901  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How Do I Tell My Daughter That People Across Europe Fear Minorities Like Us? on: May 31, 2014, 10:43:27 PM
You cannot convince me that there are no bigots in the Muslim world. You cannot convince me that there are no extremist murderer kidnapper psycho sickos in the Muslim world. America has not yet forgotten 9/11, and if you've paid any kind of attention to the news lately, you'll know what those whackos now want to do to the nearly 300 girls they kidnapped -- and the Nigerian military doesn't seem to have enough testosterone to do anything about it. That said, I understand that these people are a minority and Christianity also has people like the Westboro "Baptist" Church, which doesn't even represent most Baptists and made headlines often enough to make all Christians look bad. My main thing is, if you don't want people to think bad of your entire religion, don't pull crap like flying planes into buildings or picketing a dead soldier's funeral, and then whine to everybody who will listen because you've suddenly realized that you've developed a massive public image problem
no one is trying to convince you about it, it's the opposite, but what you fail to see and realize here, is that there are between one to two billion Muslim around the world, and by far the vast majority are peaceful people that do no deeds, there are psychopaths, there are murders, but that is not exceptional! you can find in every community, religion, population..... the same amount of people doing the same things, if you check the last five years for example, there were far more people killed in America unrelated to anything Islamic, but once a single thing is related to Muslims appears it is always blown out of proportion, to augment the fear factor, and to augment the military, intelligence spending.....ect and to serve obviously some agenda.

tl,dr : In our world there are psychopaths no matter what the race, religion, country.... it is, there is just too much focus on the foreigners in general to serve certain agendas.

I agree with that, and basically other things in general. I think it's because countries are more shaded from what other countries, how the most 'important' things make the news. And by the time they come to another country, somebody has made it more dramatic, and replaced the need-to-know details with ones that don't tell the whole story. And the things that are going to be outlined more are either:

Race
Religion
Gender
Nationality
902  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cars Can be Hacked Now on: May 31, 2014, 10:36:05 PM
Really not a surprise. People can basically 'hack' anything right now, including human beings. Hacking a mere car isn't a surprise.
903  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you want superpowers? on: May 31, 2014, 10:34:26 PM
"I think the power of persuasion would be the greatest superpower of all time."

- Jenny Mollen

Just found this quote, and from looking back to my reply on this thread, this seems reasonable as a superpower.
904  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: May 31, 2014, 10:29:43 PM
Actually, you can add people in your trust list. So if someone you trust will give you positive feedback, you will see it as green. The same goes if he gives positive feedback to someone else.
However, if another person doesn't have him in his trust list, he won't see your green Trust under your avatar.
Of course, feedback from people in default trust list appear as red/green for almost everyone(except for those who edited the default list).

Jezz sounds rly confusing. I will check it out . I dont plan to do any trades just wanting to know Smiley . Tnx guys .

As I got it, we can exchange trusts as we see fit, and so will look green on everyone's screen, right? Grin

Actually somebody can see ur trust as green like +10 and somebody else can see u as -10 depending on his trust list so on whose feedback he value. Its rly rly fcn confusing Smiley Cheesy

And, it may actually appear under the 'Untrusted Section' if you give it to somebody, and you're not trusted.
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Millionaire Coin (MIL) - Poloniex IPO > Selling Fast! on: May 31, 2014, 10:24:44 PM
Nothing seems promising about this alt coin. It seems generic, just like the coin made fifteen minutes ago.

It is promising for the developers. They make money Grin

I guess that's true. Didn't they premine it? And why would they even make a IPO, if they 'believe so firmly' this is the best Altcoin? That alone should tell anybody to stay away. Hopefully nobody bought into the IPO.

907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you mine/invest in altcoins? on: May 31, 2014, 10:12:52 PM
I invest in them for fun. Not really to be too serious about them. But I'm not doubting some of their superiority.
908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: XBT > BTC on: May 31, 2014, 10:11:10 PM
XBT is designated for a currency that doesn't belong to a currency, and BTC's acronym.

We could just call it XBT or BTC if we want. No need to do 'BTC for this' or 'SAT for that'. Plus, SAToshi and a SAT could get confused.
909  Other / Off-topic / Re: What can I buy with ~0.4 bitcoin? on: May 31, 2014, 10:08:17 PM
Sushi rice + nori. Onigiri. Normally costs just $20 or over on Amazon, and you can buy some ramen as well. Totally not a fanboy of it.  Roll Eyes

Or if you're not obsessed with food like me, you could trade, hold, or you can buy something else off of Amazon. <---- Not a fanboy.
910  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you buy U.S. Collectable Coinage????? on: May 31, 2014, 09:56:15 PM
Starting this to see if anyone believes in buying rare and collectable gold versus bullion? U.S. coins preferably.

I think it depends on what they want to use it for. And if they want the gold to be IRA approved. Of course, both of them are IRA approved, but coins usually are less than bullions. And only certain types of rare coins are IRA approved, but they can go into other things basically like it.
911  Other / Meta / Re: Donators on: May 31, 2014, 09:44:47 PM
Hi,
Recently i clicked by mistake on the donate button waht i saw was that there is almost 100 people donated about 10 BTC each to the forum and also 20-30 people donated about 50 BTC each! This thing is HUGE! Are those people donated in the early days of BTC? 50 BTC nowadays costs like 31 000$! This is big donation for sure!  Shocked Shocked Shocked
Wish i was able to donate about 50 BTC :/
BR
Don't forget most of these donation were pretty old and at that time weren't close to their value today, maybe even some donators want their coins back Cheesy

It reminds me of the Alpaca sock ordeal. Early adapters spent hundreds of Bitcoins on them, and when the price rose, they regretted it.

I wonder if Theymos is going to ever change the donation price. I'm guessing nobody's going to off the bat donate that much currently.
912  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Malware and Spam emails : (Suspicious sign in prevented) on: May 31, 2014, 09:25:03 PM
Thanks for posting this. Do you have any idea how that got your E-Mail? Hopefully, I didn't get one.
913  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - UPDATED - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: May 31, 2014, 08:35:37 PM
Sorry to hear that you stopped the campaign. Thanks for everything, these 2 months I had joy and I get BTC while I contribute to forum. I hope your site will be in Bitcoin business for a long time.

Gotta agree. Tomorrow is going to be like a 'end game' for this campaign. Ritz got a ton of publicity from this signature campaign, and odd things have gone on on this thread. He deserves a nicely rolled onigiri.
914  Other / Meta / Re: Accuracy down to 98% on: May 31, 2014, 08:16:16 PM
Happened to me, too. Reported a guy for spamming all over the place. I guess they're just unhanded reports? That makes sense, since they're bombarded with reports everyday.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time is Running Out for Mark Williams Prediction of a $10 Bitcoin on: May 31, 2014, 07:58:08 PM
He didn't even use any logic, or tried to back up any of what he said. He should just pull a Metcalfe, and we can provide the blender.
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Satoshi Nakamoto become the richest person on earth? on: May 31, 2014, 07:21:15 PM
Isn't it just a estimate that he has 1 million Bitcoins? By the way, why do people keep saying 'if the price gets...'?
917  Economy / Services / Re: Selling MY signature. Cheap~! on: May 31, 2014, 07:16:35 PM
Well why don't you just wait until you reach member and sign up for a signature campaign?  Plenty of good offers if you look around.

I want a little bit of coin now, and those pay monthly/weekly and I still have like 10 days before I reach member status. I'm going to join one of those when I become a member, after this month is up if someone accepts my offer.

I've heard of Jr. Members getting deals, but really, some people won't consider it since it's not as noticeable. I also think Jr. Members have a limit, and they can't get colors and have small text.
918  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: May 31, 2014, 07:06:51 PM
i think we will see 10,000 later this year. just a hunch Cool

If we hit $10,000 in 2014, it'll be a serious bubble.  Check out http://cryptocoinstats.com/priceforecaster.php

When the big positive news will arrive (probably within 3months) we will cross 1000$ again then 1500$ up to 2000$? Maybe even 3000$?

I guess it depends on how big and how positive the news is.
If it is some really big companies like google, ebay or facebook accepting bitcoin, the price increase will be amazing, though I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Smiley

It could happen sooner than you think

Nothing is decided yet obviously

Yes, Bitcoin got more accepted when it hit $1,000 last year, out of nowhere. But ten times as that?

Best not to predict the price of Bitcoin. Anything is possible. Hey, we might have a crash like at the beginning of 2012. It might increase. Really, best not to predict. You'll give yourself false hope.
919  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Vircurex still working? on: May 31, 2014, 07:00:31 PM
Vircurex froze funds, because somebody withdrew a lot of Bitcoins. Isn't the first time it happened. But then they claimed it was 'hacks' and just locked the funds for good.
920  Other / Off-topic / Re: google shit plus on: May 31, 2014, 06:58:58 PM
Google+ is like the modern MySpace. Google really lucked out, it's one of the programs I'll never use from them. A people already aren't on Google's side for spying on them.
