It's great to see the broad base of support from the CC community, but disappointing to know that indiegogo's platform failed to produce donations of substance as of yet. When I search 'science' and see so many unproductive campaigns getting the prime search positioning above us I get steamed. Two days ago someone put up a photo (no video) of a castle, the campaign title was something to the effect of 'want to start a science university', has about 5 paragraphs of text, a goal of 3.5M euro and bingo, he's in first position for keyword 'science'. I noticed the campaign owner was an unverified 1 person team with no FB or Twitter connected followers, and no previous performance history with indiegogo yet he occupies first place on the 'science' search. Nevertheless, we've been working tirelessly to create a wealth of backlinks to connect the campaign to our keywords 'cryptocurrency', 'science', and 'crowd funding', in the primary search engines, in this way the campaign will continue to produce impressions for Dr. Havekes, EMC2, and the sponsors for a long while. Although we are on track for exceeding our base goal I thought we would be working on our first performance goal by now. This experience has enabled us to create some protocols and guidelines for different aspects of the whole process of CF, marketing, campaigning, and campaign mgmt. Believe it or not, it's very difficult to find science projects worthy of funding, if anyone thinks it's easy please take the job. In the run up to the campaign I saw a number of other Science related campaigns that were very interesting, I reached out to some of them, 'videos for science teachers' campaign responded. I think it would be good for EMC2 to be one of their youtube channel sponsors, that's something we will discuss after our respective campaigns have concluded. That experience opened up a new marketing tool for us. So we created an account for The Einsteinium Foundation with the intent on finding worthy science projects to donate $1 to. The donation will allows us to support the campaign, allows the campaign owners to be introduced to and learn about EMC2, and allows us to contribute comments to the campaign that are visible to all who visit that campaign. This high quality, and highly efficient form of outreach can lead to finding EMC2 grant candidates too. The more active EMC2 is in the CF space the more headway we create for the CC industry. That's a great idea to send $1 to worthy science campaigns from the EMC2 Foundation. Maybe you could tell them that if they would accept an EMC2 donation you could give them more a little more in the form of EMC2? Sounds frustrating. I never imagined it would be hard to find campaigns to fund. But with the long term thinking you guys have I am sure it will definitely pay off in the end for EMC2 being able to carry out its mission. Feel free to tweet some stuff to @hypercrypto and we can spread the word a little. A dedicated EMC2 youtube channel is a great idea. That would be something and as most of the support is from cryptocurrencies (especially EMC2) why not? It would get a lot of press too as there is nothing quite like it as of yet. Beats waiting around for Indiegogo or another site to add cryptocurrency support. With coinpayments it wouldn't be too hard to set up either. Two things that were only announced today that weren't in the HYPER update video (not your fault things are changing so rapidly around here!): - The HYPER web wallet at http://hypergg.com will not only allow staking and be fully accessible on mobile devices, it will also allow anonymous obstructed transactions, and instant HYPER transactions between users. This is amazing as it means HYPER can also be a privacy centric currency as well as catering to gamers. - The team at http://www.vslayers.me/ should be adding HYPER soon when they launch their hack n slash MMO. I can also offer a small amount of HYPER (say 250) per month that you can give out to players however you like. An auction sounds like a good idea. Is there some timeframe on how long hyper coins have to age before they will start staking?
Are they based on age and gain "weight"?
Or will they start as soon as you get them in your wallet?
IN my experience a bit more than 24 hours...just let your wallet sync. I leave mine running unlocked. Should we be splitting into smaller amounts of coins to optimize staking, like how some other coins tell you to do? If so, what is optimal amount / size? Doesn't matter. Let's say you had 100 weight with 100 coins If you split the coins, you now have 50+50 weight = 100 weight The only difference here is that with 50+50, you can hit one while you wait for the other. With 100, you'd have to hit that one. But in all actuality, it really doesn't matter. You're going to average the same earnings regardless. In one sense Ranlo is right it doesn't matter. However, as HYPER stakes every 24 hours, you will find that if you are staking all day everyday, after a week or two you will find the smaller staked amounts stake themselves smaller and smaller amounts ad infinitum. It is advisable to do the opposite and instead of dividing your coins into chunks, reset the coin age on the whole lot so they can start staking again as a whole chunk again after a week or two Due to the high frequency of staking and transactions it is also advisable to take a backup of your wallet.dat regularly and keep ALL backups somewhere safe. |

Wow meowball this HYPER web wallet at http://hypergg.com sounds like it will exceed my expectations! Anonymous transactions between web wallet users sounds awesome too. Please make sure to practice good security and to keep most of the coins in cold storage (or for staking purposes on a separate highly secure machine that is not on the server) to minimize risk from hackers. I wouldn't recommend keeping most of the coins on the actual server. Can't wait to see it and test the beta! |

November 2013 it was $55. Now it's $1.71. I feel bad for people that bought in back then,  . I feel sorry for those people too. The problem with LTC is that while it has plenty of miners and is well known its ecosystem is severely limited. That is why HYPER has such a strong focus on having an extensive ecosystem. |

the new server is delivered now.
I will start with configuration as well as wallet installation, this will take a couple of hours.
The Poker table is not re-designed, my question is what you guys think about whether or not I should re-design it.
I personally prefer to design it later on, so we could go live with HYPER deposits..
