Because of the 2% foundation fund being considered a "premine" (even though it is not), 4 out of 5 is the highest score possible. Understandably, Cryptopia wants investors to know "... that 2% of the coins are designated." I do personally, and will in writing, object to them preventing us the 5th star because of it. Preventing a project of the 5th star because it plans for the future and knows funding will be needed is not fair. The 2% is properly disclosed elsewhere for investors to find. To the readers of the C-Cex newsletter, a recent edition of which listed EverGreenCoin EGC as warned for delisting on May 8th, it is May 8th by my calendar and we have over 6 BTC volume at ccex over the last 30 days. We will not be delisted.

This is amazing news honestly. I wonder if any other crypto has developed a non-profit around their coin before. I see a whole new avenue of adoption and potential with this direction. EGC could be on the bleeding edge of a new non-profit revolution.
Non-profits that take in A LOT of charitable donations annually could have a new system of governance with DAOs and allow their donors to have a visible stake in the direction of their contributions.
I feel like I just had a well-duh lightbulb moment.

I do know other 'crypto-projects' have obtained LLC's and different 'nonprofit' classifications before, yes. I work with and do personally know some of them. They are not all structured the same. There are 29 different 'nonprofit' classifications in 501(c) alone. 501(c)(3) is one of the few that donations to the organization are tax-deductible. Any of these 29 classifications can be ordered in different ways also and the criteria for that order varies in different states. Some states have 'lower' criteria. Ohio does not. Any of those 29 can be filed in different additional ways also. Things like the possibility of political endorsements as well as projected donation amounts all need to be indicated in this filing process. Obtaining a federal EIN number needs to be done in this process also if the orginaztion is going to aquire one. My point is, there are many different organizations that can claim, 'nonprofit', 'entity', and/or 'organization' even. Not all of these mean the same thing and I do believe the intent can be derived from the structure to some degree. The EverGreenCoin Foundation is being organized in the most 'formal' structure possible. The EverGreenCoin Foundation will have directors, officers, and members who will vote as needed. Those names are yet to be made public because the legalities of these positions are still being explored, but rest assured, the bitcointalk community will be very well represented when and if any matters ever need to be voted on. Take note, an EGC BCT signature campaign is in the making and will be launching in the very near future!
You will notice mine and other community member's signature changing as we work on these signatures for various levels. We are still trying to nail down the "rules" also but we should have everything organised well enough to start soon.

I was wondering about that. Yes, it's a bit of a story but, 'EverGreen' actually comes from EVERy thing GREEN. Not Evergreen as in the tree or colour. I also like to have the trade abbreviation, 'E"G"C' emphasized. EDIT: though I understand the logo may not help with the 'tree' confusion. Nor the fact it launched on Christmas morning. |

I will begin the process today and soon a water well in EverGreenCoin's name will be constructed.

Price is looking good today - we just hit 2300 satoshis - sentiment is looking extremely bullish...
Even if the price rises to 10k there still wont be enough volume to same c-cex - unless there is significant volatility or somebody transfers a large amount of funds, there simply isn't enough liquidity on the market As the time of this writing, c-cex volume for the month is at 4.63 BTC of the needed 6 BTC. It has been climbing. Perhaps there is hope of not being delisted. EDIT: 4.7 already...
