841  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 17, 2021, 09:45:34 PM
I hope the sports gamblers here at stake are looking forward to the NBA finals game 5 of the series tonight between Milwaukee Bucks vs Phoenix Suns?  It's been an interesting series so far after Bucks came back from a 0-2 deficit at the Fiserv Forum and its now 2-2. Its interesting because Giannis has been moving his team forward with incredible performances (over 41 avg points in the finals in two consecutive games). For game 5, it would be played at the footprint which should give Suns the much needed motivation they need. I'd like to see what the outcome would be.

Odds are pricey right now ~ 1.58 for Suns and around 2.45 for Bucks. I'll be going with Suns to win tonight. Hopefully I'm not wrong.

Don't forget double winning promo still on: https://promotions.stake.com/nba-finals-2021/ (won the promo during game 3).

Edit: changed my pick to Bucks ML.
Btw Eddie has announced the guarantee bet for this weekend, it is HT/FT Suns win. Odds are around 1.9 but the bet amount will be refunded up to $50 if anyone wanna bet on this event.
https://promotions.stake.com/eddies-guarantee/

For summarization, you must have a bet over $5 on the same event before the match, live bets are not allowed for obvious reasons. Max refund is $50 for avoiding abuse by multi accounts but the refund timeframe can go up to 5 days. If you don't want to get a lower amount of less than $50 in case of placing the same amount bet on the event better to join promo on the same day to minimize the loss. Good luck!
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 17, 2021, 09:01:16 PM
Taxes can’t stop people from gambling not unless they make a total ban on it and restrict its people and the companies from operating on their countries which is already happening on some countries, but still people are traveling abroad so they can gamble as long as they have money and wants to gamble, they can still do it. In my country, taxing gambling activities and casinos are very helpful, our government made a lot of profit from this institutions and that’s why its legal in my country.
I agree gamblers will find a legal or illegal way to gamble or avoid the taxes. The anonymity of the crypto ecosystem can help the gamblers to keep gambling on third-party websites not regulated by governments thanks to the cryptocurrencies but they will not be able to increase the turnover due to obvious reasons. Some governments made casino heaven in less known cities to increase social activities and bring foreign tourists to their lands for fun which is a win-win situation for both sides.

Unfortunately, the 50 billionth bet was red and the Stake marketing team has dropped a $25k bonus on social media channels. After 9 hours they released the coupon code but on the promo page, it was mentioned as "shortly after". Btw, the monthly rewards were less than expected probably they will release a second coupon for verified users in few days.
Agreed. I don't like a few things about stake recently and I will list them out.

1- The telegram message said $25k drop while it was a $12.5k drop because the normal claim was $2.5 for 500 people and if verified users are getting $5 then you cannot call it as "double". Just my opinion and not that I am complaining about free bonus codes.

2- The monthly bonus was low as compared to previous months and the second bonus is capped at a much lower value, someone in chat even said it's $10 max.

As much I am loving the growth of stake as a casino, I feel like the rewards are shrinking, there is added focus on KYC and things aren't looking good for small gamblers.
I agree, the more users flowing to the platform the fewer bonuses will be available for the existing users to keep balance. They focus on KYC to get rid of the requirements of regulations probably and that is why verified users get more bonuses. $25k drop was a joke they should do at least $10, I don't think the 5000 users have wagered $2k in the last days to claim it. Btw, new reload requirements are impossible for small gamblers at least 1 mln wager is needed to go plat3 after plat2.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto on: July 16, 2021, 09:57:38 PM
Long story short: Because of the emotions: greed and fear. The more we want the more unnecessary risks we take and losses grow every week. Unless there is a trading opportunity I never force myself to make money on the low timeframes and push my luck. It is greediness expecting market will move based on your trading decisions. Without having a emotional control over the market trades, it is hard to get profit in the long term market movements. Day trading carries so much risks, only newbies will go for scalping on the lower timeframes but some professionals have enough tools, paid platforms to chase low prices on 5 minute timeframe.

It was good to get $5 for verified accounts but tbh I expected something bigger for the 50 billionth event. Social media channels of the Stake team shouldn't create so much HYPE around the event, so we should know what kind of reward we should wait. Btw, the $5 can be turned to 5000 if you can play smart as Eddie said on every stream. Some guys made $3k with $0.14 rain, if I remember correctly.
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 16, 2021, 08:02:53 PM
I can tell you from my own experience - sometimes I bet on important football matches, for example the Champions League, or the European Championships... But sometimes I get greedy and want to bet on unfamiliar events, such as the Brazilian league or something similar... That's when I realise it's time to stop! Perhaps the first sign of addiction is the emergence of greed...
I don't think it's greed? Though it could be a reason, but hey, you may just want to expand and try out other sports/events. It's nothing really new tbh, even I sometimes want to bet on eSports games that I don't really know, just because, well, I want to. Greed is a warning sign for addiction yes, but wanting to try out betting in other events doesn't seem to actually be one, nor does it equate to greed.

I agree. That is not greed or a sign of addiction but a simple recklessness.  Grin
You took a risk as you bet on a feeling rather than the odds. If it was greed, we can safely say that all gamblers are greedy! However, that would not be true.

But that feeling doesn't just happen... Uncontrolled betting or betting on unfamiliar events starts after you first make them consciously... Then you bet again on familiar championships... And then you get the urge to bet more in the hope of winning more... That's how addiction starts, I guess...

Every emotion has the acceleration and cooldown periods for gamblers, betting here and there just for sake of making money can cause this addiction, I agree. Betting on unpopular events is the point when you don't care about money and only wanna "taste" the same feeling when you get chasing an over2.5 goal, win, or whatever.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shopping time guys. Fill your bags now. on: July 15, 2021, 09:59:11 PM
I think it's early to celebrate the discount season and go shopping. During the last bull run, it all started the same way, with a large sink, a buy, then a bounce and a series of sinks even larger.
We have been at a fairly stable peak for too long, which is why we are used to it and believe that the market will recover easily, but in reality everything can happen completely differently.
Now it is worth being as careful as possible due to the increased risk of subsequent drains on the market.
As long as you see the market in red and you know that the price has been slashed a lot then it's a good time to buy.

That's what has been happening lately and bitcoin touched $31k again whilst Ethereum is @ $1900 again. Those prices are desirable to get a sign that it's shopping time again.
Be careful with trying to catch the falling knife, it can be a continuation sign of a downtrend too. The market is psychologically ready for further drop and everyone will join the bear club to buy more coins, unless you will wait for a long-term trend it is better to wait for the BTC price drop below $25k, IMO. ETH will probably go to retest the price levels below $1000 soon. In few years, the mentioned ATH targets will be met by the bulls but we need to retest the lower support levels for liquidity. Without getting enough liquidity, I doubt the price will go so much higher.
848  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why they get it all wrong when trading. on: July 15, 2021, 09:45:40 PM
The constant up-down profit curve is the animation of the fear and greed index, the more we want the more risks we take. Like in the stock market, you can make unlimited money by guessing the right stock and having a proper money management but in the case of volatile crypto markets, the same method is not correct for short-term traders. The market can stay flat for a few years and it can go up 500% in a day. Trying to find bottom and tops is the main reason why the majority of traders miss the train or forget to liquidate before it is too late.
849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC fall below $30,000? The high-yield risk opportunities are in MEME? on: July 15, 2021, 08:59:33 PM
It is not about which coins will go ATH first, the more BTC price soars the higher chance for alt season which will accelerate the altcoin prices. The speculation around meme coins is the reason why so many traders prefer to pump-dump without care about the real fundamental value that project, it depends on you which market you gonna choose to be a participant on bull season. The speculative social media posts affect badly the decisions of the short term traders, they keep following the big boys who only think about their own pocket money.

It is not greed or addiction, it is the urge to do something with the money in your spare time unless you have another plan for a day. In case of boredom, you will hunt for opportunity in the live betting websites and try to chase the betting event for boosting your profit. In rare cases, the more we play the more profit we get, the addiction can be worse if you keep donating to casinos every week.

I suggest the moderators on chat to change name of deposit to donation since we barely withdraw more than what we deposit on casinos. If the struggle is real for weeks, I will go for self-exclusion and will not try to break the rules I set to avoid huge losses.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 14, 2021, 09:43:51 PM
That is the worst feeling ever, the only thing that turns on your mind is to find the money for gambling more. A similar physiological urge can be found in meth addicts, there is nothing more valuable than gambling when the addiction urge kicks in. The worst part of the story is to sell valuable belongings to continue chasing losses, that is why I don't support Youtube fake stream videos that push ordinary people to casinos with lucrative promises.
Thus, if you value your money, then you can never be in gambling. But somehow, people are gambling just want to please themselves, either they get home with losses or winning, it was not important for them at least they enjoyed. But if your goal in doing gambling is to win (the main reason by most) you can't decline any possibility that we just hook up by addiction. And those videos that we can see on youtube are a sort of marketing strategy, it is a sort of market promotion, and it's up to us if really believe what they showed on youtube.
TBH, I like to gamble for hunting big multi, spending time, and being a participant in huge promotions. Hunting gambling challenges are more fun than just spinning any slot, with this way I can double the possibility of making money on online casinos. Regarding the losers who constantly keep donating to casinos, they are addicted to feeding their eagerness every single day. They keep losing and losing until the day their bank savings become zero which is the last ladder unless they will go for a loan to chase losses. As a mental illness, taking a loan to keep gambling is called degen betting, there are no good signs in such cases. Better to completely avoid gambling rather than wasting your money, energy, time.

Regarding the fake streaming videos, by checking the "pragamtic play" stamp over the right corner of the stream you can see it is fake or not. IIRC, only the Pragmatic Play website let the users to buy the bonuses on the website and you can create your own stream videos with a "big win" title. For experienced gamblers, it is easy to detect but not everyone is aware of the situation unforuntately.
853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is point of Tehnical analysis? on: July 12, 2021, 06:53:01 PM
Definitely it is pointless on flat market conditions, TA can be useful to find entry and exit points before entering trades. For spot forex market, the fundamental and technical analysis is essential but fundamental side is what matters for crypto traders no matter what Technical side shows us. Fake breakouts are more possible on volatile crypto markets compared to their alternative financial markets.
For scalpers, it is a bit different. You have to sit in front of computer and check all indicators one by one to catch a bigger fish. On flat markets, you have to check the oscillators for finding the bottom/top price points and trade based on the values by indicators.

Can someone explain the early goal promo? My bet was on England full time win and the final score is draw. Will Stake team send full profit because of early goal by England team?

For those who are interested, yes the promo will be paid in full because of the early goal by England team. Even if both team scores on first twenty minutes, all bettors will be paid according the promo rules, it is win-win situation unless the final match result is draw. This is the best promo I have ever participate, almost took max win allowed by promo rules.

I have to make approx 100 bets to win 20/30 bets; So if you can't effort $10, how will you be an active gambler & how will you be able to acquire your ROI by wagering!
Yes, gambling is entertainment but if there is no winning/profit then there is no entertainment by losing money. as much as you can effort as much as you will get chance of winning.
So, for getting $5000 lucky winning chance, $10 is not a big deal at all.
Well, it's also very depend on the player's bankroll, if they only have a small amount then $10 will be a problem because it's impossible to only have $100 and the wager is $10, because I have experienced has been more than 40x losing streak.
And also the $10 wager is to get a lottery ticket, which means you don't necessarily win, so I think those who play are those who are used to betting like that, not betting that amount to get a lottery ticket, so that's the money they can afford to lose
The higher stake requirements to get a ticket is better if you ask me because of the competition with high-rollers. Unless the Roobet team excludes streamers, the chances are slim to win the giveaway.

I don't know if they will exclude the streamers to the competition since they will be a good addition interms n marketinf aspects and theh could hype up this so I expect that they are a valid participant,  but we shouldn't worried about that since even if they join they still similar chance to us and may the luckiest person win so good luck to all of the participants.
I am sure the streamers will win on every single raffle because of million-dollar wagers every day, they get unlimited reloads on btc, eth, ltc balances. If you watch publicly well-known Twitch streamers, they get $30000 on each currency when they bust it all, imagine getting thousands of tickets and not winning a raffle while your competitors have an average $1000 deposit ratio.

After checking the rules, I was sure the sponsored funds are not eligible for giveaway. I am still curious in what world Xposed(Codeman) wins the raffles, he is the face of Roobet promo but the tickets he get with unlimited refills decreases the chances for other participants.
856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I get a loan? on: July 10, 2021, 09:45:56 PM
If you feel comfortable with lower prices and decreasing altcoin portfolio value, it is ok to take a loan for investing more. Otherwise, you will feel stressed in the long term and every crash on the market will make you sick. By the way, it can take years to reach the break-even point, unless you are impatient it worth risk investing more with the interest-free loan amount.

But, don't forget the first rule never ever: Never trade the amount which you can't afford to lose. After REKT, it will be hard to accept a logical decision and trading with emotions is the last thing you wanna see. Never fall to the trap of leverage and increase the margin amount based on speculative trading decisions.

Stake is offering new promotion for UFC264 - Marlon Vera's Multi Double Winnings!
Irene Aldana to beat Yana Kunitskaya, Stephen Thompson to beat Gilbert Burns, Dustin Poirier to beat Conor McGregor, and you will win double money you bet on this multi.
https://promotions.stake.com/ufc264-marlons-predictions/

There is also Triple Winnings for main event Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor, and I am going to give it a go betting on this one.
You can also watch live stream for free on Stake website.
If I have already made a bet on Dustin - McGregor event, am I eligible for this double multi winnings?
There is a rule on promo like "the first bet per match", so betting on one event makes the account ineligible for the second promo.
Regarding the Wimbledon tournament, I think it is a trap like NBA promo. Even 1.03 odds can be a fake if the player decides not to push score far, I have seen so many high-rollers bet on low odds for wager which is extremely dangerous, IMO.

Btw, with the 3% house edge on original Roobet house games, we need $30 to wager $1000, this edge is around 1% on alternative gambling platforms. I will continue to gamble on Roobet platform but hopefully Roobet team will pay attention to the suggestion-opinions of forum users and fix the gaps explained on the thread.
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much did you earn from airdrop? on: July 09, 2021, 09:39:23 PM
The best one was a long time ago, I have got a $2000 airdrop on UNiswap because of buying few new tokens for my friend. After the HYPE on the market, I sold UNI for a higher price and bought another potential project token. Usually, the rewards are less than $100 on many airdrops, so it is waste of time.

Honestly I have many token from airdrop but it's sad to say most of it have no value but if there's a value the fact is so cheap. For me it's okay because I'm willing to hold for the right time.
someday you will find airdrop that will give you worthed reward, we  have to be patient while joining in airdrop program because most of them only give us around $5 to $10. if we are lucky we could find project give more than 50$ freely by doing simple task.
It is like lottery, maybe the OP will waste his time participating in useless airdrops before getting paid. In lucky case, he will be able to send airdrop tokens with lower fees which will be even less that total value of the sold tokens. Long story short, it doesn't worth time and energy to waste on airdrops.
860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying other cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 06:46:47 PM
You can invest as much as you want in altcoins but be careful with money management before deciding on the ratio per coin. At least 20% of the investment portfolio has to be promising altcoins and you should check the profitability of the investments every month for changing it. Instead of going all-in BTC, I prefer to divide risks based on the future potential that is different in each case.

There are hundreds of alternative cryptocurrencies, whichever you will invest is your decision. After making a concrete investment decisions, buy the planned altcoins in small steps so you can change your portfolio if something goes wrong on short term basis. Unless you are looking for small gains on capital go to invest in small marketcap altcoin for getting higher return on the investment.
