1061  Other / Meta / Re: New sort of plagiarism on: March 13, 2019, 04:32:52 PM
I also looked at a few random pages of the two threads I can see, and it looks like there is little discussion among the thread participants in both of those threads, which helps allow plagiarized content to not stand out as much (it would be difficult to plagiarize content that is part of a conversation). A solution might be to disallow/lock threads in which it is apparent there is not much conversation between thread participants.

Yes, plagiarizing content related to a topic is a pretty difficult job, he would have to go through a hell lot of Russian websites, and find a related content to the topic on which he would be posting or else an off-topic post can clearly rise suspicion.

I don't understand what does the operator of this accounts earn from the copy-paste of this posts. He is using lower level accounts which obviously don't earn much, also he is not wearing any signature that takes him to zero income.

Are they spamming the forum for free? Huh
1062  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cold Doctrine? on: March 12, 2019, 01:40:16 PM
Doctrine specifically mean, that which is taught.

More info can be found here:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctrine

Cold Doctrine basically is the name of a military doctrine said to be started by India to react to the Pakistans terrorist attacks on the India-Pakistan border but its a fake news in reality and there is nothing like "Cold Doctrine" started by India but they have different more effective strategy to deal with the war isuue.

1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miner One BTC Mining ICO CEO Pranas Slusnys arrested for 6+ million dollar fraud on: March 12, 2019, 11:22:23 AM
By looking at the amounts of the fund the mining company scammed its surely a very serious issue about the fraudulent activities going behind the current ICOs.

Quote from: author=https://www.cloudbet.com/en/sports/soccer/adelaide-blue-eagles-v-west-adelaide-fc/e1450410
Photoshopped photos, blockchain blunders, power and mining anomalies, removing information from the internet, key players trying to cover-up their involvement and other deception from Pranas set the wheels in motion for his eventual arrest in what appears to be potentially a $6,000,000+ elaborate scam.

I am just surprised to see even after such an harsh atmosphere in the crypto industry, people are still investing in the ICO shits. You could find thousands of examples of fake ICOs on the forum itself, some of them have fake teams and others are just MLM. It's pretty hard to find a legit project to invest in today's days.

Such fraudulent activities can only be reduced by warning peoples about the risk in any investment, many people are becoming rich by just sitting at home and making an ICO plans to attract innocent investors, by showing them greeds of huge profits in the future. Until now any smart investor should understand the risks in the crypto market and what are the best ways to invest in it. If I was a crypto investor, I would have always choose to go with Bitcoin rather than any other alt ( I see most of them as shitcoins).

The above article can explain how a person could game on an MLM scheme by just showing fake images of some mining hardware ( Most of them were rusted because of no use) and can it also helps other in avoiding more such projects.

Had a successful trade. Would surely deal again with dozerz.
1066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Tipping Point: Kroger, Starbucks May Ignite Retail Crypto on: March 12, 2019, 09:21:34 AM
Fact check:
India's economy is not unstable, rather it is more stable than many EU countries. Venezuela is facing hyper inflation which is nowhere related to India's economy. The reason for India's adoption of crypto is completely different than the reason of Venezuela.

I totally agree with this India in no way, can be compared to Venezuela in sense of economic conditions. India is a very stable econimic power with huge number of people still living in a well diversed and economically stable way.

I think he has plagiarized a content from this websites without mentioning the source.

REGISTERING YOUR ICO IN GIBRALTAR
A new popular destination for ICOs is Gibraltar. Long have small nations or islands been centers for gambling, online poker, or offshore banking. The government of Gibraltar attempted to cash in on the ICO mania and attract prospective crypto teams with a recent statement. Gibraltar’s regulatory body distinguished between coins that are securities, and others that are not. The distinction is often driven by whether a token has in-app functionality, or some other practicality, as opposed to being a pure investment.

Gibraltar’s ability to recognize this is a good sign that it’ll be a friendly place for teams to work. As well, the nation is a tax haven. Many governments haven’t yet recognized that distinction, instead indiscriminately banning all ICOS. This gives Gibraltar a leg up when teams are looking around for somewhere to set up shop.

This could be a decent reason for getting banned for parallelism.

Good, description about why you could be banned here. Hope this at lest reduce the future annoying ban appeals.

You could also add a reason about ban evasion

If a person is banned already and reported to be operating another account, his new account too would be banned under ban evasion rules.

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
1070  Other / Meta / Re: DT members - ethical to sell DT services? on: March 09, 2019, 03:54:11 AM
Even if a DT reviews the Gambling service there are two ways of reacting to it.

1. After reviewing, if the DT puts some positive trust on the profile. This is surely a shady activity from both parties.

2. After reviewing, if the DT just vouches for the service and does not use any trust rating. Or reacts to it as LoyceV reacted here by giving a feedback from a non DT alt would be a decent way around.

1071  Economy / Reputation / Re: ["Risky" Loan] borrower [marcotheminer] on: March 09, 2019, 03:28:44 AM
My question is/was regarding additional 0.3BTC. What we got from this post
1. Avoid possibility scam if got 0.3BTC
2. Stopped Ponzi promotion.

I appreciate your efforts in, putting an end to a ponzi promotion made by a legendary member. Good job!

Why you are too much curious to lock the thread?

I have 0 curiosity in locking this thread, I just suggested a option to avoid unwanted accusations, against my name.

If you have faith then why you are not funding 0.3BTC?

I already said:

Note: I would personally go with not funding the loan, as I don't find the reason of getting a 3rd loan legit. But it does not mean he is sure to default the loan.
1072  Economy / Reputation / Re: ["Risky" Loan] borrower [marcotheminer] on: March 09, 2019, 03:10:57 AM
Quickseller, marcotheminer, 2double0, and hacker1001101001 all seem to be entangled with each other in one way or another.  I'm not suggesting they are all linked accounts, I don't have any hard proof of that, but there several odd things that seem to suggest they may be under the control of the same person.

I think you have a pretty bad sense of finding alts or account connections. Nothing is common between me and all others you mentioned (Quickseller is the most odd part for me), aside of me funding a loan to 2double0, which I found legit as he proved the ownership of his old address to me and I trusted him. This is also confirmed by Avirunes by verifying my conversation here.

Instead of shilling this thread with fake connections, you could put your precious time in finding other solid forum spams.

Let me know if I am wrong.
You could be right OR could be wrong!  Huh

It would only be cleared at the date of repayment of his previous loans.

As I said, you got a answer to your question from repayment. You could lock this thread now for avoiding fake assumptions as above.

1073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: -=< No Guts No Glory! >=- Hodl !!!!! on: March 08, 2019, 06:55:32 AM
I use to watch this show some years ago on my TV and found it pretty interesting then. It features amazing rush by gold hunter to mine Gold by reaching different places around.

Meaning : One must take risks in order to achieve a goal or glory. One who does not try, does not succeed.
This surely also applies to investing in Bitcoin and Holding it. Bitcoin is just like a digital gold who's value is sure to grow as the demand increases. If you show no guts in investing good sum of money in Bitcoin, you would also not get the Glory to earn big profits from it.

Todd Hoffman's motivation made him a millionaire from just a couple of achievement in start to large sum in future. If all of the crypto investors have same way of thinking and motivations, Bitcoin can become the strongest currency in the world one day.

Yeah, he strikes me as kind of shady, I wouldn't lend to him.  Ever since 2double0 made this loan request I've had my suspicions about marcotheminer.
I don't know how can you label a person risky before he has done any shady work here you can just keep it to a probability.

I see this forum as a place to make friends and on they way if I can help someone, buy just trusting him once  I am happy with funding him a loan for checking his trustworthiness. I am looking forward for 2double0 to repay the loan before the decided date. Hope this step of mine in funding the loan makes the situation more cleared.

Hey there in which forum section would it fit the most?
It fits best in the Games and rounds: Spreadsheet games, forum-based games, and discussion of individual rounds/games on other sites.

However, I recommend changing your requirement: asking for DT only to join looks a lot like you're buying trust. You should ask for trusted members instead.
OP,  just wants to get vouched by the reputed members here and I guess he thinks just DT members are much reputed here, which is true in some sense.

I don't think he has any intention to buy trust from what he says

sharing their testimonial in a seeding event after?
1077  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alternatives to the Internet for payment transfers on: March 08, 2019, 03:44:53 AM
This offline to online transaction flow diagram explains a method of offline crypto transactions better.

Source: https://cryptofuse.com/offline-transactions

It would also solve the doubt about, the trust issue @o_e_l_e_o listed above, they could overcome it buy building there own offline traceable blockchain which is linked with to original blockchain. That means, if you send some BTC offline into there device, it will act as a block storage and will print a same transaction in the original blockchain with no issue.

I think, this new tech about offline crypto transfer can just change the way crypto currencies are looked upon today. It would just crush the fact that "fiat is easy to use and does not need internet connection" and put most of the hussel about the crypto usage away from internet connectivity out of the game.
1078  Economy / Reputation / Re: "Last of the V8s" is filing fake scam reports on: March 07, 2019, 01:07:45 PM
I came to understand, feedbacks which aren't related to trade or scam like activities shouldn't be left with a positive or negative tag. The third option which is the neutral feedback should be used in a case if you feel the need lo leave a feedback.
Which is false. Stop spreading misinformation.

I don't know why you think it is a misinformation, but thats exactly what's stated by theymos, about the usage of trust.

In particular, in my view:
 - Giving negative trust for being an annoying poster is inappropriate, since this has nothing to do with their trustworthiness. If they're disrupting discussion or never adding anything, then that's something for moderators to deal with, and you should report their posts and/or complain in Meta about it.
1079  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Physical Leather Wallet with Generated Keys! on: March 07, 2019, 12:22:23 PM
Wallet looks pretty Good, I would consider getting one if you could put my personal public keys on it without sharing its private keys to anyone.

Can definitely do that, too.  First I needed to do a test, so I wasn't comfortable taking keys and hoping the wallets turned out okay.

Still watching it if anything updates!

ADM Radeon RX 580 was released on April 18, 2017. There are no traces of it before that date.

You can check the release date here.

I think the above image is somewhat fake.
