just showing a parallel of current 2013 picture to the run up to the all-time-high in 2011.
http://bit.ly/qJDsYw

looks very similar, and totally possible.

this does not mean that this IS the way it goes this time, but there was similar skepticism and bears crawling out of their hole at around 3 $ and 6-7 $ in spring 2011 - and then prices quadrupled again in the next 4-5 weeks.

How do people go about trying to quantify this?

Without breaking anonymity, you can't. The market simply feels different from my perspective, having been observing it for over two years. Watching the magnitude of the moves, reactions to them, general sentiment in forum and blog discussion, handling of news by media, etc. all point to widespread indications of growth - still early, but it's like waking from a deep sleep and getting reoriented.

Again, from my view (and I suspect others - cypher, Trace, Turk...)

I agree, in blue, as always :-)

Its looks like someone in west coast US timezone probably CA state has a weak hands.
Why correction come in the same time?

Could be coincidence. The first one happened when Pirate declared the close of BTCST

why west coast US timezone? bitcoin trading is global and at that time, there are more regions who can trade bitcoins

sind Parallelen erkennbar ?

Ja nennt sich kognitive Verzerrung. Du siehst das was du wünscht!

There's still a ton of pressure on the buy side. We just need another spark to get things going again.

Things can chill out a while so far as I'm concerned...  Tongue

yep. chilling and riding the BITBULL at the same time
888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: January 22, 2013, 07:36:53 PM
I offer peace for you. I will not troll, copy and will just post my bearish signals here. That is all. You may continue with your bullish newsletter. It is also useful.

 Wink
peace

and as you may see, I can also become bearish with bitcoin, but not now
889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: January 22, 2013, 05:56:10 PM
I don't take your advice, lucif, but I love reading it.  I take in as many analyses and opinions as I can.

The more information the better!  You do a great job of giving your opinion with pretty pictures.  I appreciate this.

Keep up the good work.  We all know you have many sources and losing on subscription will not affect this.

Never stop analyzing!

I also have nothing against someone analyzing the bitcoin charts in a different way.

I just made my statement to (i)  protect my subscribers who pay for it and also (ii) my guts turned upside down with his wrong forecast that he was even defending for weeks. If people have followed him, they missed out one of the biggest rallies bitcoin has seen in its life.

and to lucif:
I am not a perma bull. You have just not been there when a bearish stance has been warranted. and as you seem to be comitted to remaina  subscriber even with assuming other identities, there is nothing I can do.

sorry for becoming emotional but I am just a human being..
890  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: January 22, 2013, 11:45:39 AM
Why when I standing in opposite direction and criticism position - cypher and S3052 ask me for refund? Are you kidz?

Are you abusing me for drawing 50% Fibbonaci retracement and shown that on public? It's a everybody known resistance levels.

What the fuck? Someone please judge this.

It is not really about the fact that you are using fib numbers and common indicators.

It is because you get many special analyses per week and a 10+ page newsletter every week and then start a thread abiut the same thing: bitcoin technical analysis.

even if you do not copy anything directly from my service, reading it will at least impact you and this is not honest practice.
i know many financial advisers and newsletters who do not permit this, nor do I.

Why don't you accept that I return your bitcoins and then you do not have any financial loss.
And then you can carry on with your analyses in an unbiased fashion.
891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: January 22, 2013, 11:21:26 AM
Let just do the following. I remove you from my subscriber list and refund your bitcoins. Then there is no potential conflict any more.
892  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: January 22, 2013, 09:14:46 AM
lucif,

seriously, I do not understand what you are doing here.

First, you subscribe to my service and you are still a subscriber for many more months
Then you come up with your own technical analysis
Then you decide to be bearish in contrast to the subscriber service, tricking some people into the completely wrong direction (you have been bearish since 13.5 $ and since then prices rallied about 30%.
Then you copy some of the views I give exclusively to subscribers (like the 50% retracement chart, etc.) which you are not allowed to

Apart from the fact that this is not fair, you may influence others and make them lose money.

I do not understand.
Perhaps someone who is neutral can judge about this?

Can anyone offer advice to a UK resident wishing to begin the claims process?

• How to get a document notarized (and costs?)

• Instead of a social security number do we provide NI number?

• Is it legal for to copy UK ID documents to send to another country?

You can get documents notarised at most Solicitors (their company name will usually say "Solicitor and Notary public" or similar).  There's a fixed fee for it (varies per So;icitor) - usually in the £25 - £75 range.  There are other people besides SOlicitors who can notarise - but SOlicitors are liekly to be the most accesible ones for you.  Check for any extras they charge before getting it done - you don't want to pay them £1 per sheet for photocopies for example.  You'll need to take along proof of identity (passport is ideal) and the originals of any ID documents being copied/sent (they MAY insist on photocopying the documents themselves).  You'll then swear under oath that the information contained in the affidavit is correct.

You then need to get the documents apostilled (which means a central body confirms that the notarisation is valid).  This has to be done by post with the Legalisation Office of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (you used to be able to get it done in person at Milton Keynes but that option is longer available).  Think the cost of apostille is £35 per document from memory.  Just google for "apostille UK" and I'm sure you'll find the details for that.

It's perfectly legal to copy documents such as passports.  They are explicitly listed as things which can be apostilled - and apostille is pretty much only used when sending documents overseas.  I have no idea if other countries have laws against sending copies of passports - but it's fine from the UK.

My objection to this procedure has always been that the costs are disproportionate for smaller investors and that they're being passed on to investors when the mistake was Giga's.  There's nothing illegal (in the UK) about what is being requested - and were disclosure of the requirement for such documentation made in advance of accepting funds it would be perfectly reasonable.

Thanks you for all of this information, it's the first time someone has taken the time to explain.

I don't know how the hell I'm gonna get all of that done, and the costs involved is just ridiculous. I'm really not a happy bunny.

and this is exactly why there needs to be a revolt against this unfair behaviour from Giga

Wrong.
The probabilities of these events are always prices in the charts.

Bitcoins almost sold out globally.

But I can understand people not putting their coins up for sale in a bull market we are in.
