8661  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Legacy Wallet on: May 09, 2017, 01:08:13 PM
Did you try importing it in electrum or other client? If your backup is not encrypted then you can restore or import it in other wallet. I have tried it previously with my wallet which I created in mycelium and imported it using the seed 12 words to electrum to gain access to it. I'm not sure if your also referring to that 12 words.

The backup is encrypted unfortunately and the 12 words even though printed at the time are useless.
That's unfortunate. I never heard any stories that blockchain.info helped their customers to recover a wallet which they have lost the password, if there is then it's minimal. how much btcs do you have in that wallet? Maybe someone in here who has more ideas in technical can help you.
I would like to ask the same thing on how much bitcoin you do have on that wallet and if you store up hundreds or decent amount then better to always keep on seeking solution into these problem. As far as i remember blockchain do need 12 string of words but knowing about 17 as of now seems they changed it.If thats the case then theres possibility to re-access that wallet.
8662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Earn Ethereum ? on: May 09, 2017, 11:57:30 AM
I just heard a lot about Ethereum, I heard it is good to invest in Ethereum.. Aside from buying it, are there any signature campaign and payments via Ether? Any freelance site and accepting Ether as payment?

Any good source to earn Ether? Thank you!

There are many ways to earn it. There are signature campaigns there that their payment is via ether using ether wallet of course. Ether has a big value right now. You may also try to mine it, there are pools there that you may mine ether.
Yes I think ETH becomes the base currency in the bitcointalk world because most projects in bitcointalk are paid by ETH, Like bounty facebook, twitter and signature campaign mostly pay with ETH and use ETHER wallet too.

The bounty's which new altcoins pay for all the campaigns are best plans to earn ETH right now. Its better if you want to save your BTC because you never know when BTC can pump. Right now it is 1700$+ on Preev and fluctuating.
Fluctuating? Maybe you mean inflating since its still on a price increase rally and we cant be sure on when to stop its price increase and expected soon the bubble will surely pop out and going back on previous prices again.I cant think any ways on earning etherium nowadays but only converting your own BTC to ETH which you can able to earn ETH but talking about on earning it freely then i dont have any idea.
8663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP is a complete fraud GET OUT! on: May 09, 2017, 11:31:59 AM
Ripple also have a lot of corporate backing. Of course they are centralized and can extend the supply quite a lot, but ETH and it's whales are not a bit better. So forget that "will go down with me and rise with me" silliness if you want to deal with alts. Any coin can be successful while you losing your life savings if you bought into it in the wrong time.
As long its centralized then supply can really be extent on what they want .I dont know whats the meaning of the things that being said by op down with me and rise with me.He must assuming that he can anytime guess and go with the flow of a certain altcoin he does engage and if hes saying about XRP is fraud then it doesnt matter at all on those person who do engage with it.It may not give him some money but for others it does.
8664  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cloud mining/Investing or trading on localbitcoins? on: May 08, 2017, 03:06:43 PM
Trading imo is better and safer, however if you want to invwst in cloud mining its cheaper to just buy someones account that theyve bought mining stuff on.

Trading is the best and safer if you are going to compare it to cloud mining. Cloud mining is not considered by people here and most of us when hearing those investments, we are avoiding it immediately because we know they have a plan on just to scam the people. So it's better if you are going to avoid those type of investment.

Yes, cloud mining is a terrible investment, at least trading you will have a chance to grow your coins amount, while in cloud mining you are just losing money on long term. I wouldn't say trading is safer, because it's very risky, but cloud mining is something you have sure will fail, while in trading you have some chances to make profit, it will depend your prediction.

Cloud mining is an investment that we should avoid because there's no good output on it, you may experience to have profit in the first place. But in the end you will have no proof of their payment anymore and they are going to scam you and their other investments. Just stay away from it and choose trading which is legit.

Cloud mining was a profitable business in the early days, now getting ROI is near to impossible. So calculated trading would be my option for you. Localbitcoins is a good, trustworthy website and preferred for trading BTC or altcoins. If BTC is too costly for you then try trading altcoins.
During the days when cloud computing went popular users preferred it, but the same when implemented to bitcoin and the financial system everything went as a scam in a short time zone. For this reason most of the users started to do trading than cloud mining and investing.
I do remember wayback before when cloud mining sites are rampant on the market which mostly fall for that one and lose up money when they starting to become scam but until now they do still exist because there are still some people do really believe on these HYIPs which causes for them to get broke in the end. Trading would really be always good speaking for long term profits because theres somehow an assurance on earning depending on how you gonna trade up.
8665  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: May 08, 2017, 01:58:40 PM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?

I think it would be popular but not so popular not like now. Many bitcoin user want this coin because of it's price that's not stable. So if the price is stable, only few people wants to use it like in deepweb. Because they need this coin to buy, trade in darweb.
Now a days people on darkweb have a workaround the bitcoin, they are now using monero which is a truely anonymous cryptocurrency as compared to bitcoin which is pseudoanonymous, so that the feds can't trace the transactions used to buy the drugs or other illegal stuff.

Monero is quitely pretty stable coin and people on darkweb makes it as alternative but still bitcoin is their main choice since anonimosity can be cover up by those mixers that can make their transaction untracable. But can you see any people here claiming that they are using monero? i think no but what will be happen if bitcoins price will go stable? I think people will find another altcoins that has good flactuation and try to earn with it as much as possible.
Price volatility is the main reason why do most people do like to engage on bitcoin or on other crpytocurrency because with this they can able to produce income because of the volatility and if bitcoins price would become stable then for sure it would really lessen its popularity because of that matter and assume that most people will surely switch off on to another coin.
8666  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading bots are they okay? on: May 08, 2017, 01:22:52 PM
Hey guys,
I'm new here and wanted to ask what you think of trading bot for BTC. As I said I am new just started getting in to bitcoin trading, and as I am a lazy person the first thing I was thinking of were bot. I have used one for a week now and made a lot of money but is this allowed or can I get in trouble using bots.  Here is a link please let me know: https://www.anonfiles.cc/file/622566b09fcfe6111e288cda92ea9a57 Thanks for your comments. I hope you can help me.
Why you are asking if its okay? since you do already make lots of money as you mentioned and also I wont bother to download such links so easily even some would say that its a file or bot or something.Better to be cautious than to be careless. Not to offend you but i wont really download the file on that link.Very suspicious for me Smiley
8667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin digital gold or digital cash? on: May 08, 2017, 12:39:54 PM
I considered it as both things because we do know about bitcoin it serves as digital cash because we can able to use it on purchasing things online and other payment options that do accept bitcoin which is really great and also its also a digital gold considering on its moving price which is can be also served as an investment just like gold. Its price do increase and also deflates.
8668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: May 07, 2017, 11:52:28 AM
There is a huge demand for ETH as so many ICO's are requiring ETH now

Yes so many ico are based on ethereum, because it's cheap and affordable I'm surprise that my eth double it's price in 2 months I'm glad my friend convice me to buy eth when it was cheap my regret it I should have bought more.
It makes us really regret that we didnt purchase more when the price was still low but still its a good profit after all as long we are on positive side.I have some ETH holdings when it just $2 but still im holding as of now because i do really believe on its potential to price increase even more in upcoming years.Im doing long trades i dont care if i dont gain profits as of now.
8669  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does speculation affect bitcoin trading on: May 07, 2017, 11:18:41 AM
I have been into forex trading for a long time and know from experience that market speculation is a norm but I would like to have you view on bitcoin trading and what affects the price movement?
Forex trading and bitcoin trading is not much different. But when viewed from the price movement then bitcoin trading is much more quickly affected. Some of the effects that once changed the bitcoin price of hacking against a wallet / exchange. This is one of the things that can affect the price of bitcoin very drastically. While the number of users and bitcoin transactions also can change the price of bitcoin, but this is not too significant impact in my opinion.
They do really have the same perspective since both are doing trading but news that affect prices are present on both too but do also differ. When we compared the things do affect their prices then forex is really much difficult because it doesnt focus on a single thing but there are lots of components do affect the price of each currency pair. Not like on bitcoin,it do increase its price when theres adoption/demand and drops if theres news related to hacking incident.
8670  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bubbles Can Be Good - Using Bitcoin's 2011 Bubble on: May 07, 2017, 10:46:45 AM
whoever thinks bitcoin is anything else but a bubble must have his brains checked
if tomorrow the price crashes to 10$ with no apparent reason you would forget it existed very soon
the price fluctuations are usually unpredictable and with no reason behind them
it is manipulated at a higher level and if the manipulators decide that the project has to be closed it will be closed and dusted
but at the moment we all enjoy the "great bitcoin revolution"
True, but this is only possible on altcoin not on bitcoin. All prices do really have some bubbles specially on crpyto world it does exist on every coin everytime it tends to go up but theres no assurance anytime that it wouldnt pop-out and crash back again thats why its important for us to see the opportunities either on crash or on a rally. We may see new ATH now but no one knows if it would happen again on the big crash going back on previous years.
8671  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Strategy To Increase Fiat HODLings? on: May 07, 2017, 09:23:31 AM
It's a give fact that most of us trade Alts to increase our Bitcoin Hodlings. Having said that, I'd like to know if anyone follows a strategy to increase their fiat balance by trading it against Bitcoin.
Just like most other said here altcoin/BTC is way more profitable than Fiat/BTC and i do really agree on that since i do both already experienced trading on both fields.Fiat/Btc trading would only be good for long terms but if you do like to see on early profit making then go for altcoin because price are too volatile which we can execute positions that could make us profitable if we did just do the right trading.
8672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince people into you using Bitcoin? on: May 07, 2017, 07:12:09 AM
If you are earning bitcoin as of now then its already a big proof that you are earning money online and it does depend already on how you gonna explain to them about bitcoin. If they dont get interested then dont bother to tell them because its not your lose but for them. They will realize later when bitcoins price already on the peak and they surely regret it.
8673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BIT.AC :: MULTICURRENCY WALLET :: BUILT-IN INSTANT EXCHANGE :: Affiliate Program on: May 07, 2017, 06:42:46 AM
I'm trying to register in BIT.AC, but after submit the email wait for 1 hours my account detail didn't sent in my email, how long to get account detail?
1 hours waiting seems to be long already, have you tried to request again if it doesnt arrive on your email then try to create again with another email,if the issue persist then better to contact their support.Usually email confirmations doesnt really took soo long to arrive but when its 1 hour have just passed then there might something wrong.
Finally I use forgot password to login, I waiting not only hours but days and still didn't receive the detail account in my email.

BIT.AC sent the forgot password link in spam folder, maybe Dev can fix this, I'm really didn't comfortable to click link I got in spam folder.
If you already did wait for a matter of day then theres really a problem regarding on this matter. They should really fix this so that players or users wont find this thing too hassle for them.Messages/Emails that go on spam folder i do consider as trash and sending them into that folder is really very awkward to open.We do have the same thoughts.
8674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Price Skyrockets as Coinbase Adds LTC on: May 04, 2017, 04:04:55 PM
Wouldn't surprise me if we see the price double again in the next coupkle of weeks or months.
I'm guessing there will be other exchanges that will be following suit soon, LTC has had some really positive developments in the past couple of weeks.

Probably. Litecoin had the potential and now it's paying off. Coinbase always supported litecoin directly and indirectly, so it was just an excuse for the pump. Seeing the market, more people are pouring in into litecoin and price will go up for sure.
No doubt and i can say this year would be good on LTC and developments and progression is on the move after how many years of silence and now it start to move right now.Talking again with coinbase they do already support ltc but they only just add it now to the exchange.I think price increase would just end here for sure theres still a new ATH so better to hold off a little bit more on your LTC.
8675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart city build in China in Hangzhou on: May 04, 2017, 03:32:59 PM
To be noted this is not a self moderated topic so i will not create threads and delete posts, unlike @Lauda does.

Remember the guys who bought 500k eth early in ethereum's life ? They will use it to build a smart city, and they have 30 billion usd for development. https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/chinas-blockchain-invasion/

Thoughts ?
You do really like Lauda.  Grin

Back to topic, whats actually a smart city? Basing on the amount of ETH it just 20 millions USD when already converted just like what others said here and considering on that amount you cant create a city with just on that amount. There are lots of components to be built for a certain place to be considered as city and imagining that amount wont really be enough.Whats on the mind of those people?
8676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy or Sell? on: May 04, 2017, 02:40:44 PM
Poll Open for 24 hours. NVM
Personally I think its time to sell a little to buy back in later.
Depends on your needs of money,if you do like to sell off to secure some profits then its still the best time to do so since we are still on a rally,we wont know on when it would stop and crash/dip again. Short trading might be profitable as of now how much more on long traders.I would like to suggest sell off a partial amount of it then buyback later just like what being said by most people.
8677  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Japanese exchanges increasing on: May 04, 2017, 02:18:07 PM
The Japanese Bitcoin exchange market and industry have matured significantly over the past few months, to the point in which the country’s largest financial institutions and corporations have started to launch digital currency exchanges and trading platforms.

In fact, one month after Japan started recognizing Bitcoin as a method of payment, more than ten new companies in the country are reportedly applying to become Bitcoin exchanges. Meanwhile, institutional investors are increasingly gaining interest in the digital currency.

How many Japanese Bitcoin exchanges do you think will launch this year?

This is a good news about bitcoins adoption and for sure price will surely main affected here which means it will surely rise up.Its not surprising that adoption on that place comes very high because thats the origin on where satoshi lived(correct me if im wrong)  they do accept its invention and now they are now on the trend.Talking about how many possible exchanges will come out,no one really knows after all.
8678  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What ROI you getting? How hard is to get 1% ROI per day from trading? on: May 04, 2017, 01:22:27 PM
Its posibble but depending on what kind of trader you are,if youre a day active trader then 1% per day is only an easy thing but still depends on what coin you are trading to and its better to have selections than focusing on a single currency. If youre capital is too big then expect you will put big amounts too on buying coins too to achieve 1% goal.
8679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Lock Bitcoins For a period of time " Deny self access " on: May 04, 2017, 12:55:28 PM
Theres none but you can use hardware or paperwallet and buried the privatekeys and never touch or dig it for a long period of time if not then ask you family members to make a password that you didnt know and then they store it on a place which you dont know too i think this is only the possible ways on what you are asking for.Theres no site or service do have those things that you said but there are lots of ways.
8680  Economy / Economics / Re: how i start a bussines with BTC on: May 03, 2017, 02:47:26 PM
Hi guys Smiley i want to ask you and if you have personal experiences on how i can start a bussines using BTC?
First of all, please do state what is your interest or ideas on your mind now? So that community would able to give you comments about on your idea. When you do plan to make business on bitcoin world then mostly as far as i saw, online goods are always on the line because they are fast moving and there are lots of potential buyers here on this forum but if you do think about personal goods like gadgets, cloths, etc. then it might do but sale would depend on interest of people.
