2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the benefits of accepting Bitcoin as a method of payment. on: Today at 05:04:24 AM
There are several advantages of taking Bitcoin as payment. Depending on who you are the different advantages I am about to list could mean everything or nothing at all.

Non-refundable.
The fact that it's nonrefundable makes it a great medium of payment for the merchant but the consumers the buyers will not feel protected incase of a bad transaction which leaves them at the mercy of the seller's which is a Win-lose situation.

Lower Fees.
Bitcoin fees are always fluctuating one second we paying  super high fees and the next we paying super low fees, and as a business this could affect the traffic coming there.

Security.

The Bitcoin network has never been hacked. Provided you properly store your private keys your Bitcoin is safe.
I think you agree with me that we aren't really worried about the networks security but it's usually our wallets and private key handling that will determine the security of our assets.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 13, 2024, 08:07:24 PM
The first game should not be very difficult for Germany to win, they have to win it to show that they should not be underestimated. With the big names and experienced players like Neuer, Kimmich, Rudiger, Kroos, Gundogan etc, they have a good balance. Scotland should not be underestimated because they also have some strong names in their list like McTominay and McGinn, but generally, their is more experience with the German side, and experience can really matter a lot.

I predict Germany to win scotland 3-1, Havertz to score.
The problem I find with the German team is that every time they are part of a competition,  regardless of a good or bad run they always find themselves to be among the favourites and unfortunately in the last couple of months am not really convinced to say these have a strong team to go all the way...they might survive the group stage but this isn't a strong team generally speaking!!

Btw, Scotland shouldn't be written off easily because these have an above average team and the Germans could be caught napping if they don't play their game right..but being hosts this should give them the extra confidence to win games.

My prediction Germany win 2-0.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is China going to shift from Gold to crypto as ICBC considers ETH a digital oil? on: June 13, 2024, 04:56:28 PM
In the real world, if we are to ask someone on which of these two has more practical use between oil and gold... I believe 90% will go for Oil...so these guys labelling Bitcoin to be the Gold and Ethereum to be the Oil sounds like an encrypted message telling investors to try shit their attention to Ethereum which could  be more lucrative Roll Eyes Unless this example given was out of context then we shouldn't take this seriously otherwise I see Ethereum pumping hard very soon!!

Am looking at some of the teams being posted here and I don't see a Cristiano Ronaldo anywhere???
Am I missing something here, the goat 🐐 is top scorer in Saudi Arabia(farmers league ) and got some goals in the friendlies , plus Portugal is a good team and has some good fixtures too and most likely CR7 is on penalty duty but why is the Goat not being picked in most managers starting 11  Roll Eyes Too expensive maybe Huh

Time to make my team..

Metawin has their announcement thread and representative, campaign manager in bitcointalk so we can go to their announcement thread and ask about it. We can ask both sides, Rollbit and MetaWin teams for confirmations.
Aight. I ended up asking on metawin's side. Turns out, there was no partnership at all. So I guess, they saw potential on RLB and added it on their own. Well, I hope it goes well for both.

If this is the case this could work in their favour, lets think of it this way... RLB holders from Rollbit will patronage Metawin and in the process if one loses RLB there they could comeback and try to win their coins using a different coin and that's how they win a customer for their platform...it's a Win-Win strategy!!!

Btw if RLB can be used mainly on the lottery on Rollbit,  and more use on Meta then this unofficial patternship could hurt us, I don't like it Roll Eyes Or maybe RLB sales will be on the rise which works for RB afterall  Grin

Nice looking team, will draw some ideas from this but certainly not team Croatia  Tongue

Am also wondering how much similar our teams will be if we all choose based on popularity especially that this is more of a smaller competition as compared to EPL fantasy football  Roll Eyes

Anyway, let me first jump so the rules section and see how to score points then will draw my strategy from there  Smiley
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some bad uses of bitcoin. :'( on: June 12, 2024, 04:49:54 PM
Since Bitcoin is a completely decentralized currency, there is no way to know when and how much money is being sent to whom, both the sender and receiver remain anonymous. So Bitcoin is used to buy and sell various criminal and illegal products. So various arms smuggling activities are paid through Bitcoin. Also, all transactions on the dark web are done through Bitcoin. Which is very sad for us
The fact that the dark web and all these illicit activities have existed way before even Bitcoin was created shows that this isn't the making of Bitcoin...if anything the fact that Bitcoin transactions can't be erased from the ledger makes them work against users that think it's anonymous to use ,unless one uses other methods to lose their money trail...

It is essentially a perfect medium of transaction for all the terrorists and criminals of the dark web. This is why the governments of different countries have declared Bitcoin illegal in their countries.
But for the kind of money that's involved in these illicit transactions....AML or KYC can easily get in the way of criminals and if you ask me this doesn't make it the perfect medium of exchange for people trying to operate under the radar of the law!

Fiat will always remain the king here unless when moving from one place to another then Bitcoin could be the answer here  Tongue
15  Economy / Gambling / Re: Potential Match Fixing involving Finnish teams FC Futura and Ilves-Kissat on: June 12, 2024, 03:39:00 PM
We have made an inquiry about the match-fixing allegations with a competent authority and an investigation was started. Funds will not be released, nor any further information shared until these investigations are completed. This is standard procedure and trumps any potential arbitration process.  Thank you for your help!
And why should you be the only ones in the betting world be feeling aggrieved to the point of declaring this game fixed?? Is it because of the players high winning rate that your alarm bells went off and declared the players games fixed ??

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if you are actually investigating the player and not that the game being fixed!!

And to simply all this, why didn't you ask other bookies around the forum to facilitate closure of this case because they too likely had this game on their books and would be the best advisors for this case..

Btw hope other players that lost this bet have the wager reopened awaiting your decision on this game!
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has higher market cap than the three biggest banks in the world on: June 12, 2024, 06:26:42 AM
The stats make logical sense if we think of Bitcoin as an international bank without boarders, unlike the said three banks JP Morgan Chase , Bank of America ,
ICBC which operate in a localised setup and can't compete with the likes of Bitcoin that have their doors open to every Jim and Jack with no questions asked when trying to bank with it and operate 24/7 which is a non compete advantage already!!!

If anything, I see money leaving these banks and going into crypto in the name of financial freedom and total control...unlike banks that control how you spend your money and will use your money to make their money and won't even share their profits with you... Bitcoins market cap is still growing for sure!!
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: June 12, 2024, 04:49:33 AM
This is what I don't understand, people win but still want to be at the table playing..people lose they still remain at the table to keep playing , then when do they really get up and leave that table because there is no fun losing  money and the longer you play at the table the more likely you are to lose money??? I know most people can easily be carried away from gambling but when you feel lucky isn't on your side, there is no shame in walking away and trying your luck on a different day!!!

Some sad story of gambling your life away indeed, and clear evidence of winners know when to stop..how do you lose a fortune that took you years to build within minutes  Cry hope our friend is back on his feet trying to make his fortune back and maybe stay of gambling or play with smaller wagers...

19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How were you able to handle a losing streak up to 5 times and above? on: June 11, 2024, 04:34:01 PM
I have come to accept losing is part of the game and we can't always be on the winning side, and whenever I experience a losing streak of more than 5games then I know that day isn't going my way... Though sometimes with some stubbornness I do turn a losing run into a winning run and comeback profitable and close the day without pushing my luck too much.

I am able to handle big losing streaks with lots of booze and weed.  Kidding, kinda..but I think you make a good point when you mention sticking to the plan.  That's the most important rule in gambling if you ask me.
I was in tears laughing not until I saw the kidding otherwise you got me here lol Grin

And talking of plans, with gambling things don't always go according to plan and we should be ready for bad day's and accept the outcome sometimes..

We have our Division 3 Playoffs semifinals winners!
 Shocked
Division 3A
entebah - Dittoup   0-6
Some huge results (WTF Dittoup )
WTF moment right here in both results  Cool..

The first result was a clean sweep which rarely happens but Dittoup pulled a 6love which should be motivation for our friend next season or anybody coming up against invisible Dittoup..

Thought Rikafip was sent packing after falling behind for most of that round, and a comeback didn't look possible either but a little luck spiced up his survival.. congrats Rikafip Smiley
