961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2022 be the year of ETH 2.0? on: January 20, 2022, 01:53:29 PM
Instead of complaining just do either of two things. Move to another platform to trade,,, and now we have plenty of competitor options according to altcoin people. BSC and Tron and what not. Why not use those to trade? Besides, Defi/DEX use was never for small traders.

OR find a way to use second layer options like Matic/Polygon right?
You could both be complaining about a place but also keep using it anyway. I mean just because ETH could be better and right now too expensive, doesn't mean that I have to accept others being better. I could still think that ETH is better than every other project BUT still worse than it could be. That is the power of ETH, we are talking about something that is both the best but also have a bigger potential than any other project.

I agree with these people as well, ETH 2.0 will make things so much more fun, it will definitely change the whole crypto world. Prices of everything will go up as soon as ETH 2.0 starts and it will keep going up for a while after that as well. Kind of like the bitcoin halving situation.

Well as I said, you can still use it but on second layer options. For sure ETH can be better and anyway it has always continued to improve,,, but we as users have no power (or rather we would rather not have involvement to have a voice) so we either stick with it patiently or vote with our choice by moving elsewhere.

Also I agree ETH 2.0 will reflect Bitcoin halving. We just need to be patient!

Anyway, Ronaldo has long gone, no need to talk about him unless you are a United fan discovering why Ronaldo is actually bad for you Wink
Ronaldo left a long time ago but Juventus also spent a lot of time losing with small teams they had a very bad performance, that's why I mentioned ronaldo. but even when ronaldo was at juventus they were having a bad performance, i remember they lost against porto in the european champions league, in a game where they could have won.

Well their biggest strong point currently Is in defense

Well,,, I guess everyone who loved Juventus knew that Ronaldo era was just not good for them. Sure he scored amazing goals and put them in contention but the short term gain was not even enough to pay for the loss of depth and character that their captain now says they have to blame Ronaldo for (not as a person but as an acquisition).

Anyway, back to basics for teams like Juventus.

@Welsh I had no idea how bad it was with Digne,,, I just read now that actually he fell out with Rafa. This was one of Everton's best players I wonder why or how a club reaches a point they make enemies with player manager within months and then get sold. But all good for Villa I guess.

And yes,,, I am the happiest person on earth. Spurs won and what a way we won!
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2022 be the year of ETH 2.0? on: January 19, 2022, 02:45:04 PM
I hope this would be the year of the eth 2.0 upgrade, the txn fee is really hurting the small traders like me and it is really so expensive, the eth 2.0 upgrade will help us a lot because it is said to be the solution of the high gas fee now a days, so I am hoping that soon it will take place on the ethereum network.

Rafa is quite an overrated manager (in my personal opinion). Yes, he is winning UCL with Liverpool, to be honest with a lot of luck. besides what he did significantly? wherever he was, he was sacked very quickly. After the Liverpool period, he leads Inter, Real, Chelsea, Everton, Napoli it had below-average results everywhere. Maximum one year in each of these clubs. (I'm not considering Newcastle and Dalian Chinese club, because they may be happy with the average results)

Well if Welsh and buwaytress say he is well liked in Liverpool then I understand he did not only something for their football but for their community which is rare for players and managers to do,,, but I understand also this is something a little bit unique for Liverpool where many players and managers feel part of the community there.

I would say any manager would win with luck at Liverpool in 2004 but this manager happened to be Rafa Benitez Smiley
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tonga is now accepting Bitcoin donations amid tsunami on: January 19, 2022, 12:40:11 PM
i personally would like to see the ex-member of parliament, stop just thanking people for donations. stop making tweets about AI and visiting NFT projects after the disaster, and instead make tweets showing him organising some physical actions to help tonga right now.

..
to note. the first relief package tonga is getting is in the form of:
a supply plane(should arrive on wednesday)
2 navel ships (should arrive on thursday)
all of which are are paid from NZ government relief package in $$.. not paid using ex-tonga mp's donation funds..

True, and this goes for every single politician, ex or present. How does a national disaster requiring urgent assistance become a platform of fame for these retired people I never understand.

The only crypto giving thing that I know ever made sense and supported was Giving Block.

it is surprising that juventus has scored 4 goals, it seems to me that they are recovering without cristiano ronaldo, this is a good thing, they are in position 5 and they can still improve to be in position 2 or 3. as a fan of juventus I still have this hope, Of course, there can still be a miracle for them to be champions.  Grin

I honestly do not really know which is more surprising. That Juventus can score 4 goals,,, or that they can concede 3.

Or even more surprising was when Atalanta and Inter both could not find even a single goal between them.

Anyway, Ronaldo has long gone, no need to talk about him unless you are a United fan discovering why Ronaldo is actually bad for you Wink
972  Economy / Speculation / Re: Goldman Sachs projection regarding BTC on: January 19, 2022, 06:30:59 AM
People are getting way too confused over short, medium and long term. Yes Bitcoin is store of value, yes Bitcoin is always going to appreciate and yes Bitcoin also a hedge for inflation,,, but this is long term.

For sure many knows the difference between the two, it's that the investors or speculators also look for short term or at least the highest price that they want, at least in this case a 6 digit figure.

Volatility in short term is a fact we cannot deny, but that does not mean Bitcoin is broken Smiley

True, we might as well embrace volatility because it's part of the market cycle. I think crypto is just one market wherein volatility has been embrace because we can make money out of this price movement.

And then when will it end? After 6 digits, people will go for 7, because everybody has to see progress and in Bitcoin, everything must happen at hyper light speed right?

And then we love the volatility,,, until we lose money, then it becomes a bad thing. I only know Bitcoin for a few years but the pattern of behavior is so easy to see!
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How liberal was Satoshi Nakamoto? on: January 18, 2022, 03:15:12 PM
And today just as it was a week and a month ago, with 1 satoshi fee,,, I believe there is still no reason to increase block. I still see every time mempool is below 5000 transactions, of course when block delays are happening everything bunches together,,, but block size increase does not fix this anyway.

I do not know if any of this constitutes for liberal trends or not?

Welcome to the rabbit hole,,, trust me, if you want to leave it faster, pay for some signals and paid groups,,, the more exclusive the better. Telegram or Discord, but Discord better for chart sharing.

Not because you are going to make money from them but you will see yourself after a while that everybody cheats a little and disappoints you in the end.

It is also a good idea if you like resources,,, paid groups share a lot of exclusive stuff,,, but again not profitable, just,,, to feed rabbit hole hunger Wink
976  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mozilla says they'll accept Bitcoin & crypto donations on: January 18, 2022, 11:19:35 AM
Mozilla is one of my favorite software and I still go to use it sometimes even though now Chrome is what I use (because of work),,, just I wish they did not say about DOGE first before Bitcoin. But I guess these days if you do not pay heed to the trendy things going on,,, people ignore you and move on.

Nice to hear, and I guess this is the reason for the DOGE boost?
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A solo Bitcoin miner just won block 718214 reward worth 6.25 $BTC on: January 18, 2022, 08:49:06 AM
Perhaps a better analogy would be tip pooling in a restaurant.

Scenario 3 (ckpool):
Restaurant still exclusively accepting credit card, and still handling payment processing. Instead of distributing the tips based on how much time each employee spent working during that period, the restaurant keeps track of exactly which tips were paid for which employee.  On payday each employee receives ONLY the tips that were paid by customers whose tables they waited on. Restaurant keeps 2% of the tips from each employee to pay for handling the payment processing and distribution of funds. Like Scenario 1, you only get the tips that were paid by your customers, but like Scenario 2, all funds and payment processing are being managed by the restaurant.

I guess this explains it properly,,, and I guess the technical understanding of pool is different from a rational understanding since I would still see this scenario as tip pooling (I enter the pool, the pool manages my funds and payments, I only get rewarded for the work I do from the customers that pay, especially because the pool takes a commission my mind sees this strictly as a pool.

In other words,,, I would say, ckpool is a rewards pool, but you would be doing solo-mining if you join. So this makes the thread topic to me perfectly accurate.

979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any favorite superstititions when trading crypto on: January 17, 2022, 01:49:14 PM
I did have superstitions about crypto in the early days and it worked but when i tried the same on gambling it completely failed which made me realize it was luck at play and a coincidence that things worked out in my favor and ever since i do not believe in superstitions anymore.
I mean there is the butterfly effect and quantum physics in play
Science at play, well played!

Butterfly effect and quantum physics sure,,, but nothing the individual differences in action could ever hope to change for the short term. I have witnessed countless paid signal groups tell you all about "best days to trade" and Chinese pump groups saying only certain calendar dates for pump/dump.

In the end,,, everyone gets bitten if they gamble. Superstition only makes you believe you can improve your chances on a bet. Crypto especially seems to make people fall for this fallacy.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Nft Blockchain and Games? on: January 17, 2022, 12:00:16 PM
Matic is still leading the way in term of NFT blockchain. So many migration from the various platforms are doing to the matic. Ethereum is a crazy blockchain that didn't let the small shrimp to trade on its blockchain. I don't know why VB is still feeling good with the condition of its blockchain. It's still at the top 2 CMC caused by so many projects are still using ethereum and they are not doing any migration. This time I'm playing bombcrypto and the game is good enough but I guess anyone who didn't familiar with this game may feel bored after try to play this game. The price is quite stable at this moment. this is based on the BSC.
Eth 2.0 may get another delay again and L2 will be booming soon. I'm so frustrated when it need to trade on ethereum blockchain.

Yep,,, Matic/Polygon (but they always use Polygon, matic is just the currency) and agree Ethereum is too expensive not even for small shrimp but even for medium prawns or lobsters, if you use it 10 times a day and pay $20 fees each way,,, for simple spend, and $100 for minting that is a lot of money for 90% of people.

But Ethereum still strong because Polygon is after all EVM compatible.
