@OgNasty is one the user here in the forum that is a forum member since 2011 and active until now with donator status. He is one of the real OG here and I remember that he serves as forum treasurer before. Forum staff and moderators like gmaxwell are also your best source of this info but I doubt that they will spend time here to give testimony.

You can manually check those old conversations by going on the board that you like here and start browsing threads from the last page.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just Another Good Source Of Motivation For You ... on: July 26, 2023, 06:49:59 PM
I value food over anything since my parents and culture teach me how to show respect on it since we are all striving to earn money just to eat since we can’t leave without food while we can leave without anything else except food/water alone.

This a good motivation if you are wasting money on fancy restaurants that serves an OP dish while you can eat the same on other restaurants for lower price with a little bit low quality. But if you are sacrificing food in general than to invest, I think I will not do this kind of motivation.
883  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: July 26, 2023, 06:44:55 PM
Looks like BTC will stay in the $29K range for the next few days and people who made bearish predictions could end up winning the ongoing prediction contest. A correction was expected for sometime now.

Just a couple of months remaining for the next big halving event where BTC could reach a new ATH. Excited!

Most likely this gonna happened since FOMC recently released a quarter high to a range of 5.25%-5.5% which is a 22 year high as per source https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/fed-meeting-interest-rate-decision-today-july-2023

I think the price of Bitcoin will stay low until first week of August since Bitcoin price recovery always happening om 1st to 2nd week of the month assuming there will be no further FUD. I think the winner of the prediction contest will have a minimal margin since the current price is close during the last day of submission of entry.
884  Local / Pilipinas / Bitcoin Mining using Green Energy on: July 26, 2023, 02:46:03 PM

885  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panu labanan ang sweeper bots on: July 26, 2023, 02:35:25 PM
Diko pa naeexperience ito kaya napasearch ako kung ano nga ba itong sweeper bot na ito. Ito palang yung automatic na nagtra2nsfer ng funds from wallet to other wallet.

886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title on: July 26, 2023, 02:29:33 PM
Not belittling the Filipino here, but I think Tapales will have a slim chance against the monster Inoue. We have seen how he just eruption on American Fulton, the 2 belt champion as well and just didn't give him the breathing room and I don't think that Fulton win a round against Inoue and then the knockout power of Inoue will be too much for anyone.

So not sure what strategy the camp of Tapales will do against Inoue. Naoya is just reaching his prime right now and it's hard to stop a fighter like that who is very complete in my opinion.

I’m a Filipino and I agree to your valid concern about Tapales having a slim chance. Even the general Filipino community think the same way since Tapales skills is inferior compared to Inoue. Most of us think that Casemero should be the one Inoue facing for a better matchup.

Honestly speaking, Naoya is a monster after his fight against Fulton. His punch is quick and very powerful which is very hard to counter by slow heavy blower like Tapales. I really think Tapales should not take this fight to save his career.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: July 23, 2023, 04:30:46 PM
I think that this is normal, it is the duty of every casino, if a person deposits and wins, it is their right to withdraw, and yes, there should not be a KYC requirement to do so, because it would condition them or force them to give their data in order to opt for the benefit, I do not agree with the KYC to withdraw,

Nobody agreed to giving out their private information to casinos but since we're dealing with money here casino are obligated to asked for KYC verification. All casinos are now doing it and if this continue they'll be forcing us to abandon them and move to web3 casinos.

The user automatically agree the moment they sign up on the casino since reading ang agreeing on the casino ToS is part of the registration process before anyone can play in the casino. User that complained about KYC usually don’t read the ToS especially the AML policy section that clearly stated that casino will have the right to ask for KYC.

Decentralized casino is indeed the solution for KYC but the trust issue problem on casino without license will become the main concern.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 23, 2023, 04:22:26 PM
Kinda expected that to happen but what really surprised me was BB lost to Secret 0-2. That was unbelivable and considering that Secret lost two games in a row on the 1st day, its kinda seems impossible for them to actually win against BB that even swept Team Liquid under the floor. Made decent profit on BB - Liquid then lose it all up on BB - Team Secret, what a day  Roll Eyes

Luckily I did not bet in this game because I did not want to go against Team Secret. I believe it was Map 1 that set up the momentum. The lane period went well on Team Secret and Armel and the rest were playing crazy DOTA. There were times when BB was able to catch up on their items but Team Secret was able to perfectly time their combos and managed to win crucial clashes. By the time BB went defensive, Team Secret was leading a huge net worth that enabled them to make risky huge dives and then finally get the win.

BB seemed broken during the 2nd map. Armel and Yamich started very well and once Team Secret started initiating kills, they were all over the map with BB nothing to answer. Hoping for Team Secret to continue these winning ways in their next games.

Agreed on this Analysis, Betboom can't find a way to destroy Team Secret after the long game 1. Secret knew well how to deal with the aggressiveness of BB. I'm really surprised on how Secret manage to bounce back after losing back to back against Talon and Aster while  BB is much more stronger team that the first two team they met. They already got 2 wins so I guess they will survive the elimination on this grouo stage.

I'm sure team secret win destroy a lot of parlay since BB is the heavy favorite while Secret is known for being the weakest team on their group same with OG.
889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin's Price dump to Halving? on: July 23, 2023, 03:00:16 PM
I think, this is the moment that crypto lovers have been waiting for, especially long-term investors. Because this is considered the main driving force because it is able to improve market conditions in the crypto asset market. For price dumps, I think the possibility is small and just the usual fluctuations that are usually done by speculators who play short term. If we look at historical data after the halving day of 2016, Bitcoin reached a new all-time high (ATH) in December 2017, with a price reaching around US$20,000. Continuing on a halving day of 2020, Bitcoin reached a new ATH in April 2021, at a price of around US$ 64,000. This value increased by more than 200% from the previous ATH. Yes. very little possibility BTC Price dump when Halving.

I think real crypto lover wants price above the previous all time high instead of this current price that is now struggling to break 31K level. As a trader, a sideways price an indecision phase which price go down or up without any assurance on the direction.

I think the dip on 15K is what every trader really want as perfect entry for trading. The current price is already on the uncertain part which I doubt that crypto lover really like.
890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Impact of Bitcointalk forum in our lives on: July 23, 2023, 02:52:46 PM
To me these forum is like a news channels because it has almost all the sectors were you could get information about crypto, economics, and Local Board which comprises of different countries sharing information about their country through there local boards.
Reading real news channel will make you updated rather than relying on the forum since this place is for discussion and you can’t catch on some thread if you didn’t know the reference topic. Forum is very good place to communicate to other people that shares same interests to Bitcoin since there’s only few people that you knew in real life that you can discuss Bitcoin or crypto in general.

I believe that through this forum so many persons has achieved something, please the floor is yours to share your knowledge and experience on how the forum has helped you in one way or the other.

The biggest achievement that I get through the forum is to become a solid investors of Bitcoin that guves me huge profit. Without forum, I think I will trust Bitcoin since there’s nothing I can read especially testimony of high rank members here during the time when Bitcoin is still early.
891  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a $60 loan on: July 22, 2023, 04:44:39 PM
Providing sign message on the Bitcoin wallet address that you use before in the forum will make this loan request attractive to lenders.
The account created in 2021 which means all the merits are earned and it's hard now a days to earn merits. I think it's okay to lend this user a $60. But OP, on the title it's $60 but in the topic you are asking for $100. Which is the correct amount?

With the case of peanutswar recently which his account is high rank that earned enough merits too, I think we should start making sign message as a must for taking a loan since the account might be  hacked without a trace.

I’m not accusing OP is hacked right now but he has no record of loan history on hist trust page and it’s better to play safe. Actually I mention on my post that has enough merit to be considered for a loan grant.
892  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a $60 loan on: July 22, 2023, 04:36:48 PM
Providing sign message on the Bitcoin wallet address that you use before in the forum will make this loan request attractive to lenders. @Shasan is the most active lender here in the forum which you can get a quick loan with your offered interest rate. You earned enough merit and enrolled to signature campaign which can give you a plus to acquire loan.

Ask directly on his thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5030169.0 for a quick loan.
893  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 22, 2023, 04:04:19 PM
I just decided to put this up here to see what you guys think about it. If you are in a situation that requires some funds immediately, would you go for a loan or would you sell one of your properties to solve the problem? And which of them is a better option, to sell property or to take a loan?
Taking the loan is the most convenient way since you can have access on instant liquidity while selling properties will take a lot of time if you need money for emergency purposes. Interest is nothing compared to the time that you will save since interest can be paid while time is irreversible.

You can sell the property afterwards getting the loan if you can’t pay the loan amount using your salary. Selling a property in rush always result to low price which is a bad option compared of paying an interest to a loan.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $1,080 Billion powerball lotto winner in the USA on: July 22, 2023, 03:17:43 PM
Winning a lot of money in the lottery game is the dream of many people, but only really lucky people can win it. Others can only watch and decide to keep buying lottery tickets even though winning the lottery takes a long time. Even though his winnings will be deducted from taxes, he still earns a lot of money, and it has exceeded his expectations, and only very lucky people can get it. But the unfortunate thing about the show is that the winner shows himself in public where people can see him. At least, that's what I read from the comments.

Elon is known Billionaire, I think that he can still manage to be safe after revealing the winner’s identity since he will still need the extra security even if he claim the reward privately because the people behind the lottery knew well his personal information.

Everyone that participates in lottery knew well about the tax. There’s no sad thing about it and you’re right that winning even fraction of the total prize is still an extraordinary thing to happened on a person entire life.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling scenario that keeps repeating on you on: July 22, 2023, 03:06:46 PM
Well, things are different now, I've always played a lot in terms of dice, why? because I've always looked for patterns a lot, for example I've seen that if I put a pattern Low low low-Hi, then HI hi Low, that's one of the ones I used, then I'd see the number that was even or odd, and play with that, then higher or lower, there are many patterns, only that the probabilities in the dice are so unpredictable that sometimes the patterns are invalidated and everything is left to chance, that's the most dangerous thing because it's when we lose the most players, so when that happens, I usually get I stop. when I won, and of course a person can lose control doing the martingale, which I do not recommend at all.

Is looking for the pattern works for you often times? When you think about it, Patterns on dice is considered as useless since the result is random which means those pattern are just form by coincidence.

I’m that you are still using pattern based strategy while you know that there’s a chance invalidate those pattern at some point. I’m sure you will be freaking out once you suppose to catch the pattern and turns out badly after you placed huge bets.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 22, 2023, 01:28:12 PM
It looks like BetBoom and Team Aster might be the strongest teams so far in Riyadh Masters but I do have faith that Talon will secure 2nd map against Aster and made them bleed a bit because since Kaka joined Aster , this team is looking a lot more powerful and disciplined during the draft and also the fights.  Smiley

No doubt about Betboom since they are always consistent and can give a good close fight against GG but we all know how inconsistent Aster is especially on Upper Bracket. They always choke on the first or second round until they got knock out when they are on lower Bracket.

GG is still by far the best since they are showing same meh game during group stage then surprised everyone with different strategy during playoffs. They are not showing their trump card during non crucial games which is their weapon for their consistency on all of their majors win.

899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Sells or Buy influence the market value ? on: July 21, 2023, 04:56:22 PM

I have been hearing for a long time that large-scale of selling and buying Bitcoin has a big impact on the market. So now a question arasie in my mind that how this proccess manupulate  the market. I wanna know some details from you guys.
Thank you

This sell is not done via market order which gives the market a room for a recovery. 8200 Bitcoin is not sold in one order or if ever it’s done with that, The liquidity on the exchange orderbook can handle this volume of selling since exchange already has a lot of capital to do that.

The FUD news is more dangerous to manipulate the market rather than a sell-off by a single entity since there’s a lot of retail traders willing to purchase during small dips.
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $1,080 Billion powerball lotto winner in the USA on: July 21, 2023, 02:34:53 PM
Just how lucky you have to be to win such a big amount. The winner probobly dosent want to wait and just wants the money. Even when the winner receives half its still too much money. But still the tax in the US is just to large. But still i guess the winner just wants the money. If it was me I would stay anonymous until I receive the money and hide it as much as possible. It can be risky if someone finds out that someone won that big amount of money.
One of the things that online gambling have brought us is the fact that we can maintain our anonymity as much as we can and still be ok with the whole outcome of the event,  even if you win a million dollar from gambling only you will know and your privacy will remain intact, unlike traditional casino where the third party like a bank will get involve and landing your winning with heavy tax that will reduce your total income from the winning.

But then if the lottery decided to promote their brand winner how then do we expect the ops to hide his identity since announcing the winner on national and other news outlets is part of the prize-giving ceremony?

But you will definitely undergo KYC on a casino if you ever manage to land on this kind of huge jackpot for AML policy compliance. The only difference is you don't need to be present physically to claim your prize in an online casino but you can't cashout this kind of money on gambling without sacrificing your anonymity in both online gambling and physical as long as you are playing in a casino that is compliant with the law. I think dodging tax that should be deducted on the prize pool is the best advantage you can ever have on playing with online casino.
