Please verify my KYC Theymos, I like KYC very much, it makes me feel safe! (It is basically shit)

This sentence made me go to a photo studio to get my personal pic clicked.
Make sure it's a very serious selfie.

Happy April Fools day everyone!  Grin

Any change in the rule for plagiarism?
Nothing is changed.

ChiBitCTy is a trusted member and like an asset to the collacitable community here.

His paralyzied posts were not an financially motivated attempt and he was not trying to spam the community in any way hence the ban was uplifted by the administration.

If you have your personal legitimate reasons for an upliftiment you should post a thread as Quickseller suggest above.

hello, where I have to appeal, indeed I have an account that was banned too

You should have posted the links to all your alts here. You are already evading the ban from two accounts.

987  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another phishing site on: March 31, 2019, 05:01:48 AM
One more!!  Shocked

Thats pretty risky buy the way and any new user could get affected by this and end up being totally compressed with username and Passwords.

I also think this is the main source of accounts hacks happing lately.

Just for caution and more people could report I am dropping the link here. ( Its unclickable )

Phishing site: fonstavkdotcom

It would be good if you move the thread to B&H board, as most of the newbies are the once getting affected and it better suits there.
988  Economy / Exchanges / Re: the hack of popular South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb on: March 30, 2019, 04:33:47 PM
After the recent cryptopia hack, most of the people's were already shocked and doubted on the securities involved in crypto.

But after the Bithumb hack, I think it can increase the doubtablity of many investors in crypto. As per the above mentioned article they were attacked internally by some staff members. This looks like an very unprofessional reason to me and this should not happen often on an international level exchange.

I think yes, this is pretty disappointing to most of the crypto community overall.
989  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: March 30, 2019, 08:08:22 AM
So how your trust score become +1 since it's not a month that you have got positive feedback  Wink.

However I am not saying you are totally wrong. I just noticed on my first score, after I didn't bothered to calculate it. You might get more clear answers from below quote. Perhaps first score reflect after two weeks then increase by every month.

It starts changing after approximately 2 weeks, theymos uses "round_up" for months.
Yaa, its rounded up for an total month.

I think the algorithm shows it clearly! Grin

Code:
		score += min(10, round_up(months since rating))
990  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How to Earn Bitcoins on Android: The Mining Scam on: March 30, 2019, 06:22:26 AM
Basically it is possible to mine crypto on Android but its not profitable at all and I would not recommend anyone doing so.

It could damage your mobile's processor and add much of an difficult in handling it.

It's not worth it so its better staying away.
991  Other / Meta / Re: Withdrawing, my Merit Source Application. [Reason below] on: March 30, 2019, 06:03:33 AM
I don't think you should withdraw your application until someone like theymos officially disapproves it.

Also you don't need to to shift the support you could still support tk808 by personally being an applicant. It's not like a competitive type of application.

As r1s2g3 said, Theymos could be considering for more options or you and tk808 both could get a chance. Huh
992  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: March 30, 2019, 05:00:41 AM
Most likely every 14 days will increase 1 point from each feedback's within your trust network.

It increases every month by +1.
993  Other / Meta / Re: Unacceptable Behaviour By Forum Moderator HostFat & Rock Trading owner eliale on: March 30, 2019, 03:32:29 AM
As a point of clarity, HostFat claims in his signature that Rock Trading has been "A good exchange since 2007" but we all know when Bitcoin was created. Andrea Medri (eliale) from Rock Trading himself stated several times that Rock Trading has been operating since 2011 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.msg50365334#msg50365334) so why HostFat needs to exaggerate the date of operation is a mystery.

This content on there website could explain it better.

Source: https://www.therocktrading.com/en

In the above text its clearly stated that the company was born in 2007 as "The Rock Insurance Co" and became an operation exchange in 2011 after the name changed to "The Rock Trading".

That means the statement "The Rock Trading : A good exchange since 2007." is surely some what over exaggerated for marketing and not upto the point. The exchange was basically in operation from 2011 not 2007.

I don't think there was anything crypto related operating before Satoshi Nakamoto's Great idea in 2009.
994  Other / Meta / Re: Being able to comment on the merit given. on: March 30, 2019, 02:38:02 AM
So, my wish/idea is basicaly being able to see and explain why that person has been merited most specificaly.

You could just quote the merited message and reply if you want to support a post in your words after meriting it. Giving a feedback everytime you merit does not matter and is much of an time consuming option if implemented.

And yaa as bones261 said a merit source would just stuck up with lot of time if the above suggested option is implemented and used.

Edit: Pehaps being able to merit an user directly instead of his posts?.

This looks like an stupid sentence. Roll Eyes

Pheraphs meriting a users posts basically means meriting the user directly.
995  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED/RUNNING] SIGMA POOL SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: March 29, 2019, 02:59:22 PM
Regarding the regular posting history, are there any specific criteria or we're free to post as long as we stay active and not break the rules?

I think its better stated here:

RULES:
While a representative of SIGMA POOL, you are expected to uphold a certain level of regular participation on the forums.  Participants can be removed or denied from participating in the campaign for any reason at any time and must wear the signature for the entire month in order to receive any payment.  It is expected that participants participate regularly, and with legitimate posts.  Those found to be spamming or posting from multiple accounts with the same IP will be removed immediately.

But an OG explaination would surely be appreciated.
996  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned - Limx Dev - Reason is a one-year-old message on: March 29, 2019, 02:51:52 PM
But, if it is the case that lead to return of Limx Dev, with ban-unlift, so I guess others might complaint.
Why someone get ban-unlift with case-by-case handle, whilst others don't get it.

So, how to explain about it?

Everyone has it case by case as theymos said so I just think this case is a different one and an exception should be made.

And if others complian and have legitimate reasons for there ban upliftment there ban too would be handled in similar way I think. But we don't see much legitimate cases of unintentional paralzism attempts here mostly.

This could be the best example of legimate upliftment of ban which was successful recently:

[PERMABAN APPEAL] ChiBitCTy

By the way, in which cases users will get signature ban for 1 year, 2 years, rather than perma bans?
As i said there are very less examples and the above stated could be one.

Which kind of rule violations will cause punishments with year-long signature bans?
I think only if the ban reason is not financially motivated or not causing spam.Huh
997  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned - Limx Dev - Reason is a one-year-old message on: March 29, 2019, 01:14:11 PM
Are these the same users?
Yes, they could be Huh as the user dishwara is the one posting this ban appeal thread.

I don't see him explaining his connection with Limx Dev anywhere.

I think this shouldn't be treated as plagiarism. It looks like a message from the Team, posted by 2 different team members.
The original was posted by dishware, who also created this topic. I think it's obvious he doesn't think Limx Dev plagiarized his work. It looks like a double post from different accounts, I don't think that justifies a ban.

I agree with this.

This should not be treated as a intentional paralyzing attempt and if everything is handled case by case in paralyzing as stated by Theymos this should have been overseen as not an financially motivated paralzism.

I would support for an upliftment of the ban.

999  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned - Limx Dev - Please help on: March 29, 2019, 05:11:16 AM
Don't think this forum is a better place without Limx Dev and hope theymos will consider lifting their ban .
Best way to react to the ban or uplifting it would be starting a new thread about it as stated by Theymos here.

If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.

All I can read at the link you posted are some possible reasons ( based on something he posted back in 2015)  for which the ban was raised but that wasn't anything somewhat official or confirmed.

Yes, this is not an official reason, but we don't need an official one for paralyzing and its the most probable reason for ban.
1000  Other / Meta / Re: 's Merit Source Application [ALT Disc, ANN, ANN Tokens, Services] on: March 29, 2019, 03:31:28 AM
Altcoin section is just fucked up with lots of shit happing there daily with no human interest most probably bots and accounts farming. From all this shit it's pretty hard to find the posts which are worthy of merits but TK808 has done a great job in maintaining his interest in the altcoin section even after such bad criticisms of that boards by some of the members here.

As seen, TK808 is personally an victim of getting unnoticed even after making quality posts in altcoin section, he could understand the situation more clearly and would also be able to award merits in a effective manner as per I think. Also we need more merit sources in those sections for sure.

I would support this application from bottom of my altcoin heart! Roll Eyes
