Lets be clear.
No one is advocating anything against Islam.
The cancer you are spreading is the specific type of ideology you have. It pretends to be based on religion, but it is rooted in violence for the sake of violence.
My wife is a Muslim who was born in a war zone. Her and her family are the most peaceful and loving people I know. My issue is not with Islam, it is with the black banner which you are using as your avatar and what it represents. There's nothing wrong with what he believes in the eyes of Islam, as it calls for everything they do in its name. He is a "true" Muslim that follows the word of the Quran to the most literal meaning. If you don't believe in sharia law, you arnt a real Muslim...plenty of Christians out there that don't follow the bible. Screw Islam

Like Titanic scene, if you jump, I jump.
But me, I'm still here with georgem.
@georgem really, with that repugnant flag/ideology on display? Distance yourself fast! Who are you to say who gets to support georgem and his project? I welcome everyone here. Doesn't matter what they believe in, be it an ideology or something else. FUCKING TERRORIST SUPPORTER Let georgem tell us all of his opinion on the terrorists ISIS/ISIL and their actions around the world.... Killing , raping, beheading WTF. I just don't like hating people solely based on their opinions. I judge actions not opinions. I understand where your come from but Islam (this guys brand in-particular) openly supports raping women, subduing women, child marriage, killing people who don't believe in his brand of Islam. Freedom of association is awesome, so i respect both your's and everyone else's decision to leave or stay.

The guy that makes videos sound good! Can you check it with him? No problem sending him crowns! 1.ZKCP - decentralized escrow - what is the practical use? 2. Working hard on our new web - hope to have that within two weeks - after that let's try to push the crowncoin idea to coindesk or similar web. Anyone has an idea or direct link there? 3. There was an idea to switch the coin to POS - wha do you think? The slack group is more inactive than the forum thread lol
We really need more community engagement. If anyone has any ideas of how to improve the discussion here?
More activity in here and slack from the dev team would be an idea.
Also looking into zkcp from Bitcoin (decentralized escrow). When this is released on git hub it should be implemented to crowncoin asap. Why? It should be relatively easy to implement.
Keep up the good work!
1. Practical use, I'd be able to set up a very very basic contract using my preferred coin, Crowncoin. This would more likely occur with other crowncoin users, but it's something outsiders would use to. 2. Can't wait to see the new website, hoping it contains guides for dummies on how to use crowns features. I know a guy that does YouTube guides on crypto. If we could throw a few crowns his way I'm sure he would make idiot proof YouTube videos. 3. If you went from POW to POS wouldn't that effect crowncoin merged mining capability? Awesome, im on the case.

I have liquidated my spreadcoin holdings for several reasons.. but a big part of the reason why i can no longer be part of spreadcoin rests on "Abou Talha", i cannot for moral reasons be associated with a project where someone is for cruelty toward people of other religions, against women, and stoneage punishments towards other people.
Normally i dont care about other people´s religion, but he is just too much, his tagline, and support of a flag, that now stands for something that im totally against
im sad to say, but i am out, even though i believe in the vision of spreadcoin....
I'm totally with you on that piece of shit, I thought he was just a bad troll? We all should report him. Such a shame to see you go. The fall of Spreadcoin...It was ok'ish while it lasted

Someone is about to liquidate some 200k coins! For those of us who are looking for cheap spread rejoice! I think a core member of the team is making an exit. Just speculation however.

agree crowncoin needs more community backup. its amazing how low this coin is compared to what it still offers in my opinion. a wallet with instant transfer between users, sounds like a really good feature. any other coin has this at the moment?
can you be a bit more specific on this work? how long you expect it will take?
Dash has instantx but needs masternodes to function and I'm sure others do it. It would be cool to know the ins and outs of instant transactions. I know directbet.eu would be interested in a coin with this function.

I'm not sure, but I think there is something like 8000 SPR per day. There isn't 6.6 SPR per block ; but only 5.3 SPR. The halving is going smoothly. Now, the price is very cheap and big things are coming ; if I was you, I would place a buy order at 10k or more.
Full of it you mate.

Sounds like a scam. Might as well search for scammernakamoto. Do not take from our hard earned nodes! I thought spread coin was above all that. We do not want to turn into fedoracoin do we? ~GRC
Don't worry, I think people here are just brainstorming, so always take such unofficial ideas with a grain of salt. One day we might have a vanitygen-competition, but only if it can run on top of a blockchain-based crowd-funding mechanism, where participants themselves decide the goal of the competition and the prize-collateral they are willing to bet. No middlemen whatsoever. And most importantly: people who don't want to participate, don't need to. Such schemes must always work in a trustless, permissionless manner, where nobody has any control or liability: with only cryptography as the sole guardian needed. As a libertarian I understand the principles of decentralization pretty well, so rest assured that everything I research and develop has the goal of increasing decentralization, or finding new ways of decentralization where it hasn't been tried before. I am not here to please investors or fintech or my own or someone elses financial needs. But in the end, the world is in dire need of more decentralization so all the aforementioned parties will find value in truly decentralized systems. That's why I'm building the decentralized blockexplorer. That's also why I am building servicenodes that run with a competitive collateral. (decentralizing away the need for a "king" that decides the amount of collateral for everybody else) Literally everything I will work on will have the name "decentralized" in front of it, or else I'm simply not going to touch it. You get the idea: if it can't be done in a decentralized way, we shouldn't be doing it in the first place. So with this in mind, I understand that not everybody here has the same mindset. Not even all of the core members. But I am not here to police other people's "ideas". But I'll do everything I can to not let conflicting agendas dissuade spreadcoin from achieving true decentralization. --- So... I'm putting a few things together. I understand that what people are most waiting to see is some sort of update about the work I've been doing. And not just once, but in a regular manner, maybe once a week? It will take me a few days to put all the experiments I have done (and their results) in a digestible form that can be publicly presented. I do have a promising format in mind that I can use to present updates, possibly in the form of a youtube podcast. Please bare with me for a few more days, to get everything in order. Thanks everybody! Georgem, for your first update can you make sure that you address individual concerns? Its all very well talking about your commitment to decentralisation and experiments that you have conducted but people want to know how your progress against the roadmap is developing and also when other people will be permitted to assist you. You've got a team of people with significant experience in crypto who are emotionally and financially invested in this project ready and willing to help you. At the moment you are cutting them off. You aren't even engaging people in the dev slack channel which is why I am speaking publicly here. I don't think anybody thinks this is wise or acceptable. At worst, its disrespectful to people who have offered you support both financially and practically. I'm very sorry but georgem is clinging onto an idea that I don't think he can carry out. I know he is time/money and emotionally invested so it's hard for him to be honest about the real progress, which I suspect is dismal and SNs are along way away. The task is epic and ambitious, so I really can't blame georgem. But he should be honest, 100%, let the price correct and build up from there.

Dev when Crown will be add to bittrex. It would be cool to be there.
What are the requirements for getting added to bittrex? Paying them 3 btc or the harder way coin must have some good daily volumes on exchanges and you must do some twitter campaigne to let them see that community want this coin to be add. 3 BTC? wow... Im not sure it would do much for the coin anyway

Can't really complain about a decent amount of stash like that. All purchased on the market. Good luck to him / her / them.
I'll be doing my part and working hard to make him / her / them and everyone else supporting the project a decent return and an exciting project to be part of....
Thanks for your patience. This is a tricky situation to navigate. Evan dealt with showing progress by getting stuck in and constantly releasing stuff. That lead to forks, rework, etc. The code is still being reworked today. Geoegem seems to be more cautious and he only wants to release code he understands fully and knows will do the job without too much future rework. This is hare vs. tortoise. It is difficult to say which is the better approach. The community prefers the hare approach, is my best guess. Geoegem prefers the tortoise approach. There is a roadmap, there are steps being followed. This discussion is really about time expectations and people sitting on the sidelines wanting to get involved more than they are and becoming frustrated. Everyone wants the same thing, but tension has crept in. Really, I can wait. And i'm sure others are more than willing to wait also. But setting dates, totally missing them and then releasing 0 progress update is ominous. It's Ok to miss deadlines, but at least explain the hold up. I just wanted to make it clear, i don't want anyone to rush anything, just an honest projection of where dev progress is at.
|
|
|
I whole heartily agree with everything you just said. Such diplomacy.
|
|
|
Just out of interest, what is the current focus of the dev team from the road map?
|
|
|
We keep being told dates and we hear nothing once the date comes, so excuse me for being a little impatient.
If by your logic i'm impatient, then the dev team lies about progress of SN's.
Why not inform the community on the real progress of SN development

Whats the current progress on servicenodes? Bitcoin Core upgrade? Decentralised block ex? Intelligent testnet environment?
Nothing added to github for months and months. Servicenodes late again and again...
Tell me again why I bother with SPR? Or should I just listen, believe and buy at these "cheap" prices?
I wouldn't be surprised if georgem doesn't release servicenodes at all, pretty grim but I just can't see it.
I'm currently selling most of my coins (unfortunately), hopefully I can buy back at much lower prices once the market tanks for real.
Good luck everyone, don't be blinded by the prospect of flashing lights, money and fame... think with your head and trade accordingly.
And for ur information georgem is the true dev of this coin if he wasn't him now this coin worth 0 so it's good that u have where to sell remember this so keep up the good work georgem and congratulations for what u have done till now Georgem is good (wallet, vangen, nodes, website, blockex), i'll keep a small amount of spr because of this. But i'm also trading, i see the price dropping even more than it already has, so why not sell now and buy later? My reasoning is the price is where its at because of speculation on service nodes being released soon. Its clearly not going to happen anytime soon. So i expect a small temp bounce in price and then a drop in price to around 6000-7000

Sell all your coins and buy 2 pizza with 10000 SPR Iv already looked, i'll get 20 pizzas for 10000 spr lol in two weeks when the price is 7000, you will only get 14 pizzas.
