961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🌟🌟 Datum - Unlock the Bln $$ Data Economy - ICO 29th October - 🌟🌟 on: October 24, 2017, 02:15:25 PM

There will be algorithms which will find out who creates fake data. I don't think this will be a big problem because it's not worth the effort.

Pretty comfortable to say that algorithms will just appear miraculously, which can decide what is fake data and what's not.

And to your other argument. I think Rigorous example with Ashley Madison showed that it can indeed be worth the effort to create such fake data.
What is an example with Ashley Madison? The main task is to collect real data.

Let us say a business like Ashley Madison is going to source their profiles from Datum. An individual on the seller side could create a few thousand fake female profiles. Datum is already aware of that exploit, that is why they are planning to link Datum accounts to identity verification services such as uPort and Civic as well as social media profiles.

It is a necessary step otherwise people will sell whole lot of fake data in order to earn free money.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: October 24, 2017, 02:12:36 PM
I think it’s good that soma is already listed, even on ether delta, this exchange is not so user friendly but at least it is decentralized. And remember that soma will be listed on other exchanges after the ico.

As i know, every coin based on Ethereum platform is automatically listed on Ether Delta, so this is not something big. Let's wait for other exchanges, because on Etherdelta trading is almost impossible. People keep there only dust Smiley

No they do not. You gotta pay a little fee to get it listed on the site. One can always use the contract address way though but, that' not user friendly at all.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: October 24, 2017, 02:10:46 PM
News about Utrust on cointelegraph. They have a good adversiting  Roll Eyes

https://cointelegraph.com/news/imagine-paypal-juiced-by-blockchain-steroids

There, the article even says that UTRUST is superior to Paypal. It's probably premature to say so.

Imho. UTRUST is definitely superior to Paypal because it has great features that Paypal doesnt have.

Exactly if utrust delivers what they are promising then it will surely be superior than the Paypal.

965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] UTRUST The future of online payments is here. on: October 23, 2017, 03:24:28 PM
10 more days to go for the UTRUST crowdsale , hope we can finish the ico early so UTRUST can proceed with the next developments for UTRUST.

This is good news I searched their website and it says there that UTRUST ICO starts on November 2, 2017, 2pm UTC. Can't wait to participate at Utrust ICO crowedsale. As of now they will only accept ETH/BTC wallet. Smiley Smiley Smiley (reference from their website)

As far as the tech goes Utrust have all the chances of selling out before the ICO ends.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: October 21, 2017, 01:00:06 PM
Maybe the team should give some more info out, or something intresting to keep the attention on the project. Big distraction are going to hapen all the time
Agree , and extend the ICO maybe, at least a few days after the fork.

There are a lot of projects currently who extend their sales or bounty programs. It would be good for SOMA if they also think about extending the ICO. The hard fork will be a chaotic time..

If I had to guess, btc will dump right after the snapshot date for the BTCG fork, so if people were looking to get into SOMA, the best bang for buck would probably be to buy into the ICO a day before the fork

And after that there will be another fork for segwit2x, in mid november but people keep talking about that crap (bitcoin gold), maybe we will see massive FUD on btc after bitcoin gold fork

People are now forking mindlessly on every argument they have. This way we will have 100s of coins without any improvement.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | PARAGON | Revolutionizing the Cannabis Industry | on: October 21, 2017, 12:39:18 PM
What is the current price? Will your product expand mostly in the US or do you have plans to move it to europe? Netherlands?

I think they will start in the US, and open there the first Paragon Center. After this, I hope they will expand to maybe Europe or other places.

Yes, Europe would be a good place to start. Also South-America seems promising. I heard Cannabis is legalized in Peru Smiley

It's going to be US, in a cannabis friendly state. you gotta start somewhere easy first and then expand.

US government is always troublesome. They like to poke everywhere they want. Europe is best place to start with.
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🌟🌟 Datum - Unlock the Bln $$ Data Economy - ICO 29th October - 🌟🌟 on: October 21, 2017, 12:36:10 PM
sorry if i overlooked that.

how can our data be verified? Or is it possible to sell fake data?

There's no way to verify the legitimacy of the data. It can be thought upto a certain point using the AI. Not sure if datum will use it or not.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: October 21, 2017, 12:33:43 PM
Yes l also think that have the possibility tu use a lot of different coin and token is great for Utrust. You will be able to reach more people if you allow a lot of coin, and Utrust will do it. UTRUST can really become a big platform for online payment, even the biggest in crypto world.

Exactly more the number of coins supported more will be the reach.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] [NaPoleonX] 1st 🌟French🌟 algorithmic crypto asset manager 🚀 on: October 18, 2017, 01:49:30 PM
It's hard on such a volatile sector as cryptos. A month is lots of time! It also depends on the investor's profile, a day trader will be interested in a shorter range tool.

considering the volatility of the market , which is almost constant, you can make a lot of money if you have good prediction algorithms. we'll see what the bots are capable of.

It will be hard to predict cryptocurrencies, especially the ones with low liquidity. Even Bitcoin is crazy. AI and algorithms are no magic wands, you need to feed them data. There could be too little reliable data to make an algorithm with. That is why NaPoleon Crypto based 9 our of 10 of their DAFs on traditional markets with over 20 years of historic data.

But they are not based completely on data from traditional markets, right? I could imagen that there are differences between traditional markets and crypto markets, especially how fast a coin can rise and drop.

Will they be programmed by the NapoleonX or user need to set some parameters?
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: October 18, 2017, 01:46:37 PM
A large userbase is very necessary and for a large userbase utrust need to support many different currency.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 ⚡🚀ANN: GATCOIN Blockchain Rewards Program for Mainstream Retailers🌟 ⚡🚀 on: October 14, 2017, 05:06:41 PM
well, a little airdrop campaign for gatcoin tokens will be really nice and could spread the awareness of this project even more >< just a little amount would be perfect >< hrrr

If ICO has already been announced, and then airdrop is suddenly announced, it will be perceived as a decrease in the value of the project, and not as a spread to attract attention. So it's hardly necessary to do this.

I agree with you. Airdrop is not a good idea while ICO is near. Airdrop should be used for the marketing purpose but not when ICO is yet to start.

Just checked the demo and it's quite impressive. Now I am looking forward to the ICO.

It would be nice if user is able to buy boost with multiple currencies and not just FIAT.
Atleast GZR should be supported.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] [NaPoleonX] 1st 🌟French🌟 algorithmic crypto asset manager 🚀 on: October 14, 2017, 04:57:49 PM
Can anybody tell me when the ICO finishs?

I just checked their website but cant find an enddate. However if they reach the hardcap of 100.000 Ethereums the ICO is finished.

Is it possible that an ICO (of Napoleonx in this case) has no end date?

An end date gives more credibility and trust in the project, no end date would sound few alarm bells for me.

There should be an end date whether you raise expected amount or not. What's the point of an ICO if it doesn't end at a particular time.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: October 14, 2017, 04:56:23 PM
About those angel investors. Here is some proof:

This comes from Jukka Hilmola (Co-Founder of SOMA) on Telegram

We managed to raise funding on very early stage with 1,5M valuation from Finnish angel investors, which is a quite remarkable achievement taking into account the phase we were back then. Soma also had a minor pre-sale with a very limited publicity, mainly to have a proof of concept in the ICO markets.

We have closed two funding rounds from Finnish angel investors before our ICO. With this capital, we were able to deliver our iOS-application for testing, and very soon we are releasing a new updated version of it. This new version will include core features that are crucial for a C2C-platform. Blockchain related features are designed to be released on our MVP according to our roadmap.

We decided not include soft cap as we were already backed up by angel investments before the ICO round and ICO is a complementary round to develop our software further.

So they have Finnish angel investors and a minor pre-sale. Users in the chat are talking about a total of 6M USD but this is not confirmed by devs.
Hope this info is proof Smiley

still, would be nice to see those names of the angel/initial investor, since 1.5m investment is not a investment of a tiny unnamed fish ><"

I agree with you. If there are big fish then every person involved should know about them.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: October 14, 2017, 04:54:32 PM
afaik paypal dont have support for cryptocurrencies. they discussed this sometimes ago and denied it, due to the high volatility of bitcoin and all the other cryptos.

Indeed, there were plans with Bitcoin but then there was a huge dump and scared Paypal away.
This is a good thing Smiley, now UTRUST can take there place in the upcoming years.

Less fees! Finally! Cheesy

I think Paypal will also eventually offer payment with bitcoin, if not before, after they notice how successful Utrust will be. But for now this is a good news for us and its time for Utrust to get a head start on the market.

Even if Paypal will offer payment with BTC in the near future, UTRUST has still the advantage that they accept more currencies, at least the major ones, for payment.

Yes, supporting multiple currencies will always be an advantage but, they didn't mention which one they will support.

979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Genesis Vision - Decentralized platform for the trust management on: October 14, 2017, 03:06:43 PM

It could be interesting. Bot manager, would be funny if he was the best manager  Grin
Well that's a funny thing. I've recently read an article that most of the S&P 500 trading already happens automatically by bots. This seems to be already so since the 80's. I don't know if it's true though. I still prefer humans doing the trades, but as most things it will probably end all with AI which will doe the trading.
As far as I know there is no rule that managers on the Genesis Vision platform are not allowed to use certain tools they have at their disposal. Whatever yields the best results, right?

Yes, we don't have restriction about EA, bots and so one.

So if a trust manager uses napoleonx bot in genesis vision, it is like an unofficial partnership. Love to see one of those Smiley

Don't you think with the help of the bots anyone can become a manager. Like they don't need the skills instead they only need bots.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🌟🌟 Datum - Unlock the Bln $$ Data Economy - ICO 29th October - 🌟🌟 on: October 14, 2017, 03:03:27 PM
If more companies are interested in the coins value will rise. Just HODL your coins.
At first, many projects will buy from facebook but if they know that they can also buy from DATUM they will buy where date is cheaper.

I'm sure DATUM will have more data then Facebook at least I think so Smiley. Probably I'm wrong.
Really curious how this platform will look and how many companies will buy from DATUM.

I'm very excited about this project.
Keep this up team!

The biggest company to sell them is Google. They have all your data with all your activities, even traveling. Datum will be the solution to your privacy and keep it to yourself or sell it.
It's great that we can decrease the power of google with this project. In my opinion google got to much power in the last years because everybody uses it every day.

Each and every product which you are using for free have something of yours.
