2721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will usage of bitcoin reduce the value of native currencies? on: December 29, 2018, 07:24:35 PM
It's not gonna happen. Firstly, governments would sure prohibit the use of foreign currencies from the start and forex wouldn't even exist. Secondly, there's not much people using bitcoin for daily transactions as most things are still priced in fiat. Even online stores are hesitant to accept bitcoin as a payment method due to the risk volatility carries. Lastly, bitcoin will never be a currency that could take on USD and EUR. While it can exist side-by-side with the said currencies, it can never go head-to-head with these guys in terms of usage.
Totally agree with you. We do not yet see the negative impact of cryptocurrency on lower prices fiat. For example, Japan last year received a few tenths of a percent of its gross income from the use of cryptocurrency, that is, the economy only benefits from this, which means that local money is strengthening, that is on the contrary, fiat only grows in price.
2722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All bankers hate BTC, am I right? on: December 29, 2018, 06:59:12 PM
This is a big exaggeration. Employees of banks that receive wages for their work, rather than a percentage of the profits of banks, almost no matter whether the banking system loses something from the introduction of cryptocurrency, or not. They may, on the contrary, be interested in additional earnings in cryptocurrency. Moreover, it should be recognized that only the top executives of various banks may lose their profits due to partial crowding out of the usual cryptocurrency currency. They may have a hostile attitude towards cryptocurrency.
2723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BitMEX CEO: Ethereum ‘Will Quickly Test $200’ When ICO Market Returns on: December 27, 2018, 05:33:57 PM
only 200 dollars? maybe he doesn’t know that soon there will be the Constantinople and this will definitely raise the price of Ethereum above $ 200
If the ICO's activities next year begin to be massively regulated by states, this may speed up the period of increasing their popularity and ultimately should lead to a sharp increase in the price of ethereum. Also, the price of ethereum should increase after the introduction of expected improvements in the next month.
I am also interested in the question of how tomorrow's possible merger of Bitcoin and ethereum will affect the formation of a bithereum coin. Link: https://bithereum.network. If such a coin appears, it can make a significant adjustment to the prices of Bitcoin and ethereum.
2724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: many investors fall poor because bitcoin prices are down on: December 27, 2018, 05:13:14 PM
Bitcoin prices dropped to make the altcoin price to be very low and even 500% lower than the price of ico, which makes many investors experience a lot of losses. not a few investors who become poor because of it. is it true that bitcoin affects the price of all altcoins Huh
This is a clear example of the fact that Bitcoin is actually very poorly performing the function of accumulating value and it practically cannot be compared with gold in this regard because of its high price volatility. The high price of Bitcoin now plays a negative role for investors who are going to hold it for a long time. At the same time, experienced traders can still have high profits using high bitcoin volatility.
2725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia starting ‘CryptoRuble’ !!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: December 26, 2018, 05:19:20 AM
Russia will issue its own ‘CryptoRuble’ decided in closed door meeting in Moscow, according to the local news sources. So, what is these so called 'cryptoRuble' ?  Does anybody have an idea? what about the other cryptos in Russia? Is it starting to follow China?
In Russia, they must first resolve the issue of legalization of cryptocurrencies, which should have been resolved in July, then in October of this year, but no law on cryptocurrency has yet been adopted. The question about its centralized cryptocurrency has been discussed there for a long time and it seems that it is the Russian Sberbank that intends to issue such a coin. Let let out. I think that this will not only not worsen the attitude to the decentralized cryptocurrency, but also vice versa, will increase the general interest in it.
2726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations are required for ICO & Bounties on: December 26, 2018, 05:03:50 AM
Of course, the situation with the regulation of ICO activities is already long overdue and it needed to be addressed several years ago. Fraud among ICO projects has reached a threatening scale and states are simply obliged to intervene and prevent crime. I know that many states are already preparing relevant regulations on this issue and I hope that in 2019 we will see many examples of regulating the activities of ICO.
A separate issue in this regulation is not only the protection of the rights of investors, but also of other participants in the bounty campaigns ICO. Now the ICO teams simply dictate their terms to us, therefore the rights and obligations of the parties in this case should also be settled.
2727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or EOS? on: December 26, 2018, 04:48:22 AM
More and more blockchain games choose EOS instead of ETH (and I believe it's the same with ICOs)

Hey crypto gamers! What do you prefer more?

example:
https://gameunculus.io/blog/94
In the future, the EOS coin may grow in popularity and price, but now ETH is still indispensable for ICO projects. EOS has a lot of unresolved problems so far and it will take a lot of time for this coin to become as popular as it is now with ETH. However, ETH does not stand still. We are waiting for the promised improvements next month, including with regard to solving the problem of its scalability. The future will show which coin will be the best.
2728  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Fiat - this is how I see the future on: December 25, 2018, 06:21:07 PM
In my point of view, Bitcoin can possibly replace the fiat someday. Like for example in the other country which they had decided to regulate Bitcoin legally to their own territory place and that is Japan, India and more. This is shows that Bitcoin has a big future waiting ahead someday, where the prediction of many particularly the bitcoin experts that bitcoin will become the world currency.
Bitcoin or another decentralized cryptocurrency can never replace the national paper money of the states. For this to happen, the government must make the appropriate decisions. However, no government will abandon its national money in favor of cryptocurrency. A cryptocurrency can successfully run in a state only at the same time as the national money of the state, otherwise it will have a bad effect on the economy of any state.
2729  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: December 25, 2018, 05:52:47 PM
In a large and serious business, high price volatility of cryptocurrency is a very big obstacle to its use as a means of payment. In any transaction, one of the parties will constantly suffer losses depending on the price movements of the cryptocurrency. After all, since the preliminary agreement and until the practical implementation of the transaction, a considerable time passes and during this time the price of the transaction in the cryptocurrency can change dramatically.
2730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think abot ico new projects? on: December 24, 2018, 02:22:23 PM
As always, among the new ICO projects there are many good and promising ones, many useless ones, and the number of fraudulent ICO projects has increased. As long as this activity is not regulated by the states, this situation will continue. Unfortunately, the many abuses of the ICO team against bounty hunters are increasing. This is especially true for KYC checks, especially after the end of the ICO term. Because of this, part of the bounty hunters left this activity.
At the same time, the idea of using tokens continues to evolve and this is generally good for cryptocurrency.
2731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rise and fall of stablecoins on: December 24, 2018, 02:05:23 PM
Do not trust too much in centralized stable coins as we could never know 100% if they are fully backed with Fiat. I like decentralized stable coins like DAI which has an interesting incentivizing mechanism  without being backed by Fiat. By the way, Coinbase listed DAI two days ago.
I like stable coins. This is not exactly a cryptocurrency, since they cannot bring us profit. However, they create ease of use of cryptocurrency. Stable coins actually in some cases become a buffer between cryptocurrency and fiat, and in others - a good settling tank when it is urgent to withdraw funds from one cryptocurrency, but it is not yet time to invest these funds in other coins, and withdrawing funds to fiat is not practical.
2732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaining or Losing ??? on: December 24, 2018, 01:49:48 PM
Have you come to think of your time and resources invested in Crypto-community? Has your effort yielded the desired result since you join the cryptocurrency world?
Sometime i get frustrated either to quite the crypto business or to give it a second thought due to what is going on in the entire crypto-community, were there are no more trust. I have carry out a proper research on myself and i found out that am losing to cryptocurrency.

What about you, gaining or losing?
In principle, I am pleased that I work with cryptocurrency, including in this forum. Thanks to this activity, I learned a lot about cryptocurrency. Given the circumstances of my life, I have a lot of free time and I use some of it to work on this forum. Last year I earned a lot of tokens in the ICO signature campaigns, but my account was hacked and a significant portion of the tokens were stolen. However, I am still satisfied with my earnings. In this outgoing year, I earned little tokens, most ICOs extended the deadlines, some were suspended. Only now I see the already active accrual of tokens in the tables, some ICO campaigns began to list them in wallets. Hope for a living there, we'll see. In the end, I think I gained more than I lost.
2733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Christmas gifts this year, all my money in Bitcoin on: December 23, 2018, 06:51:50 PM
Now, probably. Many have invested in cryptocurrency, but it does not make sense to cash it at this time, since it has now fallen in price. It seems that this year many will see Christmas and the new year much more modest than usual because of this. Nothing can be done, investing in cryptocurrency is risky. The one who knows how to wait and choose the right time to make the appropriate decision will win.
2734  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Who owns Bitcoin? on: December 23, 2018, 06:37:46 PM
Bitcoin is invented by Satoshi Nakamoto but it is common knowledge that his identity is not known. If there arise any dispute related to bitcoin or its ownership, how would it be settled by court of law or in other words who is the legal owner of bitcoin?
Bitcoin does not belong to anyone, because no one has been granted a patent for his invention. In court, there can only be a dispute over the recognition of the right of ownership or ownership of a certain number of bitcoins. It will be easier to do after the state legalizes cryptocurrency.
2735  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Unregulated market is illegal or legal? on: December 23, 2018, 06:27:09 PM
Comming from a 3rd world country, many opinions around but not certain. The country gov. doesn't have official statement about crypto. There is a law that you cannot own a bank account abroad and that you can't own stocks outside of the contry. But i think crypto doesn't fit into stocks sector. What are your oppinions?
Cryptocurrency can not be considered a bank account, especially open outside the state. It also can not be considered shares. In any case, until the cryptocurrency is legalized in a particular state and its official status is determined, it cannot be equated to any other type of document.
If a cryptocurrency is not regulated by states, it should be considered legal, since there will not be a special prohibition on its use. As a general rule, it is allowed to engage in any type of business, unless there is a special ban on them.
2736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Aren't we killing the market ourselves? on: December 13, 2018, 03:57:45 AM
Most people are here complaining about the dip in crypto and asking when the market is going to recover, yet they are the same people busily dumping all their holdings hard on exchanges. Who should continue holding and stabilize the market for you? Don't be a selfish investor.
In a cryptocurrency, everyone can act in their own way, as it seems to him most beneficial for the preservation and enhancement of their coins and tokens. Therefore, I do not think that it is worth blaming someone that he does not keep his cryptocurrency. This is the same market as other markets. If we deliberately keep the cryptocurrency and thus artificially raise its price, the same thing will happen that we see after December last year, when after a sharp rise in the price of bitcoin the market still stagnates after the price decreases by 70 - 90 percent .
2737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if the ICO projects pay the bounty hunters in bitcoin only? on: December 13, 2018, 03:41:29 AM
that will never happen because an ICO owner doesn't want to spend money. or at least spend the least amount of money. so they pay with the thing they are creating out of thin air aka the tokens they create. and that costs them nothing.
paying with bitcoin requires them to pay money and buy bitcoin and pay with a valuable coin.
Some ICO projects already pay for bitcoin bounty hunters and, more rarely, ethereum on this forum. However, of course, it is unlikely that all ICO teams will want to pay for the work of bounty hunters in Bitcoin or ethereum, since on the whole this is not very profitable for them. The task of ICO is to distribute its new tokens and collect bitcoins and ethereum, and not vice versa. If some ICO teams are interested in bounty hunters not lowering the price of their tokens after listing on an exchange, then for this reason as well they can do it.
2738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain or Cryptpcurrency? on: December 13, 2018, 03:26:35 AM
Hey guys, there are two different difenitions: Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. A lot of experts say that crypto is going to die soon but blockchain itself is a very useful technology. What do you think are they right? Do you think blockchain can exist without cryptocurrency?
The concept of blockchain is much broader than the concept of cryptocurrency. Blockchain is a technology and one of its uses is the creation of cryptocurrency. Therefore, the blockchain technology will exist without cryptocurrency, but the cryptocurrency without the blockchain technology cannot exist.
The blockchain technology is highly appreciated by all states, even those that do not recognize cryptocurrency and prohibit its circulation on its territory. The leader in issuing patents for the introduction of this technology is China, which limits the circulation of cryptocurrency so far. In China, more than six billion dollars have already been used to implement blockchain technology.
2739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins! on: December 12, 2018, 06:11:36 AM
Well I have no more patience in holding it so I decided to dump all the altcoins listed in an exchange in a low price. I have been accepting already that I loss already in investing those altcoins. Because we are now in the peak season of the year 2018 and cryptocurrency market seem nothing to have gone good and I have also some needs to meet for the holidays so I sold all the altcoins. I will just check later on if cryptocurrency will going to be back at its normal market.
In my opinion, selling their own Altcoins now, when they have lost up to 90 percent of their value, is not a smart decision. Even if partially some coins and tokens die, others after a while should give a good profit. If you urgently need funds, then you can sell only those coins and tokens in respect of which there are doubts about their growth.
2740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: December 12, 2018, 06:03:04 AM
In any case, if you keep your 250 ethereum, you will end up with a good profit over time. This coin is one of the most promising today, despite its very large price drop at this time. True, it is predicted that Bitcoin will continue to fall throughout the winter to about $ 2,000. With such a bitcoin price, ethereum can drop proportionally to bitcoin by another third, that is, somewhere up to $ 60. Therefore, part of this coin can be transferred to promising coins, which do not lose so much their value, or even into stable coins.
