961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMR] One Click Monero Miner on: August 03, 2016, 07:54:48 AM
--Do you run crypto-pool.fr?

Yes with perl, he's the tech guy but he doesn't talk too much.

--I'm using the default pool in the program. (crypto-pool.fr). I entered my MyMonero.com Monero address in your program before running your program. Will your program automatically put a payout in my MyMonero.com wallet when there's a payout, or do I have to do some action for it to pay out?

Nothing else to do, a Monero address is enough. If you think that your payout is taking too long, PM me your address, I'll have a look.

--Is the first payout to one computer connected to the crypto-pool.fr pool, with all defaults left in program (truly one-click), likely to be in the order of hours, days or weeks?

Well it really depends on your mining power. At the time I did the one click miner, the difficulty was much lower but nowadays mining is professional. Some miners got thousands of CPUs or hundreds of GPUs.

Looking forward to seeing what we can do with the source code on our end.
Thank you for your service!

I'm still looking for it. You're welcome.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMR] One Click Monero Miner on: August 02, 2016, 07:25:21 PM
--Will it work with a online wallet? I'm using mymonero.com. (I wasn't able to get the Light Wallet working, even with simplewallet in the same directory, and the full wallet gets stuck downloading the Monero blockchain at about 90% for days now, so I closed it.)

Yes it will work.

--How long will it take to pay out some XMR? I've been running the One-Click Monero Miner for 7.5 hours. Was expecting to at least get some dust by now.

I cannot tell. It depends if you reach the minimum payout and it depends on how often the pool do the payouts per day.
You can mine with multiple computers on the same address to accelerate the payout.

--Do you have the source code for the One-Click Monero Miner anywhere? I'd love to adapt it to some other CryptoNote coins. I saw about 40 pages back where someone asked for source code, but it seems like the answer was to the Monero source, not to the One-Click Monero Miner source.

I will send you via PM when I find it. It's on one of my laptop somewhere.
It will be easy for you to update and improve it.

--Avast flags the One-Click Monero Miner as a virus. Based on your trust level on here, I'm sure it's not. And I'm running it on a spare machine with no financial info or passwords (other than MyMonero). Is this just an issue of Avast?
Thank you for your service!

Avast will flag any CPU miner as a virus because there are a lot of virus that use the CPU to mine. It's normal, no worries.
If I was a hacker, I would not bother building a reputation.

No premine, no forks here, you get pure ethereum

No Ethereum community. Perfect.

Thanks a lot for this thread !

Is this on exchanges Yet? if so which ones?

No exchanges before we reach 1000 nodes.
You can trade OTC or on the Nxt asset exchange.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: July 13, 2016, 10:28:27 AM
Are null nodes those that have 'null' for latestPacketReceived for 'getNeighborActivity'?

Yes, if you see 'null', it's a null node.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: July 13, 2016, 10:12:42 AM
isnt that whole neighbor ip-address thing rather deterring for average joe users? Will it be gone some time so that you just start the wallet and can do transactions - if yes, when?

The average Joe can always improves, it's a good training.
This could all be automated of course : node discovery and banning.
We could also have online wallets.

At least the tangle works and that's the most important.
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: July 13, 2016, 09:36:33 AM
- ban those nodes by listing them with a minus sign in the Server Config
For ban to work properly "udp://" and ":14265" should be removed.
Deleting the null nodes is the easiest way.

It doesn't stop them from connecting to you. Once they know you, they will try to connect and send you data.

Ok updating...

I succeeded in making the client work properly. Here is how to do :

 - go on iotatangle.slack.com and iotatangle.slack.com and ask for node IPs
 - put the IPs in the Server Config
 - let it run for a while
 - ban the default node 188.138.57.93 from your list by changing the + into - like this :
Code:
-188.138.57.93

 - go to Neighbor's Activity menu and list the nodes that have the highest seenTransactions score
 - also list the nodes that have null attribute
 - ban those nodes by listing them with a minus sign in the Server Config

EDIT :

For ban to work properly "udp://" and ":14265" should be removed.

BEWARE, do not buy overprieced IOTA
The following members currently sell overprieced IOTA (2000 - 10000% above ICO price):
These sellers will try to scam you out of your BTC.
IOTA market price on exchanges will not be above 0,5 BTC / 100Giota
This price was said to be "probable" by the main IOTA dev.

lmao, you haven't seen my price.
Those are amateurs.
I should be number one of your list.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: July 11, 2016, 09:51:07 PM
Right now the network is lagging and new transactions do not seems to confirm, I suggest to come back tomorrow until devs figure out.
Devs won't help there, we need more nodes.

I keep mine online all night but I won't be clicking rebroadcast until tomorrow.
I need some sleep.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: July 11, 2016, 09:17:47 PM

Wow guys hold on.

The only thing to do today is :

1. If you claimed your iota before, then open that old wallet with your seeds in the very last client available :
https://github.com/IOTAledger/iota-gui-beta/releases/tag/1.0.0-minus1

2. Generate one address and wait for 3.8 Ti to appear in your balance.

3. Repeat 2. until you get to your total amount of iota.

4. Close your old wallet, create a new one, create a new address and write it down.

5. Reopen your old wallet and send everything to the new wallet.

Done.
If you didn't claim your iota, do nothing today.

Right now the network is lagging and new transactions do not seems to confirm, I suggest to come back tomorrow until devs figure out.

Physical BTC > Gold & Silver

It's very hard to imagine but I guess I would find a job, buy all my bitcoins back and be much more careful.

Shit happen, never give up. It's never too late.

Has anyone here ever configured a GPU specific server on a hosting platform or through a host provider to mine Monero.  Or configured a server running NVIDA Tesla GPU's?  Just wondering if it can be done and also what might the cost be to use one per month?

It has been done by some miners on Monero long ago. They used nvidia GPU from Amazon but I don't think it's profitable anymore unless you have a very optimized mining software.
