1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 18, 2019, 06:53:37 PM
Fuck I hate it when a fight ends like that. Now everybody's gonna praise Ngannou and trash Velasquez when there was actually no fight.
Velasquez deserves better than this.

I'm surprised you guys aren't talking about Kron Gracie's debut in the UFC.
He is the son of Rickson and a former Jiu Jitsu world champion. Hi MMA record is 4-0.
Still young also at 30 years old.
He was having the lineage but he is still raw in MMA but he is a good ground fighter but not championship material right now, he won the fight in the first round via submission but with opponents getting better with good striking then it will be a challenge for him if he did not pick up his standing game.

I'm a big fan of the "ground fighting" era, the one with the Gracies, Shamrocks...and I for one believe that if MMA evolved that way it's because everything was done for it (no time limits, weight categories, striking rules...). For me the best fighters are still the ones that fight like Couture, Khabib (different from Couture but still a ground fighter), not like McGregor, Liddell... so yeah I believe Kron can do well in the UFC. 5 MMA fights, 5 submissions. It's just a shame that his first UFC fight was against a very average fighter.

1703  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: February 18, 2019, 06:25:14 PM
and all that one line posts you do is contribute to total sum of your posts. Do you call that posts high quality and valuable for payouts in any signature campaign? Stake is paying even for that posts, there is no rules that posts are not allowed in any board.

What is it to you ?
Steve said "this campaign will promote organic conversations that you actually want to be part of and allow you to effortlessly accumulate high post counts."
If I understand this correctly (not being sarcastic here, English is not my native language), all he wants is people to have real, effortless conversations.
That's all it is, having a regular conversation... and that includes one line posts that seem useless to you but actually make that conversation ! I don't see anything wrong with that.
If he doesn't want to count them, fine I don't care. That won't stop me from making them.

About the fact that he will count posts in any board, I assume that what he has in mind is mostly local boards. So what ? Are you saying the posts people make in local board are useless ? I disagree and that comes from someone who posts in English as much as in French.

Not everybody here is posting for rewards, merits or whatever. I'm sure there are many like me that are here to share, learn and have fun... and that means making normal posts, real ones, not "automated" posts that we have read hundreds of times. If only high quality posts like you say were paid, not many people here would make any money.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all against spamming. I put the altcoins section on ignore a long time ago for this very reason. I hate it when I start a thread and the responses I get make no sense at all.
If Steve makes the necessary changes, this campaign seems like a good opportunity for regular and good posters to be rewarded as such. That's all I'm saying.
1704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 18, 2019, 03:39:08 PM
Ok, I'll probably get crucified for this but we had the exact same pump about one month ago, right before the planned Ethereum fork, the one that got delayed to the end of this month.
1705  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: February 18, 2019, 02:51:09 PM
I never counted my posts, never tried to reach any quota for signature campaigns and yet I can easily post 100 times per week without spamming.
This is actually what makes this campaign interesting. You just need to be more "picky" about who you chose to participate.

Most of your post are in Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion or in Local board, but since Stake obviously counts everything, I guess it's not hard to write 100 posts per week, especially if they look like this :

The internet. Wink

Not now please, I'm watching a replay of the World Cup semi final.
Kiddin' too lol

Very cool then !  Smiley
And thanks for taking this with so much class.

That fight was nuts.

 Roll Eyes
The WO thread is probably the best one on this forum lol. But I guess you wouldn't know about that because it's a cool thread (or a thread for cool people if you prefer) where people actually have real conversations... and fun (yes it's possible on a Bitcoin forum, you should try it). There's no spamming there, try again.
Do you really wanna analyze my posts lol ? I have earned twice as many merits as you did (I must be the 60st when it comes to merits received here). I'll be a self-made hero before the end of the week probably and I only have an activity of 504.
You picked the wrong guy to call a spammer Columbo.

https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=kenzawak

EDIT : just to prove how ridiculous this is, do you have any idea why I posted this ?

That fight was nuts.

That fight was stopped because one of the fighters got kicked in the balls...
I MADE A JOKE !!! You should report it, seriously.

Why not let Steve do as he said ? He'll let the first week go as it is and then kick the ones that are not "Worthy".
1706  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: February 18, 2019, 02:24:02 PM
I agree
In order to limit the temptation for the spammers I suggest you to set a limit of posts payed per week.
20 as example

Well... I disagree. If you do that, you can bet rewards won't be anything special... and there are many other campaigns that will pay more or at least the same amount.

*and my GF really has hard feeling eating meat, after what the animals go through and sh*t, she doesn’t says anybody else has to stop, but just for her own feeling Wink *

Hey Mic, been reading your vegetarian story. First of all, you'll only be vegetarian when you stop eating fish too. Right now you're just a guy who doesn't eat meat.

Anyway, not my point... I've been a vegetarian for 25 years now and I look and feel fucking great. I'm not gonna send you pics but let's say I have a bodybuilder kind of physique (big guy with abs all year). So you don't need meat to be muscular or even just athletic, trust me.
In today's world, most foods are shit. Soy is no better than meat. The best you can do is eat the less shitty ones.
Being vegetarian is always better healthwise and easily doable. Me ? I eat a lot, probably around 4-5000 calories per day : pasta ,eggs, bread, fruits, protein powders (I cook with them)... so the food is not really an issue, you have less options but you get used to it.
Not gonna start a moral debate about animals and how we can survive without killing / hurting them though (I don't have the energy).
1708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 18, 2019, 07:01:43 AM

Also check out Metformin, a diabetes pill that is now under testing for prolonging life.
https://www.wired.com/story/this-pill-promises-to-extend-life-for-a-nickel-a-pop/
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02432287

Enjoy the gas on metformin !
But yeah it lowers your blood sugar levels so it's good healthwise.

It's also a great supplement to take whenever you eat shitty food (i.e. a cheat meal if you follow a diet).

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5111005.0

For bitcointalk.org's 10th anniversary later this year, I was thinking that it might be cool to produce a limited run of 50-300 coins and give them out (maybe all-expenses-paid or maybe at cost) to users who meet some to-be-determined criteria. I'm not a collector, though, so I'm not knowledgeable about this stuff.

 - Does this sound like a good idea?
 - What features would make the coin especially interesting?
 - What's the best way to get a coin like this made?

>>>

Somehow I feel goaded into a reply:

There's nothing funny about it and we won't be certain how much money we have lost (assertions will be difficult) until the legal process is complete and from my perspective it is mildly embarrassing - I can only imagine how others feel.  There is a modicum of hope that some money will be recovered though with all the lawyers and bean-counters involved, any amounts of cash and/or coin recovered is dwindling as they take their pound of flesh for services rendered.  I stand to lose some (or all) of the CAD I have on the QuadrigaCX exchange but thanks to jbreher for reminding me about the proof of keys, I transferred the Bitcoin held on QuadrigaCX back to my local wallets on Dec. 31st.

It's disheartening but nothing new in Bitcoin.  I've been screwed by Butterfly Labs on ASIC purchases, screwed by KNC miner who had my money for nearly a year without delivering my mining device or refunding my money(Bitcoin), I've been screwed out of funds when BTC-TC got shaken down by the SEC, screwed out of funds by creativex when he disappeared with investor funds from our mining operation bASIC Mining, screwed by ASICMiner (friedcat) when they went tits up and he disappeared after moving the shares from BTC-TC to Havelock Investments, slightly screwed over by AMHash (which may or may not have been mining at all), nearly screwed by Cryptsy though I never kept much on there as it was only used for exchanging my mined altcoin for Bitcoin, I had set up an account on GOX but never put money or coins in it fortunately, I've even been screwed on a coffee purchase using Bitcoin here on the forum.  Fuck.  Any normal person probably would have quit Bitcoin by now but I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

I know you like percentages JJG so I'll give you two.  My CAD on deposit with QuadrigaCX (which I stand to lose) is ~300% of my total investment in Bitcoin or ~7% of the money I spent on cigarettes when I was young(er) and foolish(er).

Sorry about that and about my post which was really stupid(I'll edit it).
I honestly didn't think anybody here had lost any money in Quadriga.
For me it was just a small exchange, I hadn't even heard of it before this whole thing. Plus not many here in this thread seemed to care much about it.
Again, sorry.

The thing with ONG is it was already listed on Binance but you couldn't trade it.
So a lot people were expecting that announcement because they had some ONG (airdrops, staking...) but it was useless... until yesterday when many decided to move it from their wallets to Binance and exchange it for BTC (I know I did). Price went up +100% (funny that ONG, the GAS of Ontology had a higher price than ONT itself : almost $1) and of course went down afterwards.
