781  Other / Meta / Re: The font size of Local board in the main forum section is huge?? on: July 22, 2019, 02:20:23 AM
I too experience this sometimes on my mobile device.

I just avoided it until as some small glitch and just refreshed the page again to make it look normal.

How it shows to me:

I am inclined to think it's a browser problem itself, and not a forum layout issue. Huh

@iasenko, which mobile browser do you use?

I use Google Chrome BTW.

EDIT:

It not only happen with local board but the full forum layout is changed many times.

Lucky it happened with me again ! Cheesy

782  Other / Meta / Re: Unionize the membership. on: July 22, 2019, 02:06:32 AM
Trust is only a small part of the system, but the web of trust can easily be abused. Between activity, reputation, merit, and trust, I think we can find a common ground of systems.

Ok, so give us an example of the perfect system with no abuse please !

Most of this abuse are traceable here and acted upon by the community if you don't see.

Theymos is slave to the community. His todo list could be made public for all the forum to do. Distributed work is done faster with more nodes.

LOL, that sounds funny , Theymos is a person with high morals and ethics, great technical, political even cooking knowledge and probably much more, on the other had you seem to find it hard to get some brain cells active at least. He was made an admin here as he was trusted, not because he wanted to be a slave of the community.

His to do list is not public, it's all about his own choices and time management too.

783  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: July 21, 2019, 11:58:46 AM
that is not message from me!!! i will change my password now.
looks like somebody have access to my account.

You should sign a message from any of your connected old address to prove your ownership here, you could be an impostor for most of us.
784  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: July 21, 2019, 11:38:35 AM
Not really, but how will Bitcoin go global without being properly fit for institutions and big business?

Miners, exchanges are already btw...

We see they look into and find only the minimal initial protocol is on legal purpose and no issues with any regulator.

CSW is not the person who would make Bitcoin famous rather the users and community is..

Bitcoin is already global and more used and respected than your BSV shit FYI.
785  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Livecoin.net Scam on: July 21, 2019, 11:27:10 AM
@izooomrud
Please state your concern for this proposed resolution : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5167034.msg51895738#msg51895738

I have sent you a PM regarding the same.

This is just a bribe @izooomrud, just don't accept it.

Everyone here is supporting you not just because of your case but as a future costumer of the same exchange and so that anyone else should not get tied into a same problem while dealing with Livecoin exchange in the future.

I don't think much of the members from the Livecoin campaign would be willing to pay your loss from there pocket, I even don't think they should anyways.

3. Convince izooomrud to withdraw all scam accusation by assuming his lost money is about to be recovered.

Doing this would just be unfair and out of ethics for your part, still my guess is you would not accept it. It's just a assumption after all and participants of the campaign are not the once who should pay your losses, it would not happen every time either.
786  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hhampuz a DT member is Abusing the trust system? on: July 21, 2019, 11:08:51 AM
Just don't feed this troll, he is just stirring the drama here !
787  Other / Meta / Re: Unionize the membership. on: July 21, 2019, 03:02:11 AM
Because we got ranks and shit, let's turn this into a voting forum where we get votes by ranks and shit.

This way, we can coup...erm, "transfer ownership" to a good entity through "trusted" democracy. kek.

After the new DT changes, the system has already changed to a voting system, just use your trust list to participate in the voting process.

If enough of us sign a petition using a non-reputable signature, we get unionization... let's say 50% of membership, and we can do log(xxx) level, so even mods and admins get say, with a fuckton more votes.

None of this petition would give shit here until theymos finds it worth implementing, you even don't know how many things are on his to do list anyways. This is a centralized forum for you're kind info, you should stick this in your mind.

But if you see the good side of theymos's administration he already wants the community to get the power to decide who is trustworthy and who is not, so we should just respect this young mans thoughts.

788  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can I be negative rated for doing this? on: July 20, 2019, 09:02:34 AM
So they are hiding behind their terms and conditions just like most gambling sites do with their bonuses that are impossible to withdrawal and what not.

They are basically locking users funds, and deny to return them as user accused them on an online forum and in public. They even have this in there TOS. Huh
789  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can I be negative rated for doing this? on: July 20, 2019, 08:46:29 AM
I don't think you would get negative tagged for joining livecoin campaign.

But you could end up in yahoo62278's and probably other reputed managers personal blacklist for future and current campaign participants as discussed here.

Still, all this comes down to your own ethics if you would like to promote a exchange with shady TOS and a running scam accusation here.

BTW I don't think you should join it.
790  Other / Meta / Re: Heisenberg's Merit Source Application for the Indian Board on: July 20, 2019, 08:30:30 AM
I support this guy ! Indian board need's a merit source ASAP.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto left Bitcoin because of the CIA, a theory on: July 20, 2019, 04:15:47 AM
All of this are just assumption, and no one would know why he left or who he was?

The important thing is his vision which would not die until Bitcoin survives and that's what we should protect anyways. Cheesy
792  Economy / Reputation / Re: Livecoin participants should be tag? on: July 20, 2019, 03:37:58 AM
Wearing a signature is not directly advertising the site, one can wear even without the knowledge of the site and one can wear to support because in his experience, he never have had any problem with the site.

Yes, this is a another way around to think, but this sweet theory never/rarely happens, and I can bet my horse that not even single person there has been here to sever the forum for good as there greed/need for BTC dust surely outweigh there ethics. ( This is in reference to the applications until now on the campaign thread ).

A person should have due knowledge about the service they are advertising in there signature space, if there signatures promotion is polluting the community, it make the user advertising it untrustworthy too. So wearing a signature is directly advertising the site.

So this one person's scam accusation is enough for the community to conclude that Livecoin is a scam, isn't that fair?

If you walk down a restaurant, order some food and later you find out that there was a fly or something in your food, would you start comparing it with others and if others have received decent food, would you just stay quite and eat the food with the fly?? No, you would just bang the resto owner, tell 10s of your friends that the resto is shit never visit again and try to warn more and more people's.

This goes same with the accusation, one person doesn't matter, it's about how they react to it, and we expect the same from them in the future. So, if they are locking users funds now for accusing them publicly, they are sure to do the same with others in the future.  Who knows who would get a fly in his food next time !

I don't think red tagging them for this is the right way to react as we would destroy too much repo around, but other reputed campaign managers here could surely start blacklisting them atleast until there current accusation is solved as yahoo62278 suggested and sooner or later they would be left with shitposters IMO.
793  Economy / Reputation / Re: Livecoin Signature is back on: July 19, 2019, 04:45:10 PM
I checked the flag just now, and see izooomrud withdraw the flag, maybe that's the reason they do a timely comeback, just not sure though.
The flag was probably withdrawn as a way to try to get access to the money they are holding hostage.

It was just a mistake, he has supported it again.

WOW! What is that?! I don't know how it happened, maybe some kind of mistake! Thanks!

Either that or get rid of bullshit KYC

+1 just get rid of it, KYC is bullshit.

I agree, Freewallet are tracking nothing by doing KYC after deposit happens, it's that simple of an logic. Huh
795  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Mercatox.org (DT help needed) on: July 19, 2019, 04:12:49 AM
This is a well known type of scam attempt, they tend to send this type of messages on discord as well as on telegram.

There are many sites with similar designs around, and all are trying to spam with same strategies, even most of the domains are registered recently.

I was thinking of creating a warning thread about this before but, someone has already lined them in better way here.

cryptomate.co.uk seems to be the real exchange from which the scammer had copied the layout.

All of the rest with similar designs are fraud exchanges.
796  Economy / Reputation / Re: 100% of Quickseller's Flags are false. on: July 19, 2019, 02:48:56 AM
The majority don't have supporting evidence that such and such is an alt of his main target, that is why they are false. Anybody can accuse anybody of being an alt, but without evidence to support a claim, they are simply claims.

Anyone with "due intelligence" should question unsupported claims.

In addition, many of these accounts haven't been active since 2015, and only have a dozen posts or less under their belt. Seems like an unnecessary clog of information, but whatever.

I seem to have used my "due intelligence" before supporting those flags, if you see majority of the accused accounts post history they are in one way or the other connected to some ponzi or scam, most of them are shady anyways. It's worth supporting flags against this fraudsters than attacking the person who created them IMO.

Having less posts or being an inactive account doesn't mean it's not helpful to warn newbies about them, rather what you are advocating for looks like an unnecessary clog of drama, but whatever.
797  Economy / Reputation / Re: kenzawak hacked (again) on: July 18, 2019, 05:45:28 PM
I had no idea how staking worked when I posted those addresses. They were all linked to my blockchain wallet, and I found out that because they were "read only", I could not stake a message with them. However, the address that starts with "12v..." was my armory wallet, and those funds I have been locked out for quite some time now, because Armory is a real bitch.

Didn't thought I would have to re-quote this in future but this can help you in signing a message from your blockchain address.

I know that and have a more better and easy method than this to get private keys from blockchain.com. You just need to set a PassPhrase to your wallet on the blockchain.com. Put you're pass phrase on BIP 39 Mnemonic Code and you will easily get private keys to all the BTC address linked with your blockchain.com wallet and later you can sign a message with the Private Keys for sure. Hope this helps you. Wink

This is the only account that I use. That "accounts connected" thread was opened AFTER I had already lost my account. (My guess is that some website sold off all the hacked inactive accounts). The only proof I have is that I still use my awesome31312 gmail account. Literally any other forum would let you use your email to recover an account but it's w/e. I'm over it.

Also, I'm really sorry I brought this up again. I didn't follow the right protocol to account recovery, I admit. It was wrong of me to even post about it here.

Fair enough, I see the hacker has used your account in shady way.

Discussing more about it would be off-topic here, so I am out. You could PM me if you need help about signing a message rather.
798  Economy / Reputation / Re: kenzawak hacked (again) on: July 18, 2019, 05:19:41 PM
Don't mean to derail this thread, but how come he gets to have someone flag his hacked account, yet when my account was hacked nobody gave a shit. The worst part is that the guy who hacked my account is still using it (awesome31312) and it's so obvious he hacked it because the hacker speaks a different language. Also, the "hack" was really a vulnerability on Bitcointalk which allowed him to change the email of my account and use it like he owned it, all while not sending me an email notification. What a shitty forum.

Your case was totally different than kenzawak's, you were not able to sign a message from any of the previously used address on your account as I see here.

BTW, You already seem to have too many accounts operating.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3009408.0

Why do you bother about one ?  Roll Eyes

Feel free to support them if you feel they are correct:)

By looking at the evidence and some discussion in the topic linked to the flag, I am inclined to think that all of this accounts are high risk to deal with.

Flags supported. Smiley
800  Other / Meta / Re: The ban was a mistake. I need admin’s attention on: July 18, 2019, 04:39:59 PM
I asked theymos for the reports against you and it seems like it was just that copy and paste that got you banned. I unbanned the account.

Good to see mods acting in a positive and ethical ways. Keep it up!

And congratulations to Tvplus006 for the unban, stay safe here after. Wink
