981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 07, 2023, 05:20:57 PM
I think Newcastle can be a serious competitor for Man United in the hunt for Kim Min-Jae because there are rumours that Newcastle has a big enough budget for next season. This can be a tough transfer because when there are 2 teams that are interested in the same player, it is likely that there will be a bidding war, and it can cause transfer values to be soaring.

In addition, there is also news that Sheikh Jassim made a fifth offer to the Glazers and there are indications that it is a final offer. So if the Glazer still counteracts the offer or remains silent, most likely that Sheikh Jassim will step down in acquiring Man United.
Newcastle really needs a few additional players for next season, so they can compete with other teams in the Champions League. Rumors circulating in some media say Kim Min-Jae is also in demand by the Newcastle coach and they are also making as far a approach as possible to woo players to move to St. JamesPark. However I see a much bigger chance for Man United because so far an oral agreement has been reached between the player and the negotiating party appointed by the club.

Likewise regarding the acquisition of Man United by Sheikh Jassim and now the final offer has been made, only waiting for a decision from the Glazers who have not decided anything. If Sheikh Jassim manages to acquire Man United then for next season I think their strength will be far more terrible due to the availability of a large budget to buy several players needed by Erik Ten Hak.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 07, 2023, 04:42:21 PM
I don't see why you can't hold your desire to gamble when you're traveling, traveling let you stay few days or a week in other country, it's not long. You seems not use all of your times to enjoy your travel and you don't have a good self control if you need to gamble everyday.

Since I have a good self control, I choose to not gamble and will gamble after I back or move to a country where gambling is legal.
That's just a small example that some people are trying to convey and actually the point of focus is only on VPN use when ToS prohibits it, so what steps to take when knowing this because the consequences are dire and will result in a permanent account ban. But on the other hand there may be some gambling sites that allow VPN users and this is worth a try rather than taking the risk on a site that doesn't allow VPNs.

At present the convenience of gambling will not limit people even though they are on a trip to another country, in fact everyone can take advantage of the convenience via a smartphone in gambling. So it doesn't limit anyone from gambling or maybe the person you are referring to is indeed active in gambling, so even when they are on their way they still gamble as usual.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 07, 2023, 03:37:18 PM
It might be difficult to help cure them, but we have to keep trying because he needs help from others to escape his gambling addiction. Maybe we can talk to him privately to find out how bad his gambling addiction is so we can figure out where to start. After that, we can ask for help from professionals if we really don't find a way and while accompanying him to visit professionals, we must be able to convince him that we will not leave him.

But we also can't force him to cure his gambling addiction when he refuses our help and chooses to be alone. But we might be able to seek other help from the people around him so that they give their attention to that person so that he can accept our explanation that he has a gambling addiction and must be cured immediately.
Responsible gambling is usually carried out by those who are able to control themselves and usually they don't expect it to be a permanent income haven in gambling. Basically gambling is quite fun to do to relieve stress when the activities we do at work are so hectic, but it is responsible and more fun things to do together with friends and co-workers.

In contrast to those who experience disturbances in thinking or as people who are seriously addicted to gambling, because they think that gambling can generate a steady income every day. Gambling like this is difficult to cure and if one's personal desires don't want to stop then nothing can help cure this addiction.

The time of recovery of gambling addicts is dependent on the will of the patient and how he will react on the administered recovery program.  Many say that self-acknowledgment of being a gambling addict is much easier to cure than those who are in denial.
It is an option that can be done and a recovery program that is escorted directly by professionals is a suitable place because they will be trained in emotional control, psychology and ways to get rid of addiction that touch the soul more. This program is similar to the recovery of people who are addicted to narcotics and many people have managed to get out of their addiction.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 07, 2023, 02:54:55 PM
Mourinho wasn't successful in this season just as in the previous one I'm afraid. I feel the need of admitting that because these are the facts. But in the end, Jose Mourinho also failed to lead Roma to win the Europa League because they had to lose on penalties with Roma so they failed to get a ticket to the Champions League. Jose Mourinho's achievements this season look less good and reportedly will part with Roman next season.

Mourinho is also aware of this and he seems ready to fight for this goal again. But at the same time he is open for reasonable offers as well. By saying that I mean PSG of course. PSG has been the most rumoured team with him for a summer signing but let's see. Managing PSG would be much more attracting to him I assume.
Roma's only hope of qualifying for the Champions League is to win the Europa League as the chances in the League have ended after they only managed to finish sixth in the standings. But in the end Jose Mourinho also failed to lead Roma to win the Europa League, so they also failed to get a chance to qualify for the Champions League. Jose Mourinho's achievements this season did not look so good and reportedly he will part with Roman next season.

Right now Jose Mourinho is rumored to be going to PSG and in my opinion he will develop much more at PSG compared to Roma, because PSG has a lot of money to bring in the players he needs. PSG has such a big target in the Champions League and it will be a tough job for Jose Mourinho, if he really moves there then next season will be more attractive in the league and in the Champions competition.
985  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin for HODL on: June 04, 2023, 06:33:45 PM
I don’t have much Bitcoin but as we know: not much Bitcoin can have much value in a few years. It is all about HODL.
It doesn't matter if you don't have a lot of bitcoins and you can buy slowly according to the ability of the money you have. But if your finances aren't that stable and you may not be able to afford large purchases, using the DCA method is a great move that you can apply consistently.

I have decided to select Electrum wallet because Electrum wallet is Open Source and is developed by a very experienced coder team for a long time now.
In my opinion, we need to reward such coders by deciding for Electrum, like I've decided for Firefox instead of Google Chrome because we need to support unique coder teams, like behind Electrum and Firefox.
It's a good decision and not even that many newbies try to do something like you did. I mean, you not only understand how to invest but also have insight on how to store bitcoins safely, this is rarely noticed by beginners and usually they just ask and never try to learn it first. Welcome to the OP forum and you will be directed to further discussion when you want to hit the search button according to what you want to learn.

I don't think it will be difficult since you just made one post, but your knowledge is quite good about bitcoin and safe wallets to store it, we rarely encounter this when many beginners are busy asking how to get Merit. Don't forget to save the seed and private key in a safe place because that is the real essence of how to protect the bitcoins that you have.
986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opportunity to buy on: June 04, 2023, 06:06:39 PM
So I would advise you to proceed with caution in bitcoin
Aim your investment goals in the long term so you don't have to worry so much about analysis and how to enter the market, all you need to do is look at the right period as an accumulation of purchases and if currently bitcoin is in a downward trend then take some purchases and use some using patterns DCA, if for the current conditions have not given complete confidence to enter the market in large purchases. Too much thinking will sometimes stop us from taking chances and vice versa we miss opportunities in vain.

If a market moment like this doesn't convince us to buy, then what kind of moment should we wait to bring us to a conclusion, whereas bitcoin will never wait for our readiness to buy because it will carry on as it should. The halving will be closer in the next period and if we haven't decided to buy, then we will also miss another good opportunity for the next ATH period.
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 03, 2023, 08:04:52 PM
Teaching children on bitcoin is like the latest threads in the forum. It is good to tell our children about bitcoin in their tender ages but destiny is not something you force someone to achieve. Just like the general saying that "You can take a horse to the river but you cannot force it to drink the water". That's, it is good to tell your children about bitcoin but you cannot force him or her to learn bitcoin if it is not in the mind of the child and if that is not the child's calling in life.
Ever heard the old advice "Effort and prayer is the way that can knock on the door of destiny in the sky". So there's nothing wrong with people trying to teach something to their children, as long as they know what needs to be taught for their children's provisions in adulthood. Yes, it's true, like some of the sources you quoted, that children shouldn't be forced to follow us because everything will flow by itself, but the role of parents is important to direct them both regarding financial capabilities and other matters, so that they look more ready to live their life later.

Maybe it's just the way of approach that we need to know, for example the approach we take must be appropriate to the age of the child and also provide an understanding that bitcoin can bring someone to the stage of financial freedom if done correctly. A father's instinct must know what is best for his child, therefore it is important to teach children how to be responsible, focus on activities they like and know what to do so that their finances are much better in living their lives later as adults. Of course the method doesn't have to be coercion to follow what we want, but provide space for him to like what we want to teach him.
988  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice to a Friend on: June 03, 2023, 06:50:02 PM
"The advancement is so fast.  Can they just slow down" this is coming from a friend who is a noob and still trying to find his way around Bitcoin.
You definitely have an answer that can be given to your friend, it's just that you are confused about which one to explain first, if he wants to invest then teach him how to invest so he doesn't make a mistake in doing so.

Because it is like as soon as he's trying to understand on concept another new one is springing up somewhere. I get his point. Most times, this can be really overwhelming. I think there is a fear of missing out here and being behind. What advice do you have to give to my friend who is trying to juggle getting grounded in the basics and keeping up with these latest update on Bitcoin?
He couldn't resist something new when he said his attitude towards investing in bitcoin, what he needed to do was continue to learn something needed to support his development in investing. Whether it is slow or not is not a problem as long as he continues to study, there is nothing complicated about investing in bitcoin and new technical things that will happen to bitcoin can be learned by adding some reading in it regarding this matter.

But the basics about bitcoin is something he needs to learn first as it will lead them to the knowledge stage around how to invest. Don't be too obsessed with new things because the focus must remain on investment, while new things that will emerge can be learned on the way later.
989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Know your time to HOLD on: June 03, 2023, 04:58:44 PM
Beginners seem to understand how the market works and how bitcoin can give them returns. But many newbies are too afraid to leave the market especially after they have invested, I mean they always monitor the price movement which at a certain moment has changed their investment plan especially when the price actually drops lower. I can say that as one of my personal experiences at beginner, but as I've been here longer and seen how bitcoin works over the long term, my investment plan hasn't changed much. So I think they need time, they need something convincing that in the long term bitcoin can give them returns, that's the experience.
In other words experience will slowly bring them to a much better level of knowledge, take one of the examples of what you said that at first almost everyone who didn't understand bitcoin experienced panic and found it difficult to control themselves when market conditions experienced a sharp decline. Even though the concept is that if the long term is used as a benchmark for investment, then market conditions however will not affect it because we will only wait for a big increase to sell the bitcoins that we have.

Hands-on involvement can lead them to the knowledge stage, although the investment approach can be taken in a different way, such as trying slightly smaller numbers for a test of mental readiness when the market is experiencing a sharp downturn. At this stage, experience will lead them to the conclusion in living the actual investment.
990  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opportunity to buy on: June 02, 2023, 07:59:05 PM
We have no ideas what is currently happening to the market but all hope are not lost, bitcoin will take us for a surprise and I don't want to miss the chance or feel regrets not obtaining any amount of bitcoin.
You will not miss anything in the current bitcoin period, the question is how do you make purchases for the current state, will you use all the capital at once to enter the market or still wait for the next period for accumulation.

Even as bad as the price is, some people are still making cool money out of it, that's mean we never loss investment when you really understands the value of bitcoin. I know some will kick against my tips but what's your reasons?
I don't want to say your tip is contradictory, but it slightly messes with the essence which is easy to understand. The value of bitcoin is not only seen when it experiences an increase in price but a decline condition is the right way of accumulation to enter the market, so the amount of capital you have plays a much bigger role in making profits after this period recovers.

If we have little finances then the DCA strategy is one of the potentials that can be exploited, so that any period you can enter the market to make regular gradual purchases. Buy and Hold bitcoins, isn't that what we expect?
991  Economy / Speculation / Re: Know your time to HOLD on: June 02, 2023, 06:48:01 PM
The mistake many novice bitcoin investors make is lack of patience. It is important to understand that this investment is not for a few weeks or a month, you need to learn how to wait. Of course, there is a second moment, the market can go up sharply and the price can be quite satisfactory and the investor will sell his bitcoins
The concept is we have to think that bitcoin is a potential asset to hold in the long term, so that our investment goals are more focused and not thinking about how the market will react. Bitcoin will always have its moments ups and downs over a period of time, so it doesn't really matter how the market reacts once we have established an investment pattern. The problem lies in how knowledgeable we are in investing and most beginners get stuck in market conditions, so they don't try to learn the long term to invest in bitcoin.

Unlike the case with large investors who have fixed sources of finance, they can accumulate trades even if they do not set long-term investments. What's more they are in strong condition to cover periods of downturn to buy much larger quantities of bitcoins, so as long as the price increases are not too big they can sell and re-enter the market on a regular basis.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 02, 2023, 06:04:28 PM
In the end Roma made their mark, they didn't play badly. But anything can happen in a final.
I'm only sorry that Jose Mourinho took it so badly. They've been making it to the final two years in a row, he should be satisfied anyway I think.
Sevilla went through a much more difficult phase to reach the final and in the end managed to come out as champions, regardless of how the referee was controversial but the hard work shown by the Seville players really made them deserve to be champions. Sevilla had to concede first and a solid Roma defense forced Sevilla to work hard, but also didn't hit the target to score until in the end Mancini made a small error which resulted in an own goal and ended it all.

The results determined through penalties are much more difficult to predict and maybe Sevilla's experience is much better in the European League, so that calm and ability to deal with pressure when penalties are far more prepared than foster children Jose Mourinho, as evidenced by the pressure possessed by the player Rome who ultimately failed to complete several penalties.
993  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: June 02, 2023, 05:21:44 PM
No asset or investment can provide a high return and safe. Bitcoin offers higher returns than any other asset, so it comes with a higher risk of all. If someone doesn't want to take the risk or can't take the risk, I strongly advise against giving them bitcoin investment advice. Tell them that if they want big success, they need to take big risks.

Besides the volatility of bitcoin, we should also make it clear to everyone the risks of investing in bitcoin. Bitcoin is a new asset class, not yet recognized by many people, so the risk is quite high, the possibility of crashing or losing everything when investing in it is always present
If they don't have the readiness to face risk, any investment will not be suitable for them, let alone talk about bitcoin which is so speculative in its journey. I don't think there is any obligation to explain bitcoin to other people because not everyone understands how it works and also not many people want to get involved. When people are interested in learning about investing in bitcoin, they will indirectly learn to understand and recognize bitcoin first, so that they have insight that can lead them to questions they don't understand.

Talking about the risk is not only in bitcoin and in other investments that are also at risk, even when people try to run a business the risk is also big how business trips don't develop and experience losses on the capital they spend. In the end, the risks will be proportional to the benefits you get, but you have to learn how to minimize these risks to be smaller.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 02, 2023, 04:25:36 PM
There are some people who are rich because of gambling, but gambling is not a place for them to make money consistently. Some have their own business from winning gambling, but only if they have the courage to make the decision to stop gambling.
Still in the speculation stage and I think the opportunity to get wealth in gambling is very impossible, especially for gamblers who only rely on small capital to make a lot of money. Relying on any gambling, both slots and soccer betting will not lead us to wealth and if asked why many people are still gambling maybe because to spend time having fun and they have other sources of income that do not rely on gambling to make permanent money.

Only a handful of people who get wealth from gambling, but I am sure they have a business that is managed and does not fully rely on gambling to generate profits and achieve wealth. How can people become richer in gambling if they only rely on small bets and do not have a source of fixed income.

Agree with what you say. Those who are addicted to gambling think that way and no one can change it but themselves. Even though they have lost many games, they don't seem to care because they continue to gamble. If they could reflect on what they have experienced while playing gambling, they would regret having spent a lot of money gambling and pursuing victory.
To cure people who are addicted to gambling are almost very difficult and even life will end in much worse. Gambling will have problems if people do not have a job and will continue to hallucinate to get a victory, so it will sell all the assets they have to play gambling every day. This mindset will produce a big impact on someone, moreover there are no restrictions when they are involved in gambling.

But it's different from people who have a big business and people who gamble on the basis of awareness in enjoying gambling, because most of them only spend time having fun with their friends and colleagues. Sometimes they get a jeckpot when gambling and placing a big bet so that it gets a win over the big bet.
995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: June 01, 2023, 10:02:11 PM
I believe bitcoin and banks are well renounced investment platforms but many people prefer bitcoin investment despite is very risky because of high demands and rising price interest and banks on the other hand saves millions of people finances all over the world yet their investment interest is very small but less risky than bitcoin. Which do you preferred your money to be save in as investment? Bitcoin or bank! What's your reason?
Let's briefly test your understanding of bitcoin and banks, you slipped on the idea that banks save millions of people around the world, fiat currencies generally lose their value due to depreciation which means the assumption of storing money is wrong. Regarding the notion of risk, this also relates to the potential for money that you save in the bank in the long term, placing money in a bank savings account will not be potential because the value of the currency you have will remain the same, meaning that the money you have is also at risk of not producing profit.

If you put money in bitcoin, then the potential for achieving ATH will generate big profits, why should it be ATH because we ignore a bit of bitcoin volatility patterns, so it can be concluded that placing money in bitcoin is far more potential, than placing money in bank savings which not making a profit in the long term, draft this relates directly to precision as the idea of investment that you are trying to talk about.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 01, 2023, 08:29:40 PM
Roma are really good at defending, but have difficulty building attacks because Sevilla has put strong pressure since Roma have won 1 goal. Roma were also fortunate in that Sevilla were not awarded penalty after the referee reviewed the VAR for an unconsidered offence. The result of the match is determined fairly because both teams must determine their status in the penalty round. Congratulations to Sevilla on their 7th Europa League title, I expected it.
Defense is Jose Mourinho's strength in big matches like this and that is evidenced by the statistics of possession of the ball that Sevilla has and the several attacks that have been created, but because Rome's defense is so solid it makes it difficult for Sevilla to score goals. But unfortunately Mancini made a mistake due to an own goal in the 55th minute, thus opening up opportunities for Sevilla to continue to suppress the Roman defense. The several yellow cards obtained in the first half made the Roma players a little more careful to avoid a second yellow card.

Luckily the referee canceled the penalty for Sevilla after checking the VAR, thus giving Roma another chance in the rest of the game, but until normal time and extra time no more goals were scored so a penalty shootout became Sevilla's winning scenario. I agree with you regardless of the controversy over the referee in charge of the match but I think Sevilla deserved this trophy.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 07:42:46 PM
Now, the question is.... Will you still use a VPN, if it is not allowed by the ToS on the site. What will you do if they "block" your account and take your balance?
There are too many risks using a VPN if ToS is not allowed to be used on the site, for example the account will be blocked which will result in our balance being lost. If you already know it can't be used then why try it and of course there is no relevance to the complaint if it is a ban from the gambling site. I also don't know why so many people get away from this problem, even I myself have done it several times on gambling sites using a VPN that is not permitted by ToS.

From what I've seen, it's nothing more than winning a small bet and maybe still being lucky enough not to freeze the account. But I'm sure if you get a big win on that bet it's likely to get blocked, so before that happens you have to reconsider because who knows later we'll get a big win but the account is frozen.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crazy Sports Betting Idea on: June 01, 2023, 06:56:53 PM
This is just the premier league only, there are other managers who were sacked in the other leagues. So I was thinking, isn't there a way to bet on managers who will most likely be fired by their club management before the season ends judging based on their performance?

At least sport bettors should have the pleasure of making these kind of bets too. I know it sounds crazy but that's what has been on my mind. Do you think it is feasible? Do you think sports bookies will incorporate this type of betting?
How to accumulate this kind of gambling because the coach's performance will be calculated based on the results they gave to the club before the dismissal. I think that for professional gambler will not choose long-term betting like the accumulation you think, because people want a short time to see the results of the bets placed. Sportsbet.io may be able to implement this in their sportsbook but I'm not sure people will be interested in following this kind of betting system for a long time to come.

Although it cannot be denied whether or not this type of gambling exists, I think it is very likely that one of the gambling companies will do it, either in the near future or it is only a matter of time. I can guess the three coaches who will stay next season in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta and Erik Ten Hak, please include in your bets OP. LOL
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 01, 2023, 06:10:43 PM
You cannot become rich from gambling, but you can become poor from gambling. That's what many gamblers must realize so they don't try too hard to get money from gambling. It is better for them to try hard from other places unrelated to gambling to increase their chances of getting bigger money.

But unfortunately, many gamblers still think of making money from gambling so they keep gambling and use more money. If they have already lost, that doesn't stop them from gambling because they will think that tomorrow will be better and their luck will come tomorrow.
That's the thinking of people who are addicted to gambling and find it difficult to cure gambling addiction because they think that they lost today and still have tomorrow as luck. If they were able to think like you said it might be right then better to look elsewhere for profit but the problem is addicted gamblers don't think that way anymore because their logic is definitely different from the mindset of us who gamble just for fun.

There is no chance to get richer in gambling and all the same we try to speculate on bets, so before things go too far, gamble according to what you can control and I have nothing against gambling because it has been around for a long time and basically we all also like to gamble.
