1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON is bad coin, here is why on: November 27, 2023, 01:12:09 PM
Technologically Ethereum is much more advanced than Tron. But Tron has strong marketers. I think that Tron is still afloat thanks only to the managers

You are right, Tron is as popular due to it's marketers only, while Ethereum's all growth has been mostly natural. If ethereum can somehow tone it's fees down, it'll be icing on cake.

I don't wanna use evm chains for cheap fees, I want to use ethereum only.

we have seen bank account getting freezed due to some discrepancy in P2P transaction as you don't know if you are exchanging your token for Fiat with a scammer or a trader. My friend's bank account got freezed by cyber crime department stating the sender was part of online scammer.

Same happened to me years ago during blanket ban of RBI, I used p2p exchanges to convert to INR back then. I received the money, gave confirmation that I received money, after about a week, money was chargebacked.

I recently transfered around INR3000 via bank transfer from wazirx without any issue and transaction was very fast in INR arrived in 1-2sec. I don't know about sending big figures.

On fee detail section on wazirx there is written:
"From 1 July 2022, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) of 1% (5% in exceptional cases) of the trade value will be deducted on each trade as per the Government’s guidelines issued on Virtual Digital Asset (VDA) transfers. This TDS can be claimed while filing your ITR."

Means we need to claim this TDS and 30% tax while filing ITR.

You can use colodax to save on tds [1]. Ganesh chaturthi offer still live.

1143  Local / India / Re: ICC World Cup 2023 - India discussion on: November 27, 2023, 11:11:10 AM
Last time we did see a few invaders who obviously were not Indians.

Is it wrong if non-indian comments in India board?

Yeah it is as the thread was created for Indians to discuss on their local board. If it was for non Indians they could use the gambling discussion thread where there are mega threads to discuss all three cricket format. That is why a new thread has been created which is self moderated.

Fair, but If they got something to say while reading particular comment on this sub's visit, it should be ok to respond to that. Creating new comments on it's own? Go to gambling board.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether publishes transaparency report daily, why is it suspicious stablecoin? on: November 27, 2023, 10:31:50 AM
They actually post some reports from Independent Auditor https://tether.to/en/transparency/#reports but I guess the skeptics in this forum who already understand how important is decentralization will never trust any centralized project like Tether, and I think they are right, not to trust centralized project, but until there is a decentralized stable coin, USDT will still be the top option.

There are options like DAI which are comparatively more decentralized than usdt.

1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are new altcoins being too risky? Current market trend on: November 27, 2023, 10:18:10 AM
I am active again after a while and a lot has changed but the apathy of tier two altcoins remains same and it's absolute sham because most of the tier two altcoins have hit rockbottom and to a point of no return and some trusted coins like LUNA, FTX, Celsius, and BlockFI etc where people have lost their life long savings and on the other hand we have tokens like Solano, XRP, XLM, BNB, ADA and Matic who are heading on path of recovery.

How do you judge altcoin tier?

Regarding failed coins you mentioned, there is one thing in common that is those were into finance stuff (Luna on it's own was good chain but pegging ust to it, destroyed it) while the survivors are into pure blockchain stuff (except bnb, which is related to binance, cz resigning affected it).
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layer 2 Blast and airdrop! on: November 27, 2023, 10:04:25 AM
Blast is well well done scheme, they have all implemented all marketing gimmicks that makes project popular, I wouldn't be surprised if fruit turns out sour (I know this contradicts my previous comment, but this is my new judgement). Also, all this hefty amounts of ether staked, makes it come under limelight of hackers.

because what has happened is that several projects have leaked information about the existence of this airdrop, which can cause a commotion among hunters to create multi-wallets to get more airdrops.

Blast is kind of project, where if hunters farm it, project wins.

Lol, yesterday I saw a video where Gautam Gambhir was talking about how we start talking about giving captaincy to player who performs well. You can check here [1].

Guy is 21 years old, let him play with veterans first. Moreover, if player performs well, it doesn't equal to being a good captain. Leadership is different thing altogether.
Gambhir is an absolute weirdo based on what I observed since he says a lot of crazy stuff sometimes without thinking twice. If anyone should be given captaincy, it should be someone like Bumrah, Rahul etc.

May be, but his statement was correct, no?

Captain should be someone who is cool headed, Rahul seemed under pressure in WC final, Bumrah I have got idea. Rohit is fine atm, if Indian team can find someone like Dhoni, much better.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 27, 2023, 04:47:15 AM
Even if SKY or Ishan Kishan gets out, they get the required runs for the team and then get out. If Rituras Gaycott wasn't confident then he wouldn't have scored 50 plus runs may say his strike rate was a little lower than other players but he scored fifty plus runs was definitely a must collect for the team. Rituraj Gaykot is the opening batsman, India would have been under a lot of pressure if he had got out early but he held on and scored runs which is why India ended up with 330 plus. But towards the end, Rinku Singh's batting impressed me, perhaps in 16 to 20 overs, Rinku Singh's strike rate is above 200, that is, if he bowls 20 balls in 16 to 20 overs, he scores 40 runs in those 20 balls.  Rinku Singh will be a reliable batsman for India T20 team and I am sure he will be a regular in the XI.

At least proofread before you post.

India beat Australia in all three formats of the match. Like in fielding , if you see the catches taken by Yahswasvi Jiaswal, he took two very good catches. He batted well as well and seems to be solid material for captaincy.

Hardik Pandya rumour was only a rumour, he stays with GT. GT team still one of the strongest in tourney, this year also we are likely to see MI/CSK/GT in finals.

It seems they traded after the retention deadline passed and trade window extended until December 12.

Hardik returns to MI, Cameron Green moves to RCB

Pretty weird though, so we can't trust the retained list until Dec 12 and GT traded Hardik? From cricketing perspective its worst decision but IPL has been business than cricket.

That was such a fiasco, I kept myself glued to X for this update only, after retentions were confirmed I took sigh of relief because I liked him in GT, it's his territory after all. But, apparently they retained him only to trade him.

Hopefully, Williamson will lead the GT now.
1152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your big plans for the Bitcoin halving coming up in a few months? on: November 27, 2023, 03:49:31 AM
In prior bull markets (2017/'21), I missed out on gains due to not converting paper profits into real profits, so my only plan this time around is to sell coins. I understand you can't know what's the top so I'm looking to dca-out certain percent out of my holding each time I feel like it's good price to sell.
So what you break up when you see a good price and then sell is actually not a problem because it will still be profitable, but it would be nice to keep holding in a few years but only for bitcoin.

Yea, it's good to convert one's profits into BTC, but do not hold onto alts, as they may never recover and you'll just become a bag holder.

My mistake was to hold onto alts forever, eventually they all bitten the dust.

Convert to BTC/ETH (ETH is my personal choice) or any stablecoin but never keep holding onto alts.

I had assumption that hardware wallets are rugged devices and can handle rough usage but it turned out so wrong when I my ledger nano s got f'ked on it's own due to lying idle in humid climate (it's likely the reason, but I'm not 100% sure).
So in short your funds there got lose? I think it can still be recoverable right since it has a paraphrase keys? I had ledger also but since Ive got no extra fund for keeping or storing I didnt use and only stays only the cabinet. Since I mostly used of my funds for trading and staking. But I doubt that hardware wallets are created for rugged. Of course they made that to keep users fund safe at all.

Yea, there are not lost, I have seed, I mean I ought to.

Still it works but screen has gotten dim (can't see anything unless in dark environment), characters appear broken, buttons work fine.

Indian batting destroyed Aussies in second T20i as well. Surya and Kishan both got out on playing balls that should have been left alone.

Gaikwad despite making a fifty, didn't appear confident on crease.

Ipl retention and release list, couple surprises in my personal perspective. 1) Rcb releasing hazlewood and 2) Delhi releasing Phil Salt, other than that they did well with release I'd say, hopefully they also release their uniform and change to something eye catching.

Gt, kkr, csk, mi my early predictions for qualifiers.

1157  Economy / Economics / Re: How come both the "gas" and "fee" prices shoot up without ETH and BTC move? on: November 26, 2023, 09:53:06 AM
Transaction fee depends on blockchain congestion, and you pay it via native token of that blockchain (Bitcoin > BTC, Ethereum >ETH), it has nothing to do with dollar price.

BNB and Solana, Solana even more so in these two.
