Two Australian Bitcoin exchanges shut down following arrest of key executive (good thing they arrested the guy before he could scam anyone)

https://micky.com.au/two-australian-bitcoin-exchanges-shut-down-following-arrest-of-key-executive/

"Micky can reveal two Australian cryptocurrency exchanges have been suspended by AUSTRAC after a ‘key member’ involved in the businesses was arrested during Australian Federal Police raids across Melbourne yesterday.
...
He’s been charged with importing, trafficking and possessing a total of approximately 30 kilograms of drugs, including MDMA, cocaine, methamphetamine and ketamine.

Police will allege the 27-year-old played a key role in directing the operations of a criminal syndicate, which used various dark net sites, Bitcoin accounts and legitimate business for the sourcing, payment and distribution of illicit drugs.

Following the arrest, financial regulator AUSTRAC suspended the registrations of two digital currency exchange businesses the 27-year-old is associated with."
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What made BNB rise to near 0.004 BTC mark? on: March 08, 2019, 07:17:34 AM
Around +150% in a few weeks.
A few things that could explain this :
-their launchpad service with 2 very succesful ICOs already (Fetch and Bittorent)
-the launch of their DEX testnet
-some kind of partnership with Argentina

I'm surprised to see Wenger on that list LOL
Well, now probably you can find Wenger in all similar lists when one of big clubs are looking for manager Cheesy.

There's talks about Wenger joining PSG to replace sporting director Antero Henrique who doesn't get along with Tuchel.

PS:

2009: less than $0.01

Actually less than one tenth of a penny. The genesis block was 3rd Jan 2009, but BTC carried no market price until October of that year.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: March 07, 2019, 10:21:52 PM
That Rennes team is very surprising.
They have one player in particular, Hatem Ben Arfa, who when he was younger was supposed to become a huge star. He's been a disappointment in most of the teams he's played for but there's no denying that when he puts his mind into it, he's something special.
He was the main reason for Rennes passing through Betis and from what I heard he had another great performance against Arsenal tonight.

Bitcoin Valuations
MARKET CAP
The market price multiplied by the coin supply. (a.k.a Network Value)

REALISED CAP
The value of all coins in circulation at the price they last moved, in other words an approximation of the value paid for all coins in circulation. By Coinmetrics.

NVT CAPS
Values the network using the networks monetary velocity. In essence mapping NVT Ratio back to target Market Cap. NVT Caps make up a fishnet that tends to converge at accumulation bottoms. (By Willy Woo)

AVERAGE CAP
This is the "forever" moving average of Market Cap. The cumulative sum of daily Market Cap values divided by the age of the market in days.

DELTA CAP
The Realised Cap minus Average Cap. Useful for catching the market bottom, and also as a timing indicator for market tops and the start of the bull phase by tracking its oscillation between Realised Cap and Average Cap. (Experimentally proposed by David Puell)

TOP CAP
The average cap multiplied by 35. Historically has matched market tops. (Experimentally proposed by Willy Woo in collaboration with David Puell)

INFLOW CAP
The cumulative value of all coins at the price they were mined.

FEES CAP
The cumulative value of all the fees paid on the network.

Highest level of stupidity

I don't think that it's so stupid - cash is always present inside!

Well, there can't be any coins but there must a bit of cash inside yes. But if I were to rob an ATM, I'd go with something more "popular".

Plus it seems like it was an inside job so I guess they knew what they were doing :

Today, I talked to a guy who was at the game between PSG and MU. He's part of the hardcore fans of the club. He told me that if they could have, they would have invaded the field after the match (they can't because there's a gap between the stands and the field) , that's how angry they were at the players. He also told me that the players usually prepare specifically for such games (they stay in a hotel a few days before, away from their families and all) but they didn't do it this time.
Overconfidence is what's ruining this team.
In French papers today, they say that what happened is even worse than the 6-1 loss to Barca two years ago.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: March 06, 2019, 09:36:27 PM
I don't think PSG will give 100% tonight but they should go through without a scare

I told you guys, that's the kind of team PSG is. No wonder they took a 6-1 against Barca.
They need to be more focused, more professional if they ever wanna win the CL.
Only 15 minutes to go.

Bitcoin mining sees growth after 19-month low

https://cryptoinsider.com/bitcoin-mining-sees-growth-after-19-month-low/

"After over a year and a half of decreasing Bitcoin mining revenue, a new report shows a small yet significant recovery in the gross margins.
...
Last month, Bitcoin mining revenues fell to their lowest intake since August 2017. The total mining income in February 2019 totalled $195 million – a mere fraction compared to the $951 million peak of December 2017, and a 10% decline from the previous month.
...
“In December 2017 fees alone earned miners over $295Mn. But along with the price drop and the adoption of SegWit rising from an average of 12% in January 2018 to over 43% in February this year, revenues from fees have become an afterthought.”
...
The gross margins of the miners went down from 94% at the beginning of 2018, to 32% at the beginning of 2019. But in February, the gross margins rose up slightly to 39% as shown in the graph below.

...
While there is a positive turn in the mining industry, we cannot make wild assumptions about the implications it may have on the market in the near future. The information here is not sufficient to conclude that an indication for a nearing bull market or an improvement of price stability.
...
Another important point to note is that in May 2020, Bitcoin is going to be halving – namely, the bitcoin mining rewards will be algorithmically reduced by 50%. This means that the rewards per newly discovered block will drop from 12.5 to 6.25. Mining will be significantly less profitable if the Bitcoin price will not grow by then."

Some Spanish press is reporting that Zidane agree to comeback to Real from the next season
Perez will agree on any needed transfers and team rebuilding

If I had to bet, I'd say Zidane takes Allegri's place in Juve and Allegri goes to Real.
I don't see Zidane going back to Real, it's not his style.
1320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 146: Lewis vs Dos Santos Prediction and Info Thread on: March 06, 2019, 04:20:00 PM
I'm going with Dos Santos... mostly because I don't like the kind of fighter that Lewis is. He may be a nice guy and all but he is no athlete. He'll never get anywhere if he stays in that kind of shape. You have to respect the sport, be a professional and for me he's not doing that.
