881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nano is better than Bitcoin! Do you hold any? on: July 20, 2019, 09:12:10 PM
You are right though and I agree with you to an extent. Nano is good, no argument on that  but what makes you think it will last long term just like Bitcoin has done? There have been many projects who said they will beat Bitcoin but they are no where to be found. There are also some which offered high TPS but yet Bitcoin is still king. People believes in Bitcoin because it has stand the test of time amidst all challenges.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful of alts you hodl on: July 20, 2019, 09:08:35 PM
Sincerely most altcoins has dealt mercilessly with investors in recent times which have also opened their eyes into going for the good ones. Although there are still people investing because someone said one or two things about the project, but I think such people should have a rethink because it hardly ends well. Let's forget hype...
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The three biggest mistakes you should avoid on: July 20, 2019, 09:05:26 PM
Thanks for sharing this and hope many will see and learn because this is true of trading. When on fails to follow the adequate way to trader the person will only end up gambling with his funds which isn't good in any way. Its better to start trading with all needed knowledge so as to be safe.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite platform? on: July 20, 2019, 09:02:54 PM
I will chose Ethereum. Reason is that, the team is not like most projects that relaxes thus the reason it's always No. 2. Also, ETH platform is truly decentralized and constantly looking for ways to keep their platform up to date and efficient thus standing the test of time. Furthermore, Ethereum has given most projects the opportunity to get started on an already built decentralized blockchain while working on theirs.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some New Projects Will Take Over some Old Projects on: July 20, 2019, 08:58:40 PM
Isn't that the idea behind every innovative industry which truly shows the industry is growing. With reference to this space, most coins which were created few years ago had dropped in rank while others have overtaken them and so will it be. Surly, there will come a time when it will be highly competitive thus putting an end to all projects without adequate use case.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Vs KuCoin on: July 20, 2019, 08:39:27 PM
I agree that the two are similar but might be in terms of UI and ease of use. For I prefer trading on Binance because of their volume which are better and accommodating. Kucoin on the other hand; most times the orders within a trade can turn one off which isn't good. Also, another reason I would prefer Binance is as a result of their trading app which is efficient, always updated and in tune with what users wants.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Build yourself a solid portfolio with good projects on: July 18, 2019, 11:46:12 PM
This is true, solid portfolio is equalled to projects with good use case; therefore when one builds his portfolio around such projects he will succeed in taking part in what the future holds. Also, the future of good projects is bright because the team will always try their best to ensure they keep their working product up to users expectations.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A SHIFT FROM ICO TO IEO on: July 18, 2019, 11:42:21 PM
I think IEOs will help upcoming projects get the required funds they seek because they will be promoted by exchanges. Furthermore the exchange in charge of the IEO have a big role to play, as there are exchanges which are losing their reputation while there are others that keeps improving so as to offer more IEO services. Thus it can be seen that to a greater extent the shift from ICOs to IEOs have paid off.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest long term aside from Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2019, 11:36:28 PM
The simple answer to you question is, invest in projects which have the opportunity to last long not those that are hype filled. With that being said, I think BNB, XLM and ETH are good and will worth your time and efforts. Nevertheless, there are still others that are good which you can compare with to make the right choice.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO can be a safer investment option than ICO on: July 18, 2019, 11:34:20 PM
I grew with you, IEOs seems to be better options now as participating in public sale is now made easier and scam free. Also, taking the exchanges into consideration, exchanges can only verify the team while investors are left to know if the project is worthwhile or not. However, most IEOs in major exchanges were successful thus giving more preference to IEOs than ICOs.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could you recommend two good altcoins? on: July 18, 2019, 11:30:59 PM
By looking at the market now, any project not offering any real working product is a no no for investing as it won't last long term. The market is driven by projects with such thus the reason most are doing good while others are tanking in price. To your question, BNB and XLM are good choices.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: hardware wallets safe? on: July 13, 2019, 08:17:40 AM
Ever since hardware wallets were created they have successfully helped users within this space to maintain security of their assets as convinent as possible. There is no need to worry about any type of security breaches or cyber attacks as your coin is right there with you. Hardware wallets really shows what it means to be "decentralized", how? You own the keys to your wallet and can access it when you want to.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your Goals in regards to cryptocurrency? on: July 13, 2019, 08:13:08 AM
Sincerely looking at the crypto space there are many opportunities and potentials within. First I wish to acquire more knowledge in all affairs of the crypto industry both in trading, investing, participating in public sales etc. Since learning never ends I wish to continually improving because there is always new things coming up in this space which is worth learning.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Choose wisely on: July 13, 2019, 08:08:58 AM
There is nothing more to add as you have carefully stated it out. Use case is the main thing in any project and if there is no use case, then the project has nothing to show for. Most projects today turned to pump and dump when investors realized that all that was promised were all hype thus dumping the project. On the other hand, most projects today grew owing to the genuine nature of their use case.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better ICO, STO Or IEO ? on: July 13, 2019, 08:06:18 AM
We have seen and known about ICOs and their series of shortcomings, nevertheless it had its time. On the other hand, STOs are Security Token Offering with high restrictions and high KYC process thus turning many people off. IEOs are managed by exchanges where security of users assets is taken into due consideration. From this three IEO is better as it has recorded a reasonable level of success since it's inception.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from online mobile wallets with no backup phrase on: July 13, 2019, 08:03:14 AM
A word is enough for the wise and you have taken time to state it out, it is now left for those participating in such to stop. How can a wallet seeks us to store our assets without finding it worthwhile to embed backup phrase and we will use? This shows something is not right and caution should be applied. This is blockchain where decentralization reigns supreme, if there is no backup phrase then no need to use such wallet.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUYBACK TOKENS SOLVES DUMPING on: July 13, 2019, 07:59:38 AM
Yes it does, at least the projects that has done it were able to maintain a reasonable price for a long while. Also, most projects adds buyback to their roadmap to attract investors while at the long run not doing it. In my own opinion, if buyback is adequately carried out by the team it will help to regulate the price of their token which is good and will make the project get the needed attention.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin/Token Shilling, Is it really that bad? on: July 13, 2019, 07:56:39 AM
Everyone is after what he wants, most people shilling coins might be victims of dump and when they see the opportunity they won't hesitate to shill so as to recover. On the other hand also, when a project gets listed, most people will shill so as increase the price then dumping too. So when one looks at shilling, to an extent it is bad and to an extent it isn't as everyone has his own reason for shilling which can still be justified. The only way out to studying the project to know if it's worth it.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IEO be good in the future? on: July 11, 2019, 04:38:36 PM
To be frank, judging by recent happenings I can say they have a huge chance of being good in the future. Comparing IEOs and ICOs now, the difference is clear; the rate of scamming is low etc. Also, looking at most IEOs promoted by major exchanges, they always end up well thereby giving handsome profit to investors. These are one of many reasons for saying they might be good in the future. Nevertheless, we shouldn't be blinded by the exchange promoting the IEO and fails to do our research.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get your hopes too high on: July 11, 2019, 04:34:55 PM
With recent happenings, this type of bounties doesn't end or will I say has never ended well. They all looked like a way to draw participants then after everything comes up with ridiculous excuses; gone are the days when they did well. With that, It is more preferable going for a project whose team is ready to work, accommodating and living up to expectations; this type of projects always give a moderate allocation they can handle and hardly comes up with excuses not to pay.
