901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can you invest in bitcoin without being scammed? on: July 28, 2018, 06:05:56 PM
You have to take responsibility for your own security and take special precautions to stay safe.  For instance type in the url and triple check it.  Then save it to your bookmarks so you never make that mistake.  Have a separate computer to make your transactions and do not do any other web surfing from that computer.  Mostly simple stuff that is just inconvenient (but necessary)

Some very practical suggestions. I am using my smartphone only for crypto transactions (through apps for local exchanges ). I have also split the holdings in different exchanges to be safe. However, I completely agree with you regarding the use of another computer for these transactions especially if you are investing a large amount.

903  Other / Meta / Re: Your plans are clear and very transparent. Plagiarism on: July 28, 2018, 06:01:40 PM
Looks like a bot. Why will a spammer like to leave so much of proof behind ?

A possible solution to this case it blocking a member from making posts with repetitive content. I do not know how much of work it will take to integrate this on this forum but I have seen such features on other platforms.

905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Progress of Ripple and Steem in 2018 on: July 28, 2018, 05:50:29 PM

906  Other / Meta / Re: Lets talk Bitcointalk on: July 25, 2018, 09:01:01 PM

If you haven't got a signed message or pgp then I would just forget about the account because there's little to no chance of you getting it back.

Its alright i'm confident i'll get it back with or without the admins help, That's cool you have the right to feel that way.

Either way its good to know the scammer has been exposed at-least lol.

And how do you plan to do that ?

If you were so confident of recovering the account on your own , what is the point of this thread ?
907  Other / Meta / Re: Should merit system really exist? on: July 25, 2018, 08:58:51 PM
I have been writing meaningful and good quality posts since start of my journey on bitcointalk forum, but i have noticed that i have still not received appropriate number of merits. whereas some people are receiving merits for posting useless and meaningless posts because they have high position in the forum. According to me merit system is a bit partial and changes must be made to it. Only devs and admins should have smerit and they should reward it to the people making appropriate posts. Please let me know your views below. No hard feelings for anyone  Smiley

I am not sure what changes are you suggesting. Currently most of the merits come from merit sources and they are selected and monitored ( I assume ) by the admin . So the control is already with the most trusted members here.
908  Other / Meta / Re: Am I at Danger? on: July 25, 2018, 08:55:59 PM
In addition to the suggestion given above, you should also do a scan in case some malicious program got installed after clicking that link. You can read the procedure to do that online.
909  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, why are you hoarding your sMerit? on: July 25, 2018, 08:52:43 PM
Asking him to spend his time spending his merits is like asking Mark Zuckerberg to spend his time liking pics of Facebook users.

910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which countries do online gambling companies choose to be based on ? Why ? on: July 23, 2018, 06:31:47 PM
I really don't understand your question but if you want to operate a online gambling business, of course you need to get a license from gambling friendly countries like Curacao, Malta, Gibraltar or Costa Rica. I don't know about Macau although is Asia's equivalent of Las Vegas I don't think they allow giving out online license yet.

I wanted to ask that if you have to start an online gambling website and had the option to choose from any country all over the world, what would be your pick ?

Hope I am clear now.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online gambling games fixed? on: July 23, 2018, 06:29:51 PM
Yeah i agree with you i think online gambling site are fixed their computerized program and put the amount and player how got win and how munch money can get playing in online games.
Example on that the dice rolled which always got low number combination every to spin the machine.

The purpose of me opening this thread was to spot the websites or games that are actually fixed.

I never meant that all websites do that. There are genuine websites with reputable team working behind it. They are already making good revenue on tables as commissions and they will not put their reputation on stake by cheating.
912  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) on: July 22, 2018, 05:14:11 PM
So will I be getting paid for posts made in this week? Or will my post count start from next week?

If you are accepted, you will be paid for posts made thereafter. However, being active should give a good impression to any manager in my opinion.

Good luck.

You have posted in this wrong section. You should move it to appropriate place if this is even allowed on this forum.

Good luck with your project.

918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling related law in India on: July 22, 2018, 04:44:07 PM
As per a recent article online:

Trend of online gambling with crypto in India is on continuous rise. What is your opinion about this ?
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did the government want to kill Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2018, 04:39:53 PM
All governments are not against bitcoins. In fact any competent leader will be in support of crypto as it can solve a lot of economical problems in their country. At least, one should research about it with an open mind.

Problems occurs governments judge only based on past online scams and think that bitcoin is same.
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Ma, Anti Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2018, 03:20:08 PM
He lives in China and made a fortune. Do you think anybody living in China can disagree the Chinese government?
Sometimes people bullshit to act as patriot but I know in his sub conscious he know the worth of uncensored Internet and the potential of bitcoin.

This might be one of the reasons for making him that statement. But I do not think that he really meant that.

It is very hard to believe that someone who made fortune or is making his living with an online business, will be against crypto. I see him as someone who has already done similar work and got a  lot of recognition and money because of that.
