2981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum/Altcoins Be Valuable Or Relevant without Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2018, 05:59:52 PM
There was an argument recently, for and against, about the fact that non-existence (if possible) of Bitcoin would render or make Ethereum (and other altcoins) useless.
majority of altcoins serve one purpose and that is to generate money for their investors aka speculators. with or without bitcoin they may exist because pump and dumps don't just go away. people are making a lot of money from them! besides they are mostly useless already if you don't count what i just said as their usage.

Quote
In my own knowing, I knew that Bitcoin came on the scene the first, and that the idea of it inspired Ethereum second,
ethereum is in no way "second" it is after at least a couple of thousands of different altcoins!

Quote
which gave platform for many Ethereum-based tokens,
that is the only reason ETH exists and the only reason it is this pumped up. because it offered a very easy way of creating tokens out of thin air which you could offer in an ICO and earn a shitload of money. so it attracted thousands of scammers and people who wanted easy free money to itself.

Quote
Could all of these starting from Ethereum still exit or useful if Bitcoin wouldn't be any more?
The answer to me is in affirmative, but can anyone lecture on why not?
Insightful answers please.
there was a topic that was deleted because OP of it was advertising shitcoins, in there he was insisting that ICOs are "solving problems". i asked him to provide an example of at least one and he failed. i ask you again. what is the usage of Ethereum? creating ICOs. what is the usage of ICOs? what have they solved? nothing. prove me wrong!
ICO solve a lot of practical issues. As is known, blockchein technology is very well used for secure and open storage of large databases, this has been successfully applied in ICO projects. The simplest example. Prior to the appearance of the corresponding ICO, merchant ships were transporting a certain product to the destination and, as a rule, returned empty. Using blockchein technology, ICO has connected shippers and merchant ships around the globe into a single database, where everyone can go in and use information about the relevant passing cargo or vice versa, about a ship that can take a load of goods along the way. This is provided by the ICO team, which provides the opportunity to carry out related transactions for the transportation of such passing goods through smart contracts. It is fast, convenient and profitable for everyone. Saves a lot of time and money.
2982  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should on: August 05, 2018, 04:30:18 AM
Tax gets misused many times like funding NASA "planet mars mission". There are more meteorite hits on Mars than on Earth but they are spending tax payers multi-million dollars on Mars missions. Wasteful government expenditure of the governments must be cancelled by the taxpayers.
In my opinion, it is better to invest in studying the planet Mars, than on an endless arms race and permanent local conflicts, and even global wars.
And taxes still have to pay, nowhere we will not get away from it. If we refuse to pay taxes in bulk, it will be even worse. Then we will have to defend ourselves against armed gangs, if everything collapses and anarchy reigns.
2983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The longer the bounty, the fewer the earnings? on: August 05, 2018, 03:42:43 AM
My friend just told me recently that he is leaving the bounty that we both joined last January. The ICO has been delayed many times and it is getting longer. He said that the longer the bounty period of an ICO, the fewer the coins that you will earn. So it is true based from your experience? Should I also leave or stay?
In general, it is. If the duration of the ICO project is extended, and repeatedly, this already indicates that the project has problems with fund-raising. Apparently, the team is struggling to collect at least a minimum amount on the softcap. And this means that you will not get a good payment. In addition, during the period of renewals, perhaps, several times, you could already participate in another ICO project. Especially disadvantageous is the extension of ICO's terms with small ranks. The longer the duration of the ICO, the greater the gap in earnings of higher ranks.
2984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How helpful Bitcoin in future? on: August 05, 2018, 03:32:37 AM
Hey everyone i want to know about how helpful bitcoin in future? Give the real life example! As you know in many country bitcoin is not legal,so behalf of that give your opinions?
To express my opinion I want to quote Tim Draper's words, who made over $1 billion by getting early on Twitter, Skype, Tesla:"In five years, if you try to use fiat currency, they will laugh at you. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be so relevant... there will be no reason to have the fiat currencies."
I do not think that these words will come true neither in five years, nor in fifty years. You do not have to break away from real life. The usual national money will always exist. The Crypto-currency, in any case decentralized, can never replace conventional national money. No state will allow this to happen. Citizens can use each other as much as they want. However, when calculating with state and commercial structures, I do not think that they will completely switch to using crypto currency, which changes its price if not every minute, then every hour exactly.
2985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hunters Dump Always? on: August 04, 2018, 04:33:45 AM
Of course, so it is. Bounty hunters choose ICO projects for joining themselves primarily on the prospects of the project itself. Therefore, they will not immediately sell tokens on the exchange, as soon as they appear there. This contradicts common sense: to sell comparatively cheap tokens now, if they can grow several times in a few months, and sometimes tens of times. There are not so many situations when the size of payments is expected to be large, although tokens in themselves may not be so valuable in the future. Then it makes sense to drop such tokens, while they are still relatively expensive in price. Well, there are cases when individual hunters behind their heads urgently need money to cover their current expenses. However, in general, you can not blame the fee for lowering the price of the token after it is transferred to the stock exchange. In fact, because of the generosity of the ICO campaign, only a few percent of the released tokens are allocated.
2986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin dominance is it the END ? on: August 04, 2018, 04:04:54 AM
I think bitcoin dominance will be back soon, as the bitcoin price make big moves and value increases the dominancy will also grow but personally i like the fact that both bitcoin and alts are growing together at the moment.
If we look at bitcoin's dominance throughout the years, we can see that it is decreasing. In May 2013 btc has 94% of marketcap. May 2014 left it with 90.5%. A year later marketcap dominance was 88.5%. During May 2016 bitcoin had 81.8% of the total crypto market capitalization. One year ago its dominance decreased like crazy and went down to 53.6%. The current dominance is 38.5%. I think this info (I calculated it based on the info of historical snapshots made by coinmarketcap.com) makes it obvious that the dominance is only going down. And it's natural, because other projects become stronger.
This is very serious information. It clearly shows us that in fact bitcoin is very poorly developed and improved in comparison with other types of crypto currency. New coins and tokens constantly appear, which have lightning-fast transactions and practically do not have commission fees. Therefore, bitcoin is in many respects inferior to them. If the network of lightning does not correct the situation, bitcoin will soon have to give up its place as the leader of the crypto currency, and at the same time it will lose the opportunity of price dominance over other types of crypto currency. I would not say that the last is so bad. The increase in  bitcoin dominance in the crypto currency market actually means the absence of a free market for crypto currency.
2987  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happens if everyone has own currency, doesn't a bad for Economics ? on: August 04, 2018, 03:51:33 AM
If practically every private person has his own crypto currency, this will not affect the economy of the state, since such a crypto currency will not play absolutely any role and will be absolutely useless signs. It will in fact not be used anywhere, since it will not be necessary for others. Therefore, there is no sense to spend time and money on it.
2988  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: August 04, 2018, 03:44:05 AM
Now, without exception, all states, even those that are suspicious or negative about the crypto currency, point out the absolute necessity and usefulness of blockchein technology. In this regard, the position of the Chinese government is indicative. They developed a two-year program to completely ban decentralized crypto currency, but in this country the government issues the largest number of patents for the introduction of blockchein technology. This technology is simply irreplaceable in cases where it is required to openly and safely use large databases on the Internet, as well as in other cases. Therefore, the technology blockchein will greatly help the economy of each state, as well as private business.
2989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wasted 3-4 months in bounty and at end got nothing ?? on: July 31, 2018, 04:32:07 AM
I was a part of korona coin signature campaign from the bountyhive portal after working of 3-4 months i get to know that ICO did not reached the soft cap and i was not awarded any thing....that has caused me depression now....how the hell i choose a good bounty...after doing some research users suggested me bountyhive is good and i got this...what now...how to choose a good bounty that atleast pays somthing...some say good bounty managers but some of those campaign pays as well.....which ico rating sites are best for this please help....

Currently which is the best campaign to join can anyone suggest.... Huh
Yes, unfortunately, this now happens quite often. During the period of the general fall of the crypto-currency market, investment activity in ICO projects also significantly decreased. Therefore, many even good ICO projects do not collect the necessary funds even for Coftcap. In addition, there are now many ICOs with fraudulent projects. Work for bounty hunters has become quite difficult. I have to carefully select ICO projects.
2990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wasted 3-4 months in bounty and at end got nothing ?? on: July 29, 2018, 03:53:18 PM
Unfortunately, sometimes it happens. In the period of the general fall of the crypto-currency market, many good ICO projects do not raise enough funds and then bounty hunters get nothing for the work done. From this now no one is immune. However, now we need to carefully choose ICO projects for accession. You can join only when ICO commands have already collected softcap, to guarantee at least some payments.
2991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH or Ripple? on: July 29, 2018, 03:12:01 PM
Ripple is quite a specific coin that is created to serve the banking system and is still a centralized coin. It can not be said that it is not promising, but it is much inferior in its popularity to ethereum. Coin ethereum has always been the most reliable and promising. When the Plasma project is introduced into it, which completely solves the problem with the scalability of ethereum, the price of this coin will increase greatly. Therefore I consider that it is necessary to buy ethereum.
2992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your ETH until cross 1k on: July 29, 2018, 02:48:00 PM
Of course, ethereum is a very reliable and promising coin, which will grow well when the crypto-currency market begins to rise. So you need to keep your coins ethereum. The current price of this coin is now very small, this coin is clearly underestimated. The ethereum price will increase significantly if a Plasma project is introduced, which completely solves the problem of scaling ethereum, allowing it to make hundreds of thousands of transactions per second instead of the current fifteen.
2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China to have their own digital currency based on blockchain technology on: July 28, 2018, 02:57:34 AM
I did not even doubt that the Chinese government would issue its own crypto currency. With such a dislike of the decentralized crypto currency, they have only one way - to issue their centralized crypto currency. True, it's been a long time already, but nothing has been heard about such a crypto currency. Apparently, they are very serious about this issue.
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Earnings on: July 28, 2018, 02:50:57 AM
Yes, the translation campaign in the ICO is always paid fairly generously. At the same time, ICO signature campaigns are also among the highest paid among all types of generosity ICO. Recently, however, it is very difficult to join a campaign that would be successful. Many do not raise enough funds and cut payments to participants in the generosity campaigns of ICO. There is nothing to be done, the crypto-currency market is in decline.
2995  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crypto Apocalypse on: July 28, 2018, 02:35:42 AM
Crypto currency can not constantly grow in price. She needs periods of falling and stagnation. It's all right. After the December price increase, bitcoin went to a deep correction and now we expect the rise of the crypto-currency market again. Therefore, while there is time, it is better to purchase cheap coins and secure a profit for the future.
2996  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen to banks? on: July 28, 2018, 02:27:22 AM
Even if the crypto currency completely conquers our world, the banks will exist without any problems. Banks have a lot of their own specific work, without which no state can manage. However, in my opinion, banks will not perform various operations with the crypto currency, such as accepting crypto currency for depositary storage, issuing loans in the crypto currency, and others, since such transactions will be too risky for them.
2997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big market crash has started? on: July 26, 2018, 07:33:47 PM
Since I posted this subject the market conditions have changed and Bitcoin looks like it will smash 7K soon!
Long live Bitcoin
Yes, indeed, bitcoin has surpassed the price of 7000 dollars and now its cost is 8228 dollars, which is quite promising. Therefore, we need to prepare not for the collapse of the market, but for its good rise. The crypto-currency market can not stand on the spot for a long time, this contradicts the nature of the decentralized crypto currency. Therefore, the crypto currency has only one way - up.
2998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum 2.0 in a few months? on: July 26, 2018, 07:22:11 PM
If after several months the Plasma project is introduced into ethereum, and this completely solves its problem with scalability, then soon this coin will increase in price several times.
In addition, they say, ethereum will also introduce other platforms that will provide it with completely different and new opportunities.
2999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: July 26, 2018, 07:12:52 PM
It is still too early to talk about this, but such a scenario is possible. This can happen if bitcoin itself is not improved, and it will increasingly be used as a means of accumulating value, and not as a means of payment, that is, as digital money. In this case, bitcoin will grow in price and then periodically and deeply fall, which can cause a negative reaction and distrust towards it.
3000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How we can stop scam ICOs lanching? on: July 26, 2018, 06:52:37 PM
I think we should protect to issue scam ICOs in the crypto market. It creates misconception between new user and about market. What you think?
We can not stop the fraudulent ICO projects. They are entitled to be conducted by any persons and unhindered. We can only help publicize such facts and bring them this way to the attention of law enforcement bodies, so that they take appropriate measures. It remains to be hoped that in the near future, states will begin to regulate the ICO process and this regulation will exclude fraud in this kind of activity.
