Matthew - you are doing horrific damage to this community.... thanks.

Concern troll much?

Matthew is awesome and what he is doing is hilarious.  You are spending a creepy amount of time following him around, imitating him, etc.

I second Graet's suggestion for a pirate sub.  Let's call it "Bitlame & mem's FUD ghetto."

except you just quoted my last 2 replies.

Next time try not be worse than the person you attack Wink
942  Other / Meta / Re: Proposed removal of Matthew N Wright from forum staff. on: August 23, 2012, 08:23:01 AM
We're surrounded by trolls and people who hide behind the veil of anonymity.
IE pirate, the guy holding all the btc.
He's anonymous? Since when?

Ok now I am changing my opinion, I believe you are indeed a scammer.
943  Other / Meta / Re: Proposed removal of Matthew N Wright from forum staff. on: August 23, 2012, 08:16:49 AM
Can I recommend to OP to update the title to "People who don't like Matthew"?

No matthew I have no issue with you as a person, I just take a very large issue with the dangerous bets and attitude to free speech you have.

Oh I don't have a problem with free speech. I have a problem with defamation. We're surrounded by trolls and people who hide behind the veil of anonymity.

IE pirate, the guy holding all the btc.

By making a bet, I've given a way for true believers to actually make a profit off of their belief and make a louder message to the community that they were in fact, correct. You have a problem with this awesomeness?

I like how you very carefully reworded "I attack anyone that attacks pirate by saying bet or shut the fuck up" - it sounds much less like scare tactics the way you frame it.

I dont see any awesomeness, I see a 17yo that is running a scam or has delusions of the grandeur.

how about a "Pirate " subforum till this shitstorm blows over, so many threads in so many forums its becoming a joke
mods could just dump all the pirate threads there for those that care Smiley

Pretty soon here there will only be one thread that anyone will post in.

The "Matthew wins 10,000BTC!" thread.

Matthew - you are doing horrific damage to this community.... thanks.

Drama much?

this from the 17 year old that said "Id shoot myself in the head to teach people a lesson".

Would you mind outline the 'horrific damage' I'm causing please?

Its been outlined 100 times but you ignore it.

To summarize:

Believe pirate or take your money and bet to prove you dont or STFU

^ what an ugly ugly anti freedom of speech stance to take.
Additionally its very obvious a scare tactic designed to put you in control of any topic about pirate - it is fucking sickening.

I cut you some slack though, you are still just an ignorant kid with plenty of growing up to do,  the fact anyone would put money in your hands after the zhou tong proves there is a sucker born every second.
946  Other / Meta / Re: Proposed removal of Matthew N Wright from forum staff. on: August 23, 2012, 07:59:31 AM
I'm not saying he broke any rules I'm saying he's straight out dishonest and as such him being listed as staff is quite frankly speaking a disgrace for the forum.

Sadly there are a few staff members almost as bad as Matthew. This forum is almost nothing but criminals anymore. Mathew as a leading scammer fits right in.  Angry

Just check out the bets they are running about pirate in the gambling sub forum.

948  Economy / Gambling / PIRATE AR 10'000% return on your bets - Allowing bets up to 21 trillion bitcoins on: August 23, 2012, 07:55:38 AM
Hi, Pirate and BFL decided to sponsor me running this bet, dont ask them though as its super secret.

THE BET - Anyone stupid enough to
  • invest with pirate
  • join matthews bet
  • Join Micons bet

Will eventually win the darwin award.

Im supporting bets of up to 21 trillion bitcoins per individual.

Send a minimum of 0.001 btc to 13hdJdJtjMsVqWikhwGog4wn3BURbJNB4h
then reply here with your payout address and txid.

Should pirates investors, mathews & micons betters not remove themselves from the human race and collect the darwin award you will be paid out 10'000% of your bet. The bet runs for the entirety of all investor and bettors natural life.
The bet closes early if Mathew or Micon put their head in a bucket of water 3 times and pull it out 2x.

How can I support bets of this size ? well you will have to trust me - but I can assure you I do have serious backing Wink

950  Other / Meta / Re: gambling sub forum query on: August 23, 2012, 07:37:40 AM
Nah, the person who reported them has only posted in any of the Pirate related threads once, the rest are mostly speculation posts

I dont see how this disqualifies anything, but ok.

I think you will be doing everyone a great disservice burying moving the topics when they specifically relate to concerns of the gambling sub forum - it feels like a forced split:
"Dont want to watch another round of users get horribly burned by insecure bets run by a 17 yo .... THEN FUCK OFF OUT OF HERE."

Id like the gambling sub to remain a gambling sub and not the new home of scam artists/"long term lenders" and ridiculous insecure bets, enabling these snakes is a horrible thing to inflict on the gambling community - especially when you intentionally remove all warning threads from the sub forum.

I think If people saw the benefit of discussing a "bet" (bet not service) in this services sub forum it would already be happening. These are the 1st gambling topics i see in the sub forum and frankly bets are not services. Discussing the risks of a bet is directly related to the topic of the gambling sub forum.

bitcoiners fall for another classic scam/ grift.
So far we have had the race horse scam, jewelry (need to sell) scam and to many ponzi's to boot.

Dont feel bad, you just paid for a valuable life lesson.
952  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: enough of these insane pirate bets - MEMS list of fools bets on: August 23, 2012, 07:19:00 AM
I trust Matthew far more than betsofbitco.in.

Why ? betsofbitco.in has had 0 reports of payout issues and  they run some reasonable sized bets.
They have been operating for a long time, Id say they have definitely demonstrated they can be trusted to handle wagers.

What gives matthew more credibility that betsofbitcoin in your book ?
has he previously run bets without issue, involved in an online casino ?

betsofbitco.in is anonymous though, so you can't really verify which person really bet. Less drama, etc.

Agreed - so we have an anon corp that has been doing online gambling with 0 complaints for ~6 months vs a 17yo with no experience or apparently the btc to backup this bet he is running.

There is no logical reason to trust Matthew, if you wish to take a leap of faith then follow me to the nearest cliff Tongue
953  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pirate's been busy. Suppressing talk takes time. on: August 23, 2012, 05:45:40 AM
since when has pirate had op privileges on #bitcoin-otc

Throwing out my FUD theory: some Staff of bitcointalk.org/ ops @ #bitcoin-otc are involved with pirates scam.
954  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Quick Question - What if Pirate didn't say he would pay in a week or two? on: August 23, 2012, 05:39:07 AM
After 6 weeks, would the pro-Pirate people be saying, "Well... he did say it could take 2 months..."?

XXXX and the rest of his shills will start claiming they have been paid, tell you all to "SHUT THE FUCK UP OR YOU WILL GET PUT ON THE BOTTOM OF PIRATES LIST"

then some other shills will say "PUT YOUR FUCKING MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS OR SHUT THE FUCK UP"

Basically, intimidation tactics and nothing else.
955  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why I don't think Pirate will default on: August 23, 2012, 05:36:08 AM

956  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The gauntlet has officially been thrown down by Trendon Shavers aka. pirateat40 on: August 23, 2012, 03:02:12 AM
Wouldn't someone have to break a contract and have no intention to pay to be considered a scammer? Has there been a contract broken? Is there implied intention to pay?

Yes. I know you have a lax understanding of what a deadline is, but Pirate failed to repay bitlane on time and then again on his second self-given deadline. That's a broken contract already, regardless of possible future mitigation.

Then he proceeded to add insult to injury with his messages.

Just me spreading FUD but: Im going to call it, at least one of the admins are involved with pirate and want to give him as much time as possible to wind up his scam.

958  Other / Meta / Re: gambling sub forum query on: August 23, 2012, 02:54:02 AM
Should users be able to discuss gambling games and bets in the sub forum or does it belong in the Service Discussion ?
For example - warning about a potential scam bet, does that belong in the gambling sub forum - i say yes.

My argument for is that the gamblers look for info about bets etc in the sub forum.

We are seeing posts that attempt to warn users against dangerous bets reported and removed - I see this is an attempt to hide the very real danger from potential gamblers by the people running the bets.
I'm the one who moved his thread, specifically this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=102615.0 to the Service Discussion subforum. At this logic, I'm not too sure about the use of the 'Service Discussion' subforum anymore - as moving discussion threads there is apparently 'hiding the very real danger' about that specific service. I remember going through this debate last week when me and BadBear moved most of Bitcoinica's discussion threads there.

Hi Jon, thanks for replying.

Im not suggesting that you are aiming to hide any information but id dare say the person that reported my thread is the same person who is vehemently attacking everyone for questioning these dubious bets and I do believe hiding the information is their goal.
