML for game 5 but later changed it to Bucks ML. Since I haven't placed the bet yet, I would change it one more time ~ back to Suns ML. Suns are playing at Footprint center so they might win this one. (I'm just kinda confused since it's currently a tie) but I want to take advantage of Eddie's promo so I'll opt for it. Thanks for the heads up.

Will place bet and watch the game. It would be super interesting if Suns can win both halves.
You are welcome, just don't expect all bets recommended by Eddie will be a win. Only 2 of his last 6 calls were won, the curse is real for those who bet on Eddie's selections. Last week, his tennis match selection was a good one but Barty didn't win the second set with 1.03 odds somehow, unbelievable. (Barty, Ashleigh - Pliskova, Karolina)  Let's see what will Suns do today.
I really do not gamble on Eddie selections just because he shares it, but because there is a good odd on them. Think about it this way, in a game with Getafe versus Real Madrid, there is a huge chance Real will win right? We all know that, they are the favorites and 90% of the time they will win that game. However if someone offers you 10k to one odds on Getafe to win, would you ever not take that? I would bet on it for sure without a doubt, I will take ANY bet on 10k to 1 odds, not going to gamble all my savings into it of course but why not put 10-20 bucks into it anyway? Just in case?

This is a lot realistic approach to it, it is not 10k to 1 of course, but the odds he provides on his shares are a lot better than what I can find somewhere else and that is why I like to gamble on them, because even though he doesn't always get it, the ones he does win covers the cost and then some on the ones he lost.
At the end of the day, it is a free bet and we don't lose a single cent except the market goes down when we get a refund. For avoiding the market loss, we can bet on the same day when the event occurs and probably the loss will be lower on the last days due to the shorter time frame between event and refund.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This time when bear market comes on: July 19, 2021, 08:02:22 PM
yes, the current conditions are quite different from last 2018, because in my opinion in 2018 people still didn't know much about the world of crypto or bitcoin, but now after the bulls are going on in the market, crypto is the subject of conversation everywhere, I think there will be a time later crypto will rise again
There is a huge difference between 2018 and this year, but no doubt it will change soon or late, however it seems the bull run will not come so early as expected, it will take a bit long time. We can collect some projects which have really potential till the right day. That is right cryptocurrencies are more popular right now compared to other years. But that doesn't mean everybody just knows about the crypto world, l believe that there are still some people who have not heard anything about this world.
837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daytrading vs Holding on: July 18, 2021, 09:12:44 PM
Probably it depends on personal taste, the more you trade the easier it gets to feel the next market trend on smaller timeframes. Holders can make the same ROI in few months with the day trader who spend his time to analyze the market staring the screen for long hours. Focusing on the market and letting the market bring you whatever it can is easier for all types of traders.
Well, they are both the same that you can get ROI, but the difference is the time frame when you can get it. If you want to hurry to see your ROI, trading is the best part of you than investing and hold for a long time. They had always opposite reactions because trading is very risky while investing is less of a risk. However, there are too many people who like trading than investing even though they know that the risk to too high in trading as far as the ROI will potentially get if you are very lucky.
Well, the day trader gets for example 30 pips a day(for simplification) while the swing trader gets the 1000 pips per month just for following the trend. If the trend is up and there is no enough correction to trade the best option is to join the trendmakers instead of scalping on smaller timeframes. Regarding the risk, it is risky to wait for reversal and cut the losses on small timeframes compared to long-term well-planned trades, IMHO.

The more we trade commission paid to broker, exchange becomes bigger and add the commissions to the total loss at the end of the week. For the lower commission, long-term traders will get a higher return on the investment while you will waste your time staring at the screen as a day trader. Sounds like a fair deal for whales but the situation is a bit different for small investors.
838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daytrading vs Holding on: July 18, 2021, 08:46:30 PM
It's probably more than just the situation, it's more of a how are you as a person when it comes to investments because if you don't exactly know how you are for long-term or short-term then you will end up choosing the wrong thing of the two which is going to be unprofitable for you.
And that also can result with a good experience and lesson if that person who ended up badly wants to take another try.

It's important to distinguish your focus on the market, as a day trader or a holder. Everyone can be an easy holder but not an easy trader since it's requiring more actions than the usual holding.
HODL and long term trading are two different phases, the HODL can be a lot longer than few years but long term trading can be adjusted based on the market and portfolio performance, IMO.

Odds for Ashleigh Barty/Karolina Pliskova Correct Score - 2:0 were @1.99 so there were a little bit less than 50% chances to win, then I wasn't really expected a win for this bet. But the week before, his risk-free bet was Ashleigh Barty vs Katerina Siniakova Correct Score - 2:0 @1.61 and it won. Smiley I hope it will be the same for the next one next saturday.
Before the match, the odds were 1.90 after Barty winning the first set the odds dropped to 1.10 + the points for the second set was 3-1 IIRC. Anyways, Eddie's guarantee bet is loss this week too, next week I will bet on the opposite side Cheesy
