1041  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I was robbed :'( please refer … PLEASE HELP ME ! on: March 18, 2019, 01:21:54 PM
Just putting some transaction ID does not make any sense. Please provide more info about the issue and how did it happend.

Was your private key leaked?

Did anyone unknowingly transferred your ETH to the other address?

Or how did that happen?

Just to let you know crypto transactions are not reversable and there are pretty less chances of you getting the funds back.
1042  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Divider (DIVID) - Plagiarized Whitepaper - Scam on: March 18, 2019, 12:40:04 PM
Please
Can you please elaborate why you call this a scam? Plagiarized whitepaper?
You gave the correct answer yourself. Yes, it's because of Plagiarized Whitepaper.

The description about the concept itself is unique and not plagiarized. Thats whats important about a project, not some basic ICO rules.

But an ICO which cannot hire a professional Whitepaper writer and also cannot generate there own unique content is rather a scam or should be a scam in the future as they are just ignoring the basic rules of ICOs and would surely not be able to handle the people's investment or grow it in anyway.
1043  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] BTT - BCT - BTCT? on: March 18, 2019, 12:17:17 PM
There is none of an endorsed abbreviation for the Bitcointalk Forum officially.

Theymos too doesn't use any of those mostly as stated here.

You can use whatever you want...

I almost always call this site "the forum", "the Bitcoin Forum", or "bitcointalk.org" (spelled out completely). I very rarely call it just "BitcoinTalk," so any abbreviation of that name isn't natural to me. I don't see where people get BTT from, though.

Still, I would go with BitCoinTalk - BCT, which looks most logical way too me.
1044  Other / Meta / Re: Can we delete posts before 24 hours in goods again please? on: March 18, 2019, 07:28:34 AM
The only reason this was implemented was to avoid multiple bumps in a day. It surely looks shaddy and a person would always be on top of the list if he bumps his thread 100 times a day.

But yaa, it's a newbie issue for sure and any higher level account would not abuse the option like wise. I think there should be a feature for just higer rank members like Sr.Member + could use this feature only.

Please move your thread to Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Trading Discussion > Reputation

You should have first noted the trust ratings of the users to check his legitimacy. Huh

He had two red trust for the same thread by two DT members.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2006108

He is selling on a locked thread, which basically indicates he is a scammer.

1048  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WPP SCAM? want to hear your opinion on: March 17, 2019, 12:43:26 PM
As per the etherscan data here

https://etherscan.io/token/0x056dd20b01799e9c1952c7c9a5ff4409a6110085#balances

There are total of 7,092 holders of the WPP token under the contract address 0x056dd20b01799e9c1952c7c9a5ff4409a6110085, which probably means 50% of the tokens are already distributed among 7000 approx number of investors until and the address 0x0603444a9698facd901ab985a23ac24de296b986 holds the 50% of the remaining supply which should be reserved for other expenses of the project like promotion, team reserves etc.

I also found that there bounty tokens are not distributed yet, so that tokens too are included in the 50% hold in the address here

We could get to a conclusion that the address which hold most number of tokens leaving the projects personal address, should be some whales who already bought 1+% of total tokens at the time of token sale.

was the 50% of tokens sold to public just sold to 1 investor?

If you are pointing to the address 0x0603444a9698facd901ab985a23ac24de296b986 which holds 50% supply specifically, it is rather the address of the token owners hence holding 50% reserved supply.
1049  Other / Meta / Re: whats definition of off topic to mods ? or they are just enjoying deleting on: March 17, 2019, 04:17:05 AM
I don't have much of the posts deleted by mods recently, but by looking at the others views about the judgement we can see much of the posts which are not to be deleted and on-topic are getting deleted every day. This can also include an post with good knowledge and discussion. As more and more users are complaing about there on-topic posts getting deleted, I think mod should take this into consideration and change the way of the judgement a bit.

Many people's could use this reporting feature in wrong ways, as if someone reports a on-topic post from 2 to 3 of his alts, a mod is sure to judge it as off-topic and delete it directly as more users have reported it but then if they just read the post it would show that the post is not spammy and it's not worth getting deleted.
1050  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stack's Merit Tracker | Visualize anyone's merit data in the form of a graph! on: March 16, 2019, 04:13:36 PM
It seems I'm unable to move the double-posted thread to Archival.
It's pretty easy bud,

1.You need to go to the thread here

2.You would see a move topic option at the bottom left of the page. Click on it.

3.It directs you to a selection tab for selecting to which board you want to move the topic to. In your case it's move to - Others> Archival. Just select it from the drop down menu.

4. You can also edit the topic name and add details about where the topic is moved.
1051  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN/RUNNING] SIGMA POOL SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: March 16, 2019, 04:02:30 PM
For sure you meet the criteria ,but you missed to read the OP for the rules and regulations mate, let me bring this for you

I have already read the OP and I always do so before applying to any campaign here.

I have only changed the signature after OgNasty confirmed my acceptance via PM.

You would see my name in the list of campaign participants in some time when he is back online.
1052  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stack's Merit Tracker | Visualize anyone's merit data in the form of a graph! on: March 16, 2019, 01:58:05 PM
It looks great!

I tested it and it's shows fine data of user and accurately too.

Here is my link:
http://40.117.58.58:8000/?username=hacker1001101001

I would suggest to add usernames to the merit dots, like from which user the merit is received it would make it better for the user's to track around.
1053  Other / Meta / Re: Help with inbox / outbox messaging on: March 16, 2019, 10:15:16 AM
But I don't think anything will change, especially now when testing has begun on the new forum software.

Yes, most of the people are taking efforts in just changing the way the forum looks totally, it is rather better than the current version and with extra features. Also the ability to sort the message of a signal person which would solve the problem listed in the OP.

Quoting the screenshots here:

1054  Economy / Reputation / Re: Marcotheminer didnt repay me yet on: March 16, 2019, 09:19:19 AM
Mind if I give you some unsolicited advice? Stop borrowing money! If you usually can pay back a week later, wait a week with whatever you need the loan for. You'll save a large percentage on interest, you don't damage your reputation, you don't make people worry about their money, and you can still do the same things - just a week later.

This looks like the best advice in the thread.

Bitcointalk has a weard rule, here negative tag is weighted more than a positive tag, so just avoid getting in such situations.
1055  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN/RUNNING] SIGMA POOL SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: March 16, 2019, 07:10:52 AM
Applying for the campaign. Hope I fit your criteria. (56 earned merits)

I'm having problems finding users who are 1) not wearing advertisements already, 2) have a regular posting history, 3) post history isn't full of applications for signature programs, 4) is able to use links in their signature.

Would love to find some actual real users who are interested in participating.

1056  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam attempt? on: March 16, 2019, 05:50:12 AM

Please don't worry - 0.1 BTC will be on your balance after we activate your account and you will be able to withdraw it. It needs for the verification process.

4. After you confirm the code don't activate it. Send the code to me and we will complete the verification step.

This only point confirms that he is a scammer. He can just take the codes and withdraw it to his personal account without any problem and YoBit would never ask him if it's his own or not.

I think a ban suits here rather than a red-tag. Good catch @Coolcryptovator Wink
1057  Economy / Reputation / Re: A very difficult scheme of abuse merit (Sr+Hero+Legendary Member) on: March 15, 2019, 11:44:40 AM
Please move your thread to the Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Trading Discussion > Reputation

This seems to be a case of merit abuse for sure. But if you could find some common address or social media accounts used they could be easily nuked for ban envision.
1058  Other / Meta / Re: New sort of plagiarism on: March 15, 2019, 06:02:04 AM
_snip_
Once they are banned, any signature they had is removed. I can only speculate as to what he is doing. Some of these people might be participating in FaceBook, Instagram and whatnot advertising campaigns, while hoping to rank up with plagiarized posts in order to eventually participate in a signature campaign or otherwise earn additional money with the higher rank.
But, they should know the basic rules of operating under any forum if they want to earn from it, which is no copy-paste. I think this values as an universal rule on most of the online forum's. Ranking up is a pretty hard goal for them, as it would just ban more and more of their accounts if they keep on doing this. Not a smart way of earning maybe.

I am just guessing that there could be a ring of all those accounts and most of them are also abusing merit system by sending one merit to rank up to jr.member. They all could be alt of there merit sender's too.

I have found one more similar case. I don't know Russian language by the way, hope any native person could verify it. I confirmed it by Google translate.

Focusing on bitcoin, as an investment asset (a means of rapid growth of value), many overlook its true value, thanks to which its price on the exchanges is growing.  This value is a unique ability to save and transfer costs over distances without the involvement of a trusted intermediary.
In this sense, Bitcoin has advantages both before the issued by states with fiat money, and before gold.
Bitcoin exists outside of state institutions and does not need state regulation.  This is a completely self-contained system.
Bitcoin also does not need legalization.  Being outside the legal field does not mean illegality.
Undoubtedly, Bitcoin, by virtue of its special properties, mentioned above, is an attractive object for investment.  But, not this is its main function and mission.  Bitcoin came to this world to destroy the state monopoly on money and their circulation.  And to create a new monetary paradigm - henceforth the transfer of value is possible without intermediaries, as in cash calculation - from hand to hand.  Without central banks and other financial institutions.  Without uncontrolled money issue and inflation.
Therefore, bitcoin was a valuable currency, there is and always will be!
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 14, 2019, 05:21:17 AM
still looking for a decent ethereum wallet?
You should stick with Hardware Wallets like Tezor or Ledger to store your ETH, if you find other ETH wallets unsafe.

I too think there are not much of decent wallets for holding ETH and at the same time keeping the funds safe.

If you are specifically finding a online wallet to hold ETH, I would recommend using Blockchain wallet at the best as it already supports ETH.
1060  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save your crypto, Disable WPS! on: March 14, 2019, 03:21:01 AM
Most of the routers come with an already enabled WPS vulnerability, and most of the common internet users do not bother about it much which further leads to loss of data.

It is pretty easy to crack a WiFi password using some WPS cracking tools which are easily available on Play Store.

WiFi WPA WPS TESTER: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tester.wpswpatester

WPS CONNECT: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ngb.wpsconnect

Above cracking applications are easily available and can crack any of the WPS enabled WiFi in range of the device. This make's most of the WPS security to the network useless. A small child playing with different apps on Play Store can use it to get some free internet.

There are also other WiFi security, which can be an alternative to this problem like WPA/WPA2 but still as my personal text says, anyone should always remember "NO SYSTEM IS SAFE".
