Also, you may have gotten some more traffic by putting this thread in Meta.

Suits better in B&H as more newbies could nominate themselves or there "ranking up colleagues". Even nominating ourselves is allowed, hence can garb more traffic in sections where newbies roam around more often.
462  Other / Meta / Re: Change account Username/Name on: January 12, 2020, 03:06:56 AM
I would say NO to changing username feature on the forum, as it makes the forum world more harder to be friendly and identifiable to everyone. Even makes the overall experience on the forum confusing to many.

463  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Surely it's high-time for UID "Bitcoin SV" to be nuked? on: January 11, 2020, 05:52:56 PM
P.S. which country regulation should we use regarding freedom of speech in this forum?

I think a general perspective of freedom of speech is what we are trying to protect here. For me it has just one meaning, that someone's right to express his opinions should not be hampered even if they are biased. I don't see it dedicated to any nation on the forum, as it's more international.

Anyways, you can't ban opinions and specific types of thinking from the forum, they would just come back or evolve somewhere else. Grin
464  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] 3 different projects made by same account with the same copied content on: January 11, 2020, 02:51:14 PM
and where is the scam?. you see someone loose something not! then  Huh

Yes, anyways you are going to build hell lot of profits out of using the same info 3 times in 3 different projects to the investor's. Roll Eyes Only someone with his balls in his head would trust you.

It is a pure scam attempt.
465  Economy / Reputation / Re: They are abusing their power. on: January 10, 2020, 12:50:03 PM
You have only a big mouth. You have no other qualifications.

I am happy I don't seem as qualified as you to not understand the simple intend of using the flag system here. Get your frivolous flags off it is misuse of the system.

Indian Noob.

Nice, I atleast dragged something real out of you. Nice shades of darks you indicate in your creepy racist and low value thinking.
466  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Surely it's high-time for UID "Bitcoin SV" to be nuked? on: January 10, 2020, 09:38:23 AM
Even if you ban him why do you want to delete all his posts? (nuke)
Don't you want their to be a record left of how stupid the account was?

Some members quotes and scrape/archive his posts, so there will be record if user "Bitcoin SV" (or any user) got nuked.

Still, there stupidity would not be that public and accessible as it is now. And what about freedom of speech ?
467  Economy / Reputation / Re: They are abusing their power. on: January 10, 2020, 07:19:17 AM
Is it a good suggestion to delete the flags started by the banned members ?

I will show how it relates.

The-Devil getting banned soon as per the accusations here = All his fake flags getting deleted.

This would fulfil the overall purpose of an boycott from the community, and reduce the heck of opposing all of them.
468  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SOLD MEDIA] COINGEEK: Promoting BSV as reborn Bitcoin on: January 10, 2020, 06:05:10 AM
EDIT:

Looks like CoinGeek edited the article(s), ... thus proving they indeed publish 'fake news' ...

"😂 hilarious!

Note that Coingeek deleted the disclaimer (screenshot attached) and the article has been rewritten without mentioning the "update"."

...

"The first article 6 days ago still says "Also, January 6, 2009, was a Microsoft “Patch Tuesday” which updated and restarted Dr. Wright’s network of 69 machines, throwing them out of sync." though.

Rewrite coming in 1, 2, 3..."

That is really pretty LAME from an news crypto channel which says they want to provide fair covarage of the cryptocurrency industry on their website about page.

469  Other / Meta / Re: DT opinions needed...don't be shy, speak up. NOT concerning ourselves !!!!!!!!!! on: January 10, 2020, 05:52:11 AM
I think such attacking and openly blackmailing should not be an expected criteria for DT1 atleast.

471  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request Support (or Opposition) for Flags here! on: January 10, 2020, 04:53:34 AM
True but as usual someone will spot it and will bring it to our attention.

If this happens on larger scale later in the future, I don't think it would be notified or handled always. Even opposing that number of abusive flags is not always handy. Only theymos could handle this at light speed and he should now.

Btw, the thread title changing trick make it more confusing, please stop.
472  Economy / Reputation / Re: Overview of recent username changes in Bitcointalk on: January 10, 2020, 04:18:47 AM
Did someone thought about the effect of this username changes on the other users trust lists who have included or excluded them ? Like trust list is organised by using the usernames of the accounts and not UID so even after username change the UID remains same and only the username would be changed. Most of the user's trust list would be up with one of the old username and all gets messed up.

Anyways, the account registered by @asu under micgoossens username is autobanned by some logical mod around. I don't think you need to worry about it again El duderino_. Enjoy your privacy !

Code:
Autoban user: N/A in topic #0 by member #2744287

Deceptive behaviour is flag-worthy, see theymoses quote on account sales[1].
OP didn't asked TMAN to give merits to him or put on some highly intelligent trap to gain those merits hence not deceptive.
Any kind of highly deceptive behaviour is flag-worthy, there is no going around this. Precedent has been set. Why are you guys  trying to defend people who are trying to defraud others (regardless in what way, even if it something as simple as merits)?

Not defending him, just not supporting wrong use of something which is setup to be used abided by some rules for the betterment. I can't act like you making my own rules here, it would look bad on me.

Thanks for pointing, I was bit dump while supporting it but I too think that it is not an proper use of flag system. Deleted my opinion on the flag.
Thankfully you are wrong about this.

Hopefully, I am not.
475  Economy / Reputation / Re: They are abusing their power. on: January 09, 2020, 05:55:43 PM
I don't get the purpose of the flag. Is it for sockpuppeting? Or for plagiarism? Doesn't sound like a proper use of the flag system.

476  Other / Off-topic / Re: Create your own portrait !!! on: January 09, 2020, 04:50:53 PM
Can you give in some context behind the sample you have made? Does the pic have a story behind it or are there just random members you think that fit into each meme? I'm not into the forum politics that is why I don't know anything about this Roach guy and why the rest are huddled to him.

The Roach guy is claimed to be the biggest troll on bitcointalk by most of the guys with caps around, hence he is in the middle, if I understand this morden art.
477  Economy / Reputation / Re: Fortunejack Withdrawal Problem on: January 09, 2020, 04:41:56 PM
Still unresolved. I do not recommend this site to anyone.

Did they respond at all? FJ are pretty trusted and I don't think they would attempt to steal such a relatively small amount so I think they must suspect something wrong with your account.

There representative account here was last online on December 26, 2019.

Can't say when they will be back but it should be happened quick.
478  Economy / Reputation / Re: Overview of recent username changes in Bitcointalk on: January 09, 2020, 04:30:57 PM
I gave it a try and it seems that their old username is in available for using it again.

micgoossens - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2744287

I think announcing the registration here is a good move overall and we could always track the activity if needed and act accordingly. Or he could just give the accounts details to micgoossens, oo sorry' El duderino_ and he can change it later. But even after all this I don't think @asu would use this accounts for any trivial benifits.
479  Economy / Reputation / Re: Guilty until proven innocent on: January 09, 2020, 09:26:05 AM
Do you think it is good for "DT" to ignore burden of proof? Why or why not?

Ignoring burden of proof on the accuser is just like operating with double standards and hidden agendas in one way. So no it not good for anybody, not just DTs.
480  Economy / Reputation / Re: Guilty until proven innocent on: January 09, 2020, 08:56:56 AM
In legal terms, yes burden of proof is on the accuser.

Quote
The burden of proof is always on the person who brings a claim in a dispute

Source: Wikipedia: Burden of proof (law)

On Bitcointalk,

I don't think so is the case always, some people with higher powers on DT tend to ignore this.
