I agree with you that big transaction fees became huge problem for bitcoin. Before several months I didn't even think about it. I will simple send btc and accept recommended transaction fee. When I had to wait 3-4 days for confirmation, I realized how big problem we have in btc network. I really think that some people may give up btc and invest in other crypto currencies if we don't find solution here. In such scenario, some other crypto currency can replace btc so hopefully we will see some resolution soon.
What makes it so impossible for people to wait like 4 hours for a certain Bitcoin transaction to receive a confirmation? I guess that people don't really know that they can spend Bitcoin with a very low transaction like 0.0001 BTC and have their transaction confirmed within 4 hours if they accelerate it. Maybe people don't really send Bitcoin other than just paying someone money, I am sure if they do a few test transaction spending then they would see that they can send payments with a small fee. Depending what you are doing but 4 hours in not an acceptable time frame. When you say "if they accelerate it" are you talking about service like ViaBTC tool? Then there is nothing funny to use bitcoin is we have to use an external tool to get a decent confirmation time. It's like telling to your bank I you want you can use my laptop power to make the bank transfer faster. I dont know any other tool than ViaBTC, but once or twice i tried to see and always busy because their hourly limit was reached. If on the top of that such tool are always busy that you can't use, it is very very less funny

Replacing the dollar with Bitcoin would need a revolution never seen in the current economic system for "perhaps" get a chance to see it happen. Up to the '80 (I think) Gold was used for trading internationnally until it has been replaced with the dollar. Nowaday, it has been to much used that the dollar is printed in the wall like we say in my language. Not even considering the lobby around that would do all what is possible to never got it happen, unless it turns for their advantage economically speaking.

It may look a stupid question but are you sure you selected the ETH wallet ? When you are in your dashboard then you click on "Send/Request" in the menu bar. Then on the Send page, look below "Amount" You can choose from wich wallet you want to send: ETH, LTC, BTC. Maybe you missed this ?

SMF forum software has RSS, just add "?type=rss;action=.xml" in th URL of the board you want to follow, for exemple https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0?type=rss;action=.xml is the rss for the "Development & Technical Discussion" board Then you can use IFTTT (it's free) and create a droppet: RSS to Telegram, so when a new item comes in the feed it will be posted on Telegram I remember years ago the RSS on SMF was "buggy", don't know now but it may be good to try

Because Golden card still in Beta test, so there will only be 100 cards available. You could use my referral code "7NNcu6J6" to have 20% off or click this link https://wagecan.com/s/7NNcu6J6Feel free to ask me anything. *Some countries are still restricted by the guideline of our card issuers. Good to know about it just a question: the Golden card is available only in US dollar? Will it be with GBP and EUR after your Beta period? If yes, do you know when the Beta period is supposed to end about? And finally, as it is not mentionned on the website, who is your partner for this card ? Sorry for all the questions

Sad... If it was a security issue within the site, You wouldn't be the only one and it would be everywhere in the news. You say "I am not cleaning my entire PC and reinstalling windows to remove nay malware." I don't know if it's a typo but you may wanted to say "I am now cleaning...." If it's not a typo then you should really scan your OS and taking care no shit is in... For some online activities it is better to use a Virtual machine that you can install in few minutes. So if you get infected, only the virtual machine will be Good luck

Advcash doesn't ask verification as long you stay under the limit for their card, which is 500$/€. In case it doesn't work you can still unload the funds on the card. If I were you I would contact Airbnb directly to get a clear anwser. Because maybe it worked for exemple a year ago for someone but it possible sometime back then they stopped to accept such card... Some shops may refuse those cards because they are issued outside your country. It happened to me before.

Is there some service where you can enter IBAN / BIC (bank wire account number), send bitcoin to an address and then have magically the BTC converted to fiat and sent to the recipient's account?
Would be sometimes useful to pay bills.
Bitwala.io is what you're looking for. You can pay bills with Bitcoin: you enter IBAN and send Bitcoin to an adress. It's not done instantly, but usually within 1 hour. It can also works with altcoin if you use Shapeshift. You can pay all your recurring bills at once with Bitwala. You can even pay bills from a spreadsheet.

You can't say Coinbase fees are annoying @EXtremeAEX. It's not like if the fees are for Coinbase profits itself. Bitcoin is a network, without fees rewards, bitcoin would be dead since. If you're not happy to participate in Bitcoin then don't use it. You can't use Bitcoin without doing your part of the network. Anyway there is web wallet not charging fees still

Cold storage, at least I hope it's a general practice with Exchanges. They don't store on web servers to avoid any intrusion on the system that would make possible to steal the bitcoins. It's not entirely true as in fact, they keep a minimal amount to anticipate withdrawals. And if there is an intrusion the impact will be very less important

Kraken is based in San Fransico, at least the headquarter is there. Bank transfers in SEPA and SWIFT are not the same, so for exemple receiving a SWIFT transfer to a SEPA account would have a higher cost. Your bank too would charge you to receive a payment from a different standard. Kraken has to get different bank accounts to support both deposits method SEPA and SWIFT. And yes as stated in their Help Page: GBP Bank Wire Deposit (£10) - outside US only. I may be blind today but checking the funding page I didn't see GPB option. There is no conversion currency needed, if you send GPB, they receive GBP and you get credited GBP. One thing you should consider is if you read comments here and there, there are a lot of people still waiting to get their deposit credited after several days, sometimes 2 weeks

The answer can be simple.Look around in Bitcointalk, if you ask them, are they interested to make money speculating with Bitcoin. 100% will tell you YES. Ask to the same are they interested to have a full control over their money by using a decentralized system, ect. Most will tell you I don't care, I just want money, no matter if the system is centralized or not... I guess and their priority is not the same

I think we all can admit Ethereum is one of the few serious coontenter this day. I started to follow it recently. And i don't mean beacuse of the recent incrase in the value recently. I am afraid to see it's possible to see Ethereum more popular than Bitcoin in some places. I am starting to collect it here and there

Self-certification of residence won't work. You can not write a paper yourself saying "I live here, trust me" . For the Tier 3 verification from Kraken you need a verified proof of residence, you can send an electricity bill, gas bill, internet line bill, ect, any bill utility showing your name and adrress and I think it needs to be less than 3 or 6 months

Hi cc120
As you live in UK the best would be to have a GBP card otherwise you will have to pay an extra fees (2-3%) for foreign currency exchange If I remember well enough, when you click on "create a card" then you select plastic or virtual, then you have the choice between EUR-USD-GBP. If you don't see GBP card then that's weird as we have a GBP balance, In this case better for you to take a look at other service you may find cheaper. Cryptopay.me has Visa card and is from UK. If you only wanted a Mastercard then take look at Wirexapp

As long as you mix the funds why not? But injecting everything into bitcoin is very risky specially if it's retirement funds. As you don't deal the same way when it's about retirement, we have only 1 retirement lol..I wouldn't inject more than 10-15% with it. In your shoes I would focus with the cacao farming wich can go very good. It can be a gold mine I know
