Whats the current progress on servicenodes? Bitcoin Core upgrade? Decentralised block ex? Intelligent testnet environment?
Nothing added to github for months and months. Servicenodes late again and again...
Tell me again why I bother with SPR? Or should I just listen, believe and buy at these "cheap" prices?
I wouldn't be surprised if georgem doesn't release servicenodes at all, pretty grim but I just can't see it.
I'm currently selling most of my coins (unfortunately), hopefully I can buy back at much lower prices once the market tanks for real.
Good luck everyone, don't be blinded by the prospect of flashing lights, money and fame... think with your head and trade accordingly.

Just focus on your goals and don't let fud take you down Never, I will stay on this ship even if I have to wear a scuba diving suit. Are you implying the ship will go down?

That's not me. I've got my SPR in multiple addresses. It's not me, not you, not georgem. Bobsurplus ? I'm like 90% it's someone from Dash. I remember seeing a few familiar names in here saying their buying/mining.
|
|
|
That's a rather unhealthy amount of SPR for just one person. Except ofcourse if its part of an exchange, but I don't think so. Could be stonehedge? Maybe that's his bag he talked about earlier? I'm just about to splash out $750k on property and to make it happen I need all the spare change I can put my hands on. The rest of my bag is staying untouched for the long term.
I just wanted to know if it was a person or exchange, cheers G

Hi, thanks for your help with adding yobinet on coinmarketcap. Please send me your CRW address and I will send you some CRWs for your time spend with this. We would like to have a chat about your idea regarding PR for Crowncoin. Lets have a chat here or we setup Crowncoin Slack https://crowncoin.slack.com for faster communication. Also I have made some changes in the OP as you proposed and will keep it updated from now. Hey no problem! The op looks great now! Can crowncoin be merged mined then? Where and how can I do this?Yeh set a slack up and send me an invite please, a lot to talk about Edit: I figured how to merge mine. It could be made more clear, p2pool links that good stuff.
|
|
|
Great - thank you! Also, a couple things in the OP need changing, Merged mining is a feature right now but says 'Special features planned BTC merged mining' Name registration needs adding Time stamps needs adding Yobit needs adding to 'Exchanges' http://explorer.crowncoin.org:9110/ needs replacing with https://www.blockexperts.com/crw Future trezor implementation There's probably more. I think i have a good idea about Some PR for this coin

The lack of updates is extremely frustrating but I find a fair bit of comfort knowing that Georgem isn't simply cut and pasting Darkcoin code but working on service nodes from scratch.
The end product, or at least the first release, should be pretty special.
Exactly who sell cheap now will cry later Its actually me selling at the moment. I really wish I didn't have to do it. I'm just about to splash out $750k on property and to make it happen I need all the spare change I can put my hands on. The rest of my bag is staying untouched for the long term. I don't blame you mate. I'm once again left wondering if georgem is capable of producing what he intends.

The unique thing about this coin is:
1. The story behind it - the best from Eropean history merged with the blockchain technology - this is a main difference from other coins including BTC - people need a real story to identify with! BTC don't have a story and normal people do not understand it 2. It is protected by several digital knights who will never give up 3. Time stamping, name feature and merged mining with BTC - and other features to come soon
In Crown we trust! Is the story of history Incorporated into crowncoins blockchain in anyway? What's the connection? Are all three of number 3 unique? Thanks again

Hey guys,
I've bought myself a few coins and would like to buy some more... Can someone point me to who the devs are? Like a short introduction into the community and who manages it?
Thank you very much
Hi, thanks for the support and good decision to buy some, because this is the last time you can buy some cheap coins. We are team of 7 people behind Crowncoin. Myself I´m working with SatoshiLabs and TREZOR and this is my side project and I´m working with Crowncoin guys to bring new ideas on the table and execute them . Crowncoin_knight and his partner are operating startup accelerator and his main focus is to leverage Crowncoin/Bitcoin technology within portfolio of startups their are working with. Our last and one the most important partners is working on his own project which is some sort of social network which will incetivize its users with Crowncoin for using the network. Also we are working closely with Domob https://github.com/domob1812/crowncoin/blob/timestamping/doc/timestamping.txt , who is our lead developer working with our dev to create new features. We see Crowncoin as a long term project and not just some quick pump and dump scheme. Until now we were focused more on development rather than marketing the technology. There is also one stealth project in development, which will help to decentralize Crowcoin/Bitcoin mining. I cannot disclose any more details now, but should take more than 2 months, when we will announce something what should increase wider interest about crowncoin/bitcoin technology. If you see Crowncoin project interesting please feel free to share your feedback and ideas... Thanks for the reply Yes you have a nice team of devs, but can you point to anything unique about CRW?

any chance of a weekend update? Hear hear!

Quite a good place to do dev work on currency projects. I think some bitcoin businesses moved there to avoid over reaching regulations in the US.
Exactly, I remind myself about that every other day. Wenn schon, denn schon! BTW, even here you are not really safe from US regulation especially if you are a US citizen, as has been demonstrated a few years ago when the oldest bank in switzerland (located here in St.Gallen) had to close down, because of a court case (money laundering, tax evasion of US customers): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wegelin_%26_Co. Can you imagine? This bank has been around since 1741! Had to close down because of overreaching US bureaucrats. You can't make this stuff up. But you are right, no better place for crypto-activities than switzerland right now. It's true, most offshore banks don't allow US customers (because of reasons like you said). It's getting worse though with implementation of 'fatca', pretty much reminds me of any 'out of control' socialist government.

I would support a name change if it's the right one.
It's still early for Spreadcoin, so a name change sooner rather than later would be a good idea.
A few name ideas...
1. Intersection 2. Residents 3. Sphere 4. Hub
I sort of like Openstream, as one of many other possible options. Like, we're not blocking anything But also, because we are open, and streaming all sorts of stuff. Yeh i like that one. Sounds like a service that transfers files and is open source, great name!

More like... Hahaha Brilliant!

Given today is presidents day in the states, any chance of a state of service nodes address? I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon!

If you've followed Spreadcoin for longer than 4 months and are still invested
+10? Following but not “invested” as such in that I contributed some laptop hashpower in the early days until the difficulty got established, during which time I managed to mine a few blocks and have not subsequently sold the coins. But, on another tack: The Other Side of the Coin: User Experiences with Bitcoin Security and Privacy <- a quantitative and qualitative survey of Bitcoin users/usability (n=990) 195 (19.7%) participants claimed to be running a full Bitcoin server that is reachable from the Internet. The top-mentioned reason for running a Bitcoin server was to support the Bitcoin network (60.5%), followed by fast transaction propagation (46.6%), network analysis (30.3%) and double-spending detection (26.1%).
