961  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinsbin.com - Is coinsbin.com a scam? on: May 30, 2014, 03:33:37 PM
You should probably search on the forums, or any Bitcoin related blog/news site.
962  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It seems that Vircurex/cryptostocks runs again with our money. on: May 30, 2014, 03:31:57 PM
In early March, this was when the freezing started, right? I pretty much bolted at that point, and ran with my coins. This isn't the first time Vircurex has been shady.
963  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How Do I Tell My Daughter That People Across Europe Fear Minorities Like Us? on: May 30, 2014, 06:54:21 AM
Oh. I didn't even know some Europeans said "to Jew". Is that commonly used, or just 'there'? There's still bouts of Xenophobia in the U.S (Now targeted from Islams, and such.) and racism is still breathing, but going that far to create a verb...

I still hear it in the UK, mostly from people of my generation and my parent's generation. For example, a footballer dives and a supporter shouts:

"Ignore him ref, he's jewing you!"

Most people don't even realise that it refers to Jews. Maybe 100 years from now we will call it "Musliming you" - that's progress for you.

The UK was a reasonably anti-Semitic place, anti-Semitism was actually one of the driving forces behind Britain's support for the creation of Israel. Lord Balfour was an anti-Semite, didn't like Jews and didn't want them coming to the UK, so he thought the creation of a Jewish state would mean he could redirect European Jews into Palestine, rather than seeing them in the UK.

That's interesting. Are there any strict laws on using slurs, or vulgar comments to different races or religions currently? Like fines, or is it unnoticed?
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Can Now Buy Bitcoin Mining Hardware From Walmart, TigerDirect on: May 30, 2014, 06:51:32 AM
You're better off buying BTC.

I sort of agree. I'd only buy it to resell it for a higher price locally.  Wink

Anyway, buying Bitcoin could return a profit now that difficulty has gone up a bit. If this was in 2011, or when ASICs first came out, that would return the profit in a day or so. Might take a month to re-earn your investment now.
965  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long have you been logged in for? on: May 30, 2014, 06:48:45 AM
After pulling a few all-nighters, I've managed to at least spend a little more time on the forum. So now, I have:

9 days, 1 hours and 17 minutes.
966  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How Do I Tell My Daughter That People Across Europe Fear Minorities Like Us? on: May 30, 2014, 06:44:13 AM
How can people still be this idiotic? World War II happened decades ago. Really long time to learn from mistakes... That happened because of... What? Mostly Isolation, and not wanting to aid in the fight.

Europe is still infected with nationalism, and with nationalism comes xenophobia, racism and everything else. I've read a lot of the anti-Semitic propaganda from 100 years ago, it's so frighteningly similar to what I read being written about Muslims today. "To lie, cheat and swindle?" That's why we still have the verb "to Jew" someone, meaning to lie to them, to cheat or swindle them.

Oh. I didn't even know some Europeans said "to Jew". Is that commonly used, or just 'there'? There's still bouts of Xenophobia in the U.S (Now targeted from Islams, and such.) and racism is still breathing, but going that far to create a verb...
967  Economy / Lending / Re: ★★★ Offering Loans! [Up to 0.5] ★★★ on: May 30, 2014, 06:38:55 AM
Oh thank you. Finally the end of that 'no collateral loans' era is slowly coming to a end. I thank you, for opening up one of the loan services that does collateral. Definitely not encouraging scammers.
968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Buy BTC? on: May 30, 2014, 06:37:08 AM
cash --> localbitcoins

no 3rd parties, no paper trails, no nothing.

This is the best method. A least likely chance to get scammed, and you can sometimes get more. Exchanges are somewhat risky depending on the amount of money you move.

970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or LTC will replace Paypal some day? on: May 30, 2014, 06:32:11 AM
In a few years, or so, and when more people accept it. Merchants, and as a currency. Though, getting ahead of Visa is what we should be worried about. Visa can bitch out Mastercard any day, and pretty much everything above. Visa is like the beast of currencies, with Bitcoin evolving.

I don't get how American Express is that far up, though? It's barely used in the state I live in. Nobody that I know even uses one.
971  Other / Off-topic / Re: Favourite cartoon show on: May 30, 2014, 06:28:16 AM
Many, I guess. But I think I watched old school Scooby Doo, Tom & Jerry, Spongebob (New, but who couldn't watch this?), Road Runner, Flintstones, and the Looney Toons more than others.
972  Other / Off-topic / Re: 250 Posts Reached! on: May 30, 2014, 06:25:28 AM
Congratulations on the milestone. Be sure to take in mind, quality over quantity.

He's right. We don't want a spamming Dank and Joey around. That would be humorous, and terrible (Joey's part) at the same time. However, if you're a non-spamming Dank and Joey mixed together, I don't think many will mind.
973  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jesus Is Lord on: May 30, 2014, 06:20:09 AM
This is a great way to let everyone know that Jesus died for our sins..........But at the same time mows my grass once a month.

If only this lord of yours ever existed, would have made the story more valid

Historians are actually quite certain the man did exist. The question of divinity is more an issue of personal belief.

Yeah? Historians also were certain that Stone Cold Steve Austin would win Wrestlemania 19, 20, 24, 27 and 29.

The man Jesus Christ did in fact exist. Whether or not he was divine is for each person to decide. Not sure what any of this has to do with any wrestling star but okay.

I'm going to also guess there was at least one person named Jesus Christ in the world. We're humans. We think of names like bottlecaps. I also agree with you on the divine entity part, and it's really nobodies power to decide who decides for them. I'm not really into that, and could care less if Jesus Christ was/is real or not. Pretty sure I'm going to limbo anyway.
974  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for your signature from FXOpen. Weekly payouts. on: May 30, 2014, 06:15:56 AM
Good to see FXO is legit, and whatnot. However, will you try to reclaim being the highest signature campaign?
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Really Save Money? on: May 30, 2014, 06:14:09 AM
It'll depend on what the Bitcoin cost will be.

Anyway, I don't think companies with Fiat have made a difference. For instance, did you know that the department that makes the most at Wal-Mart are from the Bank fees at the store? And don't forget the loan, check, and credit card fees.
976  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: habitual paypal scammer on: May 30, 2014, 06:11:50 AM
What country is he from, and city if you have it? I'm not from any European country, so I don't want to assume it's Lat or Lith and can't read the ID.

Take a look at the telephone bill. Address shows Kaunas, Lithuania...

My bad. Sometimes I scan over the most obvious things. And you know, us people from 'murica ain't good at writing, reading, typing, or reading.
977  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Military Is Building Brain Chips to Treat PTSD on: May 30, 2014, 06:07:12 AM
These psychos are freakin' crazy. This can't be real.

But then again, it's just our loving big brother knocking at our bedroom door, that wants to inject us with chips that can control our brain! And the brain doesn't control anything...
Right?

It certainly leaves room for the conspiracy theorists to question. If it truly is something that can give people relief from a debilitating disease I think it is a great development.

Isn't it odd how it's 'for the military'? Why not for all people with PTSD? Why would they risk harming a soldier? If each soldier is precious to the military, why would it be to the military?

Each soldier is far from precious to the military. The current VA scandal is proof enough of that. Our country also fails miserably to protect them in combat as well. During the Iraqi insurgency armor for the Humvees was deemed to costly even though our troops were getting blown up every day by IEDs.

Trust me man, everything stating that Soldiers aren't useful to the Gov is made by over-grown conspiracy theorists. At least, that's what my Government told me! They also told me about ObamaCare, but don't worry, that'll come soon.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Start the Summer with BEECOINV2, BEE2 on: May 30, 2014, 06:05:10 AM
The bee for the coin icon looks evil. Anyway, this coin seems generic as almost any other one does.
